Our food was so good!! Maybe we were just really hungry lol. We got BBQ chicken salad, turkey bacon bravo, cream of chicken and wild rice soup, chili and Mac n cheese.
On my way to Lake George on a business trip. Stopped here and got the mediterranean salad. When I felt my throat start to swell (most likely from the quinoa—seriously, who’s allergic to that 🤦🏻♂️), I explained my reaction to Heath up front and asked for something else (and less carb-heavy, cause I’m on medical keto). They replaced it in less than 5 mins, and it was delicious! Super grateful for the people working here. Will have to drop by again if I’m in the area.
I have been to this Panera twice now when I’m in the area and both times I’ve received exceptional and happy service. The people that work here seem like they really enjoy their jobs. I will always stop here when I have time to do so in this area!
Great sandwiches and soups. Love the bear claws, they are my favorite. The juices are awesome also. Nice to eat outside and they have curbside pick up.
My mother and I had trouble with an order that we placed. A manager by the name of Danielle was so helpful and patient in making sure we were satisfied. Great customer service.
Great food. Their 10 vegetable soup is better than my homemade soup. I love the occasional lemon slice you come across in the soup. A nice tart change.
Panera bread. Overall, very happy with service and food. Tables, chairs and floors need a good-old fashioned cleaning! Manager was receptive to our suggestion and stated that this location is very busy. OK
Jefferson was incredibly helpful and the food was delicious! Restaurant is very clean and well kept.
my husband and I were at Panera in Cortlandt Manor on New years day, and there is an employee there that goes above and beyond. I hope he receives the recognition he deserves.. I am not sure of his name but he is a young man with a ton of tattoos on his arms...I have seen him there many times and every time he is very delightful and truly is a value to this location. :)
Wrong order, twice, forgot my daughters meal entirely, then came with an extra meal we didn't even order, nice but not worth the price for the mini meals, if I didn't get the extra meal I would have probably been pretty upset and caused mayhem.
Great food, great service; very friendly staff
The food is always very good and the service is as well. This store is a really good operation and is always clean. The food comes out as requested, even when a substitution on a menu item is requested. We come here often and get items to go when we want a good, nutritious and flavorful meal.
I use my unlimited sip club here all the time. The manager John and his entire team are great. I have seen them run busy and not miss a beat. Recommend this location to anyone. Martín R
Just had lunch at Panera in Cortlandt Manor. Great food and exceptional customer service!
This review is for a young man that is an employee at Panera bread in Mohegan Lake, Hugh Charleston. He not only greeted every person that walked in but he also continuously asked if anyone needed anything all the whole time working on delivering food to the table, carrying piles of dishes and cleaning the restaurant. I found his positive attitude and polite demeanor put a smile on everyone’s face!
Stopped in for a bite and fell in love with an orange scone! Also loved the cold hibiscus tea. This location was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Excellent. The pizza and the turkey sandwich is amazing and a great idea. The salads are fantastic and I highly reccomend them. The chocolate crossants are the very best ever, in PANERA BREAD ***. Very Healthy food. Customer Service is great. There is no long waits for food orders. Parking is fantastic. There is some outdoor seating. Also the Mohegan Lake Cordlandt Panera is excellent also. 👍😃
This location seems a little smaller; though that's just an opinion. The staff is friendly, food made fresh as always. Neat and clean. Love the Fuji apple salad and French onion soup.
10/27/25 Whenever Amanda, the manager is here, Panera looks like a homeless shelter, filthy, dishes and garbage all over, etc. John Cabrera & Pablo always keep the place clean and attentive to detail. Let’s not have a great place close, because one manager doesn’t know how to run a business.
The employees actually remember your name and who you are, that's really big. I feel like family when I go there. Very clean n good parking, nice people. 👍
The manager Renee was great. Courteous, helpful, quick, and a pleasure to deal with. We had never been to Panera before, but thanks to Renee we’ll go back again. She gets five stars.
