Great spot for tasty Italian food! Went here with some friends for our conference as they were feeling for something a little more upscale The pasta was perfectly cooked. Al dente with a nice chewiness to the pasta. Friend also ordered a pizza which looked great with the cheese on top. The spot definitely gives off fine dining vibes with the interior and being connected to the Roosevelt hotel, you know the experience will be elevated Service was amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and we had some great conversations with her. I cannot remember her name though, but I think that she knows how to streamline her work and make it very efficient! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content
Stopped in before a show for an early lunch and was treated to wonderful experience with an outside window view from The Roosevelt. Ordered a meatball pizza and a fantastic crawfish cheese appetizer. And there's complimentary bread with olive oil... who can resist that! Fantastic all around.
Domenica is a very posh restaurant. It's welcoming and the staff is hospitable. We came through for the first time and everyone from the host to the person who pours your water gave great service. The squid pasta and banana dessert was given 5 stars by my table mate. The charcuterie was the best. They didn't rush us. The place is beautiful.
Phenomenal celebratory meal tonight with my husband. We started with the Meatballs & Polenta which was amazing. The seasonings & cheesy polenta were amazing. We had the Caesar & Verti salads, both were fantastic. I had the Margarita pizza and hubby ordered the Squid Ink Pasta with Crab. The pasta was lemony & a little zingy with peppers, so fresh and tasty. My pizza was very good but the abundance of scorched flour on the crust was a turn off. Other than that, our first visit was amazing. Alena, our server was fantastic & super friendly.
I absolutely love this place! It was so nice sitting by the wide front windows by the natural light. Our waiter gave so many great recommendations and conversation, made me feel super comfortable. * The Strawberry Bellini was was on point. * The charcuterie was beautifully executed * The Calaberese pizza exceeded my expectations and is a must have There's nothing I didn't like about this restaurant, and it honestly made me wish I actually live in the area.
🫶🏼 Aside from seeing Taylor Swift herself, this restaurant was the most positive experience we had in New Orleans. My partner and I had a difficult start to our trip. We were unable to see Taylor Swift on our first night due to a ticket issue. Our hotel was unsanitary, had a roach infestation, and smelled of cigarettes. My partner was quite upset as our highly anticipated trip was not going well. In an attempt to improve her mood, I made a reservation at Domenica's. While trying to comfort my partner, I hastily explained the situation in the reservation notes without giving it much thought. I had forgotten about doing so. Upon our arrival, the hostess discreetly informed me that they had seen my message and would ensure that her evening improved. The staff and our waiter went above and beyond to make her feel better. He was able to lift her spirits with his humor. They collaborated to ensure that our trip took a turn for the better. The Italian cuisine was possibly the best we have ever had. The presentation and taste were exceptional. The ambiance was beautiful. I was speechless. I am deeply grateful to everyone who works there for making this the most blessed trip we had. ❤️
We went here for a little bit of a break from Cajun/Creole cuisine on our trip, but it was really really good! We got the Roasted (whole!) Cauliflower and Arancini to start, which was nice, and the Lasagna and Rigatoni for main, which were both great - I did take some back to the hotel with me! The standout was our server, Rivers, who was absolutely amazing. Great service, attentive but not pushy, and also brought out a cake for me for my birthday!
We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The cuisine is upscale Neapolitan Italian. I loved the fried kale, but it’s been removed from the menu. Everything we have had is very fresh and well prepared. They have a wide variety of cheeses and phenomenal cheese boards. The pizza is delicious though not the red sauce style many people are use to. Great service and a lovely atmosphere.
Everything was wonderful. What I liked the most is that even if you want something off the menu it’s not a problem at all, they will manage in the kitchen and find a way to make it for you! We enjoyed the food and our time there. Totally recommend this place! P.S. I don’t remember the exact name of the wine. It’s one of these Muscat wines and it’s delicious!
This was worth all the money. Our server was so great! Very friendly and had so many good recommendations. He also helped with the wine pairing. The food was incredible. We shared a pizza and had a pasta dish each after. Ended the night with a cocktail and a Affogato. The music was really good, and at a good volume. We really enjoyed this dinner.
Domenica was fantastic Italian food. Our group of 2 adults and 3 kids all loved the food. The best dish was the 3-tier charcuterie board, with a delicious variety of cheeses. The pizza was excellent, with olives and capers giving it a nice flavor boost. The tiramisu was different from the usual—more liquid than expected, but still tasty. Great restaurant, highly recommend!
