This is a very cozy place to stop in Gruene. You can not only get a great cup of coffee but also see a very smiling staff. Seating outside with your coffee allows you to see friends and new people to be met.

I went in today it was amazing. The nice lady who was working the register this afternoon was beautiful, respectful and very friendly. The girls behind the desk were hilarious and did an excellent job. When I did get my drink (I got a Lotus, they’re delicious) I stuck around and enjoyed the wonderful music and amazing homey atmosphere. Everybody inside was laughing and the place was full of chatter. The smell of the coffee beans is STRONG! 🙂 Overall I had a wonderful time and I would absolutely come back again… in fact, expect me back soon! And very soon at that! I really & truly recommend Gruene Coffee Haus, and I can honestly say it’s the best coffee spot I’ve ever been to in NB!

Honestly, I don't know where to begin singing the praises of Gruene Coffee Haus. From the Baristas, and Kelly the Coffee roaster, to the quality of their products and the awesome atmosphere! We absolutely LOVE this place. We're fortunate to live 45 minutes away. Anytime we're in Gruene, our favorite Coffee Haus is a "must stop". If you ever want to try a dessert in a cup, request a "Snickers frap". It's amazing! Kelly always includes the sweetest note when I order a large quantity online and have it mailed to the house. Stop on in or place an online order and give them a try. You'll be so glad you did.

Had the S’mores Latte along with a delicious cookie from a local baker. Delicious!! Quaint, Quiet & Clean. The baristas went above & beyond, cleaning & putting our coffee into the mugs we purchased & then cleaned, wrapped & bagged them up for us. We left as they were closing but we never felt rushed.

We stopped by on our cycle ride from Selma, Texas. I had a Iced Carmel Vanilla extra shot medium, it was soooo good. Niiiice flavor and the extra shot gave me a kick to fuel back to Selma! Stop by you won’t be disappointed 😁

Not only is Gruene Coffee Haus one of our favorite coffee spots they are also so generous! They donated all the supplies for mimosas for a fundraising event today. Goat Shenanigans hosted two classes out front with funds going straight to our dear friend, Jen, who is battling leukemia. I love when small businesses come together for a good cause! This place has a great home style/true Texas coffee house feel to it. Prices are reasonable but so worth it since the coffee is rated grade A in my opinion. Perfect for travelers, dates night's, or even just to stop by. Overall worth the visit. Staff is very friendly.

This place is not only amazing but incredibly generous toward its community. Today we hosted a Goat Yoga event to raise money for a local woman who is battling leukemia for the fourth time. The coffee house went above and beyond—not only donating the mimosas, but also helping in every way possible to bring this event together. Thanks to their support, we were able to raise more funds than we ever imagined. We are so grateful. Thank you so much for making a difference in our community!

I really appreciate the staff taking care of service professionals and the setting is a small relief to the Hussle bussel of work in the field. Coffee and baked goods reminded me of my recent trip to France with a fresh croissant. Definitely worth the visit

Such a cute place! We had a cinnamon muffin, maple nut late, and pralines and cream frap. So good! Lots of small boutiques and shops nearby to walk to. Lots of seating, in and outside. Great date spot!

Great coffee and quick service. Awesome location in Gruene with indoor and outdoor seating and free wifi if you’re hanging around for a while. Absolutely LOVE the manager, Jordan. She is fantastic with customers and does a great job running the shop! If you’re in Gruene and need a little rest stop or a little caffein on-the-go this is a must! One of my favorite coffee shops in town as a local. They also have some wonderful baked goods and must-try seasonal drinks!

Visited Gruene Coffee Haus today and enjoyed my lunch consisting of a warmed chocolate laced chocolate chip muffin and a medium latte with a heart beautifully and artistically topping it. It was so pretty I had to take a photo of it and the muffin. Outside of the building they have a huge George Strait work of art. They have inside and outside seating. I enjoyed my lunch and talking with the staff. I met Jordan, who is their manager, and spoke with her about my delightful lunch and some of their upcoming fun specials. Check it out. It was a beautiful visit to Greune TX.

