It was very busy but looked very inviting; white table cloth and right on 5th. Managed to get a table without reservation. The pizza was excellent and wide variety of salads and pastas.
Excellent Christmas dinner. 🎄 Was hesitant based on recent reviews but had a great evening. Seated on time with reservation, pizzas and pastas were delicious & weather was good for sitting outside. Thank you for a great dinner!
Molto is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Naples! The place is beautiful, the food is to die for (I’m happy to report no cream in the carbonara) & the staff is filled with the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Daniele was amazing, he really enhanced the experience with his humor and warmth, I’m so grateful for his flawless service and his great suggestions. The food & people brought me right back to my childhood, I can’t wait to come back!
This Italian restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich, authentic sauces, every dish was a delight. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. To top it all off, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for both a relaxed dinner and a special occasion. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great Italian food paired with exceptional service and ambiance.
Molto Trattoria is the real deal! Authentic Italian food with perfect flavors, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service. My husband and I will definitely be back. Five thumbs up! 👏🍝🇮🇹
Can’t recommend enough. After 18 hours on the road, I had a pleasure to dine in this place for the second time now and I must say, You guys are brilliant. Excellent service and delicious food. Your marinara sauce with seafood linguine top notch.
What an absolute amazing experience with incredible food. We started with the meatballs and would recommend them hands down. So perfectly cooked and next level sauce is the way to kick this dinner off. The lasagna was another insane plate of pasta. The texture of the noodles was on point and the sauce completely made it feel homemade. They have a great wine menu along with mix drinks. Cool place to people watch on 5th ave too. ✌️😎
molto is one of the best italian places i’ve ate at , even better than my favorite in NYC , started with burrata which was so flavorful with a freshly made mozzarella tied like it should be and presented perfectly served with a very soft fresh baked bread .. the napoli pizza was amazing one of the best another i had in miami but amazing pizza , cooked to perfection under the pizza was cooked just right also .. also order lee the pesto and shrimp pasta was very good noodles were cooked al dente . the service was A1 , we had 5 servers come to our table , granted we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time before it got very busy but it’s busy for a reason the food is well worth the wait . also the manager was keeping everybody on their job and making g sure everybody was doing the right thing , constructive and great service always came by to fill my water cup and came to check on us .. will definitely be back thank you .. also the restaurant was very very clean they were actively cleaning while we were there and smelled great .. last but not just we ordered the affogato de caffe , espresso and ice cream was the best thing to eat after a filling meal to keep you going .. great espresso and creamy ice cream
Molto. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The service was exceptional — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The food was outstanding. Every dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. The wine selection was also impressive, complementing the meal beautifully. Molto is truly a gem. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or just a great meal with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. I can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend.
Excellent dishes, super delicious and plentiful. The plate came with lots of shrimp, calamari, and clams. The atmosphere was absolutely spectacular — they made me feel like I was in Italy.
Attentive service on a cozy and welcoming atmosphere! Delicious, unique and authentic Italian cuisine! I will be back for sure.
Great. Everything was great. We got the pizza and few glasses of wine. Fantastic pizza, atmosphere and service. Visited for lunch on a Wednesday.
You cannot beat the service at Molto Trattoria, their staff is on top of every detail! We ordered up the Homemade Meatballs and the Margherita Pizza...both were outstanding and the ingredients seemingly fresh from Italy! A very busy place on a Wednesday night so make sure and make reservations! This was our 131st Diners Drive-Ins and Dives stop and a very good one at that.
Fantastic food and prompt service. The restaurant was full and they did everything to accommodate us as soon as possible. The quality of the food is very good, every patron seemed happy and satisfied. We sure were. Excellent place.
Best authentic Italy food in town… nice atmosphere, super staff , Andrea, Mirgin , Stefania and all other guys from the team … thanks for all the nice evenings..
A really amazing Italian food, it is authentic and delicious, the service was excellent they were always pending of whatever you need and the prices are reasonable. 100% recommended
We had beautiful experience at Molto Trattoria for dinner time on 4th of July. Busy day but everything was good, server did a good job, they have big variety of wine choices, food menu is diverse and everything we had was tasty and delicious. Pizza seems to be very popular and as far as I’ve seen it, it looks amazing. Next time gotta try one.
Absolutely amazing! Everything tasted fresh and authentic. They also were very accommodating with orders. Really enjoyed the veal parm, it was bigger than my head. The star of the night was the lasagna 👌. THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. No one at the table disagreed with that statement. I will be returning for that again. They were packed on a Wed night. I would plan ahead.