Went for dinner and started with a charcuterie board. We ordered the Prosciutto, Mortadella and Parmigiano Reggiano. Everything was excellent. Serving the standard ciabatta bread instead of the fried dough would have been great. The fried dough was good but the regular bread served warm would have been equally good. The lasagna and cacio y pepe were both quite good and should not be overlooked. Service was attentive and available exactly when required. The atmosphere of the facility was nice, but hardly matters when the quality of the food and service is where it's supposed to be. At Domenica, they hit the food quality and service, the location could be anywhere.
A fantastic dinner!! If you are looking for a good Italian dinner around the French Quarter, you have to visit Domenica Food: delicious! From the Caesar salad, meatball appetizer to the lasagna. It was all delicious!! Service: everyone was friendly. Our waiter was great and super attentive Atmosphere: elegant Highly recommend
I took the family to see the Christmas lights at the Roosevelt hotel. The decorations are so worth it. Now, the restaurant was full but the bar has an area in the corner with a table big enough for our family of 5. Three are the children. It for not have a bar atmosphere. Of course this was a lunch hour. Do I don't know if the atmosphere might change at night during supper. The waiter and hostess were very accommodating and friendly. Food was nice. But the atmosphere was the best experience for the family. We parked down the road. It wasn't hard to leave the vehicle in the garage. The staff was also helpful and it was cheaper than the parking spots or lots. But you need to check your map and gps if you want to know what and where you're going. Because the streets are one way in many cases and you can't just turn left everywhere in canal Street
Participated in a private event. We walked through the kitchen to applause to a private setting that was incredible. I will add our private menu in the pictures. The appetizers were amazing. The meatballs and pizza were my favorites along with the red shrimp. The main dish was fish and it was cooked to perfection. The service was top notch man you can beat a private event with so much food🤯. Enjoy the picture.
Best Pizza and Pasta we've had in a long time! The margarita pizza rivals our favorite in Italy. The Rigatoni pasta is outstanding. Our server, River, was so helpful and efficient. We were in a bit of a hurry and he made sure we had a wonderful time. Great atmosphere for date night or family dinner.
We went here multiple times while staying at the hotel for a conference. Each time we found the place clean, the staff courteous, and the food good. Every time we were there it appeared to be a popular place. The atmosphere is also welcoming. The thin crust pizza they serve is really good and makes a great late night snack. One of the better restaurants we have been to in NOLA. If you haven’t been here, you should go. If you have been here then you need to go back. We know we will!
Divine. Ate here for one of our dinners during our honeymoon and loved it. The service was excellent and the food was on another level. The whipped feta with the arancini was incredible, creamy and salty. We both fell in love with the pate and the jam that came with it. I almost licked it clean. The lasagna was ooey gooey and everything a lasagna should be. The big surprise was the calabrese half of our split pizza. The olives were the best part and my husband and I don't even like green olives. It was so good that our last night in town we ordered a full calabrese pizza and pate to go and ate it in bed in our hotel room. Heaven. The cannoli with pistachios were amazing as well. 🤤
My first time, I was serviced by Heather. She’s a star who truly knows hospitality, and Alessandro was great too. Tonight, Jessica the host welcomed me like family, and Lydia provided amazing service. Delilah’s professionalism and care keep me coming back. The shrimp, Caesar salad, and hazelnut pudding are some of the best in town. Boris, you have a wonderful team, and it really shows your commitment to the community. Thank you
The squid ink pasta and lasagna was balanced and complex, the best I've had. Calm low lit upscale atmosphere inside a beautiful building. The complimentary little chocolates at the end were a lovely touch. Only thing that was a negative was that they asked if I had a reservation and did not so sat at the bar which was a little cramped and watched several tables sit there unused within. The 2 hours we were there but not their fault as much as maybe people reserving and not canceling. Also server took our plates without asking if we were done and we had salad and bread we wanted to finish. Still a great experience and impeccable attention to detail with food prep.
We stopped for diner by that restaurant spontaneously and were surprisingly happy with the place. The food was full of different tastes, atmosphere was beyond comfortable and relaxing. And the biggest appreciation goes to our waitress. She got exactly what we needed and delivered the way we desired. Quick. Professional. Welcoming. Unfortunately, they ran out of the cannoli, so we decided to come back the day after and still had no chance to taste them. Next time then 🤭 The lunch service wasn't that professional tho.