Cozy, comfy, so many flavors to sample & choose from. Everyone was so helpful! Options in house or patio seating. They roast their own beans👍 & offer to grind them for you. They have muffins, cakes, and pies to compliment their java. Highly recommend!

I’ve legitimately been here one time and that was all it took. I have exclusively ordered my coffee from this Coffee Haus for 2 years and I’ll continue to do so. I haven’t come across coffee so flavorful in 30 years. It’s not overpoweringly sweet but also not bitter. Easy to drink black or tastes like a professionally made coffee done at home with a bit of cream, no sugar needed! The one time at the shoppe was amazing the folks were incredibly friendly. Every time I order there is a hand written message inside too which adds to the personality of this shop!

My wife and I came here so that she could get a coffee. She purchased a cold brew with amaretto cold foam. She absolutely loves it, and highly recommends it

I was pleasantly surprised! This place is a bit off the highwayin historic Gruene. The espresso is a bold dark roast(not usually my cup of tea ;). But amazingly well done. The building has the old world Texas charm and there is plenty of shopping in adjoining business. Give it a go. I assure you it is time well spent.

This Coffee Haus is my favorite. We just stopped by on our way from San Antonio to Austin to grab some cold coffee and a cinnamon roll. Our coffee was so good we ended up buying a bag of their Texas Pecan coffee. I will definitely come back.

As a local, this is one of my favorite coffee shops to visit. The coffee alone is great! They also have a wonderful selection of sweet treats. My children always love the decorated cookies. The setting is cute with some great shops next door! That's a win-win for me. There is space to work indoors or a patio outside to enjoy the breeze. Don't forget about some of the best photo ops right outside and also at BarBelles Boutique next door. This is a must stop for tourists and locals alike!

Great local shop! Dogs are allowed and perfect area for our pup to play outside, drinks are served hot or cold. Staff is friendly and affordable for the area! Love the little area they are located in, everything ing Gruene is literally within walking distance. We took the whole beans of their Texas Pecan to have at home, and it was quite delicious. The mini donuts were decent, but nothing to rave about. Personally the star for me was the Matcha Latte, and they know what they are doing! I a bit critical when it comes to my matcha latte, and this is almost exactly how I make it at home. I just home it’s actually matcha, and not the presweetened matcha latte mix… that would literally break my heart because I rave so much about this place and always look forward to coming here.

Such a chill place to enjoy a cuppa. The staff are friendly and the outdoor seating is nice and shaded. I felt comfortable to enjoy a whole morning here whilst my daughter played next to me. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a cuppa and have a relaxing time, this is the place!

The owner and staff of this coffee shop is unmatched. Not only are they kind, helpful and fun but they roast the most amazing coffee! I had the privilege of painting the George Strait mural at their shop, and they made me feel like family all the days I was there working.

I order their coffee online. Texas Pecan is my favorite, and I love that Gruene's is naturally flavored with the chunks of pecan roasted right in with the beans. I recommend ordering it whole bean so that you can see for yourselves. I tried a couple different brands but am sticking with Gruene going forward.

I have absolutely no criticism, this coffee house has plenty of seating, a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, and the coffee was perfect! They made my drink exactly as I asked, and the heat and flavor were superior to many other nearby stops. I will be returning regularly!

I visited this great place a couple of years ago while on a trip to Austin since I went to UT years ago. I live in Paris, France now and brought back a few bags of coffee for my French friends. I wasn’t sure if the Texas Pecan that was recommended to me would suit them, as they’re not used to flavored coffees, but oh my God, was it a hit! Years later, they still ask me when I’m going back to Austin so I can bring more back and I’ve kicked myself for only bringing back two small bags on that last trip. Fast forward to this week when I thought I would go online just to see if they perhaps ship internationally. I sent an email and almost immediately received a response from Kelly, the Roastess with the Mostess, haha!! Kelly walked me through everything regarding customs on my end and explained that they could ship to France! Not only did Kelly help me come up with options to make the large order more cost-effective, these beans were freshly roasted just for me and my French friends and arrived only days later in time for the Christmas holiday. Kelly went above and beyond and I’m really grateful. We will definitely be ordering internationally from here again. And hopefully I’ll be able to thank everyone in person when I eventually make it back to Austin for a visit! :)

