We stopped in to order Texas bar b que sandwiches at the deli located within the veg market. The sandwiches are large with plenty of meat. We browsed through the vegetables while we were waiting for our order. The prices were amazing compared to my regular grocery store. The vegetables are ripe and ready to eat and they are good quality. There is an assortment of nuts, gift basket, homemade pies and pastries as well as salads in the deli. As you can see from the receipt we purchased 2 large sandwiches and several veggies as well as kiwi And we didn’t spend a fortune! It’s worth it to us to drive out of our nearby town to purchase fruit and veggies here!
The Fruit Yard offers a dining experience that feels refreshingly different from the usual restaurant visit. There’s a relaxed, countryside charm here that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. What stood out most was how the setting complements the food. The atmosphere feels open and inviting, creating a pleasant escape from the typical busy dining spots. It’s a place where the environment becomes part of the experience. The menu reflects a thoughtful approach to flavor — simple, fresh, and satisfying without trying too hard. Each dish felt balanced and well-prepared, making the meal enjoyable from start to finish. Service was attentive yet easygoing, allowing the experience to feel natural and unhurried. Overall, The Fruit Yard is more than just a meal — it’s a comfortable and enjoyable outing that I’d happily return to.
We had a wonderful time there. Great place to throw a gathering/ party. The workers were amazing.
We had a nice lunch and I must say the customer Service is very nice, That food is fresh and hot and cooked very well. Salad bar is freshly stocked. Fruit is fresh. Atmosphere is very pleasant and we enjoyed the lunch special. We appreciate you very much.
WE GO TO THE DELI, ORDER A WHOLE TRI -TIP, A PACKAGE OF ROLLS, AND BBQ SAUCE, HONEMADE BY THE WAY, YUM. AND GET A COUPLE FRESH TOMATOES FROM THE STAND AND A SLICE OR TWO OF PIE FROM THE BAKERY. THEY ARE ALL REALLY NICE, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, THIS IS OUR PLACE FOR NIGHTS OUT, BUT WE TAKE IT HOME AND ENJOY EACH OTHERS COMPANY. ALSO GET A LOOK AT CHICKENS AND DUCKS RUNNING AROUND THE PARKING LOT. SO ADORABLE. WILL ALWAYS CONE BACK TO THIS PKACE.
When will the better kept secrets for folks new to the area. Service is very classic old school and friendly. The salad bar is one of the better deals you can get including their seafood days and special holiday meals. Very good parking excellent pies to take home and an overall fun atmosphere.
not too crowded or noisy for a late lunch. good selection of tasty food with an excellent salad bar. the service was good, there is plenty of parking and it's wheelchair accessible. the prices are reasonable, the building and grounds are well maintained with several resident ducks dotting the lawns and floating on a small water feature. a few colorful chickens also roam the grounds. it's a delightful place.
I took my family here for outing. We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was amazing, staff so friendly and the ambience was warm and welcoming. Prior to coming to dinner, I came to their Sunday breakfast buffet and it was the bomb. Food is homestyle delicious. Had to post their desserts since that's always my favorite part of the meal.
My husband and/or sister come to the Fruit Yard restaurant often, so thought I’d post about a few of our favorite menu items. If you go on Mondays, you can’t go wrong with their Homemade Corned Beef and Cabbage… the spices are perfect and so are the portions. Wednesdays they have their prime rib on special… very tasty. And every day of the week, (if you’re a person of a certain age😉), you can order off their Senior menu… I find the portions to be just right, and you can’t beat the price ($12-15 for most items). Add a trip to their Salad Bar (which in my opinion is the best around) to any entree for $6… and you’ve got a spectacular meal, without breaking the bank.
The first time I have been here in 10 years. The food was just as amazing as I remember. I decided to get breakfast and I was pleased with what I ordered. I had the Western Omelette with country potatoes. Very tasty! I ordered a biscuit with gravy and I really enjoyed it. For my beverages I had a large orange juice, black coffee, and ice water.
This place went so far above my expectations. We first went through the store and purchased some different meat sticks (pictured) and some dried kiwi and dried pineapple both of which are absolutely delectable. We also bought some chocolate covered raisins, cherry honey almonds, and apple cinnamon almonds. TO DIE FOR. But wait; then we discovered their pie section and surely couldn't leave without a Dutch apple pie which tastes like the Lord of pies himself baked! Now with our nice haul of goodies secure in the car we thought "hmm, those ribs sure sound and smelled good in there, maybe we should get that for dinner..." So now we're going back in. We got the pork ribs family meal which came with the most delicious beans I've honestly ever had, as well as potato salad and obviously a pile of ribs fit for a giant (with BBQ sauce on the side) and let me just say that was hands down one of the best meals I've had in years. And it comes with large quantities of ribs and sides and it only cost like $43. Amazing. We have serious leftovers for tomorrow. You have to come here and try their ribs and misc. flavored nuts and fruits. 11/10.

