The service was wonderful. I wanted to try the Chile Verde sauce to make sure it wasn't too spicy for me. The waiter immediately brought me out a sample. He was right it was not spicy. We will definitely be going back

They serve the best crunchy tacos with ground beef, and I love their skinny spicy margarita. I also appreciate their friendly service, and there’s plenty of parking available. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal!

Had such a great time seeing friends we hadn’t seen in a very long time. We met up here. I had the 2 item - cheese enchilada, chile relleno and beans and rice. So delicious! It satisfied my craving. I wish I’d taken pics but I was caught up in the moment that I totally forgot. In a way, that was a good thing- I was totally present and enjoyed the great company and food. Oh I had jugo de jaimaca for a refreshing drink. I’ve had their margaritas before - funny story there but for another time. The margaritas are nice!

Excellent place for delicious Mexican food. Our usual spot is Guadalajara but we found the Jimenez in Menifee. Our kids like the bigger kids menu. The house margaritas are nice and strong!

I like the build your own meal. I like chile relleno with green sauce, beef burrito with green sauce...all beans. There's always enough for me to take home.

Great food, authentic flavors, quality ingredients. If you dont finish your plate you will make damn-sure you remember that to-go box! Simple menus with just enough choices. The Staff is great, especially Gustavo! He is always on top of it. House margaritas are awesome and there beers-on-tap are dialed in perfect!

This place was so good! Their food came out quickly and they were generous with portions. They brought out a second basket of chips without us asking and their salsa is flavorful and not overly spicy.

Casa Jimenez never disappoints! I have been going to this restaurant for years and will continue going back. The service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. This restaurant does get quite busy, especially on the weekends, so I recommend going early to ensure you will be seated right away.

A unique Mexican food place that lives up to the hype! This place is buried in a mall with lots of others place and can be easily missed; but you shouldn’t! We strolled into this place to try the food that was hyped up on Yelp. The smell from outside and in was savory! The menu is pretty typical of a Mexican food place but it has lots more variety and very different specials. We went with soup some drinks and a couple enchilada plates. The prices were very reasonable especially for the sized portions. Their service was pretty great, always coming around for refills and keeping us up to date on the food. The food came out pretty quickly too. The food turned out to be fantastic and tasty, the meat was not over cooked and the sauces were spot on. They even brought out some chips and salsa before all this. Great drinks too! Check this place out, the total package.

My sister and brother-in-law have been going here for a while and we finally tried it 6 months ago and it has quickly become our go-to mexican food. We always get the cheese enchiladas and Campachana (sp) and split it. Happy hour is from 3-7 and their house margaritas are strong and never disappoint. Servers and staff are ALWAYS friendly and patient and they serve large groups flawlessly. Around dinner time there is usually a wait, but it is well worth it.

I was impressed with the waitress’ knowledge of how their food is prepared. Being vegan and gluten free poses challenges for many places. She was able to inform me that their chips are fried with lard - please make note. The rest of the offerings worked really well. The waitress offered some Italian squash and tomatoes along with bell peppers and onions for the veggie fajita along with fresh whole beans (no lard). Note that their re-fried beans have lard as well. We had some guacamole, fresh salsa and corn tortillas. Great taste and price. One plate feeds two.

I had the chili relleno and a chili Verde burrito and it was good but not the best I've had. Rice and beans were good also. Overall I'd recommend this place. To be fair this was my first time there.

While visiting the area, I was craving a margarita. Casa Jimenez served a decent one. However the chips and salsa were AMAZING!

The food was exponential. I never thought the food would be this good, but here I am. I was here with my family for dinner. My mom and dad shared the molcajete. It looked and tasted great. My sisters and I all got a California burrito. It had warm steak and fries but cold sour cream and guacamole. Very delicious. My brother got a cheese burger. It looked pretty good. The atmosphere was very authentic. When we got there, it was loud, but then it got pretty quiet. The staff was very nice and friendly but it was a little slow. Overall, it was a great experience for the family and I. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends

