First off, gorgeous location. Only 2 servers working (one being the manager). Food came out quickly and beautiful and tasted how it looked. Thank you Minnow! 10/10

Must visit. My favorite dinner place on the East end. Nothing like it. Food is so fresh and so clean, so delicious!! The location is beautiful!!

We had a great dinner. The grilled oysters and bluefish pâté were especially nice. I’m looking forward to their happy hour! The food on their bar menu looks worth the trip. Great to see Tess at the helm!

The absolute best restaurant on the North Fork, and even LI. Thoughtful menu choices of line caught fish. Try the appetizer of Big Eyed Toro Crispy Rice for an amazing treat. The Crispy Speared Blackfish Almondine was a great, non-greasy spin the normal fried fish - crunchy and flavorful. We were surprised on arrival on a Thursday to find that they do Raclette on Thursday nights. It looked delightful but there were too many other good choices. The view is amazing and the cocktails are top class.

The best little gem salad I’ve ever had! Sitting on the porch watching the sunset eating crudo, I had to pinch myself. The duck was also insanely well prepared. I care about eating in a local and sustainable way, and when I find a place that delivers on those values AND serves delicious food executed with care, I take note. I’ll be back.

After 28 years in the industry i rarely sit down to have a meal and dont have something to complain about but the staff at the minnow is doing an absolutely amazing job. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was delightful and the service was like no other i have had in a long time. i am on long island for the week on vacation and i have made it a point to stop there every chance i get to enjoy a good meal or a tasty drink. From the minute I walked in the door the hostess Amy made me feel like i was right at home, the bartenders Lilly and Sarah poured the most heavenly spirits, and my waitress Sophia rocked the caz ba. I highly recommend the minnow fries and the duck Reuben but everything i have eaten there was scrumptious. So if your ever in the area i would definitely stop and give the minnow a shot. Keep up the good work guys you are killing it.

Kind, thoughtful, energetic service with delicious food. You can tell so much attention and care is invested into every aspect of this restaurant! Gorgeous views, lovely experience. High prices but that comes with the approach to circumventing traditional, destructive ways of sourcing food.

Food is delicious. Yes the prices aren’t shy but it’s nothing outrageous. Interesting dishes and beautiful setting. Only suggestion is to offer a chicken dish or a burger. I’ve had the smoked bluefish pate, it was great (I do prefer Captain Phil’s though), the fries are awesome, duck is outstanding and they serve Peeko oysters ice cold along with local clams. Awesome new addition to the North Fork. I have friends who go weekly and continue to be pleased.

Most thoroughly enjoyed our evening! After a hard day of work, our evening at Minnow transformed two stressed out individuals into a happy couple grateful for an enjoyable night out. Not only an amazing setting, but tasteful live music, delicious food, a fabulous wine list and impeccable service! Thank you… we will be back again very soon!

Been to Minnow at Galley Ho twice and thought it was exceptional both times. Starting with the view, and the ambiance you’ve already got things off to a great start. Then a superb cocktail (cumcumber Martini)! Next your choice of any number of delicious starters, and then on to the mains. Oh boy, try the Pasta with Zucchini! Our new favorite place. Can’t wait to go a third time!

I absolutely adore the minnow ! Everything I have had to eat is amazing. Lots of local sea fare and many veggie options too! The flavors are like nothing I have had elsewhere. Where you want to savor every single bite! The views across the bay are stunning and sitting on the deck on the gorgeous teak furniture is so idyllic. Whoever designed the place did a phenomenal job. I was told all the art prints were framed by a local framer and are all of fish that swim in north Fork waters. How cool! All the beers are local which is also super cool to see support for local breweries. I have been on a Wednesday for the regatta and on a Thursday when they had live music on the deck. The staff is all so friendly and the drinks are just gorgeous. They told me the strawberry's in the marg were from the local organic farm. There's just so many things I loved ! Kombucha on tap!!! Oh and they have a market in the back full of handmade goods, toiletries and beach needs and pantry food items plus lattes and pasties and breakfast foods ! Thank you minnow for being so fabulous ! My new fave spot

A phenomenal, sustainable and beautiful atmosphere with the best foods and drinks around. This is what every dining experience should be like. Other restaurants need to take note. The female owner has accomplished it all and huge kudos to her. John the Manager has created delicious interesting cocktails with a twist and the food is delicious and beautiful in a nautical and natural atmosphere.

