They got the best bbq in town. The spices and flavors are well balanced. 💯
Very good bbq place, and it opens till 1am! You can go to enjoy a few skewers even in late night, just like in China. Recommend lamb and eggplant.
FT bbq is a great place for delicious late night Chinese skewers! I normally get their chicken gizzards because they're extremely good and really cheap ($1.10). I also really like their fish tofu and taiwanese sausage. FT bbq also serves flour soup, which is great for a cold night. Their seafood pancake is another great dish to accompany your skewers. I would definitely recommend anyone to try it.
Good bbq, close very late. You can grab the last bite before you hit home from a late night shift. They also have two TV hang on the wall near the entrance, so make sure you find a spot way in, so you can sit back, relax with some Beer and enjoy the game. Talk to the boss, whos also a big sport fan! (if hes the boss..)
Highly recommend this restaurant also. They have a different taste but addicting. We always come here with 25 people of our family. Must come here!!!
Very delicious and clean, will definitely try it again!
Best Chinese BBQ in bay area
Honestly if you do the math, the price per dish and price for service (staff per patron) is actually better than an upscale AYCE steak place like galpão gaucho or fogo de chão
Amazing lamb and beef skewers. Lamb wasn't gamey at all, I almost thought it was beef. Great value too, as the skewers were twice bigger than in other restaurants.
Our favourite Chinese bbq place in the Bay Area when we are looking for comfort food or to let off steam from work and life. Very relaxing setting like a bar with TVs playing sports. Tasty skewers with wide range of alcohols to pair with. Appetisers are also excellent to go with the alcohols.
Very delicious and authentic northern China BBQ, fresh and tasty. Good and quick service, discount when you pay cash. We had good time there, recommended 👍👍👍
Love this place! It’s always fresh and hot! Food is well seasoned and just hits the spot! The pricing does hit you because you just want to keep eating more and more skewers!
One of the few late night spots open after I get off of work. The combo fried rice is my favorite and some of the other goodies I order on the side make my taste buds and my tummy happy!
The best place of authentic Northeast Chinese BBQ. Love the lamb skewers, chicken skin, beef tender skewers, chicken feet. The appetizers are vegetarian friendly. We love to come with our friends every month!
I’m from socal. I would consider moving to Bay Area just to eat here. Lamb/chicken skewers are so tender. The cumin flavor is very appetizing. Lotus root and mushroom entrees are a delight for vegetarians. Pricing is wallet friendly. Open late!
Good place to have beer with friends because they will close really late.
My mind is blown. I think we found a go-to place. - the food is great - the prices are very reasonable - it's open late night We had chicken bbq, fish, shrimp, greens, rice.

Great place with BBQ and Chicke. ShenYang style food is so nice and delicious.

AMAZING MEAT! If your looking for a high protein area come here! It's amazing! One of the best meat places I've ever been to. Great service, nice waiters, great food, it's everything you'd expect from a good restaurant. DEFINITELY recommend this place. Any occasion works. AWESOME!
One of our favorite spots for Chinese food, especially skewers. Small Chinese skewer place serving northern Chinese flavor. Specialties are lamb, chicken wings, fried tofu, grilled mackerel. Not fancy, cheap. Opens late and serves alcohol.
Pretty decent skewers, had a good meal here. Wasn’t a fan of everything but we tried a lot and I definitely enjoyed it overall!
food is great no problem. cannot use card if spend not more than ..
I came here with friends for the first time. Everything was good except the beef back straps. That dish was super rubbery. We spit that thing out. Please avoid this dish! It was a deal, but totally not worth it at all. The 10 piece lamb bbq was good along with the lotus root and chicken feet. I had the lucky beer, which was good, too; I loved the bottle. I bought more outside to use as a planter lol The customer service was great. There's plenty of parking.
Interesting BBQ joint. Came here as a large party and took the entire restaurant and indoor seating area. Roughly 100 people. The grills on the table were warming trays and the skewers were brought to the table fully cooked. It's definitely an experience and has traditional Chinese street vendor BBQ vibes although the quality of the ingredients is average. They do have some unique prepared dishes which I enjoyed from the vermicelli garlic scallops and oysters that were super tasty.
FT BBQ is most attractive for its Xinjiang flavoured skewers and is not for the faint of stomach. This is not to say that food is too spicy - although there is a good amount of spice unless you make special request. It is the meat choices: Chicken gizzard is about the least exotic. (But nothing new to ethnic Chinese.) It is also the type of spices: Not everyone like strong cumin overtones. But this small joint makes very good skewers. These are a gang of enthusiastic young people brining a highly specialised food trend from mainland China. If you are in for this food, you'll be craving for more. I haven't had this type of food for a very long time. It was a great satisfaction to find such a place here. In addition to meats, they have several vegetable items that are not traditional on skewers but very tasty, like eggplant and needle mushroom. Be sure to try some. (Lotus is very tasty and traditional.) Each skewer generally costs $1.10, no minimum. This is very much like Xinjiang skewers on Beijing streets, a perfect place for snack. To have a meal, though, you will need lots of $1.10s. Located in a second mall adjacent to Milpitas Square, you won't discover it by casual browsing. I learned about this one following a guide compiled by a group of Bay Area Chinese who bill themselves as "The Gourmet Troop". The space is very small, and cooking skewers takes time. So be patient. One question I have about this place is its placement. Its Chinese name, 奉天, unmistakenly alludes to Northeast. No wonder that guide says this is traditional Northeast. But the skewers are definitely not traditional Northeast. Not at all. (Xinjiang is Northwest, very far from Fengtian, the Northeast town the Chinese name represents.)
Cravings satisfied!! Customer service is blah, but who cares for they live up to their great quality of food and woot woot for the chicken feet hearts and pork and chicken skins!!!!!! 🙌🤗🐖🐽🐷
I recommend lamb, chicken gizzard, chicken cartilage. Avoid beef tenders (very mediocre), squid(strange sauce) and lotus. Service is ok. Parking would be a problem in weekend.
Lamb skewer is pretty good. Service is also quick.