If you like cacio e pepe, I highly recommend the tonnarelli! The roasted cauliflower with whipped feta was outstanding, and the chocolate tort with wine-marinated peaches was delicious. The Caesar salad was great too (it's the only thing I got a picture of because I was too excited about the rest of the meal). Our server Leah was very sweet and accommodating!
The atmosphere at Domenica was absolutely amazing warm, vibrant, and full of that welcoming Southern charm. Our waitress was phenomenal, incredibly attentive, friendly, and gave us excellent recommendations that were spot on every time. I started with a Caesar salad, enjoyed a beautifully cooked swordfish entrée that was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and had one of their fresh, creative cocktails it was such a great pairing. To finish, I tried the banana dessert and honestly, it was to die for. The perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal. If you’re in New Orleans and looking for great food, fantastic service, and a classy yet comfortable vibe, Domenica is a must-visit!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans! I’ve had a group dinner here during my bachelorette party, hosted a work dinner in their private room (you get to walk through the kitchen which was random but fun), and made a point to go with a friend or colleague on other occasions I’ve been in town. I love their whipped ricotta, meatball, and cauliflower appetizers & often order them for the table. I’ve had both their pizzas and pastas — both are great but a slight preference for the pizzas. It’s located in the Roosevelt Hotel so you have to walk through their beautiful lobby to get to the bathrooms. Not an issue, but just worth mentioning. I’ve had a wonderful experience each time I’ve come here - from the delicious food to the warm hospitality. If you’re on the fence, definitely check out Domenica!
We were seated immediately. The appetizer was delivered promptly and our pizza was timed well after we finished the appetizer. Both were very tasty.
Great experience for lunch today. Von was our server - excellent. Food is delicious and priced well. They do a lot of small things right which really elevates the experience. For example: taking food away to box it and splitting entrees before bringing them when asked. They have a kids menu, high chairs, and booster seats. Will be back!
Overall incredible experience. Our server Michael was exceptional, really going above & beyond. The food was incredible, steak cooked and seasoned perfectly & the cacio pep was *chefs kiss*. Our toddler (very picky) ate a lottttt of her pasta & the steak so I know it was good. Also the drinks were delish. No complaints, all around wonderful & will be back for sure.
Very loud when we got there but actually cleared out quickly. Our waitress, Heather, was absolutely fantastic! We got the charcuterie tower and a pizza. Both were phenomenal.
It's the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. What else do you expect? The pasta was perfect, the pizza was perfect, even the water came in it's own hand crafted bottle! Delicious!!
Stopped by for a quick lunch. Service was IMMACULATE. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and professional. Felt very welcomed and taken care of. Thanks Michael (+ the guy who took my order; sorry, I missed your name 😅) for the wonderful bar experience! Caesar salad 10/10. Aperol spritz 10/10. Pizza was my least favorite 6/10.
Domenica was excellent from start to finish. The service was friendly and on top of everything, and the food really delivered. The lasagna was the standout for us. Rich, comforting, and perfectly done. We also had the cavatelli with rabbit, which was fantastic and something a little different in the best way. Everything came out timed well and you could tell a lot of care went into each dish. Shoutout to Chef Phil and the entire team for a great experience. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.
My friend and I went during happy hour and had an amazing time. All the food was soo delicious (we got pizza and the ciabatta), and the drinks were great as well. Happy hour made pizzas and select drinks half off, which was awesome! The waitress also was super nice and helpful. 10/10 would go again!