Beautiful waterfront location with indoor and patio dining. Love the concept of sustainable, line caught fresh fish with a beautiful presentation. The scallops were like butter and tuna was caught the day prior by the owner. Great experience

E

Minnow is a gem. The waterfront scenery is as charming as it gets. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Great for a night out without kids or with, as plenty of space on the lawn for kids to roam. Thoughtful wine selection and fun cocktails to try as well. The fish empanadas and crispy tuna rice are two appetizer favorites and the spaghetti con crudo and fish almondine are spectacular!! Love the premise of the restaurant - to only serve truly sustainable, line or rod caught fish, and the freshest farm veggies around. Family favorite!

It’s amazing to me the negativity illustrated in these reviews. I don’t get it. We’ve been going there since it first opened and the food is delicious and creative and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. They always have specials and the atmosphere is very nice overlooking Peconic Bay. Most restaurants on the water rely on their location rather than quality but this restaurant has it all. When in you’re in the Northfork area do yourself a favor and go to Minnow and have an excellent dining and viewing experience. You will not be sorry.

I love what they did with the space and the menu (mushroom bruschetta is excellent!) since taking over from Case's Place. The staff is friendly, and you can tell they enjoy working there (kudos to management). I ate there for the first time on Saturday night and can't wait to go back for Wednesday night sailing races and live music on Thursdays. I highly recommend this new restaurant - it's a welcome addition to the North Fork.

My friend and I had an amazing dinner here a few weeks ago. All the food was fresh off the boat and beautifully presented. I decided to get her a gift certificate for her birthday. The GM Jon offered to personally drop it in her mailbox for me because I couldn’t pick it up. Then when I realized I had the wrong address he went back picked it up at the wrong house and he dropped it off at the correct address. I didn’t ask him to do this. He offered too and made sure she received the wonderful gift to one of her favorites spots. That is a true sign of hospitality. Thank you again. Can’t wait to dine there soon.

Minnow serves creative and delicious food and excellent fresh cocktails and of course nice LI wines. It is suggested to share dishes as they are served as they are prepared. Our group of 7 simply loved trying different dishes, each a surprise and delight. We saw a number of “ dock and dine” parties too. The deck is a superb place to sit and enjoy the water views.

We checked out this new spot on a Wednesday to watch the races. The view cannot be beat! Fun and creative drink menu. Their Negroni and Organic Strawberry Basil Margarita did not disappoint. We ordered several dishes. Lobster salad, smoked fish pate, and crudo. We absolutely LOVED the Crudo. It was light and refreshing with the perfect zing of citrus! We had attentive bartenders and our food came out in no time. Everyone was very friendly and answered all our questions about menu.

Fantastic! What a special meal with the most amazing views. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, allowing us to move from outside to in after the sun set and it got too cold. Every dish was delicious with an attention to flavor, texture, and presentation. The raclette (Hamptons Raclette) was an inventive, unique, and yummy addition! The cocktails were creative and well-made too. So great!!

I went to Minnow with friends and the atmosphere and food were amazing. We tried the tuna crispy rice, crudo, oysters, and salads everything was super fresh. We also got some specials: lobster and grilled sea bass with spaghetti con crudo. It’s a must-have for everyone. We don’t have gluten allergies, but almost everything was gluten-free. The grilled fish was incredibly tender, and the sauce was fantastic. Our server Naria was really helpful and kind, she made our experience truly memorable. The manger, Laura, was super nice and she explained the whole concept really clearly. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something really good. Plus, the view is amazing.

We had an amazing dining experience at Minnow. The best oysters and the BEST local fish! The servers were very attentive and the Chef Ana (originally from Venezuela) came to our table to chat and she was just wonderful Highly recommend it! There was also a guy playing the guitar on the deck at sunset which was very pleasant! We are going to go back for sure : )

An unmatched combination of bayfront seating, atmosphere, service, fresh ingredients and culinary talent. As with most restaurants service can disruptive and repetitive. No we dont need you at our table 15 seconds after watching us take our last bite to "clear the dishes" and then again a minute later.

