A gem of a restaurant! Staff super friendly, food was great and the dessert choices were so varied we ended up coming back the next day for dinner and to try a few more.

This place is one of a kind. Outside dining area among the trees was beautiful and the owners were very kind. They have the best coffee around. This will be our breakfast place when we visit Naples next time.

An incredible space, where everything is clean and in working order but nothing has been changed. Let's hope it stays that way forever. From the diner in front, the ice cream stand, the bar, or the rear restaurant, this place has character in spades. My hot roast beef sandwich with gravy was solid, too.

If you like an old style diner, you've found the right restaurant. The food was great and the service was very friendly and prompt. It does get busy around meal times and appears to be the local spot. Outdoor window service is also available. We ate inside and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Bob and Ruth’s is a place we love to eat and visit! Great homemade food, wonderful staff, amazing atmosphere. My grandmother used to take us here when we were children. Now I take me adult kids. It is very, very special!❤️💕

I had a great Kimmelwick sandwich, and a slice of grape pie. The waitress was very friendly, and the service was prompt.

This place is just amazing! The food was incredible, even the water tastes good! It has been operational for 70 years, and it still looks amazing. There's a huge window where you can look out to the mountains. The waiters/waitresses are so sweet. My mom ordered a Sprite and they brought her a coke, and they profusely apologized but my ma didn't care, but it just shows the level of perfection that is required. You dont have to wait long for your meal either. They also make homemade ice cream and pies, but I was too full to give my personal opinion. In the summers you can order outside through a window, which I will definitely be doing as summer rolls around. If I could rate this place 6 stars I would. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Bob N Ruth's is awesome! Our first visit there, sat right in the front. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere very relaxed. A great stop in Naples for delicious food and great service.

I loved the food and the atmosphere. The seating area was really beautiful to walk into. It brought you back in time to a simple time. I forgot what I ordered but it was something unique in the menu I've never seen before. Open face sandwich with a delicious cheese sauce. I'm not big on cheese, but this was well seasoned and melty. The staff was so friendly! They made sure we were well taken care of and certainly exceeded my expectations. It was a recommended stop and I certainly would recommend it myself!

Although we didn't dine here we stopped by and got a slice of grape pie to go. We never had grape pie before. The service was super quick and nice, an most importantly the pie was really good!!

As you walk in you are automatically greeted,seated and order taken. The food came out fast and the food was mouthwatering and delicious. I I'm ever in Naples, N.Y. I will definitely be back.

Awesome service & great food. We couldn't ask for a more enjoyable lunch. I highly recommend the clam chowder. It's a great way to warm up on a cool day! We'll definitely come back next time we're in town.

We had a group of 14 that rode down for lunch. A few of us have been here before. The food was good as always. We had Kate as our server. She was terrific. She was attentive, friendly and most of all fit in quite well with our group. We would highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Stopped for a piece of grape pie. Got burgers too. Delicious. Burgers are hand made, soft bun not like you get at a fast food place. Prices are very reasonable. You’d pay more at a fast food restaurant and not have a pie.

I was there for the Naples Grape Festival. I walked up and down Grimes Glen then went to B & R for dinner. I had the sirloin tips and noodles with the salad bar. The salad bar was stocked with fresh lettuce and other veggies. The main dish was pretty good and generous portions. my dessert was a piece of coconut cream pie which was very large. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. I was told they bake all their own pies. I recommend stopping here if you're looking for a nice dinner and comfortable tables.

We go here every other week for breakfast in the summer,our favorite place to eat. The sausage gravy and biscuits is definitely the best ANYWHERE!! And the staff is awesome! We miss you and can't wait till April! Sandy and Rick

Ate here on Mother’s Day in the back dining room. Wonderful experience. Had chicken scampi. Portion size was perfect and cooked perfectly; just the right amount of garlic, not drowned in butter, all the flavors came through, including the asparagus. Soup and salad bar was delicious, not excessive but everything was fresh and who wants to ruin their appetite when a delicious entree is coming? Dessert was fabulous! Server was attentive and relaxed.

