La Costa is one of the best places in town to get quality Mexican food. I have tried a lot off of their menu and have never been disappointed. Through the years I’ve been coming here I would have to say my favorites are probably the Pastor Tacos, Wet Burrito, and their Tortas. They have a pretty good drink selection too, and their horchata is very good compared to a lot of other places. Overall La Costa has been one of my favorite places to eat for years now, and if you haven’t tried it yet, do it!

There are so many different choices to make everyday. The abundance of options can be overwhelming. In order to not feel so overwhelmed, I tend to do the same things that worked for me in the past. Sometimes I'll even do things that didn't work for me, but I still do it because at least it's predictable. For example, I go to Taco Bell fairly often. I don't go there because it's good for me, I go because I know what to expect every time I'm there. It's going to be delicious, fast, and cheap food with a hint of guilt. Today was different. I wanted something that wasn't predictable, which I guess is still pretty predictable because I tend to do at least one un-predictable thing a week. Anyways, for my predictable, unpredictable day I decided to go to La Costa. I noticed they are trying to solve the "abundance of options" problem by only letting people pay with cash. In theory I like the idea, but I still would have preferred to pay with a credit card. Anyways, their burrito was good and a nice change up to my routine.

Awesome food at fair prices! I got three tacos al pastor, a cheese quesadilla, and ceviche. Only bummer is the cash-only, but it's worth keeping some extra charge in your car for this place.

Love this place! It is really a go-to for Mexican food in town, because you can't beat it. There is no other place that offers relatively authentic Mexican at fair prices, and you receive the food quickly! And its central location makes it a no-brainer. Staff could be a little friendlier, and they have to work out the problem with their card machine, but the food outweighs it.

You come at the king, you best not miss. Best Mexican in town by far, any of the seafood burritos are super good. There’s a decent amount on the menu that probably rarely gets ordered but if you stick with the basics you will be happy.

We always have a good time at la Costa. It's not too expensive and the food is great. Theres outdoor seating that has an awning so it's covered from rain or bird poop. There's a few plants outside and they play some nice music too. It's very easy to order and the people there speak English too, so if you want to order food but don't know Spanish it's okay.

Love this place. One time I bought 5 tacos here ( I was full at 3), but I kept eating them because they were so good. I there up from being so full, but then I went back to buy 2 more. Hahaha. Delicious.

La Costa is an established small chain restaurant that specializes in Mariscos. I highly recommend getting the tacos pescados, its a beer battered good sized piece of fish with the cabbage slaw and special sauce on top. They also serve the normal Taqueria menu of tacos burritos and Tortas and also have plates on the menu. The San Jose locations are cash only and the Morgan Hill location has a card machine operating most of the time (there's been times i visit and its down). Its a little pricey but to support a local business that doesn't disappoint on the food they serve is ok with me. I usually get $40 cash out for my wife and I to have a meal together here to play it safe.

I've only had the tacos but they were amazing. The camaron and fish tacos were both killer as was the carne asada y carnitas. Red salsa is nice n smokey with a good bite. Gonna have to try a burrito next time....

Fast, yummy, and friendly. It's our go-to for Mexican fare. And if the weather is nice we enjoy eating at the outside tables... Indoor tables are available as well.

While I will miss the burger place that used to be here, La Costa is more than an acceptable replacement. I liked the one over near ESSJ, but this new location has a bigger menu and indoor seating! Being muy blanco, I can't tell you how authentic it may or may not be, but its delicious either way! And the price is damn good too!

My husband just loves there food, there carnitas is great and believe me, I am very picky on my carnitas, theirs is actually soft and juicy not all dried out, but if you love some spice in your life, go order the carne asada, it will burn coming out for sure

It is small, but the food is delicious! I think it is very authentic Mexican food. The service is great, it is super fast, and they have a pretty wide variety of things to choose from on thier menu.

9-24-2017 was my first time eating at this place. Fast service fresh and great food. Clean and comfortable will not be my last time. I will be coming from Merced CA to eat at this place again. Awesome first time experience I loved it.

I love this place. An excellent taqueria that serves fresh, affordable, seafood with a Mexican flair. My favorite is the Campechana, bursting with flavor and loaded with shrimp, crab, and octopus. The perfect dish on hot summer days or nights.

I eat here about 2-3 times a month and this time i ordered a burrito de carnitas and opted for it mojado (wet- your order with enchelada type sauce poured over it) and a can of coke at just about $10.00. This La Costa didnt have fountain sodas so no refills but the burrito was consistantly delicious prepared to order and made with good quality carnitas (this is important and reflects the ownership has a credible source for ingredients). I cleaned the plate (which is paper plate and flimsy plastic utensils) which is rare for me being that i get easiky grossed out when i come accrossed anything unexpected in my meal. If you are real hungry, got $10, appreciate good mexican food and like to eat outside then dont pass up la costa!

Ordered the al pastor torta for $7. It was a good sized sandwich for the value. The large shrimp cocktail looked good for $17. It came with crackers and tostadas on side. The nachos were also a good portion for $10. Overall, the food was good and they had outdoor seating. Ordered a small orchata and it was delicious! Will come back and try something new next time.

Why ok? Because they sell tacos, cash only here. Don't ask for onion and cilantro, they overdo it, your tacos will only taste bitter, unless you like an "onion taco". Meat is ok, not the best but it does fill you. Tacos are $2.50 each, generous servings though.

Food was a bit on the salty side. Pico and guac were fresh and tasty though. Unfortunately, I got sick afterwards; so it kinda left a bad memory.

This place used to be my favorite taqeria. Portions were great and the salsa was delicious! The quality seems to have fallen and so has the portions over the course of this past year. It's not horrible food, but it definitely used to be better. Hope they can bring back the great quality they had in the past. Burritos are now smaller and a lot less meat.

Closing early.. Food has no flavor at all. The only thing postive about here if the service and they have inside seating which is the reason for 2 stars.

Had tacos de Al Pastor, Carnitas and Asada. The service was quick. Tacos were out in only a few mins after ordering. My wife and I were disappointed in the lack of flavor of these Tacos. For some reason the carnitas tacos were wet and messy. The Al Pastor tacos had no flavor whatsoever. The Asada were drenched in salsa. To top it off they weren’t hot more like like warm and they skimped out on the cilantro and cebolla. The Horchata was watered down so much you can barely tell it was horchata The agua de Piña was delicious. Hope they improve on the food a lot.

I was disappointed, discussed🤢 at this place, The cashiers did NOT wash or clean his hans and wen and got lettuce, and cilantro whit his dirty hand, yest before tuching cash money 🤮. And ther were like 3 people in the kitchen and no one told hem anything

CASH ONLY. Called in a pickup order and drive 15 mins to find out they only take cash. How about you tell people that on the phone when they place a pickup order. I’m not driving to a f’ing ATM to pay a fee while my food gets cold. Hope one of your cooks or something gets to eat my burrito you guys made and that I’m not getting

They don't understand the concept of vegetarian/vegan. I ordered a wet vegetarian burrito and they doused it with the grenn chile verde sauce with chunks of pork. So gross, it stunk and ruined my meal. Had to throw it out as i drove home to eat the take out. Train your cooks that vegetarian and vegan means no meat or anything that comes from animals.

Came by at 7:45 supposed to be open till 9 but i guess the lazy employees wanted to call it early and stop working. Told us to leave instead of upholding there working hours.