Charming, perfect summer setting..... almost forgot the service is super friendly , cocktails are top notch, and the food is none too shabby. Blue fish pate, fluke ceviche, whole sea bass (weekends) or duck and fries. Icing on the cake; its too far to travel for most of the south fork weekend warriors.

I have been to Minnow many times and it never fails to impress. Its waterfront location is breathtaking: perfect for a romantic dinner, and just as inviting for a family outing. Aside from the location, the food is exceptional. All ingredients are fresh and sustainably sourced. Each dish is beautifully presented and cocktails are also exceptional. The restaurant often has live music, creating an inviting atmosphere. You can also go to their cafe for their delicious pastries. I've been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's aways a joy to return. Most impressive though is their philosophy and practice: they are dedicated to transparent and traceability so you can always know where and how their ingredients were sourced, which is certainly admirable and reassuring nowadays.

This place is AMAZING. We ordered so much food to be shared with my wife and another couple with kids in tow, and we had NO complaints. For children, ALL kids menu items come with a cup of home made ice cream to cure their sweet tooth. My wife and I personally enjoyed the cheese cake, The service was excellent and personable. The overall atmosphere, was beautiful. Great view, clean, organized, and my daughter made friends with another customer's child while playing corn hole on their grassy property, all while having a picture perfect view of them, to ensure there safety, and observe the joy they had. Luckily, we had took our friends suggestion to make reservations, and did just that as they were SLAMMED. Looking forward to coming back.

Wonderful place to eat off the beaten path. The food was delicious. And the server was friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. He recommended the proper portions for sharing instead of maximizing the bill and his tip. The water views were spectacular. And the atmosphere was relaxed. I would certainly going there again.

What a Long Island gem! Dinner was amazing with local, sustainably caught fresh fish. Everything that Chef Anna prepared was beyond incredible. The thought and care that went into each dish was translated into each bite. The atmosphere here is exactly what you would want dining al fresco. The back deck hosts a beautiful view of the Peconic Bay that does not disappoint. Rosalia the bar manager made an incredible spicy tamarind margarita that is a must. Our server Sophia was knowledgeable about the menu options and all the different varieties of fish and their preparation. Honestly, I cannot say enough about the food, ambiance, and service. This will be a restaurant to frequent all summer long!

In town from Palm Beach and was looking for a beautiful water front restaurant. Minnow was exactly what I was looking for. Everything from the atmosphere to the service was on par! The chef personally brought out our delicious food and explained the dish for us. Sitting right on the water we enjoyed a beautiful breeze and amazing live music with a server who was very nice and attentive but not bothersome. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for the perfect meal!

We called 30 minutes before 5pm on a Saturday and Jules got our party of 6 in not long after. She was enthusiastic and funny which made out experience even better! Incredible experience! Wonderful view of the water and a really cool vibe to the restaurant. We shared the special grilled salmon which was delicious and the roasted potatoes were some of the best I have ever had. Definitely give Minnow a try when you’re on the North Fork. We came over from the beach, parking was super easy and the kids menu has a smaller portion of the chicken Milanese Thant my kids LOVED and it came with ice cream from a local creamery. Strongly recommend!

Came here yesterday with my husband and I have to say this restaurant is going to do great things. The food and drinks were really delicious and unique. We had the Rhubarb Lime Spritz, Kombucha, Organic Strawberry Basil Margarita, Organic Mushroom Bruschetta, Chicken Milanese & Blackfish Almondine. You cannot go wrong with any of these! We were pleasantly surprised with the live music, outdoor seating, and the crowd at Minnow last night. The menu, for now, is their place mat. Minnow at the Galley Ho is AMAZING. Honestly, I don’t know what the people who complain here are even talking about—some folks will find something to whine about anywhere, but this spot doesn’t deserve it at all. The food? So fresh and flavorful. The grill specials are insane. Perfectly cooked and seriously some of the best I’ve had. You can taste the quality in every bite. What I also love is that they actually care about being sustainable. It’s not just talk—they really put effort into making sure the food is responsibly sourced, which makes it feel even better to eat here.