Their chili is awesome I don’t like spicy stuff but with the bread it’s perfect and under $10. Manager there, older guy with black hair was awesome. Packed house he kept it all in order. Second time ever going to Panera and this was a million times better than the first at a diff location
Always good food & the staff is so friendly.
Always a pleasure visiting this Panera. John and the other staff are warm, friendly, and show a genuine interest in their customers. Looking forward to coming back!
Gotta say, they really have stepped it up a notch from past years. Our service was outstanding. John took our order and was very patient when bombarded with question upon question about the BOGO coupon, what it applies to etc. He even did a little arithmetic to find out the best bang for our buck with that BOGO. It’s customer service like this that you can’t get from those annoying antisocial kiosks. I hope you’re listening Panera…will definitely keep coming back. By the way, these new sandwiches are on point.
Terrific quick lunch spot. Fast and friendly service. Manager John is great and Nelson goes above and beyond to serve its customers.
The sandwiches and salads were delicious, as was the bread of course.
Angie was the best! Super sweet and helpful!
This location at Mohegan lake it is very clean . But most importantly the customer service is the best! The entire staff is warm, friendly and caring, from the cashier at the front, to the cook who makes your sandwich and the hostess at the table they all do a fantastically awesome job! I stopped by on 1-30-2020 from around say between the hours of 11am -1pm and I was there a little dinning in a bit longer today and I observed how awesome they do their job. Thank you guys for all you do, an awesome job! A happy customer!
A very nice place, they served us very well. I highly recommend this place to have a coffee and chat. It has a family atmosphere that I loved.
Lovely place. Excellent staff. I wish they would sell just one loaf of white bread instead of the double. For 2 people, I don't need the double loaf but they won't sell it!!! That's just the one problem I have with them 😔.
There are at least 2 friendly cashier's I enjoy seeing there. I frequent here with my young daughter & am happy with the service! Big shout out to Hugh, one of the servers who goes above a beyond to give exceptional service to guests! He is very friendly & courteous!
Excellent food at great price with very friendly service. One of the few places where the employees seem to like their jobs. Everything I try there is good. I've been going frequently for over a year now.
The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The food is usually good and you can sit there for quite a long time and chat with your friends. That's what I like most!!
I was just there this evening and the staff was so kind, helpful and easy going when I made a mistake ordering online. the cooks and the front staff work hard and are very nice.
This particular Panera location is truly awesome! Stumbled across it randomly and was blown away by the atmosphere and service. Obviously an important part of the local community. Really special feel!
It seems that every time I visit this location in Mohegan lake the person who's supposed to be taking orders is off wondering around. I finally get to order only to have to go back to the pickup counter to ask the person who prepared my order to give me the portion of soup I ordered. His response was i noticed that when I prepared it. Well if you knew that why aren't you giving me the correct portion I paid for.
This Panera is the BEST Panera! I have visited many Paneras in multiple states and Mohegan Lake far exceeds my expectations...excellent food, excellent customer service and always clean and welcoming. They make you feel like family!
At this point I need to leave a review because this Panera has become my second office with how often I work remotely here. The manager is incredible, the workers seem to really get along and enjoy it, and I always feel welcome. You can tell they hold a high standard here—the food is consistently great and the bathroom is always spotless.
Been coming here for years. It's out family's go to spot. The food quality is amazing. Feed good giving it to my kids too. Healthy and taste good. People that work there are friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Pablo comes over personally and said hello when he sees us. Probably one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back. Marcel behind the counter is also supper friendly and knowledgeable. The place is also keep clean and sometimes I will bring my lap top and just sit and work while having lunch. Highly recommend
The manager Pablo and staff at the Mohegan Lake location are so helpful and deliver service with a smile (even over the phone). I ordered breakfast online to be delivered to a colleague who just had a baby. On behalf of our company, I sent breakfast sandwiches, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice and these super cute tulip cookies! I called after placing the order online to update the delivery contact name and not only did Pablo happily do this, he also added a gift note that they taped to the bag + a note to the delivery person to be quiet because of the new baby. Such excellent customer service! Panera is always a great choice for sending gifts to new parents. We also send breakfast to teammates who lose a loved one. I don't know anyone who doesn't love a Panera bagel. And their OJ is fresh and delicious. Thank you, Mohegan Lake Panera team!