I can’t give this restaurant enough stars!! It definitely took me back to my days in Italy. Everyone on the waitstaff was exceptional, and I loved that the servers helped each other out when they were busy. We were never left without anything because there was always someone checking in on us. All of our dishes were delicious and the cocktails were equally great. It has the cutest little atmosphere and is as authentic as you can get. This is definitely a place to try if you want to leave happy & full!
So good !!!! I get the truffle pasta everytime. The noodles are so amazing ! I come here for my birthday every year and special occasions
We spend a week in Naples on vacation, and all I can say is, I wish I had eaten at Molto Trattoria earlier on our stay. From the owner (Andrea) to the waiter (Gentile), this place has the food La Nona used to cook for me! Feels like home, taste like you are eaten at your best friends house, and La Nona is cooking. Grazie mille raggazzi, io e mia Moglie abbiamo passato una notte meravigliosa! We didn't have reservations, but from the moment we got there, the owner (Andrea) made sure we felt welcome, and within minutes, he got us a table. Gentile, our waiter was very nice, explained the menu, since I wanted two different things and let me tell you, he guided me in the right direction. The tagliatelle alla bolognese was perfect! The calamari exquisite and the cheesecake made with real mascarpone cheese was the perfect way to finish the night. We went to 2 other places and the food has no comparison. We will be coming back in 2026!
I can't say enough about this restaurant. the staff were all Italian and listening to them speak in this very clean, cozy, romantic atmosphere was just for starters. Our server, Xhovana was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and specials. She waited on my wife and I as if we were the only people there. The dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious. We ate until we just couldn't. We loved it. Everthing was spot on. I highly recommend you taking someone special here.
A very good Italian restaurant. We ate chicken permigiana, pizza, ravioli, risotto and mussels. They recommended a nice red wine to go with it. We were very pleased with everything we ate. A place that must be experienced. Prices are reasonable for 5th Avenue. Thank you, we will come again.
Absolutely delicious from start to finish! Jay our server even filleted my the branzino in front of us! Homeade cheesecake was amazing! Jay was so nice and accommodating and made this a great experience. Highly recommend
It’s been a long time since I had been to a good Italian restaurant—run by Italians, with authentic Italian flavor and Italian recipes. The best Neapolitan pizza, excellent service; honestly, I highly recommend it. I would love to be able to go every week.
Our best meal this week in Naples, just as it was our best meal last time in high season. Andrea was a fantastic server, great recommedations, service and conversation and the food, honestly was amazing. Could not have had a better experience. For reference we ordered the black ink pasta, carbonara, bologna tagliatelle, and the grouper. Delicious. Their Cesar salad was also noteworthy.
We have eaten here several times. It is our favorite restaurant because you are always treated well. Food is excellent- pastas and pizza are homemade, drinks are great and we love the location. It has been our favorite for years!
We come here once a year from Ohio. This is our family's get together every time. Food, drink, atmosphere, ambiance as night becomes on us, the staff, etc. etc. Wonderful place. We get the Veal dishes, out of this world! Thank you. Carl J.
Very authentic Italian food. Staff is very much Italian in nature but the the quality of food was definitely the standout. If you want a good Italian experience this place is definitely it.
This is the best restaurant in all of 5th Avenue in Naples. The menu is always vast with plenty of daily specials. The food is as authentic as it gets - delicious too, the team is consistently so accommodating. My Daughter and I got lucky and had Daniele as our server, super knowledgeable and friendly - great character, - knows the menu by memory. Kyle at the bar makes super drinks and pours them well, always has the bar popping. Love the people here.
Owner has a bit of an attitude but was Valentine's weekend and the restaurant was packed. It's also on Fifth Avenue in Naples, so there's already an aire of pretentiousness. Grabbed a beer at the bar before dinner, bar is small - not a knock but you're there for the food. Bartender was great and engaging. Food was great, wait staff was also great and provided good recommendations. You can eat inside or outside. Have heat lamps.
Great pizza and service! We normally order pepperoni pizza, but there was none on the menu. Jasmina, our server recommended the Diavola pizza with the spicy Neapolitan salami. We like it better than pepperoni.
