Service was awesome, middle of lunch hour and it was busy, but had my sammie in like 4 minutes it was wicked fast. Not 5 bites later one of the workers came to make sure everything was alright, of course it was. Guy was super friendly and it was obvious he truly cared about the quality of the product and the customer experience. They just got a customer for life outta me. Superb experience all around. This is the first review I’ve ever written about any establishment ever. That how much I recommend.
Small sandwich spot in Los Gatos, which also has spots in Milpitas and Downtown San Jose. They have a great selection of sandwich choices each comes on their signature warn fresh back sourdough bread. Definitely would go again. No pics because the sandwich was so good.
Really enjoyed my first experience here. The place is super clean, the staff was extremely friendly and quick - it was simply a pleasure to come here for lunch... onto the food: Sandwich - I got a spicy turkey sandwich with everything. nice touches: you get a choice of mustard (regular/spicy) and an optional dill pickle spear on the side (no charge). Bread was freshly baked (still warm) with a nice little crunch to it, everything was fresh - about as good as it gets. Cookie :) - they were selling cookies at the register which I (wrongly) assumed were purchased from elsewhere - they freshly bake these as well!! My friend and I both got different ones (chocolate chip + lemon), I'd consider both to be outstanding - the lemon one especially is unique. I will 100% come back...this place can fit any mold you are looking for...come alone to eat there / pickup, a 1:1 spot, a catering spot for a larger group - they nailed it.
About the best deli in Milpitas is the CRUST Sourdough Deli, don't ask why, just believe it because it's true! After spending a couple of hours with my old pal Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman we decided to have lunch, and well...the CRUST Deli called to us like a colony of ants to Aunt Bee's picnic. We didn't have a lot of time because the Wayback machine was set to take Peabody back to times best forgotten. But....how can you forget those sandwiches from CRUST they were Amazing! 5 Stars. ☆☆☆☆☆
Was in the neighborhood and heard great things about Crust SD. I ordered #13, The Italian, it was delicious and fresh. Especially enjoyed the freshly baked warm sourdough roll. They have lots of outdoor tables and plenty of parking. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. However, there was a couple without a mask and nobody said anything to them. Even though signs are posted everywhere to wear a mask... I just waited outside for my number to be called.
Fantastic hidden sandwich shop! Large portion sizes, super friendly staff, and a good variety of classic sandwhiches all on sourdough bread. Everything I've here has been delicious and will quickly become the 'go-to' lunch spot for the local offices.
Never experienced such pleasant & friendly customer service! The owner couldn't be nicer or attentive to the customers. The sour dough bread and cookies are freshly baked every morning and the sandwiches are very tasty! I also loved the atmosphere- very clean and lots of natural light- absolutely loved it!!
Sandwiches were delicious! The old man at the register was so nice to us! He checked in with is when we were eating outside. I tried the chipotle chicken sandwich this time but I'm definitely trying all the others one next time too! Highly recommend!
Crust is 100% rip off of Freshly Baked in San Jose which is the original sourdough bread sandwich shop. Crust has done a nice job mimicking Freshly Baked and opened many locations to try and capitalize on the concept. I absolutely blame Freshly Baked for not doing so 25+ years back when they had the sourdough sandwich market.
Excellent deli. Great selection of hot/cold sandwiches and salads. We had a delicious deli chicken sandwich The sourdough here is absolutely perfect. Some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend.
So happy I got to have a taste of this wonderful place while visiting! The bread was so fresh and the perfect texture (soft yet slight crunch). The sauce was just right (tang, creamy, just enough spice) the veggies were crisp and fresh! The cookies were a great treat to top it all off!
Good tasting sandwiches made fresh. Bread was really good. Ordered pick via Yelp. Only compliant was that no pickles were given. Not sure if I missed that option but missed them pickles in my sammich!
Great restaurant addition to the area. The fresh sourdough bread makes this a special treat, great service and the portions are very filling. Always get the Italian with the spicy sauce - lots of meat and fillings. The outdoor eating area is very nice - expansive patio and sunny. Pricing a little more than the average run of the mill sandwich shops, but worth it for the bread alone - why settle for average?
Excellent sandwiches and ambience and service... all in all a great experience. Very highly recommend it for some awesome sandwich experience. We ordered the beef dip and the triple meat sandwiches and they both were delicious also pretty big portions. For a small person it is easily 2 meals. However it is not cheap. Expect ~$15 per person.