Absolutely delighted with our experience at Minnow at the Galley Ho. The vibe is perfect — you can sit inside with beautiful water views, dine outside on the deck or lawn, or even pull up your boat and eat dockside. We sat inside and loved the view. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful. As a gluten-free diner, I was especially impressed by how accommodating and informed the team was. The restaurant clearly cares about sourcing and sustainability — they feature local, seasonal ingredients and even spotlight lesser-known local fish, which I found fascinating. I had the burrata appetizer and lobster entree special, and the food was ambitious and excellent — on par with North Fork Table & Inn, but with a better view and a more diverse, creative menu. Drinks were also fantastic, with a strong wine list and some of my favorite tequilas like Lalo and Fortaleza. I was pleasantly surprised to find not one but two incredible gluten-free dessert options: an orange almond cake and a flourless chocolate cake, both of which were delicious, along with some truly great vanilla ice cream. As a summer local living just five minutes away, I’m so happy to have such a special neighborhood spot that prioritizes quality ingredients, thoughtful service, and a relaxed but elevated atmosphere. I’ll definitely be recommending Minnow to friends and coming back again soon.

The view is stunning. I ate alfresco. The service was great! However, I found the menu to be a bit limited. Which is why I rated the food with 4 stars. I rated the Atmosphere with 4 stars because there were a few kids running up the stairs and through the deck dining area a bit along side our table. They were just kids enjoying themselves. More appropriate for the staff to limit the fun to the lawn area. Lawn games are provided. Even a blanket is provided if you get a bit chilly.

S
Suzanne Placa

Let me start with the positives So the view is absolutely breathtaking, the food was very good, definitely try the sea bass, the drinks were strong and delicious and different. The service? Needs some work. There were enough staff there that we should not have been trying to flag down our server. For the price, they need to do something about the tiny little tables and chairs. People want to be comfortable when they sit to have a good meal. They kept bringing our food and there was literally no place to put it. Had to keep asking for empty boards and plates to be taken away. Overall it was good.

The food was very good with an excellent variety of fish dishes. The setting and views were fabulous and worth a detour. The prices were very high- $100 pp. incl tip.

Food quality is good but prices are excessive. The tartare appetizer on rice “toast” was good and original, served with a tangy ponzu sauce. Lemon risotto was made to order and perfectly cooked with the Arborio rice still have a firm tooth feel and good lemon flavor. Pistachio pesto was a tasty topping. However the fluke oreganata was disappointingly dry and overcooked. There was scant oregano flavor to the dish (as implied by the name of the dish). A sauce of fresh oregano, fresh tomato, white wine would have been more in line with my expectation. Service was friendly if somewhat amateur.

The place is lovely, really laid back feel I felt genuinely relaxed and loved the atmosphere. We were sat at a high top table and then shortly after another couple sat next to us. We waited for a server only for him to greet the table next to us first and take their order despite us being there 10 mins prior to them sitting. (Not sure if this was because they were a local business owner and we were just normal guests) Not the end of the world but definitely not great. We put in cocktails and small plates to snack on an sat for an hour before he even returned to ask about entrees or dinner (we had to find another staff member to politely ask to put more food in) overall very fresh ingredients and I appreciate the restaurant concept however the price is a bit too steep in my opinion. $126 for two cocktails a $22 salad that was half a green apple fennel and burrata, $14 for French fries and $37 for the pasta entree with crudo which was absolutely delicious but very light for that price of a “meal”. I would return but likely for a light meal definitely not when very hungry.

Cocktails and oysters were great. The location was also lovely with the outdoor space. The fish almondine was also very tasty. For a seafood restaurant, the rest of the fish selection was a bit disappointing. The fish oregonata was very over priced for a fish that was drenched in butter and breading—it could have been anything on the plate, since it was coated with too much salt and bread crumbs. The service was also not great for the prices —after we were seated, the wait person greeted the party next to us and seemed like they were old friends. After that, we were pretty much ignored, and the other table had very attentive service. Dinner ended up taking over 2 hours, but not in the luxurious way. I don’t think I’d ever return or recommend to anyone

