Typical Roman restaurant in Milano. Friendly service. Heavy food, careful with what you order, probably better avoid fried part. Very generous (large) portions. With tablecloths.

Nice dinner. Main courses was the highlight, appetizers could be better (both selection and taste) but nonetheless, was quickly remidiated by the main course ( cacio e pepe and gricia). Service was also friendly and good timing. Overall good night out

Great location and good service. Large wine list. But I have a question for the chef. The rabbit was tough, and probably needed additional heat treatment. There was not enough sauce and juiciness. The side dish was salted chicory, it was sour and bitter, I probably need to soak it or use some kind of marinade. Inedible for me.

I was a bit disappointed since this restaurant was recommended to me by a Roman friend when I visited Rome. Since I didn’t go then I imagined it would be a good idea to visit in Milan. The rigatoni carbonara was nothing special. The place itself is nice and the staff serving is also friendly but it’s the food that’s mediocre.

We went to Velavevodetto a Milano on recommendation from some locals who said they said fantastic classic pasta. We were seated on their outdoor patio and served some complimentary bread. [TRADITIONAL FIRST COURSE] +Tonnarelli pasta with Pecorino cheese and black pepper for €15 - This is a classic cacio e pepe dish using tonnarelli versus spaghetti. It was cooked al dente which was firm to the bite, and the portion size was massive like American style. This was our first time having cacio e pepe in this traditional format, and I didn't enjoy it like I thought I would have. Tonnarelli is too thick for me, and with the al dente and large portion size, even two of us couldn't finish it. This may be great for Italians, but I personally am not a fan. This comes down to preference. - 3/5 [SECOND COURSE] +Meatballs with sauce for €14 - This is a simple meatball and sauce dish which was very plain. Again, this comes down to preference, but it wasn't for me. - 3.5/5 [SIDE] +Mixed Salad for €5 - This was raw vegetables and salad without any dressing. Nothing special. - 3/5 Overall, I thought Velavevodetto a Milano was okay. Apparently, this place is known by locals for having great pasta for Milan. Milan is more known for saffron risotto versus pasta and pizza. If you're not Italian, you can try this place out, but it may be a boring, unsatisfying meal for you. I personally wouldn't come back here.

A disappointing meal unfortunately, the service was dismissive, my friend asked about the origins of the name of the restaurant and the waiter told her to 'read the menu' (there was no information in the menu). We agreed to the offer of a few appetisers for the table but then six dishes arrived, plus bread, between 4 of us, noting that we had already ordered main and side dishes - we felt taken advantage of. A few of the appetisers were very good but the main dishes (which had been recommended) were extremely salty despite being warned against another dish because it was salty! Coffee, listed as included required some negotiation...and finally, two of four of us had painful stomach cramps soon after we left the restaurant and needed to find a bathroom en route to our apartment. Not a good experience.

I heard good things about this restaurant's location in Rome, so we decided to visit their new spot in Milan, as we came up on it randomly. The place is beautiful and had high hopes for it, but sincerely this was one of the worst Carbonara I've ever had. Something was off. I had better pasta in Italian restaurants in America.

Nice food, but awful and discriminatory service. We were the only foreigners in the restaurant. We waited more than 45 minutes for the first dish to come and received it only after asking the waiter. Other came after an hour and was warm. In the meantime all locals who made orders after us were served. We didn’t received the wine we ordered. In modern world such discrimination is unacceptable!