The owner/manager was awesome (in the Yankees hat) and the guys behind the counter were great. The bread was super fresh and had a generous amount of meat/veggies. Super tasty. Great bright location with a ton of nice seating options. Reasonably priced. Great spot.
The bread is amazing at Crust! Highly recommend the Italian with everything and ask for spicy mustard and spicy sauce, if you want a little kick.
I can't rave enough about this place! Hands down, one of the best sandwich places I've ever visited. Generous portions of high quality deli meats and the bread is absolutely incredible: warm, fluffy, and with a thin sourdough crust. The house spread is absolutely on point, both regular and spicy. Definitely worth a visit (forego the delivery so the bread is that much fresher)!
Great sandwiches conveniently located for people who are hosting business meetings. Once specialties cafe closed, it opened up a large hole in peoples hearts where only a large sandwich could fill. Crust sourdough has done a good job of this. The bread has a nice texture and the place seems organized. Would come back
Wonderfully delicious meats, fast service, clean store, and lots of outdoor seating. This is the best lunch you'll find in the area. Turkey, Pastrami, Roast Beef, Roasted Chicken, and a nice menu of meat and condiment mixes make it easy to choose a sandwich that is precisely what you feel like eating. I was very happy to find that they can do Gluten Free lettuce wrap or bowl-style options for the sandwiches as well. My Keto/Carnivore diet relies on high quality protein from meat, and this meal had my stomach giving two thumbs up.
I have come here twice now, and am obsessed! Their sourdough is unmatched. It's so soft and fluffy, yet holds up to the sandwich ingredients. I've tried the chipotle chicken, spicy turkey, and french dip they had as a special, and they are all SO good. The ingredients are super fresh and all the meat is well seasoned and tasty. Definitely adding this to the rotation. Thanks CRUST! :)
This place is an amazing find. The bread here is perfect and makes their sandwiches so good. They also really take pride in their meats here; I was able to sample a few different kinds and they were all great! Roast beef and the pepperoni were fantastic.
I loved it, my three meat sandwich was absolutely superb, and the spicy spread was just the perfect amount of spice to add some extra flair to the sandwich. The veggies were pleasent, the bread was perfect. And complimentary pickles?! The man at the counter was also very helpful and informative. I originally wasn't going to get the spicy spread, but he convinced me, and my sandwich was better for it.
Great service. The Sourdough is fresh. I'm not sure if they bake it there or have it catered in. Over I have tried 3 sandwiches and they were all very tasty. Very close to my place of business so I plan to visit there often. Price wise they are a little higher than California Sourdough but from a taste standpoint very good! You can eat in or take it to go.
Such a good sandwich! The bread was fresh and had a crunchy crust and soft inside. The spicy spread was delicious and went well with the Italian meats in the sandwich. Highly recommend
Wow, just wow. Have you ever had bread baked TO ORDER for your sandwiches? As a not-big-sandwich-fan, I was floored by how soft yet chewy Crust's sourdough bread is. They use high quality Boar's Head meats, with a curated menu perfect for a quick lunch. I enjoyed the outdoor seating and ample parking, and the entire team there is wonderfully welcoming. Great family owned new local business!
My buddy been telling me about this place and I happened to be by there so I picked up a few sandwiches. Came home with two Italians and the new hot pastrami. The hot pastrami was a biggie and it came in a box. It was a few dollars more than the other sandwiches at around $18 but it was a lot of food, I had to eat half and then half again later. Each time I was so full I had to rethink my life choices while waiting to digest the meal so be warned; you will get full. This location got really packed after I came in at around 11:50am but they knocked out the sandwiches pretty quick, not a long wait at all. It’s a nice clean store tucked away among businesses. I will for sure be back to try the other sandwiches for sure. The sourdough with the spread can be eaten by itself as is.
The most amazing hot pastrami in San Jose The hot pastrami sandwich is pricy, but worth it - I can assure you. The sourdough bread combined with fresh, juicy pastrami is something really special and I look forward to coming back every time I’m in San Jose (every few months at least) Plenty of seating outside as well as seating inside.