This place was a treasure to find! It's three things in one. A wonderful dine in with a old time U shaped bar. A great affordable breakfast and the friendliest ladies. There is a walk up window on the side for the typical ice cream and grill items if you want to eat outside.. The best part was the large back area which contained a nice wine and dinner bar area complete with outdoor deck. The decor reminded me of the old supper clubs of the upper Midwest. I hope nothing ever happens to this piece of architectural history. There is a great large parking area behind the building for folks like us that were pulling a trailer. Oh, did I mention the pies!

I have been going here since I was a kid! It was always a treat; My Mom, Brother and myself would stop here for some ice cream(my favorite is the chocolate and vanilla soft serve swirl with chocolate sprinkles 🤤) before our long venture back home to Rochester. Returning here as an adult still makes me happy, the staff is so hard working and friendly and the food is delicious! Make sure you stop by if you're in the area! I also tried their homemade grape pie for the first time and brought it to work with me, we all agree it was great!!

Great small-town family restaurant. You can sit down and eat or you can order snacks and desserts at the window and eat at the picnic tables in the park. We make it a tradition to come get milkshakes here after hiking nearby Grimes Glen. The staff affe always very friendly and patient with the kids. You can get grape pie and other grape desserts here when grapes are in season. I highly recommend Bob & Ruth's.

We used the walk-up window for ice cream. The great tasting ice cream must be ice milk since my diabetic blood sugar numbers go down whenever we partake. Two sundaes are a little on the expensive side so we may not come back often again ( one Mexican sundae, one hot fudge sundae for ~$17.98). You be the judge.

Was a wonderful quick stop for burger and fries. Delicious after a day on the water. Minimal wait for food. Outdoor dinning option was our choice for this summer evening. Worth a visit to finish your day in Naples or Hi-Tor or on the lake.

Had the kimelwick sandwich fries and cup of bean soup. Sandwich ok. Liked fries. Bean soup ok. Nice small cafe atmosphere where locals eat and talk about what’s happening. That’s what liked. Server and service good.

Food was very good and quickly brought to us. Service was excellent. Prices were a little high but I think because it is a tourist town. Have been there several times and never had a problem.

I went by myself today to this place which I have gone to since I was a child. Jesse, my server was GREAT, despite the kitchen staff's stresses and the fluke problem with a sudden roof leak. I had iced tea, corn chowder and a club sandwich which was great! I was however disappointed to see the man with the moustache who was bussing being rude to an older waitress who has been a fixture there longer than I can remember. She happened to be standing somewhere obviously quite inconvenient for him. Basically, in a very condescending tone he told her to" get out of the way!geez!!!" What a ****. He could have said excuse me, need to get through in a NICE way. If you are that Miserable, find a new job. Sir, you need to check yourself and realize she may not be as quick as you, it wasn't even that busy and get over yourself! SUMMER is just beginning , and you better figure out how to be nice and work together. If I am in there again and I see you do that to anyone, as a customer, I will Shame on you in front of everyone. Otherwise this is a great, nostalgic place to enjoy a meal and reminisce. Ice cream window too!

These "original" restaurants are really great. May go back for dinner, the bar area looks cool. The grape pie was worth having, should have added the Ala mode.

Food was ok. The whole time, the staff was talking about people on unemployment. That made things a bit unenjoyable. I don't want political conversations while I am eating my breakfast.

I went there during Naples Grape Fest - this restaurant 'was' iconic - It was THE place to go eat when you went to Naples! Now, it seemed more like a dive bar. I'm sure the pandemic didn't help any but they weren't looking shiny and clean. - staff just looked tired and not in the mood...the food was a reflection of this as well.

I was here about 6 years ago and had the best turkey sandwich that I've ever had in my life. It was the perfect turkey sandwich and I told everyone back home that turkey sandwich perfection had been achieved in Upstate New York. Fast forward 6 years, and I find myself back here, looking forward to another example of perfection and what do I get? A very dry, not so great turkey sandwich. Aah, well. I suppose that fame is only fleeting. But I still remember that first time.

Cute place. Kind people. Lobster bisque tasted like out of a can which it probably was. Metal and lacking in flavor. And it was 4.95 for a bowl.... My chicken sandwich was mediocre. Nothing special. I think I was disappointed.