Casa Jiménez overall is a solid place to eat. Their buffet alone is guaranteed to put out of commission anyone that orders it. With 24 items to choose from, and a bowl of their tasty albondigas soup (just one), they kind of know very well their game plan. Is something like this: the first plate ordered from the buffet includes a very delicious refried beans and rice, plus 3 items of the 24 items one can choose from. When that first plate shows up is very generously served, and in our case, prior to it, they brought 2 fresh basket of chips and salsa, and needless to say, I finished one basket before I could say watch out! Being a party of 3, two lovely ladies and yours truly, it also was a very generous amount come to think about it. So when my choice came, which included Beef Tamal, Carnitas, and Chile Verde, I was already heavily taxed from having enjoyed their somewhat spicy salsa and fresh made tortillas. One of the 🥰 cutie pies also ordered from the buffet option, Chile Relleno, 2Taquitos with fresh guacamole and sour cream, and a Beef Tamale. Halfway into that first round, the signs of a loosing battle were apparent to the naked eye. Here I would like to say that their regular cold water was actually of good taste. Big points for that! The second cutie did not opted for the buffet, chose instead a $7.99 Chicken Burrito, which when it arrived it was seriously loaded with shredded chicken. They apparently do not cut corners in Casa Jimenez, because a Carne Asada Burrito I ordered to take home for one of the nicest people in the planet, was loaded with soft carne asada as well. Not at all like most other places that by the time they add lettuce, rice, beans, and what not, you find the meat in meager amounts. I thought that elevated Casa Jimenez, for not being cheap. At $13.99 the plate for the buffet, and the unusual, but well received fact that they prepare the food and bring it, none of the long lines and food under heat lamps here, I would say that considering is all a person can eat, and even though we failed miserably in the next serving department, it is a nice deal. The place was very busy on a Tuesday night, being the well known Taco Tuesday, many patrons the place had. I am not going to say that their food was to die for, the carnitas being a little dried, the dark sauce they put on the tamales not a favorite, but everyone working at the time was extremely nice, and that certainly counts for us. The menu had many more expensive dishes to be savored with any luck at a later date. Ordered also a couple of Flans 🍮 to go, at $4.99 a pop, and will not do it again, just average at best. Patricia, our server, was a beautiful Mexican powerhouse, full of life, kind and efficient, and as I stated everyone that came in contact, above average. Casa Jiménez delivered a self inducing siesta, with no serious after effects, and us being there was a plus. 4 Stars.

Came for the first time to try it out and upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly host and a nice looking space. Unfortunately, the food didn't do it justice. I tried a 3 item build your own combo to try a few different things to see how they compare to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Everything was slightly off. The chips are oily and leave a film in your mouth but taste good. The salsa is meh. The beans are definitely under seasoned and bland. The rice was the best thing on the plate. The crunchy shredded beef taco was delicious until the second bite that pulled the rest of the "meat" out of the taco because it was just a large glob of chewy fat and sinew. The cheese enchilada was covered with their red sauce that tasted like canned sauce making the experience similar to a microwave enchilada meal. Then there was the chili relleno. I love chili rellenos but this one was covered in verde sauce and was extremely bitter. I kept trying it hoping it was just a strange bite but it was consistent to the middle of the chili. Overall, I didn't enjoy the food that I ate at this restaurant enough to ever return. If I rated this restaurant on their refried beans alone, I wouldn't return because that staple is in or with most of the entrees. To put it simply, the food I tried wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.

I’ve been going here for years. Service is outstanding! Food is good. Drinks are great. Why the three stars? They have changed their lighting in the restaurant to 5000K bulbs. It’s like high noon at 8:00 in the evening. I go out not just for the food but also for the ambience. Hard to enjoy a cozy meal with my wife when the light is so bright. No longer has the Mexican restaurant vibe. I’ll miss it.

Came for a conference in Murrieta from Florida, and while exploring the town we passed by this restaurant. We looked it up, saw some reviews and decided to stop by and have lunch. It was pretty good or just okay, I have mix feelings. We ordered create your own combos. The taquito that were ordered with one of the combos, either the tortilla that was fried or the chicken that was stuffed in it was spoiled. My wife spit it out after taking a bite. We let the waitress know, so she was aware and said she would let “them” know, but that is all that was done. It was never remade or no one came out to address the issue. We had a sope and crunchy taco and it was not bad. The sope a little soggy and tough on the bottom. The shredded chicken on it was good, and so was the sauce on the enchilada we had. Overall I give the place a 3, and that is me being nice. Like I said, I have mix feelings. I personally think the waitress thought we were lying about the taquito, maybe trying to get something free but we weren’t. It’s our first time in Cali and first time eating at Casa Jimenez. We will definitely visit Cali again, but I think it will be the last time eating at Casa Jiménez.

The staff is friendly and they'll get to know you if you're a regular. Most of the time, it's open tables pick the one you want, and they will bring you a menu. I had the #55. Enchilada & Chile Relleno, the food was good but seemed more fast food like that restaurant quality. Seems like I had more sauce than enchilada. The chips and salsa they bring were delicious.

Great atmosphere and service. Which is why I was disappointed by the food. It was good but nothing worth writing home about. And for the price it was quite disappointing. The chips and salsa were the best part.

Very much a favorite for the locals. Fan favorite seemed to be Gustavo that was all over the place, geeting and chatting it up with the patrons. He definitely added to the atmosphere. Sat at the high-top tables by the bar, service was very slow. Salsa that came out with the chips tasted like it had vinegar but one dip was enough to know I did not like it. Shrimp fajitas were plain and the shrimp wasn't seared, all just looked like they had been thrown in a pan for 2 seconds. Rice was okay. Beans were also meh. Nothing out of the ordinary or flavorful. The flan was a nice portion but not thick or creamy.

I am uncertain as to how they managed to prepare such delicious food that is nonetheless devoid of flavor and somewhat disappointing. I never anticipated experiencing such poor quality cuisine at a Mexican restaurant.
