The overall experience was a 10/10 I went for my birthday! The bartender & waitresses were so nice and patient with us, they made my day so special!! The spinach dip was sooo good 10/10, the steak rolls weren’t my favorite but still good 6/10. The atmosphere was such a late night dinner vibe, the music was absolutely great!! lol everything was amazing I’m in aweee
Nice quiet higher end dining right in the heart of Nashville. Fine dining level fish (Tuna and Mahi Mahi ) and steaks. Great servers and friendly staff. The food was around a 9/10 ! The oysters were excellent. The ambiance is quieter than on the street nearby so helps to have conversations! After party on broadway is easy access.
Stayed away from the vibrant Nashville energy of the party town. Even on a weekday, it was exhilarating. So, we opted for a more subdued experience and found this lovely place. The food was scrumptious, and the ambiance was fantastic. It was a super early dinner, hence the lack of patrons. Shyanne the server, was so sweet and helpful with deciding what to order. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the Bang Bang shrimp pasta was nice and spicy, Pesto shrimp pasta(not pictured) was very tasty, lobster bisque was delicious. Drinks 🥃 👍. Prices were reasonable. We truly enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this place.
Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, this place is sophisticated, chic and romantic. Elegant decor and a calming atmosphere. Perfect for an evening date or catching up with friends. We Stopped by for an early dinner, the two gentleman at the front desk sat us by a booth facing the window so we had a lovely view of the street. Our server didn’t get his name but he was fantastic, though he was in training he was well versed on the menu and the lady that was with him was excellent as well. Both were very inviting and an answered all our questions about out the menu. Our meal came out in time and was delicious. Beautiful presentation! service was exceptional. This was our second time visiting the area and will definitely come back next time we’re in town.
Augustine provided amazing service, and the meal was absolutely delicious. While the drinks took a bit longer than expected, the overall experience was fantastic. Just a heads up.. you’ll see several additional charges on the bill , including standard sales tax, LBD sales tax, alcohol tax, and a hospitality fee.
W Wilbert Mississippi • 1 Review * Dined 2 days ago My experience here at The Rutledge most definitely exceeded my expectations. Our waiter Steve was phenomenal. He took great care of my husband and I, was so attentive and personal. We felt welcomed and right at home. What took the cake was when Steve brought out my dessert, he asked the other guests to chime in to help sing happy birthday to me. Omg, how amazingly thoughtful. I absolutely love dining here for my birthday and glad I chose the Rutledge over STK.
The atmosphere was great! Beautiful place with great service! Steve our waiter was very pleasant and kind. It was our first time and he was very informative on what good food we should try. I will be back and will recommend to family or friends 😊
A hidden gem of Nashville! Steve was the absolute best server and made the whole night so enjoyable. Everything we had on the menu was a 10/10. Top favorites were the Lobster Mac, Filet, Shrimp Crunch Roll and Apple Cobbler. Wonderful atmosphere, great service, and fantastic food. Will be back!
My husband and I had the BEST date night experience here!! The food was FANTASTIC, atmosphere amazing, and our servers Austin and Kayla were TOP TEIR!! They really went above and beyond to make our night special!! :) 11/10 would recommend!!
Had to stop by to try some of the awesome food and drink concepts. The Mahi Mahi and the elote street pasta were phenomenal! The sapphire martini was also quite amazing. To finish it off had the marscapone cake. Nothing disappointed and Kinza took great care of us. She was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable with the menu, service, and drink options. Very glad I got to stop by while I was in town!
We had a great visit to the Rutledge. It was a late night Father’s Day dinner, and we kind of had the place to ourselves. Our waitress was kind, engaging and efficient. The food was great! Definitely glad we dined here.
We dined here on a Saturday evening to celebrate our anniversary while in Nashville. Once arriving we were warmly greeted by the hostess and walked upstairs to our table. Upstairs was dimly lit and perfect for special occasions. Our waiter Austin arrived to our table promptly and was very friendly. Austin made several recommendations and checked on us often throughout our meal, providing excellent service. I enjoyed the seasonal cocktail, Pretty in Pink, while my husband had the old fashioned. The drinks were strong and tasty. I ordered the steak salad and loaded baked potato and both were very delicious. My husband had the ribeye and loaded baked potato which he also enjoyed. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would dine at The Rutledge again.
