Great quick place to get a burger. Was there for lunch (12:30ish). Place was clean, the Jalapeño single and the chicken sandwich were good. The tater tots were amazing tho. Definitely try the tots. Service was quick, place and bathrooms clean. What else do you need from a quick burger joint???

I came to the New Hyde Park SmashBurger for the first time and it was a normal great food as I always experience at SmashBurger but the customer service I received was phenomenal. I was indecisive with which side I wanted with my chicken sandwich and the lady taking my order was very patient. While I was waiting for my order, I was surprised when Nelly brought it to my table. I haven’t received that type of accommodation at the other SmashBurger locations I went to. As I ate my food I kept noticing Nelly (the Smashburger worker) being very attentive to the customers taking orders, bringing the orders to the customers table and cleaning the tables thoroughly as customers finish dining. She worked so hard I wanted to tip her. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen someone be very attentive and hardworking at restaurant

You don't see many burger chain with high rating like this, and there was a reason. Everything I ordered came out so fast and so good, and the service was great. Not to mention how clean the store is too. Irene at casher was so kind and helpful guiding us through the menu. Definitely coming back!

I had such a great experience at Smashburger, thanks to the manager, Nelly! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. Nelly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect with my order, and you can tell she truly cares about the customers. She was attentive, professional, and created a friendly atmosphere that made my visit even better. It’s rare to see a manager so hands-on and dedicated, but Nelly really stands out. Smash burger is lucky to have her leading the team!

The place was almost empty when I got there on a Saturday afternoon. There were 2 people inside waiting for their order. The cashier was also the guy getting the orders. Nobody sat inside to eat even though the place was pretty clean and has a big dining area. They have customer facing kiosks, but they don't work for ordering food. I think they are there just to show store ads. It is nice to have a human interaction, though. I ordered a burger, hot dog, fries and some brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. The smash fries come with some rosemary salt on it and the hot dog has the bun toasted on the outside. I was surprised that the fried brussel sprouts have more calories than the fries. The most calories came from the burger.

After passing by SmashBurger every weekend and always telling myself, "I should try it someday," I finally stopped in today—and wow, I regret not coming sooner! The restaurant itself is spacious, with plenty of seating, and everything was clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and made the experience even better. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the burger. It was absolutely amazing—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and so flavorful that every bite had me craving the next. I also ordered the fries, and they were delicious too—crispy, well-seasoned, and the ideal sidekick to the burger. I don’t know why it took me so long to give this place a shot, but one thing’s for sure: I’ll be back way more often.

TLDR; burgers were good, don’t skip the fries! 9/10 Service : 10/10 . The cashier up front Julie was extremely helpful and patient. They helped me choose the best option for me ( I went with a double classic smash) and was more than happy to explain what toppings were available. The food was out quick which was a surprise as the last time I was here ~2 years ago the food took almost 20-30 minutes to get out but this time the food was out after 10 minutes of ordering Food: 9/10. The one MUST get is their smash fries, I have yet to have better fries than theirs. The burgers had a nice char on them but were still juicy on the inside. The jalapeño burger was a little dry and the flavor of the jalapeño was underwhelming. The classic smash reminded me why smash burger is the king of burger joints. The price for 2 burgers and a large fry was $27 which I thought was fairly priced too. The location itself was very clean and I saw the workers constantly maintaining the dining area which was much appreciated. I’m definitely coming back

Smash fries came out soaked in oil that was obviously not up to temperature. Napkin shows how much oil is being soaked up as we tried to pay them down. Didn't eat them at all. Burgers were fine. Also they had cherry coke syrup in the regular coke feed.

Very tasty fast food burger. The fries kind of remind me of McDonald’s with the size and texture but they are flavored differently. The ones we got were smash burger fries and they have a HINT of garlic and rosemary. One thing I will say is that the burgers were extremely greasy (hence the bag), not sure if they are able to control that though, assuming they probably use higher fat content meat (since it is a fast food chain). But overall I’d come here again but not too often, since I don’t want a heart attack lol. Since when did Smash burger stop making their patties thin? I got an all American smash burger today at New Hyde Park location and the patty was thick. Not only that it was undercooked and the fries were cold. I was disappointed. Won’t be going back.

Came here about two weeks ago and ordered 2 double burgers to go. Upon returning home, both burgers were haphazardly assembled and when we opened them to reassemble them, there were large flakes of burnt detritus that looked like grill scrapings. The large grill scrapings were mixed in the cheese and couldn't be removed. We threw out both burgers (sorry, no photos) and went to the nearby Shake Shack. 100% satisfied with the Shack doubles. This Friday we decided to give this Smashburger another try as everyone has a bad day. It wasn't busy on this Friday evening and the large industrial-themed space had about 2 occupied table. We ordered the same 2 double burgers and hoped for the some yummy burgers. Nope, same burnt grill scrapings, but less than the last time. Really wanted another option to shake shack, but this smash isn't it. We'll try 7th Street in Mineola, it's further out, but worth a try. This Smash location just doesn't want to make the necessary effort of properly cleaning their grills between each order. Service is ok as the orders are there when we arrive, but burnt grill scrapings aren't acceptable and they're probably carcinogenic as well. Sad, we came here pretty often during COVID and the burgers used to be pretty good.