First time for fresh Panera Bread Breakfast! Store is clean, welcoming and very well Managed. General Manager, John, gave us the most remarkable service, ever! We wish this store was in our hometown! Thank you, John, for having such a passion for doing your job so well and aiming to please all of your customers! Sincerely, the Crazies from Maine!
Breakfast at Panera’s Best place to have breakfast with various options. The avocado and mozzarella sandwich and the walnut salad were the best. Having soup along with this is wholesome. Their coffee and the cinnamon bun were just the cherries on the top. A nice and cozy place to have a fulfilling breakfast.
This Panera Bread is a trendy hang spot for many. Young old, it has a good vibe. Management and staff are all professional and courteous.
The food is great and it comes our quick. The bread is amazing. However, every single time I order a smoothie, they forget it. I always have to remind the staff multiple times.
Used the app to try to get my order. Not easy. Ended up giving them phone number and read the order off my screen. Food consistent. Better fast food than neighbors.
This Panera Bread is spacious and tidy, plus the staff is super friendly. There's plenty of seating and parking available as well.
Very good service, workers were kind and the it had a nice and chill vibe to relax and have a chat with friends while having a cup of Joe while having snack, all an all great experience, would go again.
I get dragged here a lot by my fiancé since she loves Panera Bread. I'll admit they have started to grow on me even if I don't believe you're getting the most value for your dollar. The food is good and I fully support the healthier options available.
Their 10-vegetable soup is fresh, delicious, and in a class by itself. It's a family style dining area, and you get a number when placing your order. The staff brings the food to your table. Their sandwiches are similar to deli sandwiches except that Panera uses real meat instead of slicing off a tasteless processed roll.
Love the food here and everyone is friendly. The atmosphere is a nice spot to take a breath from shopping. My only issue is that it seems to take them so long every time to get out my food to me.
Sha! He was so sweet your hard work didn’t go unnoticed at all. Running food, cleaning, taking orders, approaching tables to make sure they were okay or if they needed anything at appropriate timing. I’d give 5 stars because this is the first time going where it was clean, food was still warm, people were actually nice! Besides the girl making the food. She turned that 5 stars to a 4. But Sha thank you and I hope Panera appreciates you and treats you respectfully as you do to their customers!
It seems like Panera changed their portion size. I used to always have too much food- this time it was not enough. the broccoli cheese soup seemed like it used to have more broccoli before.
Love the sandwiches and soups. Staff is always accommodating. Place is always clean. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it is a little on the expensive side. But it doesn't keep me from running in once in a while and splurging on a chicken and wild rice soup in a bread bowl with a side of salad. Delicious!!!
It's amazing you try to go to have a somewhat decent or what I would consider better healthier choice of fast food and you spend nearly triple what you would have if you had gone to even a deli nowadays. For two soup and a sandwich the cost was over $40 after adding drinks it was 48 and change I understand that the price of doing business is going up but there's absolutely no reason for a soup and a sandwich to be $25 Jersey Mike's is an expensive place but at least you would have received a larger amount of food so they could justify the price to a certain extent. It's just so sad that where is the consumer a foolish enough to pay these exuberant prices and as I know from experience as a business owner myself the cost of doing business has gone up drastically but not enough to justify the DraStic increase
Service was great, polite, helpful and patient. Sandwich was Chipotle avocado chicken. It was made well, tasted good I just was unsure of the shredded chicken. May prefer solid piece. It was a hearty sandwich this time. In the past they can be skimpy not worth the price. Will return.
Service is slow food was good. If some one from Panera is reading this please give your staff hair net. And please don't use your phone while you are making our food.
Good fast food, service speed varies during the day. Lots of different area to pick from to eat and there are usually tables available. Breakfast is unimpressive. My husband laughs that their breakfast sandwiches are so tiny, but I think the rest of their menu is adequate.
