Tried the freshly made Mutton Ghee Roast Biryani, it was flavorful and perfectly cooked with authentic dum biryani richness. Chicken 65 was nicely cooked, and semi-dry. Double ka Meeta was right in sweetness and well-prepared. A satisfying meal overall!

We got the family meal for 6 people. Generous amount of biryani but it was a bit spicy for our liking although we asked for it to be mild. Garlic naan and chicken tandoori were absolutely delicious and we would definitely order them again. Butter chicken was also good but nothing special about it. We got the food to go as the seating is limited and not so great at the Mountain View location.

This Indian restaurant is very close to where I live and specializes in Telugu/Andhra-style cuisine from South India. One important thing to know before ordering — the food here is genuinely spicy, as authentic Andhra food tends to be, so be prepared if your spice tolerance is low. I ordered through Uber Eats and tried the fried chicken biryani and Apollo fish, and on another day I also ordered chicken lollipop. The chicken lollipop was quite different from what I’ve had at other Telugu restaurants — it leaned more toward Indo-Chinese style. Unfortunately, the lollipops were over-fried, making the outer layer quite tough and hard. I was expecting more southern spice flavors rather than a heavy Indo-Chinese sauce. The fried chicken biryani came with plenty of chicken pieces and was nicely spicy, which I appreciated. However, some portions of the rice felt slightly off, almost as if older rice had been mixed in. While the overall dish was still edible, that was a bit disappointing. The Apollo fish was decent — tender fish fillets coated in a spicy batter and fried. Fried food is usually enjoyable, and this was no exception, though nothing particularly stood out. Overall, it’s an okay option if you enjoy authentic Andhra-style Indian food and strong spice levels, but be mindful of the heat and consistency.

I recently visited Hyderabad Dum Biryani in Mountain View and honestly, the experience was disappointing. I ordered the Gongura Paneer Biryani, expecting a spicy and flavorful dish, but it turned out to be quite bland and lacking any real punch. The portion size was decent, but the taste didn’t justify the hype or the price. What really surprised me was the setup — even though they have tables for dine-in, it felt more like a quick takeaway joint. There was no handwash station or restroom available, which is a basic necessity for any dine-in restaurant. On top of that, they charge a service fee, and even the gravy that typically comes with biryani was an additional charge. These small things added up and left a negative impression. The staff was okay, but the overall service didn't make up for the lack of comfort and taste. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic, satisfying biryani.

We ate all the food, it was fine. Overall, they skimp on the protein in the dishes for the price. I had ordered chai, it never arrived. When we ordered the biriyani, we were asked if we wanted "the salad" on the side. We said yes, but we never got it. We noticed other tables had sauces that came with their biriyani, we didn't get any. We ordered chicken Manchurian for appetizer, it was basically like Chinese sweet and spicy chicken. For our mains we got the chicken Tikka masala and the ulavacharu biryani. The flavors were fantastic! But there just wasn't enough chicken to justify getting it again. Also, they are definitely using a microwave for some of their food, you could hear the beeping and the microwave door opening and closing. The employee also asked us multiple times to leave a review so I am. The prices on the menu didn't seem accurate to what we were charged. Seems like it was about 30% more than what we expected. Felt scummy. For similar food, will be going to Zareens next time instead.

do not come. Wait for more than 30 mins with a Mongo lassi sitting in front of me. No strew. Finally food arrived. The waitress took a picture of the food immediately. So my order is a way for them to take a picture and advertise. Not for me to eat. She went outside to get a straw from another store. Ridiculous.

I used to enjoy this place, but I'm done. I had a delivery order that I canceled because I found a hair in my food, a genuine food quality issue. Despite that bad experience, I gave them another chance and went in person to pick up a new order. Instead of simply giving me my order, the staff member confronted me about why I had canceled my previous order and warned me not to cancel this time. I explained the issue and even showed him the evidence, but he got completely defensive and refused to acknowledge it. He wasn't ready to face the facts. He also cross-checked whether my current order was even mine, as if I was there to steal someone else's food. It was humiliating. He acts like he runs the place with zero accountability, as if customers owe him something rather than the other way around. The arrogance and entitlement are shocking for someone in a service business. He yells at customers, makes them feel small, and has zero hospitality. I hope the owner sees how this place is being run, and if this person is the owner, that says everything. I came back willing to give them another chance, and they've lost me for good.