Gorgeous waterfront setting, tasteful yet casual vibe, very good food, not great service, expensive. This place, the old Galley Ho in New Suffolk, just opened as Minnow. It’s ambitious, in serving all organic/sustainably caught veg and seafood, but it’s not up to speed and has some issues. Our server was pleasant and eager, but clueless. We (2 people) waited 35 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink, and 20 more for the drink to come. The Grey Goose on the rocks with olives had 3 teensy olives loose at the bottom of the glass. We had to tell our server we were ready to order. Our apps did not come out together. Mains did. The menu says “we are a small kitchen trying to do big things. In lieu of coursing, our dishes are made to share, and served as ready.” If the portions were indeed sharing size, that might be fine, but overall, it’s just awkward when one person has their food and the other does not. Sat with empty drinks until we grabbed the waiter again. This place serves all organic veggies/sustainably caught seafood, and everything was clearly very fresh. It’s a concept we want to support. The black bass ceviche was good, although a more assertive marinade would be nice; it didn’t taste very citrusy. It was a bowl of lightly marinated fish chunks with a small amount of cilantro and onion. We added a few big squeezes of lemon. My clams on the half-shell were tiny; I think they should use larger little necks/top necks so we actually get a decent mouthful. The clams were not very sweet, so I can tell they came from the bay, perhaps even from somewhere to the west. Clams from our local inlets are sweeter. Mains were (put in front of the wrong persons) deep-fried tilefish almandine batons and fluke oreganata with a “petit salad” that turned out to be sautéed Swiss chard. The buerre blanc sauce on the fluke was a little too subtle and I really couldn’t detect oregano. Swiss chard can be tough, so if they’re sourcing local organic, they might want to specify young leaves for their greens. I’m fine with older greens as I understand their nature, but the average person might have an issue. I would not have chosen this if I had known the “salad” was cooked chard. I supposed I could have asked, but I assumed the word “salad” was being used in the usual sense. Overall, the food could use more impact, flavor and color. Some more fresh veggies, brighter sauces, some colorful garnish, etc. The foundations of the dishes are very good, though. I was not a fan of the glassware and cutlery. I get that the vibe is “seafood shack,” but the glassware is a thick, flared, faceted tumbler, and drinking a blood-orange martini on the rocks from such a clunky glass was underwhelming. The cutlery is mismatched stainless steel, and I get the aesthetic, but it’s that really thin, pressed stuff that’s kind of rough on the edges and not very pleasant to hold. The price point here is $$$, and for that reason, I think they need to offer more complex, technically excellent food, use better glass and tableware, serve courses together properly, and train the staff. I do love the intention, and I hope they improve. I hate seeing people with a great concept go under. The location cannot be beat on a nice day; get a table on the deck. I would go again if I saw a new thing on the menu that particularly appealed, but not during a busy time. The talk around town is that people have high hopes for that location as it’s so well-loved, and really, really want a place that is casual yet upscale, with good quality food and decent portions, high-ish prices okay but $19 a drink and $40 for a small bit of fish is not going to cut it. They need a regular clientele if they want to survive, because New Suffolk is not a large, walking village with an endless supply of hungry tourists. People around here have money, especially retirees, and they want a local place to get a nice dinner. This place will be fine in season, but winter will be a challenge. I suggest they be Minnow in the summer, and just way more Galley Ho the rest of the year.

Great location on the bay looking across to Nassau Point and Robbins Island. Our server took 15 minutes to arrive at our table and was inattentive throughout our meal. The charcuterie plate with meat added was $62 and not a generous plate at that price. I will say the bluefish pate was excellent. My dinner arrived 5 minutes after everyone else's. I had the spaghetti crudo. Theres al dente and there's undercooked. My pasta was crunchy. There was so much black pepper I couldn't taste the fluke pieces in the dish. The portion was ridiculously small and unsatisfying for $42. Overall disappointing.

Overall the place is fair. Hopefully the new owner will learn some basics and the place get better with time. A few items that could have improved the experience. Better management of music volume (very loud) Appetizers and main course came out same time. Inattentive server. I will try the place again next summer.

Stopped to check this place out was excited to see them grilling oysters and lobsters outside. I approached the 3 guys working the station and asked them what they were doing. No enthusiasm what so ever. Very disappointed to see now pride in the chefs grilling outside on the lawn. After reading some of the other reviews sounds like they have serious teamwork issues. They are new so I will give it some time and stop by again. Would have liked to email them directly and share my thoughts because the place has so much potential but there is no way to contact them on their web site. Who’s in charge take pride and lead the way put yourself out front. Had a nice espresso martini at the bar. Bartender was very professional. Was there on Sat June 8 4pm Best of luck with a little PR and out front leadership this could be a great place as it should be for the price

Setting beautiful. Overpriced for what you get, not enough seafood choices for a seafood restaurant. Service is mixed. Music way too loud. We won’t be going back again.