It's OK. Better than a regular fast food chain, but barely. By the time you get the total for your order, you might as well have gone to a dinner or restaurant. I don't come here often.
Every single time I come here I wait 25 minutes for a take out order. Always a line, no sense of urgency at all from anyone. Almost a half hr to put soup in a container!!! Inexcusable. Have to admit the food is good but the service is horrible. Now I remember why I hadn't gone in months...
Horrible time getting my order taken correctly. It took 2 purchases. One item was not given to us. Another was the wrong size. Spent $34 for 2 lunches and one was only 1/2 of a sandwich and a cup of soup. Not going back again. Had to speak to a couple of people to get it right.
The gentleman making my order initially prepared it for there when I requested it to go. Then he give me the wrong order. Then when he gave me my correct order he slammed the bag on the counter. Poor customer service. High prices. Not worth the hassle coming here .
The food was very good. The line was very long. The waiter walked around in circles a few time looking for the number on my table. I would return keeping in mind the clock should not be an issue. It is an upscale Deli of sorts the choices of food is are interesting in comparison to what's available locally.
Recently I went to the Panera Bread in Mohegan Lake to pick up some dinner to go. My Wife seems to like their food so I thought I would surprise her arriving home with food from Panera. I have never really been a Fan of this restaurant, thinking the food is meager portions and overpriced. I purchased two full BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, when we sat down for dinner ready to enjoy, it was the usual disappointment. I understand the name of the establishment is Panera Bread, but when I order and pay $12.00 + for a sandwich I expect a good size portion of Chicken. When the sandwich is 80% bread and 20 % meat, it makes me feel like I was scammed. I have never left Panaras feeling like it was a tasty meal or a good value. I have no idea how they are still in business?
First time visiting here because the Subway next door did not have soup. The location is nice and clean and much more spacious than it seemed from the outside. Two bowls of soup and a small mac and cheese came up to about $30. I asked for an apple as a side but they gave use bread instead. The broccoli cheddar soup was very good. The baguettes were cold, they could have at least heated it before bringing it to the table. The french onion soup was quite disappointing! It was watery and tasted mostly of Worcestershire sauce. Probably won’t be going back. I wish there was an Au Bon Pain around here!
All I wanted was a cinnamon toast bagel with the little sample size to go cup of maple walnut cream cheese. The guy behind the register tried to charge me almost $4 for the bagel and another $1.60 for the tiny little cup of cream cheese. There was no way I was paying almost $6 for a bagel and cream cheese. Most places the cream cheese is just included, right? Anyway I told my wife about this and she went on the app and got me the exact same things for like $3.70. I was still charged $1.60 for the cream cheese, which is ridiculous of course, but at least I got the bagel for a reasonable price this way. Should it have really been that complicated Panera? FOLLOW UP: so today I ordered the Sausage egg and cheese on ciabatta for $6.29. This thing was no better than I could get virtually anywhere else for less money and it was TINY! And barely any cheese. I could make this myself art home for 50 cents. I was expecting way more. See the pics!
We are fans of Panera brand, but was disappointed when I took my grand kids for lunch. To start with you do not enough variety in your menu for kids. Then you have stopped Baked chips, which are healthier that the fried variety. To top it, I could not buy Cookie at 99 cents, because I didn't order soda. We wanted one sugary product, not both. Not again there with grand kids!
Place order 6/1/2020 online for $5 off (didn't get) for curbside pickup. (1) Website kept sending me to rapid pickup (2) ordered Fam Feast w/soup. Soup & salad was good. (3) Sandwiches were very skimpy more bread than filling. I pc cheese on grilled cheese & no avocado on the chipotle chicken, bacon Turkey skimpy. (3) In the past ordered catering which was good. Very dissatisfied. Won't be back anytime soon.
Just picked up my food for the third time this time they told me to go to the cashier register to pick it up but the last time I went to the Kia and the time before that I went to the cashier register like make up your mind the manager was extremely rude when I so they sent me three different last time I would never order from this one again
Service and food was not very impressive at dinner time on a Friday. Workers seemed overworked, tired, and not stoked. It showed in the food. At least they have some vegan and vegetarian options but I won’t be back.