Gruene Coffee Haus was my last stop of the day. The staff was wonderful. The service was equally as good. The coffee was as good as the service and staff. Such a nice environment to wind down mid-afternoon in Geuene. All I could think about is coming here (we're in SA) on the early mornings of a Saturday with my wife. Cheap and delicious coffee spot in the Gruene historical district! Lots of options to choose from and pastry items as well. A small dining area indoors but they have tables and chairs outside as well. Great idea to stop and grab coffee here before you walk around town. They didn’t make my flat white perfectly, but it tasted great. Pastries looked really good too, and weren’t too expensive - the Apple fritter was delicious. Seems to be a town favorite!

I have been ordering their Texas Pecan whole bean coffee from Indiana for a couple of years now and the last couple of Christmases I’ve asked if they could include 3 one pound individual bags so that I could gift it out to my family and she included them last year and then this year she sent me all that’s pictured! I was so thankful and just touched by their kindness! There’s always a personal note written on my receipt and it’s such a wonderful touch! This coffee shop always has great service. The coffee is excellent and the pastries are great. It does get crowded at the ordering area. But there's a back room where it's chill to hang out. I recommend checking it out.

But coffee is coffee and this place will still give you the caffeine boost you need to get through the day. Super friendly staff certainly make this place the little gem that it is. We stopped in at Gruene Coffee Haus while vacationing for our anniversary! I’m a Lotus drinker was excited to see they offer these energy drinks! They had a great menu selection that made it easy to order! The drink I got, I felt was a little overly sweet & could have had a lot less flavor. Next time I will just order it half as sweet! The combination was great! Just too much for me. The butterfly cups though, super cute!! Overall it felt like a busy/rushed place. I didn’t really feel exited to sit down & enjoy my drink there. For that reason, I gave the 4 stars!

Gruene Coffee Haus was settled is the most perfect spot in Gruene. It was decorated with Fall and Halloween decor! It was super cute. The coffee was also pretty good. We ordered their fall seasonal flavor and it we were not disappointed. We would recommend this coffee shop to our friends.

Not bad coffee but very hit and miss, I guess it depends on the barista and their intention. I had a Cortado in the morning which was just perfect, but later that day had another one which was a completely different coffee altogether. Nice selection of cakes as well and a great outside atmosphere so worth the trip but maybe without having too high an expectation for coffee. Best of the limited options in Gruene.

The list of coffee's, teas, and flavors is nearly endless, which is great! Very tiny inside. There were a total of 3 tables with seating for 2 at each. They have a center bar type table that only had 2 stools. A tiny pastry case, nothing to really brag about. I only went for the coffee anyway, didn't disappoint!

We decided to try Grüne Coffee House because of the great reviews, so I was honestly doubly shocked by the overall experience. The atmosphere felt off, and the service didn’t live up to the expectations set by others. As a matcha latte lover, I was disappointed to find they only offered a pre-mixed version — definitely not the high-quality matcha I was hoping for. The food was bland and didn’t stand out in any way. Overall, it was a letdown, and unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

This is a nice coffee house but the baristas don't have a very nice attitude to accommodate their customers' requests. My daughter is caffeine sensitive and she asked for a cream based pumpkin frappe (no caffeine). She had previously asked for this same drink at this coffee shop and the baristas had without any problems made this frappe. The ladies this time said that they couldn't make it without caffeine because all their mixes had caffeine in them. When my daughter told the ladies that this frappe had been made at this place without caffeine, they told her that that was not possible and that they would have made it with caffeine and not told her so. My daughter would have known right away if a drink had caffeine because the effect of caffeine is almost immediate. Any coffee shop is able to accommodate requests for no caffeine, so their whole attitude of making a big deal about not being able to accommodate a request is ridiculous. We will be finding a new coffee shop. This was a place that my daughter frequents with her friends often,

typical desperation coffee shop. they definitely serve coffee. I like a simple cappuccino but I knew I wouldn't get that when the very nice cashier asked me what size I wanted (Capps are just like. one size.) bless these workers though and bless all who come through thanks amen