Most certainly a mom & pop run diner. Atmosphere was that of an old diner with a bar in it, also has a ice cream window. Service was nice and very friendly. Understandibly price have raised for everything and in order to keep in business they had to do the same. If you go, just know that the sandwiches do not come with fries unless you want fo pay $4 extra for each side. Not sure we will return.

Fries were absolutely delicious but the portion was small. Great with a side of gravy. I liked the retro feel of the restaurant. Staff were very nice. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which wasn't bad. The bread was soft. It could have used a little more flavor.

We used to stop there when we went to Naples. We did a week ago and I was shocked the servers didn't wear masks. I went to the rest room to wash my hands and it was dirty. We went to order and they were out of most items. Food reminded me of school cafeteria. Not fresh. We will not go back.

Well, that was for the first experience and I went again and it took forever to get my food even though there’s only two people in there. Service was great though.

8 of us Went for breakfast at 10:30. They stop serving breakfast at 11. Cook complained that she had to cook breakfast orders. Ordered hash and eggs. Eggs were semi cooked and the hash was burned. One person ordered French toast and was given pancakes. The waitress took it back and the cook refused to make the french toast. We heard her yelling that they "should just the the damn pancakes or starve!" Avoid this place at all cost.

Nice place but... out riding the bike this evening and stopped for a cold drink, $3 for a small root beer!!!!!!!

Very dated decor! Food was burnt and fries were frozen kind when we were told they were fresh cut. Got charged extra for burger dressings without it stating it on the menu. Not planning a revisit!

This is the 2nd time we went there and unfortunately the last the service was great but the food was bland and no flavor the price was good for the burgers and wrap but the fries were extra and the soda was very expensive and the hours showed they were open till 8 but we got there at 645 and they closed early after we got there was told it was a busy day and they just wanted to get home so we felt rushed to leave

Not very good. Even for simple things like a fish sandwich. There was no taste at all. Decor very outdated, it was like stepping onto the 60's and not in a good way. Avoid this place unless you want to be disappointed.

My mother and I have looked forward to eating here every Fall for many years. It is very disappointing the quality and price of food we had Sunday. The Open-Faced Reuben is no longer made with brisket; it is now processed corned beef. My mother's Piled High Corned Beef sandwich was 2 slices of processed corned beef served on stale rye bread and nothing else. No condiment, no pickle, nothing. We sent it back and was charged $3 for the side of coleslaw which came with the nothing sandwich for $12.95. Not withholding, part of the toilet in the Women's restroom was completely missing so, ladies could not sit down. Bye-Bye Bob & Ruth's.

Stopped into a well known restaurant for YEARS in our drive to Naples. Bob and Ruth’s has been known in the area for years and we always enjoyed our meal there. Because of Covid, we’re now forced to eat outside. It was a gorgeous day so “ no problem.” Our meal however left a lot to be desired. The sandwiches were great ( fish sandwiches and a cheeseburger) how the side portions of fries and potato skins was the portion on a kiddie meal. The reason I mention portion is, when we paid, it was $60 for 4 adults having 3 fish sandwiches w/potato skins, a cheeseburger w/fries and 4 lemonades! $15 a piece is outrageous! There is no tip because you order at a window and pickup yourself when it’s ready. Portion size and meal NOT WORTH $15 a person. Sadly we won’t return to this old favorite.

The Turkey dinner was tasteless. Instant mashed potatoes, 2 tablespoons of stuffing ( more like a piece of toast) with bland gravy. A lettuce ( mostly lettuce ) salad. The restaurant is definitely not up to par. It was once one of my favorite places to eat. It has definitely gone down hill.

Overall the food was good. But their credit card machine wasn't working and they failed to mention that until we came up to pay. Normally this wouldn't bother me but it was pouring rain outside and I had to go to the gas station a mile down the road and then circle back to pay with cash. They never offered a discount for the unconvince.

How does this place have good reviews? Yes its the end of the season and were out of some items totally expected that. My sandwich was dry beef and burn, I only ate half because I couldn't stomach it. Quaint diners are my thing the older the better. Because it's the end of the season means you get to throw anything on a plate. The servers seemed miserable, I honestly do not get the appeal of this place.

Food was tasteless, they didnt have half the items on the menu. There is no communication between kitchen and staff to know what the have left. Cooks showed no care. I do not recommend.