Food is great but restaurant is FILTHY. I've eaten here 5 times now over three months and not once has the restaurant been clean. Tables coveted in dried on crusty food spills. Every table. Not one clean one. Even when there are no customers. I don't get it. If they leave the front of house looking like this what on earth does their kitchen look like? Gross.
If there was a competition to see which restaurant could make the most mistakes when filling to-go orders, this Panera would be a major contender for a gold medal. Order today had the wrong soup, and when I called the manager promptly refunded the cost of the soup I ordered. As soon as I hang up, I open my bowl order to discover several ingredients were missing, including the chicken. This kind of thing happens fairly consistently here. I would order from another Panera, but often do not have the time for the longer drive.
I usually love going to Panera, however, the service is lack luster at this location. I find it very sad when you’re the only customer waiting at a register and you have three employees gathered chitchatting while you’re waiting to order. Another employee just walked by without even acknowledging me standing there. If I hadn’t submitted a pre-order for my bagels I would’ve walked out. Finally I stopped another employee and got my order only to find it was wrong! Wow, just wow.....
Understaffed. I met a client there, and the wait to get food was about 30 minutes, so I could not get anything before my appointment. I wanted to get a drink afterward, but the cashier was so slow, I left. I tried twice to pay for something, and couldn't.
They have me mad. They’ve eliminated the buzzers which warn you when you’re food is ready to pick up. When I asked the owner why he blamed it on the stupidity of the customers. Suggestion never blame the customers so now I have to hear the servers whisper, my name where they put the ready food out when I’m way in the front of the store they won’t even say my name loudly enough so that I can hear it.
We were very disappointed. Though the young lady who took our order was extremely pleasant, it went downhill after that for a few reasons. First of all, the bathrooms were not clean. This is unacceptable, Covid or no Covid. No one was seen actively disinfecting the tables as seen in other Panera's, Then, my husband's Baja Chicken Bowl's portion was very small, not even filling the bowl halfway. When my husband went up to ask, he was told that was the norm. We frequent many, many Panera locations and this is NOT the norm. To boot, if he got the chicken he ordered, it was nowhere to be found.
First time going to this particular one. The employees who take your order were polite and helpful. The kitchen staff not so much. Waited 35min for my food. People who ordered after me got their food before me. After asking 3 times for my order it magically was next and got it. No apology. Just dropped my bag on the counter and said here. It wasnt busy. Maybe 4 people sitting down and 3 people besides me waiting for to go orders. The place was clean and the food was good. I will give another try and update the review but for now 2 stars is being kind
The employees were extremely friendly and very helpful. The store was clean and not crowded. We ordered 2 salads that had big chunks of the romaine lettuce ends in both.
Panera has lost its way. I have been a loyal customer for years and it was a great fast casual lunch time go-to restaurant. I used this location regularly but wouldn't hesitate to use a Panera when ever I saw one on my travels. It seems that over the past few years the quality has declined markedly. The menu is different with less quality ingredients, and smaller portions. The ambience has changed. No longer are there runners to bring your food - you have to huddle around the kitchen for self pick up. You clear your own table. The staff attitude has also changed. They aren't really people who care about food. It also seems dirtier. The bread isn't even made on site any more -- it's delivered pre-cooked. All this means that the product doesn't reflect the premium price. Panera was never the cheapest, but it did offer value for money. Not now. So, Its no longer my preferred choice. If they don't change, I expect we'll start to see closing and eventually it will be, "Remember when we used to go to Panera? Wonder what happened to them?"
If you have to wait longer than expected for food, wouldn't you at least check that it was right? No avocado on my wife's Turkey Avacado is a problem. My bbq chicken panani and turkey chili wasn't bad. It just wasn't very filling. Not a place we frequently go to and after this, not sure we'll go again.
Normally the experience is a good one, But today (morning) customer service was at it’s worst and the place only had 2 customers at the time. The cashier needs more training in customer service.
