I came here wanting to dry the Chili Oil Noodles with Wide Noodles but when I asked for the wide noodles, the employee there said that I couldn't even though on the menu it says I could. Maybe there were out for the day but she couldn't express it? However, the thin noodles is still very good and chewy. You can see into the kitchen to see that they are hand pulled fresh daily. The sauces were also deep and flavorful. They definitely do not skimp on the spices. The total for 2 bowls of noodle was $30 which I think is a little pircey but you do get the quality you pay for.
The best valuable northwest Chinese food around Newark and Fremont, not one of them. However, there is something they can improve, the chicken has put too much tomato or ketchup in, and made the taste too strong. Noodle alway in good quality and quantity. Lamb smells good, and soup as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The noodles are really Q, so if that’s your thing, you’ll love this place. I got the special lamb noodle and it was really good. The lamb was not too gamey and the sauce was really well seasoned. You can also request they use extra wide noodles. There is a vegetarian section in their menu.
This place hits the spot when I'm in the mood for carbs. I've tried a few of the lamb dishes, and they were a pleasant surprise overall. The meat was cooked very well, and the noodles were thick and filling. The portions are pretty reasonable and the food is very filling, so I would recommend it.
Amazing food. I’ve never tasted hand made noodles this fresh before . Just outstanding flavor and I loved the homemade taste. I ate there three days ago and I can’t stop thinking about it ! I’m dying to come back. Customer service is above and beyond, although we may not have spoken the same language, they make you feel so welcome and the atmosphere is very warm. I love this place !
I love this place.the texture of the noodles is the best in the bay area.
This is an authentic Chinese food restaurant. I loved the original taste of the lamb dish with onions and red chilli peppers. It's so great that there are restaurants that keep the the origin of the roots of the culture. I must say that the taste of the lamb was exceptional, I also added the spicy sauce they had available. The perfect mix of spice and sweet taste from the onions.
Very good service from a friendly man. The food was reallllly good. I especially liked the chili oil noodles and the lamb chops. There’s a lot of spices but not in a way that makes it too hot. The flavor is very authentic and doesn’t rely on sugar and fat at all.
Do not sleep on this mom and pop shop. I got the chili oil noodles with hand pulled noodles. Perfect chew and texture on the noodles. Vibrant and bright chili oil sauce with rough chopped pork instead of the more typical ground pork. Just fantastic. Get yourselves over here. You're welcome. Outdoor seating available in a cute patio area that's cordoned off and under umbrellas.
My friend recommended me this place awhile back and I finally got the chance to go. It was not hard finding parking on a Friday evening. As soon as we walked in, a lady welcomed us in and told us to sit anywhere we liked. She was very nice and had great customer service. There was a lot of dishes that looked good on the menu, but we went in with three dishes that sounded good. We will definitely go back and get all three dishes again and try different ones. All three dishes had good flavor and the noodles were just the right texture. I could not stop eating the broth from the soup and the meat was so tender. The other two dishes for us were big enough to share between three people. I will definitely recommend this place.
They moved. Please check their new location before you go! I like it. It’s a great place for your carbohydrate fix! Hand stretched noodles with Good flavor and huge portions. We have to visit at least once of a month! Easy parking and convenient access to and from freeway!
So happy that we found this place! These Chinese northwestern noodles were amazing! I tried their Big Plate Lamb, and it was so delicious. The lamb was so tender and flavorful, with a great lamb smell. The soup was thick and had this perfect mix of sour, spicy, and sweet tastes. I loved the potato cubes in there—they were so soft and just melted in your mouth. And the noodles were fantastic too—soft yet chewy, and they soaked up all that delicious soup. It felt like I was back in China enjoying the real deal. Thanks to the restaurant for bringing such tasty, high-quality noodles here! I'll definitely be back for more.
We had 11 people went for lunch after church. Service is friendly and quick. Ambiance is easy and relaxing! The dishes we ordered were beyond expectations. Noodles are chewy and savory! Will definitely to come back soon!
Our second time here and the food was as fantastic as the first time. The service is exemplary, everyone is so friendly. They accommodated our vegetarian friends and made the big plate dish all veggie and it was equally tasty as the lamb one. The noodles in the big plate are of the wide variety with nice chewiness and bite to it. I can literally drink the sauce from the cucumber appetizer. Can’t wait to try more dishes in the future. Will keep returning for sure!
My go to is the liang pi and the tomato egg noodles here! I used to come here weekly when I lived in the area. Now, it’s a treat when we are in the area. I did take out yesterday and they ran out of liang pi so decided to try the chill oil noodles. Tomato egg noodles are still my favorite! I hope to come back soon for another pick up. Glad they are open during this time.
9/22/24 @ 1pm. Hand pulled noodles. Wide noodles available. Not crowded. Lots of tables.
I actually recommend the “big plate lamb noodles” over the chili oil noodles! The lamb noodles are super saucy, with slight numbing and spice. The noodle texture is firm and chewy. They’re a little too sweet for my taste so I recommend ordering something savoury with it :) Service is really great too.
Great hospitable owner, we went during closed hours and he still waved us in and cooked us himself. the food was very authentic and delicious, saying as a Chinese native perspective. Definitely check it out if you are in the neighborhood.
Childhood favorite, been coming here since elementary school. We always get the 羊大盤, and it never misses! Glad to see that it’s still open and thriving after moving to this new location.
5 stars all around. Received waters within 10 seconds of sitting down. The waiter was helpful with his recommendations and refilled our waters multiple times. Ordered the big plate lamb & chili oil noodle. Both were excellent, and we would order again. The vegetables in the lamb dish were crisp and fresh tasting, and the potatoes were delicious. The only recommendation I would make would be to order the chili oil noodle and add some vegetables to the dish! That’s what I would do next time, and it would be perfection. Thanks again - we’ll be back