The restaurant is excellent. The food, service, and atmosphere are top tier. I've been a few times and will definitely go again. The store is charming but a bit pricey. It's 90% organic, so that's expected. Love shopping there as a novelty at best. Supporting local farmers and businesses is essential to me. The amphitheater is an excellent venue to see some good shows. A little something for everyone. The lawn is the best seating out of all other amphitheaters I've been to. The only issue was that a security guy pulled down a handicap barrier, and that opened up a path where people kept walking through and over us, even spilling drinks and tripping over us as they became more inebriated. I moved over as much as possible to no avail. One guy even got a bit mouthy with me over his dilemma of me being in his way, lol. Other passers-by would stand in the walkway in front of us to get a better view till the people around us spoke to the security guard attending the area. I'll go again but perhaps sit against the back wall.
Had a delicious brunch. Great service. Wish they had more of a variety to match what they charged. Dungeons crab was good but if you don't eat crab then you just paid $45 for something you could have gotten for way less in their restaurant. They had someone who made eggs the way you want, that was nice. I only gave 4 stars because there were flies all over and the salad and desert are were not covered.

Went here for lunch. We were greeted by a flock of roosters in the parking lot. Restaurant has a nice rustic look and we were seated right away. Appetizer sampler was a good start to the meal. We also had shrimp cocktail which was fresh and delicious. I had a trip tip sandwich and added a cup of gnocchi soup. Soup flavor was good but the consistency was too thick. Almost like runny mashed potatoes. All I could taste in the tritip was the BBQ sauce. Could've really taste the beef. The bread it was on was tasty and buttery, though. Finally, the service was very friendly and courteous, but slow. I finished my ice tea and they didn't come by and refill it until we were almost done with our meal. I'd go back though. The burgers looked good and so do the fries.
Food is good. Location is just so far out in the country, it could be very inconvenient for customers that try saving money on gasoline for their car. If they drive an EV, though, it could be more …
It's honestly super dirty. The staff are all really nice, though. The hotdog roller is completely open to the air and flys and other things can touch them as much as they want. Also why do they have old Brenden cups and the kiwis all look like they're covered in dead knats, plus the other produce looks old. They're also very expensive for being so gross.
We go here many Wednesdays for the prime rib. It is the best flavor I have had anywhere. However the last 3 times we have been there the slices are getting thinner and contain considerable amount of fat.

I’ve taken my family to the front yard over the last 15 years and it’s always been pretty good upscale diner food. We haven’t been there for several years and decided to try it for their special Valentine’s Day menu. Our server was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. We got the combo appetizer and everything was overcooked. They had cooked the cheese out of the cheese sticks, literally. We got the salad bar which it wasn’t bad. I had a decent selection and everything looked fresh. When our dinner entrées arrived, they tasted average wasn’t bad wasn’t good. My wife ordered their chicken sandwich and after two bites she holds up what looks like the plastic thing that holds price tags on clothes and department stores. She said this was in my sandwich and I just bit down on it. I told her stop eating and will tell the waiter. The waiter was extremely frustrated that that happened to us in immediately jumped into action and went back to talk to the kitchen and to management. The manager came out and was not very apologetic with his approach and instead was questioning what she found, and where she found it when she explained that she bit down on this plastic tag thing he admitted that they get their broccolini in bags that have these tags on them so he flat out admitted where that piece of plastic could come from? Confirm that it was from them from one of their products and their kitchen that ended up in our food. I’m not the type of person to ask for free stuff, but usually in scenarios like this that meal would have been comped. Instead, he said sorry about that. You know what I can give you guys a free dessert though… One free dessert for a family of three, which for that night was a slice of cake. This will be our last time ever go into this restaurant because of this experience. That Manager should be ashamed of himself if that restaurant can’t afford to come out a $20 plate when they just got done telling me how busy they were the last three days that’s a problem. I’m writing this, hoping that the owners will see this and retrain their staff. I still tipped the waiter because it wasn’t his fault. I’m also writing this for people that are thinking about becoming a waiter if the kitchen is constantly messing up the food that you’re serving and your guests are upset and get comped it’s gonna get taken out on your tip.
So out in California to see friends an we decided to the yard for lunch. Seen they had pastrami sandwiches with fries for 18.00 ( menu said piled HIGH! ) Sandwiches come out dry i didn't want mayonnaise I'm a mustard guy. Pull the bread off an see 6 slices of pastrami on this 18.00 sandwich. That i had to use plain yellow mustard. Yawn. Joe this was a total ripoff and ya need to get in the kitchen an fix this.