Be very, very cautious when ordering pastries! Ordered 2 apple fritters. Cashier offered to warm them up--thinking they would be room temperature we declined. They ended up being cold and soggy. Initial disappointment that they weren't fresh turned into ABSOLUTE HORROR. Mold growing inside. Immediately spit it out. Checked second one, mold in there too. 4* for the coffee, ZERO for the pastries. Bake them fresh daily or manage them better please.

I live within walking distance of this place so I want to like it. However, (1) the coffee is mediocre. Other places nearby have better coffee. (2) The staff is not particularly friendly. (3) Finally, there is often a long line that moves very slowly. I refuse to wait 15 minutes for a mediocre cappuccino. In sum, this is a place for the tourists.

Coffee was great but the lady taking our order was not helpful at all. Acted very put out by having to help us. We were sitting on the rocking chairs out front and a lady setting up for an event of some sort kept coming out with arms full of stuff and loudly barking orders over us to a man then walking to the parking lot with the stuff. Mimosas I believe. Anyways, hope they do better!

The coffee was fine, but the service was dismissive and unwelcoming. I ordered a simple latte with mocha and toffee crunch (with half & half) and was made to feel like my order was “too complicated.” I wasn’t even offered the chance to order more, just rushed to pay and pushed aside. Meanwhile, other customers with equally “complicated” orders were treated kindly. As the only Hispanic/customer of color in the café, it’s hard not to feel like that played a role. To make matters worse, when Eric left a review, the owner’s response dismissed my actual experience and even fabricated a story about him being a “creepy older man.” In reality, he never spoke to staff at all — he stepped outside to take a call. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a pattern of rudeness and deflection, not an isolated incident. Unprofessional service and insulting responses to feedback mean I won’t be returning.

Went in today as a test. Girl making drinks was so rude. I’ll find out her name in the next few days. Should have been fired at how we were treated! I will be back…. Only to get her name and talk to the owner/manager! I’m in the business…. Terrible customer service!

The coffee is good but the woman training the barista taking orders was rude to customers and treated the other in training employee poorly. This was an uncomfortable experience where we felt we weren’t welcome in the shop. Friday at 9:30 am I wonder if this is the same employee that has caused the bad reviews lately for customer service. The businesses response to this review ignores that they made customers uncomfortable and seemed to focus on how they treat staff. Treat your staff and customers well!

I’m a breastfeeding mom, so I specifically ordered a decaf iced Americano. Unfortunately, the drink I received was mostly ice and tasted very watery, even before the ice had melted. I politely asked if it could be remade since it genuinely tasted like water. They did provide a replacement, but I strongly suspect it was not decaf. I couldn’t sleep until past midnight, which is very unusual for me since I normally get sleepy around 9:30 PM. When the replacement drink was handed to me, the barista initially called it a “cold brew” before clarifying that it was my decaf Americano, which made me concerned there may have been a mix-up. I’m very disappointed because for some customers, ordering decaf isn’t just a preference — it’s for health reasons. If this happened to someone with a medical condition that prevents them from having caffeine, it could have been a serious issue. I was polite when I raised my concerns in store, but I hope management takes drink accuracy more seriously in the future.

I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk and I can only guess that it was made with a pre sweetened mix because it was incredibly sweet. I would not recommend this latte to anyone who wants a legit matcha latte! Also, they charged $1 extra for alternative milk. I’m lactose intolerant and I don’t really have a choice in having to drink something other than regular milk.