Another addition to the list of local sandwich spots that specialize in high quality artisanal sandwiches baked from fresh bread...specifically sourdough bread. Not a complaint, just an observation. Even though Crust is one of the newer spots, they are very efficient and work like a well oiled machine. The customer service is friendly as well and the prices won't leave holes in your wallet. Items I devoured so far: ~ #10. The Three Meat Ultimate - 5/5 Come one, come all carnivores... Meat galore. Definitely Anti-Vegan and Anti -Vegetarian: A good amount of meat stacked for all the Metatarians. ~ #13. Italian - 4/5 Solid sandwich stacked with Salami, Pepperoni, Ham. ~ Coconut Macadamia cookie w/ nuts - 5/5 Soft, supple, moist...oh so delicious! Not too sweet. I'm sad for your if your are allergic to nuts.
Happened to stumble on this place during their soft opening. What a fantastic surprise! The sandwich is amazing with a fresh baked sourdough “crust”, boars head meat selection, and the perfect amount of fixings to go with it. There is the perfect variety of drinks and chips of both the standard variety (Lays, Doritos) as well as the more unique (dirty brand) flavors. I had a great dill pickle on the side and some spicy pepperoncini (available for self serve) as well. Pro-tip: Because it was their a soft opening, I was able to also sample their spicy spread which actually isn’t that spicy (I eat spicy) but has a fantastic slightly smokey Sriracha flavor which I will add to my sandwich each time...or dip on the side. Super pro-tip: When it comes to fresh baked cookies I’m usually a chocolate chip purist at heart. But it also being their soft opening, I was able to sample the white chocolate macadamia with coconut shreds and the lemon. They’re all amazing but you have to try the lemon! I can’t quite put my finger on the flavor but it’s a light lemon based flavor that reminds me of something I just can’t put my finger on. Try it and tell me what you think! The location itself is a beautiful and clean design and service is EXTREMELY fast. I think I waited five minutes for my order if that. Perfect for the grab and go at lunch, or if you want to dine in, they have indoor seating and were installing a bunch of outdoor seating as well. They are only open during lunchtime but close enough to my work that I will definitely be back for this as a favorite.
We shared the Royal, #11, spicy. Turkey and pastrami, spicy mustard, and all the fixings! The fresh sourdough is out of this world delicious, soft on the inside, chewy crust on the outside. Highly recommend this stop, the only issue was trying to decide what to choose 😂
8/9/23, @12noon. Fast service, taste crunchy sourdough bread. Slightly pricey for a sandwich.

Perfect lunch spot! Fresh sandwiches, salads, and cookies. Outdoor seating was great on a sunny afternoon. Even better on the weekend with no crowds. Couldn't ask for better service and a warm welcome for some fans here for the superbowl
I truly do not write reviews often, but this place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I had the roast beef dip (I’m a big dip fan) and it was 100 out of 100. The sourdough bread was so fresh and SO GOOD! The beef portion was huge and the cheese, onions and this faint sweet sauce was superb!!! There’s only one thing wrong and that’s that there isn’t one of these places in Texas where I’m from!!! I googled for food near me and I’m grateful the algorithm led me here. People, Come get a sandwich here it’s sick!!!
Amazing sandwiches. Perfect sourdough, not too thick. Great sauce. Excellent meat to veggie ratio. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here once a week. This may be the best in the South Bay. Everything on point and so simple to order food here. Great service too, everyone was super nice even though the lunch rush was busy. I will definitely come back when I am in Milpitas again.
I absolutely love this place! Crust is my favorite deli in South Bay and definitely one of the best in the Bay Area in general. I suggest you order The Royal with spicy mustard and spicy mayo or the hot pastrami. Service is always 10/10, staff are super friendly, and if you have a big order be sure to call ahead of time. Oh, and the cookies are bomb!
First time here. The quality is outstanding. Boars head meats and fresh sour dough bread, are the perfect combo. (I ordered the Turkey/Salami “premier”. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Environment had easy parking, easy ordering and overall a great lunch. Highly recommend.

It is very delicious to eat here. One request and recommendation would be to add nutrition/calorie information to the menu.
This eatery is aptly named. Their sourdough bread is fantastic, and they have regular fresh batches several times an hour that they take pride in announcing to the whole store (as well they should). I would come here just for a piece of their bread. They could be a bit clearer on their menu, as the sandwich I got was spicy (but didn't state that anywhere). An employee was nice enough to scrape the culprit (the marinara sauce) off for me, but it still made its presence felt (while being rather dry at the same time). If they updated their menu descriptions (especially if they added ingredient/nutritional info), they'd get a full 5 stars.