All Panera Bread Restaurants suck! Their service is slow from ordering to preparing and despite their claim that "accuracy matters" apparently it doesn't because (no exaggeration) 90% of the times I order from there, they hand me a bag with an incomplete or wrong order! If I could give less than 1 star I would!!! Absolutely horrible almost every time!
Edit 2025: Went today, turkey chili off menu, now some pseudo ground beef concoction. Bread is no longer fresh dough, fresh baked, more like a generic French bread from super market, no crust, crumb or taste. Utter trash, stay away
Waited 15 minutes in line to place an order that we had to wait an additional 25 minutes to be served. 40 total minutes to wait for a crappy overpriced turkey BLT half sandwich with one half slice of bacon and room temperature watered-down chicken noodle soup. Half of the chicken in the soup was gnarly, consisting of fat and connective tissue. Oh, and the food prep area behind the counter is nasty! Gross! What has become of Panera? No more.
Horable service!!! I ordered thai chiken salad with no edamame with avocado for pick up. I got home and no avocado and bunch of edamame in my salad!!! The place is hot , disorganized mess!!! Wont be ordering for long while!!@
Terrible attitudes, not one smile amongst the workers. And although they couldn't help this, some guy 2 ppl behind me interrupted me mid-order to grill the dead-eyed cashier about his To Go order. Just ugh 😵
I ordered with the kiosk rather than ordering at the counter. When I got my food, I'm told to go to the counter registers for pastry and drink. Why not just give it to me there? I ordered at the kiosk, so now I need to either interrupt a cashier helping someone or go wait on line.. after I ordered.. just to get my drink that I already bought. Immediately after I ate, I had stomach issues. I won't go into detail.
I love this chain, but this location is always way too crowded and ridiculously slow. The employees are lethargic and uncaring. The food took 40 minutes last time. Multiple times I've gotten the wrong order. It's a shame because it's a great shopping center for this type of food, but rarely worth the frustration.
Terrible service, randomly cancel your order while you're waiting for your food. Took about 45 minutes to get an incredibly simple and easy sandwich with a consolation of a $.50 bag of chips
I ordered the deli turkey sandwich for pick up. The sandwich order was supposed to include an apple, baguette, and chips. When I picked up the order, I had the baguette, but no apple and chips. Also the sandwich had bacon on it. Bacon is a paid add-on for this sandwich. I don't eat bacon nor did I add bacon to the order. And when I asked for my chips and apple, the store manager questioned me as if I was asking for something that didn't come with the sandwich. Sandwich was good but customer services and order accuracy was not.
Paid almost $40 and shoulda just got a kids meal because that was the only part of my order that was decently made. The Chicken salad sandwich had barely any chicken salad it was made very sloppy and my toasted Italiano was also thrown together no lettuce, no tomatoes for the price you pay the employees should focus more on making the orders right and less on joking and talking. Will not be wasting my money there again.
Signed off that the order was complete, minimal lettuce in salad, one sandwich missing, one sandwich made incorrectly… what are we DOING???
Omg, we go here like once per month maybe, my kids likes to eat here so we take them. Seriously you basically eating bread, my tuna sandwiches had no tuna. When we go at panera we only eat tuna, salad sandwiches, broccoli cheddar soup, mac and cheese and sometimes cheese sandwiche. This place is not cheap and service is terrible. I ask to speak to management, a tall chap comes out and said what's the issue, I explained, he said you should be talking to me and not the employees. Before I can talk to you mad man I have to ask the your worker to speak to you. I ask him his name he said dont worry about my name. What an unprofessional manager. I told him his service was horrible and the food is horrible. He called me horrible. I paid almost $60.00 for basically bare bread. Earlier the employee said to another employee it sounds about right no tuna inside the sandwiches. Another said I saw her sandwiches nothing inside. The soup was OK. Just ok. Don't waste your money and eat here, its not good, you might as well put $40 more and go eat at a nice restaurant. Horrible service. Poor service. I dont recommend and I will never go back.