Bob & Ruth's used to be a good place with reasonable prices, but those days are over folks. Spent $5.00 for a tuna sandwich and $7.95 for a cheeseburger with bacon. Both orders came with a smattering of potato chips that if they were large chips instead of bottom of the bag chips would have equaled about 6 chips. $3.50 for a cup of soup, $7.50 for a Mexican sundae with a few peanuts thrown in. And don't get the iced tea unless you like it watered down.

Pulled pork sandwich was skimpy and obviously just leftover porkchops shredded and drenched in BBQ sauce. The ketchup is NOT Heinz or if it is they're cutting it 50/50 with vinegar to stretch it...basically inedible. Good coffee though and GREAT carrot cake!

I will not return! Expensive for that tomato, onion, and mayo on my hamburg. Was shocked when I got the bill. Didn't tell me it would be more money for that half of slice of tomato and a slice of onion. Poor customer service!

This place was horrible. It had a bad odor. It was dirty overall. The silverware was dirty. It was in ill repair. The food was NOT edible. I had the chicken pita and had to spit it in my napkin. If I could give this place negative stars I would (1 is the default).

Never got to go inside been here several times and each time they close Early. I specifically went onto the website. It said 8 PM they were open until I was here 6:48 PM and they sent another customer out to tell me they were closed.

Worst food I ever had. Sent my beef on week back. And they still charged me. The beef was like processed beefsqueaky and there was absolutely no salt on the weak roll and it was stale. Bobs&Ruth's is a small diner on the edge of Naples New York. There's space in the front for maybe 30 at most from what it looked like. This place DESPERATELY needs a remodel and facelift. The decor is VERY OLD and OUTDATED-looks like original fixtures and wood paneling walls from 40 years ago. Also, very dirty and run down. Glancing around there's some small bar with what appeared to be one small window in the back. It doesn't seem like anyone's too concerned about modernizing the place and making it a cute diner for locals and visitors alike to rave about. This seems like it's one of those diners where they aren't worried because there's really not many other choices other than Redwood Restaurant, Naples Hotel or Roots Cafe. We were seated and were able to order relatively quickly I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I can honestly say it was the worst plate of spaghetti I've had in quite a long time. The meatballs were super dry and covered in a green seasoning. The tomato sauce was very tasteless with not enough sauce. The garlic bread on the side was two triangles of toast with bland seasoning of some sort. The cheeseburgers my table ordered we're actually decent. But the fries they came with were pretty blah. This place would really benefit from an uplift in decor and a wider menu selection with better recipes. Give Naples something to be proud of, not embarrassed.

Truly terrible, overpriced food. Strongly do not recommend. $8 Turkey Sandwich was one piece of Turkey breast with one piece of lettuce between 2 slices of white wonder bread. $5.50 ‘Loaded fries’ were 20 or so fries covered in Velveeta cheese and a few bacon bits. Incredibly disappointing.

Was there a week ago, first and last time. Coffee had a strange after taste and it turned out the burger had that same awful after taste as if somehow the coffee and burger had something in common (the dishes?). You get no sides with the burger which is strange as for the same price just about every other place gives you a side. My local YMCA makes much better coffee. I believe they are milking it for all its worth.

When we walked in the place was sticky and dirty. We sat down at the counter and ordered. We ordered a chocolate milkshake and when it came out it tasted sour and it was just not right, we sent it back and they said “we will take it off your bill”. They DID NOT take it off of in full they took about $3.00 off of the $5.00 milkshake. That was only after having a sip. Then our food came out and it was basic. Ordered a Chicken salad and it had iceberg lettuce and eggs and tomatoes and croutons like any salad at an unhealthy place with a bit of chicken on it and the croutons were stale and tasted moldy. Also ordered a burger with bacon and a cheese sauce on it. I spit it out and spots tasted just bad. It came with a side of greasy freezer fries and was $26.00 for just that. My salad cost over $12.00 and was probably worth $2.00. I could get a salad a Panera Bread for cheaper than that and Panera is pretty pricy for much better quality food. Would’ve gave them no stars if I could. I would rather eat at the gas station and was sad to see slightly up the road was a cuter looking cafe that I would’ve much rather eaten at. Very disappointing.