Austin was a wonderful server! He recommended some great entrees and drinks, and really made my birthday dinner special. The food was great, I would recommend the lemon mascarpone cake for dessert!
We had such an incredible dining experience at the Rutledge. The food was delectable and the wine was top notch! The oysters were so delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection. It was on my list of places to try and I'm so glad we did. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!
The food and service here is AMAZING! Steve is one of the best waiters my boyfriend and I have ever had. Steve was very professional, friendly and recommended some really good choices. I got the fried artichoke sandwich and my boyfriend got the filet mignon. Both of our meals were delicious. 10/10 highly recommended!
First time visiting this restaurant, and it was really good! The atmosphere was nice, and I liked the modern look and feel. Our server was great, and she was friendly and laidback. The food was delicious too! Definitely recommend the pressed tuna.
My wife and I went to Nashville with a friend couple. We spent three days over a weekend in town. We wanted to experience the music scene in town, as well as food and some cocktail bars. We expected to be impressed by the Honky Tonks in town. And we were hoping that the Speakeasy bars and regular cocktail bars in town were same calibre as other towns/cities. We dined here at the Rutledge a Saturday evening. We had a reservation. They have a nice selection of food and beverages. There is no dress code. The restaurant is modern with some tables and booths. We got a booth and definitely liked that. We really liked the food - real tasty. The service staff were polite and somewhat professional - but it was a bit obvious that some of the staff were quite new. But that was ok. All staff needs training. Overall a very nice experience.
I had one of the best fillets I’ve ever had and the heirloom carrots and asparagus were cooked to perfection! The atmosphere is beautiful and very spacious. Definitely go here to get out of the busy hustle and bustle and enjoy some fine dining.
Celebrated our anniversary here tonight! The Food and Service was outstanding! Thank you Agustin for making our night special and the attentive service.
The Rutledge has phenomenal service with employees that truly want to ensure you have the best dining experience. Steve, our waiter, was wonderfully knowledgeable of the menu and was able to help us navigate the new menu. As for the food the options to choose from there were a good amount of diverse options. The quality and freshness of the cuisine highlighted the excellence of this establishment. I had the lobster roll and my husband had the Steak that’s cost 64$ and it was literally phenomenal. From the crunchiness and freshness of the broccoli to the succulent tender juicer lobster, everything was divine.
It is situated slightly away from the noise and overcrowded restaurants / saloons on Broadway. The place is quiet and very pleasant. The service was great. The food and wine were superb. Their menu is much more sofisticated than just standard burgers. The patrons could sit at the tables or at the bar. I had a very pleasant experience.
The food and atmosphere was amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about this place but our waiter Steve was extraordinary!! He made our experience there even better. We will be back to visit the next time we’re in Nashville.
By far, hands down, by a million miles the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life. I booked a reservation for my wife’s birthday and was welcomed by a warm, gentle smile of our waiter Steve R. He immediately wished my wife a happy birthday. Having never been to this restaurant before, Steve was very informative and went over the menu and offered recommendations. We completely put our trust in him and had a magical experience. The food was 10/10. Everything was literally so good it shocked us with every bite. Like, how can this be so good! But on top of that, it was the service, Steve went above and beyond to make us feel special. Weill definitely ask for him when we return.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration with an amazing host, Erin! The food was delicious and the drinks were great!
Fancy upscale restaurant which most of us cannot afford. I went here as it was team dinner . Food is always delicious when its free . The dessert was huge. Chocolate lava cake and the lemon cheesecake were the two options. The salmon with sweet potato sauce was tasty. Chicken with pasta was good but a little bland. The shrimp rolls were juicy and fresh. The cheese platter had a lot of cheese , fruits and meat options. Highly recommend this place if your company is paying for it
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Rutledge, and it was an outstanding experience. The ambiance was inviting and the food was delicious, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Steve. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Steve's professionalism and warm demeanor really enhanced our dining experience. I highly recommend The Rutledge, and if you have the chance, ask for Steve—he's fantastic!