Taste and quality can get about 3.5 star compare to real Chinese northeast BBQ. Price OK. Server attitude not so good sometime, and I experience 2 times with missing items in my takeout order.
We tried about 10 different dishes, only BBQ beef tongue and BBQ squid are good. BBQ shrimp is super dry and tasteless. BBQ beef kebab and lamb kebab are okay/acceptable, but definitely not in the top tier.
Grilled BBQ meat on skewers with spices. If you're a fan of crispy chicken skins, this is a good place to go. Spiciness level is just enough to enhance the meat flavor and cut through the fattiness of the chicken skin. The beef skewers are pretty tender. The lamb skewers were not gamy at all but a little tougher than the beef. Shrimp was ok. Prices are ok with average of $2.75 per skewer. Will try their dumplings next time.
They are open late so that's a plus. Came for late dinner 1030pm, even so was still busy. Food was solid, not bad not amazing. Seemed a little on the expensive side for decent but not outstanding food.
The meat (lamb kebab) was not bad not amazing either. The wait time is really long. The bbq lotus root was a one-star. Avoid!!

Slow service, small portions At first, it was nice of them to let us sit outside. But it was all downhill from there. It all started when they put a lot of Coca-cola on our table without asking us, and it wasn't free (or fun by the way). They then gave us each of our "dishes" (a dish would imply decently sized portions) one at a time, with at least 10 minutes between each one. On top of that, they missed one of our orders, and we had to ask them for the check after waiting for them to bring it to us for 20 minutes. The food wasn't too shabby...
Edit Not sure what happened to this place but came in during dinner time and we were the only ones which should've been the red flag but the food was all dry and burnt I'll attach a photo of the chicken skin. We're moving out of town and thought we'd come back one last time just to be disappointed. 😔 we rarely eat out due to the expenses and was bummed at the outcome of the dinner. We've switched up our spot and this place is spot on. The service, speed, and flavor was great. We will definitely be returning
The value here at least in terms of quantity is bad. I did like the friendly service where the worker actually told me how things worked and offered beverage. There are no minimum orders like some other BBQ places and food came out relatively quick. The food they give you is TINY. Even at ~$1.50 / item, you'd be left feeling ripped off. To their credit, the food isn't as oily or juicy which made it taste healthier, but left me craving for the BBQ from Chef Yangs or TLT. Nothing special and priced too high. I can't recommend it.
The food just tastes so so if you compare them with other Chinese BBQ restaurants.

Was charged more for ordering ahead with phone call. They treated phone call order as delivery order and charged $15 more than eating at the restaurant. Never gonna come again.
Some of the f ood was over cooked. The shrimp is boiled not grilled, and the host lie to us about it. The sausage was cold, seems they didn't grill it at all. By the way, there is no AC in the restaurant, and when I asked them they told me it was out of order, but they turned on just before I left:((( Won't come back, and not recommend friends to go there:((((
Watchout for food poison here! After eating FT BBQ for dinner, my wife woke up in the midnight vomitting and diarrhea. I felt uncomfortable with my stomach too but only ended up diarrhea. I can not say 100% it's due to FT BBQ. But it's highly likely 95% as we didn't eat anything after lunch besides FT BBQ. Will never come back again. Safety is the NO. 1 priority.
Worst experience ever there is no bbq at all
The service is HORRIBLE! The last time we went there and ordered to much. The young guy gave us a box and then suddenly a lady run to our table and grabbed the box out of my hand rudely! Later she came back with a super tiny plastic foam box and started to use the box to pull the kebab out of the bamboo skewer. She tried so hard that not only the box was broken apart, also the kebab flew out of the box and dropped on the dirty and oily table. She didn't say sorry, actually she was very angry. We were stunned because we didn't ask her to do this for us. Before she run to our table, we had already pull the kebab out of the stainless steel skewers and returned them to the bamboo holder. The bamboo skewer should be disposable. If not, she could simply let us know! There are so many good bbq and good restaurant nearby. So please don't waste your time and money.
The food is not fresh at all here. We had people in our group who don’t eat pork or beef. The server knew about this but when the food came out we were misinformed as to which was which. The people who don’t eat beef ended up eating the beef tongue and the people who don’t eat pork ate some of the fried rice that had ham. The chicken skin is oily, the mushrooms were rubbery and dry and the beef tongue tasted off and altogether incredibly pricey.
The lamb BBQ is not fresh and I got a diarrhea afterwards. This place used to be better.
This is the worst bbq I have ever had. The bread slice and bun slice I ordered at Doordash that they only gave me two slices of bread to bake for two or three seconds. No seasoning at all! So upset about it.

Very slow, it took them forever to prepare a simple order.
Very severe diarrhea after eating here. Service is slow: We waited for 30min till the first dish came. The scallops was cold. Terrible. Avoid here!