If you want to learn patience this is the place, Took forever to get drinks, and our order taken. The waitress wasnt rude, but wasnt nice either. Food was worse. Sprite was flat. They did offer a milkshake and didnt charge. Bbq ribs were not eatible.Turkey was still pink. Mash potatoes were cold. Decor and atmosphere felt like we were on the 70s, (not in a good way) very outdated. Too bad there arent more options in town.

I got the hot Turkey sandwich. It honestly reminded me of something I'd get in school for lunch. Dried turkey on two pieces of bread smothered in gravy. With mashed potatoes as a side. It is the classic place you go to only because it's the place that's bee around for years but it doesn't actually earn it's worth in food quality. Also I got a milkshake and it was the blandest vanilla milkshake. Tasted more like milk then ice cream and to not offer variations to milkshakes like everywhere else does seems behind the times. Chocolate, vanilla or strawberry is the only choices. Disappointing

Been years since I went, it looked and smelled like an old man’s mildewy basement. Wait staff was pleasant the owner eh, fortunately the credit card machine went down so we no other choice to find another restaurant to each lunch. This place seriously needs a makeover.

Went for an ice cream cone at the window. I asked for a medium with sprinkles. I got a small with a couple sprinkles. He also charged me for a large. When I asked he waved me away saying those were last years prices! The ice cream wasnt anything special either. What's the deal with customer service and prices? I told him he should change the sign, the sign by the way that looked like its never been changed. He waved me off. Very rude! 1st visit and last visit.

Went to this restaurant for breakfast on Father’s Day. Sat there for 45 mins after ordering and watched 2 groups the same size as ours that arrived after we ordered get their food. We got up and left. Saying the menu selections were very basic would be putting it lightly. We have added this place to our never go back to list.

Went down for lunch with a friend and ordered the spaghetti and thought spaghetti sauce looked and tasted weird I could tell it was salsa and found a hair in the spaghetti so stopped eating it and soda isn't really good taste like pure carbonation and also heard workers yelling at each other would not recommend going

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone The food is terrible, the tables are uneven and spill water all over the place if you touch them when there’s cups of water in them, the mashed potatoes taste horrible and seem like they came out of a box. The kids chicken fingers which says it comes with 3 fingers only comes with 2 (and they will argue with you if you tell them the menu says 3). The $10 grilled cheese burger comes with nothing other than the burger and is super small. When you order a side of French fries they bring you about 12 fries and they seem like the lowest quality fries there are. Ruth argues with the customers and will not correct any mistakes they make when bringing food. The only good part about the experience was the waitress who had quick service but what good is quick service if your order isn’t even what you ordered. Definitely will not be coming here again

I wanted to like it. We drove an hour to try it out. The iced tea was watery and old tasting. The turkey sandwich was tasteless and disgusting. The burger was decent. Everything was overpriced and just about inedible. I hate to be so harsh, but it was my first and last time eating there.

I was out with my daughters after the loss of my grandson. The server asked if we wanted separate checks and when we said yes she was disgusted, which awkwardly put us in an uncomfortable situation. Because we didn’t decide right away when her attitude caught us off guard, she very rudely told us to hurry up with our check choice. When we decided to do all together and figure it out on our own, she looked at my one daughter and questioned her if that was our final choice.. What a terrible vibe after that. After we rushed through ordering, a couple behind us had a dish they wanted sent back because it was too salty for the lady to eat. The owner was complaining out loud by the cash register and then proceeded to come to their table and very rudely told the customer that she is the only one who complained about it, “you are 1 out of 100 customers” shaking her head and pointing at the lady. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I own two restaurants and if my servers ever spoke to or treated my customers like that they would have been fired. I also feel the owner sets the tone in the diner. How you treated that customer was completely unacceptable and made a lot of your other customers uncomfortable… as tables near us, we all chatted… while being glared at by the two servers in the entire establishment. Shame on you! You are in the Naples community, a tourist community that everyone enjoys to come to. We will never be back. Such a shame because your food was good but customer service trumps food.

Food was edible, but not very good. Coffee was terrible. Sausage gravy was greasy and separated, had to send it back. Ordered steak and eggs, steak was not much bigger than a thick slice of bacon. Best part was the toast. Very disappointing. Server was nice and there was no wait for seating.