Decided to visit this place during my birthday trip. We stumbled across this place due to TikTok. We made reservations and were greeted and seated very quickly. Our waiter was Steve. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the food they served and assured us of how amazing the food would be. His service was 10/10 no if ands or butts. The food was very delicious and came out very quickly as you may know most restaurants take long times when it comes to your food coming out after ordering. I will definitely come back to visit with my partner. P.S. give Steve a raise or some type of promotion. Best waiter I have ever had!!!
We went to the Rutledge on a Friday night with optimistic expectations after reading other reviews. I was blown away!! They were debuting Chicken Parmesan on the menu and Austin, our AMAZING server highly recommended it. When I tell you it was the BEST pasta dish I've ever eaten, I am not kidding. I haven't stopped talking about it since! This restaurant has a great vibe, incredible service, delicious food and good cocktails. What more could you want? PLEASE keep the chicken parm on the menu!! I can't wait to come back to enjoy it a second time.
We had a wonderful dinner tonight at The Rutledge, and it was truly made memorable by our server, Steven. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, especially when it came to recommending wines and dishes. Thanks to his enthusiastic suggestions, we felt really excited about our meal. Food was fresh, favorable. Will be back!
Shane was the best server I’ve ever had. He truly exudes customer service. All of his recommendations from the lobster roll, drinks, and apple cobbler were all wonderful. The host, Dapo was super nice and so was the manager, Ashley, who came to check on us. We were first timers and this was the best restaurant we’ve been to thus far. I highly recommend and we will be back!
Had a great experience at The Rutledge and wanted to give a special shoutout to Shane for taking such good care of us. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service felt attentive without being overbearing, and Shane made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guest experience, which made our visit feel elevated and easy. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to anyone looking for a great night out.
What a divine experience. This restaurant is a short Uber ride from Broadway. The ambiance was high-end and the service was just as great. Our server, Kaden, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He offered suggestions when we asked and all of his advisements were great. The seating was quite comfortable and the drinks were perfect. Also, for a high-end steak and seafood dinner for 4, our bill was just over $200 which is almost unheard of. Kaden made the experience even more special. If we go back to Nashville, we will be sure to go back and visit this spot.
First time in Nashville and this has been by far my FAVORITE and THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! If you are in the area, and even if you’re not, THE RUTLEDGE IS A MUST VISIT! You will not be disappointed! Dapo and Shane have made this experience nothing short of amazingggg! They were both very welcoming, friendly, and made us feel like we were friendss rather than just guest and that was majorrrr! Shane went ABOVE and beyond for us as our server and I mean he is probably the best bartender that I have encountered in a whileeee and we really appreciated it! Shane even gave us a list of place we should visit while we are here, TALK ABOUT GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Ashley the manager even stopped by to say hey to us and she was very very kind also! We appreciate this staff so much! We will be back for sure! Maybe even tomorrow lol! Thank you again !
Wow! We had a party of four and we felt like royalty the whole time. Shane was incredible. He made us feel so special. We started with drinks. That’s better, Martini, the old-fashioned, and a strawberry margarita, plus our forth didn’t know what he wanted and Shane worked with him to find that perfect drink. Now the food!! OMG!! Prime rib rolls are a must. Lobester Mac, prime rib and Brussel sprouts. They made everything fresh and it tasted amazing. We will be back next time we’re in town!! You’re awesome and you was amazing to give you military discount
We had an excellent experience at The Rutledge thanks to our server, Steve. From the start, he asked for our names and remembered them throughout the entire dinner, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. His food recommendations were spot-on—the lobster mac and cheese, prime rib steak rolls, and skillet cornbread were all outstanding. Steve was attentive without being overbearing and truly elevated our evening. Exceptional service and great hospitality—ask for Steve if you’re dining here!