Ok Noodle offers Northern Chinese cuisine...more like what you'd find in the north west of the country. A good many of the dishes are offered spicy (you can change/add spice to most any dish) and a number feature lamb and beef...typical of the dishes you would encounter there. Several dishes have super wide noodles that are chewy. Personally, I am not a fan of the oiliness that is typical of this region's food, but that said, the dishes are generally pretty good. The service here is good, and very cheery and helpful. Prices are moderate.
Decent beef noodle soup at this Chinese restaurant, specializing in northwestern Chinese cuisine. Surprisingly large menu. Flavorful soup, good noodle texture, and tender meat. However, the stir-fried veggies were a bit under seasoned. Efficient service. Large free parking lot.
Total Score: 7.45 Bathroom: 4/5 Didn’t use the bathroom Customer Service: 4.25/5 Super nice and friendly and refilled waters Ambiance: 4/5 Bright and clean Food: 4.25/5 A lot better than ok. P decent noodle structure and downed them all in one slurp Wow: 0/1 Normal Chinese restaurant Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
Noodles are excellent! The noodle consistency was chewy but soft and very long. There was slight unevenness which shows they were hand pulled. Pork and mustard greens noodle soup was delicious and big! There’s a lot of noodle there and you could probably share one between two people with a few appetizers. Soup flavor is mild and the pork is very bland with all flavors blended into the broth. Lamb pao mo was not great, but that’s because I don’t like soggy bread in a dish. Basically the dish is cabbage, lamb, chili’s and cubes of soggy bread that’s meant to soak up the flavor. The bread was too soggy and added an odd taste to the dish. Would not recommend. Jellyfish with cucumber was very garlicky and flavorful. Yum! Cold broad noodles with chili oil was delicious as well. The broad noodles soaked up the flavor well and the splash of cucumber and carrots made it very refreshing! Overall great value and even with all the dishes it was only $20 per person (between two). If we hadn’t gotten the lamb dish which was overkill, it probably would’ve been less than $15 a head. Large portions for very reasonable prices.
The noodles are fresh and the broth is flavorful. The beef is not recommended. Lamb tasted good but it's too fatty.
I guess I showed up right before the lunch crowd because I was seated at a table for 4 but by myself. Took a while for them to take my order, then seemed like a long time before it came. With that said, it was good! Ordered the hot and spicy beef stew noodle soup. Plenty of tender beef, good spicy broth, and plenty of noodles. Not sure if thinner noodles are an option if you want, in case some don't like the thicker hand pulled noodles. Will recommend a try if you're a noodle person!

I’ve been to OK Noodle many many times before and almost every time I order N4 Braised Beef Noodle Soup because it’s so good. Sadly over the years I’ve been disappointed each time I go that I think it will no longer be my go to for beef noodle soup. They first started giving less meat, then they must have changed chefs because the flavor of the soup is not what it used to be. I’m so sad!! Will have to look for another go to place now.
The biggest thing that this establishment could do to help their customers/help invite more customers in is if they had pictures of the dishes that they're trying to serve. Is it bad that literally every Chinese place I go to is a comparison to Home Eat?! I'm Chinese and have a hard time reading the menu to understand what I'm getting because sometimes the noodles are also different so I appreciate that Home Eat's menu has pictures and that it's so easy to order. I ended up getting the S1 - Big-Plate Beef Noodles and that's the dish that reminds me so much of my moms cooking aside from the price. My partner got D2 Chili noodles because these two dishes are what we saw everyone else on yelp getting so we had pictures to be able to reference. This was actually my second time here but I didn't remember what I got the first time because I didn't take pictures or review it. The S1 noodles are pretty thick where they're similar to hand pulled noodles but not as bouncy. ~~Parking: It's located in a strip mall like plaza, but there's usually plenty of parking. ~~Service: Good. They take your order, serve your food, and you pay at the front. ~~Return: I wouldn't go out of the way just to come here to eat, but if I'm already in the area and craving noodles I would.
2024 - Food is still good. Not sure if the portions have shrunk or it has always been like this? 2023 - The noodles I had here were better than OK. The seating outside was pleasant and the service was good. Would not hesitate to come back.
Ok noodle food is good, but you will not get a good value out of it. Their regular bowl of noodles is "appetizer" size and left us hungry. The "big" plate is good enough for 1 person (as long as you are not too hungry), but the amount of meat in my lamb dish was very meager. It is tasty, but you get a better bang for your buck at a place like QQ Noodle.

the spicy oil noodle and lamb noodle was flavorless. new location is also very dark, even though sunny day outside with lots of light.
1. They give very little food. Bowl is filled to 1/3 for noodles and for $17 it’s very steep. 2. Beef tastes dry and bad!!! Not fresh at all, and very little food 3. Meats aren’t fresh 4. Noodle doesn’t have the hand pulled texture. Very likely machine made

Got the spicy braised beef noodle soup. Above average portions of meat and lots of noodle. Strong mala aftertaste. As I was finishing up my soup, I tasted and spat out straight up metal wire. Who knows how long and deep it was in the broth. Waiter apologized and received a $1.5 discount. Won't be returning
The food was tasteless. I thought it was going to be another great experience like in the past but they have new owners since 2 years ago and it’s no longer Vietnamese food but Chinese food. Nothing there to look forward to. There were no napkins on our table so we had to grab from a different table. The server didn’t tell us there’s 3 different kinds of noodles so they brought the worst thickest noodles in my soup. They really are “ not ok noodles”. The soup was watered down, they have no black pepper, the chow-mein was a bit burned, and the restroom smells like sewer. Sorry, but it’s an honest experience.
