They also do daily traditional Fish & Chips (or Scampi) with a special offer on a Friday. Dine in or on the terrace. Ruskin's is easy to located as it is opposite the RIU hotel.

You can take the Irish couple out of Ireland, but we'll still look for a big breakfast. Ruskin's did not disappoint - the food was top quality and a generous portion. When I asked for the large breakfast without tomatoes or mushrooms they offered me a substitution for each item, so I had an extra egg and an extra piece of bacon. The food was delivered quickly and was hot (not luke warm) and the waitress was very friendly. Nice atmosphere and excellent value for money at €20 for 2 large breakfasts, 2 beers, and a coffee. Would highly recommend

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. So eine nette Bedienung habe ich selten gesehen. Obwohl sie zeitweise alleine war , wirkte sie nicht gestresst und kümmerte sich sehr ausgiebig um uns. Unsere Bestellung hat sich ein bisschen verzögert, da bekamen wir Getränke und Knabbereien aufs Haus. Das Essen war auch sehr gut und sehr frisch. Wir werden noch mal hingehen.

Stumbled across this place late in the afternoon. The owner was really nice and offered to serve us food eventhough we had just missed the kitchen closing time, which was really nice. The food was really nice and wasn't too deer. We will return if in the area.

I really, really love Ruskins. Food is great, drinks are fabulous, prices are awesome, service is exemplary. But all of those (important) points aside, more than anything the staff are truly wonderful, lovely, attentive, friendly and so welcoming. My mother unfortunately has dementia 😢 but the servers couldn't be anymore kind and accommodating. Seriously. Especially Catherine and Jaydin/Jaydean/Jaydeen?!! (I'm sorry chica, my spelling sucks!!!) It really feels like a home from home (and, this may make me sound like a weirdo, but the bathrooms are immaculate.... says a lot about a restaurant IMO) If you're in Nerja definitely stop by, even if just for a few drinks -- or the ab fab Sunday roast.... and yeah, I know, British food in every Spain, but, hey now and then it's no biggie, especially when an establishment so deserves the patronage. Max.xx (OH! and fab selection of veggie, vegan, gluten-free etc. etc)

A delicious vegan Sunday lunch. The vegetables were al dente, the mash was creamy, the roasties were well cooked, and the nut roast was delicious and perfectly seasoned. They even had vegan gravy. The only things that could improve the experience are the addition of a vegan Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese, which would be easy to do, and a dessert option that's suitable for vegans, which would also be really easy. There are a few vegan options on the menu, including a cooked breakfast. They also do oat milk and almond milk for hot drinks.

Amazing food, amazing service, 30 seconds from the sea, perfect place to enjoy some healthy, hearty food breakfast, lunch or dinner.. or all 3! I can't recommend Ruskins more highly! A must if your in Nerja!

A nice almost traditional english tea room that is a cafe/bar. Serves crumpets, teacakes and scones, as well as other english cafe food. So if you long for a bit of englishness then head for Ruskins.

We don't often go into the first place we see but the menu outside looked perfect for the picky teenager and so we came here for lunch. We had some really great food that was quick to arrive. My feta salad was enormous! The family really enjoyed our lunch here.

We went here on a recommendation and have to say, we were NOT dissapointed. I was craving a traditional English breakfast as the hotel we were staying in doesn't do an English style breakfast. Run by an English couple with English staff, it's perfect if your wanting a smashing breakfast with a smile. Highly recommended.

Although the kitchen was already closed as it was late at night, these ladies made us feel welcome and cooked us a beautiful meal with succulent roast chicken..it was so juicy it just fell of the bone. The waitress is very cheerful and friendly too. The coffee is good and prices are very reasonable Lovely end to a lovely day

The best restaurant we have been to so far going back this week

After a tough hike in the local mountains, the missus yearned for a Sunday dinner. Time was on our side as it was only 2pm, so off we drove down to Ruskins knowing fine we’ll they’d be open and their meals are always the talk of the town. We had been there previously a long while back. Bangers and mash for her, me, the veggie lasagna and chips. Well what a treat that was. Real good home cooking at its best. The onion gravy, she said, was magnificent especially as it flooded the Yorkshire pudding- the way it should. The veggie lasagna was cheesy, veggie and very flavoursome- top drawer! Lovely staff, very professional. It was a great end to our day of hiking the mountains. We filled our bellies well. We’ve lived in Nerja for 4yrs yet our friends are all in Torrox, so as a rule, we eat in Torrox. Time to mix it up I think, we have a gem on our doorstep, why wouldn’t you.

Had sunday dinner and desert both very nice with good size portions service very pleasant. Very good standard of hygiene throughout.On a personal level the music inside was a little to loud but just being picky really. we'll be back for more.

I like that you can get breakfast all day. We got the mini breakfasts instead of the full. Rounding up from 3.5 stars to 4 because they offer vegetarian sausage, which is nice.

A good lunch here. Two nice salads freshly prepared. the service was a little slow down to there being only on member of staff but she coped admirably & apologised for the delay in service & thanked us for our patience which was appreciated.

Very slow service,ordered breakfast with coffee but had to wait 10 mins with no drink ad they brought it with the meal.no salt or pepper offered and table next to us had left but the plates and cup were still there when we left. The staff seemed more interested in talking inside and when i went in to pay it would have been courteous of them to ask if all was ok. Shame as i went on recommendation but wont be returning.

Received a chicken curry.. it was inedible so I complained that the chicken was way overcooked. No reduction on price and left the place hungry. Will not return.. not recommend. Management was not interested.

I went in for toast with tomato and avocado, pretty simple, right? After 20 minutes I asked the girl to cancel it, she said it was already "cooked", I waited longer and it wasn't ready so she said she would do it as a takeaway. I was really surprised to open the bag and discover two pieces of dry baguette and an aluminum can with tomato paste. Come on, you couldn't cancel that? What a joke and where's the avocado? I wouldn't bother again..