Madison’s service was friendly, professional, polite and prompt. Just the right balance of attentiveness. She made great recommendations and helped us have a great experience at The Rutledge. We ordered the steak and the salmon and both were great! We will be back and will request Madison! Thanks for creating a great evening for us before heading over to Bridgestone!
Wonderful experience with Madison as our server. We started with her favorite sushi (and now ours) and progressed to Tuscan pasta and Brussels sprouts, all of which were absolutely delicious! Only topped by the chocolate cake—out of this world!! We’ll be back!
Decent food, slow service. Nice atmosphere inside, it has a contemporary feel to it and I was excited to have a decent meal however for the price paid the cuisine didn't blow my hair back. Deviled eggs appetizer was amazing. Skip the fried green tomatoes. Sushi was average and their specialty old fashioned was unremarkable. Our server, Cheyenne, was courteous the evening of 8/19/2025 however she must have had a lot of tables because we rarely saw her.
We came here for our 13th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The service was absolutely top notch. Steve gave us a phenomenal experience, he was everything you’d hope to have in a waiter and more. We had a beautiful view from our table. My only complaint is that the food was a little on the bland side but still good. My steak was cooked perfectly, just not enough seasoning for my personal taste. Overall it was a bit over priced but still a great night
We had a very nice dinner here last night with some small lapses in the food and service. Overall, a very nice change of pace from the bustle and din of the chaotic restaurants on and off Broadway, it was a more upscale and quieter dining experience. Most of our food was great. We started with the lobster bites and they were epic; scrumptious chunks of lobster in a decadent creamy sauce on crisp crostini. Amazing start. Next up was their pressed sushi; sashimi tuna stacked with avocado & spicy mayo. It was beautifully presented and fairly good, but the fish was not as fresh as it could have been and took away from the flavor. Next was the spinach and artichoke dip, and it was a major disappointment. None of us enjoyed it, it was way too watery and didn't have the typical heft you'd expect from this dip. My wife had a seasonal pasta with Mexican street corn and it was heavenly, just amazing creamy flavor with the sweetness of the corn with a little heat to balance it. I loved the bites I sampled. My main was the filet mignon and it was a very tender and a specially rare medium rare cut. It was quite flavorful and while it could have benefited from some bearnaise, it was robust on its own and well accented with the demi glaze. Dessert was hit and miss. The lemon mascarpone cake was very moist and tasty but the chocolate cake was dry and flavorless, felt like a basic cake from a supermarket. Service was great throughout but there was a minor issue with the check at the end which they quickly corrected. Overall, a very good experience and recommended.
Upscale, warmly lit, modern interior convenient to Ascend Amphitheater restaurant. There is a full bar, and a short wine list. Good appetizers including Shrimp Wonton with a light honey shoyu dip, and Spinach Artichoke Dip. The Flourless Chocolate Cake is like eating fudge. Service was good.
Loved the live music and the vibe. The seared Ahi Tuna was delicious. The fig jam pizza had too much jam and was overly sweet. The couple with us had prime rib and said it was just ok.
We were really excited to visit, however we were disappointed with the experience. It was Sunday around 4pm. We thought the service would be better. They were not busy. Madison was our waitress and she was nice but super slow! We had two appetizers which we were excited to try. The Warm Pimento Cheese Crap dip was very good. We were disappointed with the Shrimp Wontons because we thought the Mike’s hot honey was going to be “hot” spicy but it wasn’t. For our main course we split The Rutledge Prime Cheeseburger, add jack cheese, fried egg, and well done bacon. The burger came out with Cheddar Cheese. We were interested in dessert. When Madison finally returned we ordered the 6 layer chocolate cake. It was good. We eat out a lot. We enjoy experiencing different restaurants and it is always a special occasion for us. We probably will not repeat dinner at The Rutledge. Very disappointing after seeing all the wonderful experiences on Tik Tok
This was my second time at the Rutledge in 2yrs, the first time being my 39 birthday and this time being my 41st. I have to say the first visit was the best, the atmosphere, the filet, the service all top notch and left an impression on me for a long time. This visit tho was not so good, as they set us literally a foot from the tables next to us where we might as well been on a double date! Any chance of an intimate dinner and conversation was lost on proximity alone to everyone else in the seating section. Then the food, we started out with ceaser salads that honestly were dry and tasted like grass. I ordered the filet and it did not disappoint at all! It was the only reason I gave this rating 3 stars. My fiancee on the other hand wasn’t so lucky as she ordered the bone in ribeye that tasted like we hunted down a cow and cut and ate it in the field! The sides of lobster Mac and bake potato were ok but nothing spectacular. Our server was great, just what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Needless to say this was our last time at the Rutledge, but we will cherish the memory of our first visit and move on to new experiences.