This was a phenomenal experience. I didn’t personally pay for the meal, so I can’t speak to the cost, but what a treat. I would absolutely love to return and order from the full menu, making my own selections. I would definitely get the ribeye again. We dined as a business group of 19 in a private room with a limited menu. While the room itself was small and echoed, making it louder at times, the food and service were superlative—truly top notch, A+++. We started with the Tutto Carne pizza and meatballs. The pizza crust and flavor were outstanding—you could immediately tell the dough was homemade. The wood-fired oven really brought out the flavors, and it wasn’t over-sauced, allowing the pizza itself to shine. The pizzas were generously sized, comparable to a large pizza at a traditional pizza joint. The server also shared that pizzas are half off during happy hour daily, which is great to know. I would love to return to try the margherita and white pizza, as they looked amazing. The meatballs were flavorful and a little spicy, served on a fancy polenta bed. I didn’t try the polenta itself, as I’m a very picky eater, but it looked beautiful on the plate. The Caesar salad was enormous—easily entrée-sized. The dressing was fresh, well-balanced, and lightly tossed, not overpowering at all. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye, and it was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It was cooked exactly to my preferred temperature, medium-well, and served sliced into 1-inch pieces, which made it immediately clear that it was perfectly and evenly cooked throughout—not overdone in the slightest. My spouse had the banana zuppa inglese, layered with banana cake, fresh bananas, caramel, and peanut brittle, and described it as to die for. Dessert choices for the group were limited to the banana dessert or tiramisu, neither of which suited my picky palate. I shyly asked if gelato might be possible even though it wasn’t part of the group menu, and Annie immediately responded with a cheerful “certainly,” offering me a full selection of their gelato flavors. The gelato was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, Annie’s service was impeccable. She had an underwaiter and another staff member bringing drinks, but once our orders were taken, she was completely on her own—and she didn’t miss a beat. She was incredibly patient and accommodating with all the special requests of a large business group, while maintaining a polished, upscale, and professional demeanor. Every hallmark of fine-dining service was present—including subtly refolding each guest’s napkin when they left the table. Truly exemplary service. While this restaurant seems connected to the Roosevelt Waldorf Astoria hotel—which is equally impressive—it stands alone as a must-dine destination when visiting New Orleans.
Stopped by here on a Sunday night, our last night in NOLA. Our server Heather was amazing! She recommended a great bottle of red wine, and helped us choose a pizza and a pasta to share. We had the pizza Bianca which had perfectly roasted garlic on top, and lasagne with house made noodles in it. Perfectly balanced. Do yourself a favor and check it out! Ask for Heather. 🫶
Domenica is a consistent 5-star experience across the board, food, drinks, and atmosphere never miss. What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional service, starting the moment you walk in the door. At the heart of it all are the incredible hostesses, especially Jessica F. From her warm smile to her effortless ability to keep everything running smoothly, Jessica sets the tone for the entire experience. With over 20 years in the service and hospitality industry myself, I can honestly say this level of care is rare. She makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed and sends you off just as warmly. This is Southern hospitality at its absolute finest, and Jessica is one reason we keep coming back ( the clam and white pizzas also slap).🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Muy buena comida a un precio razonable. Trato muy amable.
Excelente comida.

hermoso lugar y excelente servicio
Lo recomiendo si van a New Orleans.
Place is beautiful and relaxing. At first I thought they were going to give us free bread because you’ll have an olive oil on your table but no, there’s no free bread like other Italian restaurants:( I ordered a margherita pizza and it was DELICIOUS! 100% recommended. My boyfriend ordered an Amatriciana pasta and I have to be honest it wasn’t good:( so I wouldn’t recommend that one. Overall we had a good experience!
The food and service were satisfactory, but the atmosphere truly stood out—absolutely amazing. I recommend making reservations if possible, as the vibrant setting is clearly popular. I got the Squid Ink Tagliolini and the Cavatelli, and after eating both, I would recommend the Cavatelli. An excellent destination for those seeking a memorable ambiance alongside a solid dining experience.
Visited this pretty restaurant inside The Roosevelt Hotel where we are staying for lunch. Ambience was elegant and restaurant was very clean. Of course there’s a full bar and extensive wine list. Absolutely loved the lasagna. The shrimp pasta dish was delicious. The squid ink tagliatelle was not good. It lacked flavor and had barely any crab in it. I almost went down to a 3 star because the restaurant was far from packed yet the service was very slow. Took a long time to be greeted and we were constantly looking for our server and you’d expect more from a restaurant inside the famous Waldorf Astoria. I do recommend and would return.
You must order the ciabatta! I could eat it daily! We ordered two pasta dishes and three pizzas. All were good. Pasta portions are on the smaller side (to be expected) - fine for a normal person, but someone who burns a lot of calories should plan to have a full app and entree. The service was superb.