Sandwich - pastrami was really good. Sourdough was super fresh and toasted to perfection. Reasonably priced sandwiches. They use Boars Head meats. Got a combo with chips and drink. I was very surprised that my 1qt bottle of tea was $4.50! Won't get that drink again. Will return again. Really like their sandwiches.
Sandwiches at Crust Sourdough Deli are decent, though not that special. Standard deli subs and the portion is also average (for the price). There are lots of options to choose from and they use Boar's Head deli meat. The outdoor seating area is fantastic, tables are well separated, with both sunny spots and well shaded ones.
I was craving a good dip sandwich. So I came by this place for lunch. It is located inside a business park but you can see it from the street so you can't miss it. I ordered the roast beef dip and it was tasty. The only thing is I would have liked it served warm. But a few seconds in the microwave at home fixed that. The price is a pretty penny but not much different from other sandwich spots. I do plan to come back to try a turkey or chicken sandwich.
Great sandwich spot. Simple menu, but not sure if they'll customize an order. Service was great and friendly. First time here and I got the Crust Sourdough Dip with half pound of roast beef. The bacon jam in it is awesome! Only one napkin given in bag :( Only one for a sandwich and one that comes with au jus? Need more next time. Great outdoor seating as well.

Since opening, it has gone down hill a little as one would expect as the owner/manager isn’t on site. The amount of meat has lessened, price overall is quite high (-$19) for a sandwich and a can soda. I justified the higher price for what initially offered but has creeped up for less product. At least they’ll serve you a pickle if you request it. I guess it’s one one way to economize by not automatically giving a pickle. However at their 1st location I was put-off by having to fish for a pickle that is handled by customers and that not hygienic. I’ve found myself not going as much but went there this week to feeling a little bummed that things haven’t improved.

I met a friend here for lunch. It was his suggestion. All the sandwiches are $12.49. Want a can of soda with that? Add another $1.99. The pastrami sandwich I had was very good. Love the bread. Service was quick, has indoor and outdoor seating. Office complex parking around it.
Only like...2/3 of my sandwich had meat in it at best. It's a good sandwich, but I'd realistically only put it a step above a subway or Togos compared to a lot of places in the bay area
This sandwich shop has some amazing sandwiches, and the flavors truly are delicious. The servings are big too, if you get a foot long. So why the 3 stars? Because a foot long with a drink, some chips, and a cookie costs over $30. This pricing is absolutely insane when you can go to Hard Rock Cafe and get a huge meal for $25. Further still, a meal at the local movie theater wilk cost you around $30. So, these prices are highly above what they should be asking. The food is delicious. But at a $30 price point, this sandwich becomes more expensive than a meal at Chili's, Olive Garden, or other sit down restaurants. This is a sandwich shop plain and simple, not a Michelin star cafe.
I find it absolutely IRRITATING the lack of attention to detail. I've been to this place about five different times. Each time, I've asked to please get a pickle with my order, and only once have I actually gotten it. Today, I ordered through Doordash for my team. I clearly requested pickle spears for each sandwich, and not ONE pickle was included. It sucks because the sandwiches are fantastic but why are pickles such a big deal? If you need to start charging for them to be included in the order then please do so. This is irritating. I spent $85 for sandwiches and didn't even get any pickles.
Comparable in quality and service to the safeway deli, but double the cost. I've gone here for good long while. Recently I just feel like the cost isn't worth it. I just walked out with two sandwiches and chips and I'm $40 lighter. A safeway sandwich is $9. They use the same ingredients, sans bread. Safeway has upped their bread game recently, though. I may still come here once in a while for an Italian sandwich, which safeway cannot do well, but otherwise, I'll go to spot that's a better value. I just can't stomach paying $18 for a roast beef sandwich.

I got The Royal with spicy spread and the sandwich was very very okay. The bread was very hard and the "spicy" spread wasn't spicy at all and not very flavorful either. Not very generous with the meat and lacking in flavor overall, nothing was distinctive and it felt like a chore to eat it because it was so bland. For the price, I was expecting better.

Ordered a#11 and when I went to eat the sandwich it was Turkey and Salami. No one was even there a it was not busy at all. What a waste of my time and money i even asked if it was Turkey and Pastrami when I picked it up and the lady said yes. What a joke never again they don't have customer service.