We had an amazing experience at Multo Trattoria. Stefie took great care of us - friendly, attentive, and really made the night feel special. We started with the bruschetta and calamari, both fresh and full of flavor, paired with a chilled Chardonnay she recommended. For mains, we went with the calzone and the Capricciosa pizza, and everything was spot on. Great service, great food, great vibe. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and food….likely the best Italian food in Naples. We sat outside and had a lovely meal with friends and were treated like royalty. Thanks to the staff and bartender who made us feel special!
I ordered take out Tagliatelle Bolognese in the evening on New Year's Day. It was supposed to take 40 minutes and it came out exactly on time. The place was extremely busy (somewhat chaotic trying to pick up) but my pasta was absolutely delicious. I was super impressed with how good the food was on a very busy holiday night! I will be back!!
My Lord Molto was an intimidating experience… at first! Rolling up on a Friday night on a very busy 5th Ave sidewalk I wasn’t sure what to expect. I appreciate that while you wait outside the bar is happy to make a cocktail for you to take outside and supplement your people watching (and what a watch it is). We didn’t wait too long past our res time despite how busy it was (good sign). After we settled in I was hesitant to order an espresso martini until I tried my husbands and you can tell the coffee quality was just the pick me up I needed. (Great sign). Fast forward to the main event - food and service and neither disappointed. Again I get a little anxious if I have to compete for my servers attn and he was on top of it; he was funny and he was impressed with my husbands ability to filet an entire branzino down to its mere vertebra. I had spinach ricotta ravioli and they were freshly made and pasta nice and thin .. melt in your mouth phenomenal. I can tell it was of quality bc most pasta is too glutinous and this was light and digestible. We topped it off with some cheesecake and homemade pistachio panna cotta.. just wow! I see what the hype is about and appreciate the operational rigor!
Our experience at Molto started off a bit bumpy - we had made a reservation but still had to wait 20 mins to be seated and the hostess was rude. However once we were seated, we were greeted by our waitress who was extremely warm and friendly. The food was delicious - the calamari tasted fresh and the lasagna was extremely flavourful!
Great spot in Naples Main Street. The ambience was nice and the service was even better. Our waiter really took care of us and made solid recommendations. The food looked great but could have used a bit more flavor. Still a good experience overall.
The food was so good and lived up to all the hype from DDD! The food was very salty though, sometimes a little too much to handle. However, the meat so was juicy and tender. The meatballs literally melted in your mouth and the tomato sauce complemented them perfectly. The cheese in the lasagna was so rich and helped bring together the pasta, sauce, and meat filling. The pasta was a little soft but the taste was amazing! This restaurant has an outdoor patio area which overlooks Naples 5th avenue which made the atmosphere so enjoyable! Would recommend!!
I wanted to love but entree fell a bit short. I didn't particularly like the prep of spaghetti carbonara. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was dry. I was warned it might taste salty but that wasn't the problem. It was the consistency of the sauce. We shared the eggplant appetizer and it was delicious. Highly recommend. Service was good once our first waitstaff member was replaced because original was busy with big parties in bar area. I've been before since I live in Naples full time and will return with different menu choice.
A bit of a mixed experience at Molto last week. First, when we arrived, the place was insanely packed. We checked in and without being told a word, we were taken to their "overflow" space in another cafe next door. While it was much quieter, it did not have the same ambiance as Molto. When I started asking why we were taken there, I was told rather rudely that if I wanted to sit in Molto itself, it would be a wait, even though I made reservations well in advance. I totally understand using the overflow space (even if at another cafe), but at least inform me about it and ask if I would be OK with sitting there, before just taking me there. This was not a good start and set a negative mood for the entire dinner. We heard others around us being told about the daily specials, but our server never shared them with us. The food was a mixed experience as well. Burrata was just OK, but very tiny. Seafood salad indicated on the menu to contain octopus, shrimp, calamari ... ours was basically a calamari salad with two tiny shrimp halves and two tiny pieces of octopus. The porcini pizza was absolutely incredible and among the best I've ever had (including in Italy). For main course, we had pastas - porcini truffle pasta, mushroom pasta and carbonara -- all three were very good. Overall, not the best experience and we are not rushing to go back, but I think we will go back eventually for the pizza and the pasta.
Staff was very rude when we arrived. Despite having a reservation we were ushered outside to wait. The waiter also did not check on us once after taking our order, and once we did order our pizza came out cold. Despite the negatives, the truffle pasta dish was fantastic, and was the only saving grace for the review. Overall, food was fine, but there are other good Italian restaurants on 5th I would return to before Molto.