So we took my mother in law there for her birthday, loved the idea of the resturant so figured we'd give it a shot, love trying new places, but honestly we were all pretty disappointed, positives first though, place is beautiful, waiter was so nice, can't remember his name but he had cornrows and was the coolest guy, but here's the negatives, I understand the price for everything now is out of control, but this was crazy, we ordered crispy rice with big eye toro, and for the price I was expecting a dinner, the waiter brings out two little squares of rice with a little tuna on top, secondly we ordered duck fried rice, granted it had 3 slivers of duck and a little duck in the rice, but for $35 dollars I expected more than a plate of rice with some microgreens, the next negative, they gave us menus that were specific for that night, (which was a suprise) but we were there at 530 and they were out of 3 items, there was barely anyone in there, and it would have been nice to know they were out when given the menus, instead we order, and find out 15 mins later that they're out of 3 items, super frustrating to be honest, since they were out of the dessert I wanted, I asked for a coffee, and he looks at coffee machine and says sorry the cafe is closed, now I'm just done lol. I get it, it's a new resturant, give it time to get the kinks out, but good lord, it's a lot of kinks.

2 stars only because it's beautifully set on the water. Other than that, zero stars... I rarely, if ever make bad review online - feel free to see my history, but after spending 700+ dollars on lunch between 7 adults I have to say it was beyond displeasing. We ordered about 5 apps and each had a meal. Everything was heavily fried , the sides were lacking any flavor and a chicken Milanese was the most expensive item on the main menu... seriously should have known right there and then. I'm not a person who is difficult to please when it comes to food and I love to eat. I will say, my plate was not empty at the end of this meal and I was fine w that. 42 dollars for a thick single breast, deeply fried and a lame potato salad. Bottle of wine for 100+ where a simple table wine would have blown it out of the water. I will say the grilled oysters were probably the only thing half edible. For such a luxurious spot I expected so much more , they'd be better off serving lobster rolls and fish and chips. Seriously , not only that the servers were lacking...right when our apps came out within 5 min every Larry, curly, and mo in there we're trying to clear our table making it unwelcoming while we were just trying to settle in and enjoy our start to our experience there. After that, there was no one in sight! Kept asking for things, the bill, boxes... all those requests took forever. Such a shame this place is in such a beautiful location and the food is terrible! Not worth the money at all. Sorry folks at minnow, it had to be done. Can't let anyone else be fooled by you. I wish I had read the REAL reviews on here prior, no way are those 5 stars legit.

The service was deplorable!! Waited almost 40 minutes for a waitress to take our order. People were walking out unhappy. food was not good! Bread soggy no seasoning on fish! Wine served in small rock glass $18.00 for literally four sips who serves wine in a rock glass! Unorganized and disappointing!! Owner/manager was not overseeing staff! Our waitress was cursing and complaining about her tip from other customers. She should of realized tip was based on her service and to me not well deserved! I definitely will not return ! Not worth the money!

Table of 4, and we had multiples of the chicken Milanese and crispy almond fish. The chicken “Milanese” included no arugula (parsley instead…what???) barely any lemon and lacked any flavor as a result. Crispiness of chicken was actually quite good which made the lack of normal and simple toppings more offensive. At $42, it was about half the amount of chicken anyone was expecting. Moving on to the fish dish.. a fried fish dish that had almost no fish in it. There was so little fish that it was difficult to cut through the dish because it was fried breading on top of fried breading. Thankfully, the kind waitress (and all servers were super nice) was willing to remove the dish from the check and made attempts to make things better. Appreciate all the efforts for real. But the actual dishes were honestly subpar and I can’t ignore that fact.

Walked in..no one at desk. Long wait. Finally get seated..no apology. Waiter comes after 10 minutes. We asked a few questions about menu. He was clueless. Decent guy but not well trained. Most staff weren't and they all were about 25 years old and seemed completely uninterested. Train your staff. This place would last 5 minutes in the city. Food was good for sure but the way it was all brought out together with no room on the table was odd. Wanted to love the place. It's a great location and nice new decor but left feeling disappointed, especially for what it cost.