The food gets five stars but.....We had reservations. There was a glitch in seating and service obviously but no one explained. Finally got water and drink orders after sitting for 30 minutes while staff after staff walked by us. Our menus were prominently displayed so that they could see we had not ordered but no one took notice. We had to ASK for a server in this fine establishment. We were trying to be understanding as it was Christmas. Michael took our orders for everything and made the experience much better. We were looking forward to the fixed price holiday menu but it was no longer being offered. Thanks to the management and server for comping our appetizers and desserts. Merry Christmas 🎄
Overall we had a good experience at Domenica’s. Decor was nice but didn’t feel like there was much of an atmosphere (though we did go in “off season” when the restaurant was less crowded). The food was tasty. The meatballs over polenta were flavorful and very rich - the appetizer was plenty. The casesar salad with farm greens was our favorite dish. It was refreshing and light though I think there could have been a tad more dressing. The pizza was definitely delicious but didn’t necessarily fit our palate - very light sauce, creamy cheese and sweeter dough. It was good pizza, again just not our preference as far as pizza. Our waiter was good - friendly, attentive and helpful to answer our questions. Would recommend, just not my personal favorite.
I thought that the appetizers were quite good, especially the roasted cauliflower. However, everything here was incredibly overpriced. I think they try to seem fancier but it’s hard to be fancy when they have flimsy brown plastic chairs as seating. I got the squid ink pasta as my entree. At first the flavor was new, interesting. But after the second bite it got boring extremely fast. I believe that more lemon and a bit more salt would have benefitted the dish. Towards the third bite the flavors were all the same, there was nothing exciting, it was a muddled bland flavor. A little bit nutty? I couldn’t put my finger on it. But I was thoroughly disappointed. There were also still shells on the crab they had put in so I constantly had to spit it out of my mouth as a chewed. The “herbs” were parsley and mint. I think they look nice for display but they should have been chopped up since it really messed with the eating part of the dish. Overall impression: unimpressed.
The Margherita pizza and shrimp appetizer were delicious—especially the shrimp, which were outstanding. The truffle pasta, however, was just okay and felt overpriced. The wine was excellent, but our pasta arrived about an hour after we were seated due to a service error. (First they got a fish after 50 mins which we never ordered) We even had to refill our own wine, which was surprising given the restaurant’s upscale setting. There were no apologies from the staff for the late arrival for the pasta (1 h late) Overall, I’d recommend better coaching for the servers and a revisit of the truffle pasta recipe. There’s great potential here, but the experience didn’t fully match the luxury vibe.
I ordered from Uber eats. I was extremely disappointed to get barely any pasta and 2 meatballs for the dish (spaghetti and meatballs). The pasta that was there was not that good either. The chocolate hazelnut dessert was delicious though.
Extremely disappointing experience overall. Despite having a reservation and arriving 10 minutes early, we were made to wait without any clear explanation. We were told that tables were reserved for parties of 8 and 4, yet when we asked about our table, we were repeatedly told it was “still being prepared. For table of 6. The situation felt unfair and uncomfortable, and honestly gave us the impression of possible racial bias in how guests were being treated. What made it worse was the attitude at the front desk — the lady handling reservations was not courteous at all and showed little interest in resolving the issue or communicating politely. That said, the food itself was delicious, and once we were seated, our server was kind, patient, and took the time to explain the dishes, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, front-desk management and the handling of reservations overshadowed what could have been a much better dining experience.
The location is really cute and the decor/vibes are great — definitely the highlight of the experience. The fresh bread was delicious. Unfortunately, the entrees were pretty subpar for the price. The pizza was a lot better than the pasta, but still not quite enough to justify the cost. On top of that, it was $4 per Coke with no refills, which felt unreasonable. Our waitress also seemed to rush us the entire time, even though there were plenty of open tables and the restaurant wasn’t busy. Overall, it just didn’t feel worth the cost, and I’m not sure we’ll be returning.
I do not drink alcohol and ordered a mocktail of a strawberry Bellini. A few sips in I became terribly sick. Apparently my mocktails and a regular drink were mixed up. When I brought this to the waitress’s attention, she redid the drink but I had to ask for a refund. I didn’t want the mocktail and I just spent the night trying to feel better. I thought management would visit the table but no such luck. I’d hate for it to happen to someone on a sober living journey or with an allergy.
Pasta cruda, mucha demora, porción pequeña y fría. No ño recomiendo.