After reading many reviews, we booked dinner for four. For a place with such great reviews I will say we were a bit dissatisfied. You’re presented with very inexpensive laminated, frayed and taped generic menus in a place on 5th Avenue with prices consistent with many others. The food was just average. The service was excellent, atmosphere was very generic and noisy have to talk over loud music inside. For the location and prices we would expect better. Management should consider updating the cheaply issued menus they make a very poor impression and enhance the flavor of their food
Really had an off night tonight. Fish wasnt fresh. Requested homemade pasta and had no zip to it. A year ago it was good. Waitress passed out desert menu and never came by for an order. We won’t be back.
Went for lunch and sat outside. There were 3 of us. The pasta dishes were OK. I had the pizza which was not good. The cheese was plopped on the pie and did not melt during cooking. The pie was soupy. Too bad, as the crust was fine. Don't order the pizza!
The spaghetti carbonara was salty and pasta overcooked. “We recently dined here and unfortunately were disappointed. The pasta was overcooked and very soft, and the dish was overly salty to the point that it overwhelmed the flavors. For the price and reputation, we expected better quality. Hopefully it was just an off night
Extremely late delivery. We waited well over 2 hours for an easy pasta order. Food was way overpriced for what we got. They charged me $13 for kids buttered pastas and there was maybe 3 bites of spaghetti in a sides box container. It was pretty pathetic. I should have Ubered to the grocery store and bought pasta and sauce and attempted to make it in the hotel microwave for that price. $18 for 3 tiny mealy meatballs. They forgot our pasta bolognese - $19 down the drain. You get larger and tastier meatballs at chain restaurants. Maybe dine in is better but I can’t imagine for the cost.
Because I have a food intolerance, not an allergy, I made sure to check with the owner, the chef and servers to go over the menu. We made two visits prior to our 5 o’clock reservation so that the kitchen would not be busy. I was served a delicious mushroom pasta that was supposed to be garlic-free and made to order. NOT TRUE! I was sick for three full days. I stayed close to home and a bathroom, had powerful stomach cramps, spasms, and gastrointestinal difficulties. There was obviously garlic or onion hidden in my food, which I cannot tolerate. This ruined my week as well as my husband’s. How unprofessional, disrespectful and dangerous! What if I had a true allergy or needed an Epi Pen or had to go to the hospital? I’d like to give them a zero rating.
Food was good and that’s where it ended. We had to ask for bread. We had to ask for a serving spoon for salad. We were rushed and asked to leave because they needed the table. This was after watching the women busing the table give us several dirty looks. We were seated at 4:15 and were done with desert at 7:15. 2 couples who haven’t seen each other in awhile catching up. I don’t think 3 hours for dinner is an unreasonable amount of time. As I said before the food was good. The meatballs were tasty, Caesar salad was ok, lasagna was good not great, I was told the spinach ravioli was very good and that the rigatoni bolognese was tasteless. I know every restaurant has some dishes better than others and the food was not the problem here. It’s the staff. From the owner down to busboys-they definitely do not not how to treat customers. I was never going to even try this place due to my first interaction with them. It was December 6th. 5th was closed to vehicular traffic and all the restaurants had many many tables in the streets. We arrived on 5th for the festival about 3:30. Me, my wife and our very small puppy. After reading all the reviews we decided to try to eat at Molto without having a reservation. I was told by the owner that there were no available tables as I stood there staring at more than 30 empty tables. The owner tried to steer us to their small restaurant right next door. We declined. So, we walked down 5th and ended up getting some pizza which was terrible(but that’s for another review). After walking around for over 2 hours we passed Molto to get back to our car and at least 25 of the 30 outside tables were still unoccupied. We could definitely have eaten in that time span but the owner decided we were not worthy. So, again, after all of that we still decided to give this place a try and were again treated like crap. Just to set it straight. There is nothing out of the ordinary about us that could possibly be the reason for such poor treatment. That leads me to believe that these people just no nothing about running a restaurant. Again, food is good but definitely not worth the disrespect and aggravation You will receive at Molto. Don’t wast your time. Bice’ is a half block away. Better food, atmosphere and service. Not to mention very small portions and $400 bill for 4 pasta dishes. Unless you enjoy getting abused PASS on this place.
Don’t bother making reservations they don’t honour them. There are plenty of nice Italian restaurants in Naples that are just as good or better with far better Sevice and respect for people’s time. This restaurant purposely overbooks so it always looks busy. They make you wait 30-60 minutes for your table. It’s not the best Italian food there is no reason for this other than marketing.