The food and service was just ok. The manager did come by our table and gave us coins for free Moet. That helped make up for the service. The drinks were good, and the ambiance was nice, but I dont see myself going back unless it was for a drink. Also, parking is pricey - no valet.
We were in Nashville for a family wedding and ate here. Food was incredible but noticed the place was mostly empty and no dinner rush. Service was good, friendly but slow - my parents decided to pick up the tab for the large group. Gratuity was included because we were a big party, and we thought everything was amazing until we flew home and realized the waiter had added an additional $100 tip to the bill. Be careful if you eat here.
The waiter raved about the chicken. I wanted pizza and he said their pizza is bad so I was like fine- I’ll do the chicken. It was terrible. Costco makes a way better one- for $5 for a whole chicken. It wa horrible. Dry. Super super dry, the skin was wet- not crisp- just disgusting. I told our server it was terrible and he said “yeah some days its bad” - why tell us to order it? 2 of us got it. Super overpriced gross restaurant. Only the ambiance is nice- unfortunatley I cant eat a vibe. My drink was $12 on the menu but i was charged $16. With no words just “thats actually what it costs” gross!!!
Terrible experience. I have Celiac Disease, which I disclosed ahead of time and requested their gluten free menu. I ordered a sushi roll that was marked gluten free. I was a few pieces in when I noticed the bread crumbs on top. When I questioned this, the manager came over to tell me “the kitchen just did it on accident and she will get me a new one”. She was SO rude. When I questioned the remaining items on the “gluten free” menu, she pointed to the small note on the menu and said “you see that? Gluten free.” When I pointed out the item I ordered also said gluten free, her response was “like I just explained to you, it was made wrong.” For anyone with Celiac, avoid this restaurant. It’s not worth the risk. They don’t care and they don’t have the knowledge to take it seriously. I will be sure to tell as many people as I can how awful they were. Steven, our server, was very kind and apologetic. But the lack of consideration on the front end and trashy management ruined the entire experience.
Unfortunately this place ruined my Valentine’s Day proposal . I was excited for this place vibes was great at the start we was seated by a gentleman that was very friendly and welcoming. From there we waited 20 minutes to be greeted by a server. As we sat and watched two servers in our area continue to walk by our table neither encouraged to greet us. After the 20 minutes we then was approached by Shane trying to apologize for what he described to be a lack of communication that we were his table. After this terrible service I just wanted to get out of there. I was hoping to have a great experience like the reviews I have seen but I did not experience them at all. This place made me feel like I was in the wrong environment
Unfortunately my first and last time ever coming here. Completely disappointed..first we talk in no greeting from the young ladies at the first desk, then we were not asked if upstairs was comfortable for us to sit but I let that slide..until the night kept getting worse. I watched an empty table get clear utensils while we had none, then when asked it was plastic had to wait for proper utensils. I watched the security guard stare at us and only us for more than 10 minutes every time we would make eye contact he would quickly look away. My steak was COLD and NOT medium well as asked, the young lady took it back. I even watched another couple next to me have to complain about the same thing. Came back with a new steak and it was medium rare! 2 steaks wrong. The mac and cheese was flavorless. The burger overloaded with onions…I tried really hard not to be a pain but a slice of “free” cake could have not possibly made up for the experience I had here.