Would just like to start off by saying how nice this place is, there is so much potential, the atmosphere and food was great, however everything came out at different times. Our server was very nice and she did explain why, but seemed clueless as to the contents of the actual menu. We were introduced to the manager and I could easily see why service was so poor, very rude lady.

Very expensive and small portions. I ordered "Seared Sea Scallops" $42. I got 3 small scallops over a little amount of rice and lots of parsley to make the plate look full. My wife had the "Long Islad Duck Frites" $54. It came with french fries that seemed they came from McDonald's the previous day. From the children menu, we ordered "pasta with butter" $18. If I had counted them, I don't think there were 18 penne; that's a dollar per each one. I should also add that the food wasn't that great I would have given it a one star, but the view was nice.

The location of this restaurant is just idyllic, however, the food is just ok for the price and the service is just not up to standard. The servers albeit friendly, were just not attentive and doing their job. The kids menu food was very average at $18 for chicken and fries and they did not bring out the ice-cream that was meant to be included. I had to ask them to remove a margarita cocktail from the bill ($22) as the second drink was a replacement. The waiter from the oysters plate spilt into my drink whilst the server was removing our starter plates. I was made to feel awkward about asking them to remove this. We have dined in many high end restaurants all over the world and this was a very average meal unfortunately!

After listening to a band at a nearby winery ,we decided to drop in at Minnow. It was early 445pm on Sunday 7/6. No one was at the front, peaked in ,there was a party of 2 at 1 table and a party of 4 outside. That's it. A waitress came walking by FAST, carrying oysters away from a table, spilling the oyster juice all over the floor. That gave me pause. She didn't seem to care ,smiling she said someone would be right with us. So we waited. I guess it was change of shift cause I didn't see anyone. Finally we were asked if we had reservations. We didn't. But the lady went from one person, who went to another person all the while mumbling no reservations, no reservations. So they sat us at a tiny tiny table the size of a postage stamp, with tiny little wood seats. It looked so uncomfortable. I asked if we could sit in a larger table,No they were all reserved. REALLY It wasn't even 5 yet,we'd be out of there by 630!! And we are not large people I'm 5'2 114 llbs. My boyfriend is 6'170 llbs. When I say the chairs are tiny ,all I can think is the owner Andrea Tese has no respect for her customers. Anyway we left. After reading some other reviews,I'm glad we did.

We live on the south Fork, and we decided to go up to The North Fork for some food and hit a winery or two . As we approached the restaurant "legends" that we had intended to have lunch , we were met by the manager of the sister restaurant . the manager said why not try our other place on the water? My girlfriend likes to try new, places so, we followed his suggestion and went over and discovered his restaurant was situated right on the water with a beautiful views. the deck outside was full so we ate inside but still had a beautiful view of the water. . We looked at the menu and saw the prices were off the charts expensive. we were told the specials of the day, and asked the prices since noticing mostly everything on the menu was in our opinion highly priced. .. The waiter had to keep running back to the kitchen and ask. When we finally got the food and finished we decided to have coffee After our mediocre lunch. trying to find our waiter who was very hard to find for quite a while to order. Finally ordered coffee. Then once again the challenge finding our waiter again, finally asking other waiters if they could find our waiter so we could get a check. After seems like an eternity we finally got our check paid and left. We both looked at each other and both decided we would forgo a return to this place. So enclosing, I say, just because your restaurants on the water as many are where we come from does not give you the excuse to way overcharged for your food and services. good luck to you

We had been here at least 20 times and generally had 4/5 or 5/5 experiences but this most recent visit was a complete fail. Horrible service and food quality was not up to par. Waitress wax completely inattentive and obviously very distracted. We had to ask the manager multiple times for things the waitress said would be right over but never arrived. We used to really like this place so I hope they can get back to their old form.

The waiter and the manager were very friendly, and I love that they were supporting sustainable fishing. However, my bread was moldy. Even though they did not charge anything involving bread and gave us free dessert, the dinner was around 160 dollars for two people. Moldy bread should not appear in any restaurant, especially when it’s this expensive. This made me question their food safety:it could simply be the negligence from the kitchen, but I assume it takes more than a week for bread to get moldy. Also my risotto was undercooked for the rice still had a firm center that’s hard to bite into.

Easily the worst meal I’ve ever had. We were looking forward to fresh local food as advertised. We got spoiled, leftover, heavily salted dishes. Aside from service being terrible, and having to ask for our table to be acknowledged. They had no clue about any of the dishes. The bluefish patè was described as bluefish and “some other stuff.” Appetizing… $65 plates should be consumable!!! Dont get scammed!! Do better!!

Food was bland and undercooked. Oysters were anemic, hard to make oysters taste like frozen food especially on the North Fork. Service was awful, untrained and not welcoming. Drinks were watered down too.

This restaurant provided, simply put, the most bizarre and awful service I’ve ever received at any restaurant on Long Island, New York City, Suffolk or Nassau Counties or anywhere around the world. First, none of the dishes we ordered came out at the same time. First came my 3x overpriced Lobster Salad on Toast, which could have come from King Kullen’s deli department down the road without even the bread being superior. 15 minutes later, a bowl of pasta for my 6th grader from the kids menu. Following that, other entrees came out one after the other. The fresh local oysters were very good though, I must admit. We all tried to “grin and bear it”, not understanding how entrees could be so ill timed, but the strangest was yet to come. My family all ordered desserts and I ordered a simple old fashioned American coffee. By now, we were at a $400 dinner and very underwhelmed and quite annoyed. The desserts were nothing to write home about and I was given a half cup of luke warm old coffee. When I politely asked for a refill on the coffee (standard for just an American coffee), I was literally told by the waiter, “No, they told me in the kitchen that we’re all out and I’m not allowed to make any more”. I needed to say something at this point so I called for the manager who tried to make it right and did make a fresh pot of coffee, but such an initial refusal to the person paying the bill was simply inexcusable and bizarre. Take my advice and go to Legends or Cliff’s for a better meal and service, and skip the “trying to bring the Hamptons to NOFO” with no idea of how to actually pull it off. Not only was the service totally bizarre and insulting, at this place, they’re haughty, “hip”, they’re trying too hard to present an interesting and “modern” menu but fall short, they’re overpriced (although admittedly you’re paying for the view) and to top it all off, they are trying for a Hamptons vibe. Listen up…We don’t want a Hamptons vibe here on the North Fork. My advice- please take the criticism and change things or you’re not going to make it.

Extremely disappointed to find out they couldn’t seat after saying they would. Maybe have a system/cut off time for guests who don’t know if they need to have/ are told they don’t need to have a reservation. The drive is over an hour out from where my husband & I live.. Was about to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Will not be coming back.

I call to make sure you guys are taking walkin and you tell me yes you are to get there before 3 and we get here at 2:30. And we go in and you tell me you aren’t gonna seat me. That is the most unprofessional way of handling your guest. It’s rude, you need to learn second mile service. I drove a hour to get here because I was told I would be seated. Don’t even deserve a 1 star. Beware to all guest that want to go here of this.

Went there with family to enjoy fresh seafood and a the beautiful view as advertised, but received brutality instead. This is one of the worst meals I have ever had. The kitchen was outside under a tent which must have multiple OSHA violations. The waiters were unprofessional and knew nothing about the menu. When asked about the fish pâté they stated “it’s made of fish and stuff.” Do not let the scenery fool you, this restaurant belongs to the streets. Better to spend your money elsewhere than pay exuberant prices on this filth. If you have any self respect and/or taste buds, avoid this monstrosity because the food is atrocious.

We have been to the Minnow several times, but last Saturday was our last. I ordered a fish special that was explained as a whole fish grilled with a layer of salt. It wasn't a whole fish and was barely an appetizer. My wife wanted one glass of a sweet white wine, like a Moscato, but they didn't have one. The waiter said they have a small (1/2) bottle that provides 2 glasses. He made it sound like it was inexpensive and should have told me that the little bottle cost $84. It wasn't even listed on their wine list in which most full bottles were $60 to $70. I had a different glass of wine and the waiter never came around again to see if I wanted another, which I did.

Although the location is gorgeous the entrees are bad. The sea-bass weekend special was riddled with bones. You couldn’t take a bite without spitting out a piece of bone. Do not get the fish. We brought it up to the waitress and they did not care at all. They said yea it shouldn’t have bones in it - lol. No comp, no I’m sorry, no let’s get you another dish.
