I recently visited Chandni Restaurant for their $19.99 buffet, and honestly, it’s one of the best and cheapest buffets you’ll find in New York. For that price, the variety and quality are impressive. They had a lot of options, including drinks, fresh samosas, crispy kachori, and many delicious Iftar items. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful. The food kept coming out fresh, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. For just $19.99 in New York, this buffet is an amazing deal. Great taste, great variety, and great value. Highly recommended, especially during Ramadan!
Chandni Restaurant and absolutely loved the full desi chaska! The Iftar buffet had so many delicious options. Loved it. Especially a wide variety of sweet items that were fresh and perfectly made. From traditional snacks to rich desserts, everything tasted authentic and satisfying. The restaurant was very nice and clean, which made the experience even better. The staff at the counter were very polite and professional in their dealing, making guests feel welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a proper desi Iftar buffet experience! AND DESI CHASKA 🌙✨
If you’re craving real desi Pakistani food, Chandni Restaurant is the place to go! The taste is absolutely authentic — full of traditional Pakistani flavors that truly remind you of home. They also have Buffet. Their sweets are amazing, Ras Malaie, Different Kinds of Halwas.. so much and so on..
Good authentic Pakistani food. Love their aloo and Lacha parathas. Food used to be very spicy but they have toned it down. Great prices and options.
Accidentally discovered this amazing place during our trip to NYC from Toronto. On a cold evening was looking for Pakistani style samosas and tea and thought to give this place a try. THE BEST SAMOSAS EVER !!! It’s rare to find such big samosas even in Pakistan now a days, samosas were huge, perfectly filled with potatoes only, the krisp was so on point. If you are a samosa fan, give them a try you will fall in love just like I did. 10/10. Their Kashmiri chai was sooo good too, Will definitely be going back to get more.
I had an excellent experience at this Pakistani restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious—fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The service was beyond outstanding. Kajal, who was serving us, was absolutely amazing. She was polite, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Overall, the atmosphere, food quality, and exceptional service made it a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!
Chandni Restaurant serves authentic Pakistani food with great taste and quality. The biryani is flavorful, the kebabs are tender and well seasoned, and the naan is always fresh from the tandoor. Portions are generous and the prices are fair. The staff is polite and attentive, and service is quick. The setting is simple but comfortable, making it a good choice for both families and small groups. Overall, Chandni is one of the better spots for Pakistani food in the Long Island queens area. Highly recommend trying halwa poori
To start off I feel this is an under rated restaurant. They only have 4stars whereas they serve 5star quality food. At least the ones we ordered For appetizer we took the chat and it tasted so good. It had a little kick of spice which just tingles all your senses. For main dish we took beef chapli kebab. Which I will rate 4.5 out of 5 according to my taste bud. We also took the beef nihari and it tasted different in a good way. It had proper amount of spice and seasoning. We ordered garlic naan and plain naan. But the size of the naans were a little small compared to the other places. It would be a great addition if they add romali roti on the menu. I ordered Meethi lassi and it was superb. They actually have a very good sense of sweet. Like most other places they overdo with sweet items but this had the proper amount of sweet in it. For dessert we took kheer and Rasmalai. Rasmalai was top notch. Again proper amount of sweet. But I felt it was a little overpriced though.
I haven’t had the chance to try Chandni Restaurant’s main dishes yet in Valley Stream, NY, but their mithai and snacks are absolutely the best in the area. The gulab jamun and ras malai are fresh, perfectly sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The snacks like samosas and pakoras are crispy and flavorful too. Great selection of Pakistani sweets, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Definitely my go-to spot for desserts and quick bites. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic mithai. Can’t wait for an opportunity to come back for the full menu.
We visited Chandani Restaurant for their weekend buffet and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and felt just like a home cooked meal. We tried many items from the buffet and everything tasted wonderful. The naan was soft, the halwa was warm and sweet, and the curries were rich and cooked with care. They had a very nice variety. We enjoyed the Goat Siri Payee, Haleem, and Makhni Chicken, all of which were cooked with deep flavor. The Halwa Puri with Chana and Aalo was a classic comfort dish and tasted great. The chai was good, the achar added a nice touch, and the lassi was refreshing. There were many other options as well, and everything was prepared well. The service was friendly and the staff kept checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was peaceful and clean, and the seating was comfortable with plenty of natural light. The bathroom was also clean, which we really appreciated. Overall, this buffet is a great value and a great experience for anyone who enjoys Pakistani and Indian food. We will definitely come back again and recommend this place to family and friends.
Some of their items are really good such as Karahi Goat, Beef Nehari, Garlic Naans. We ordered Pani Puri, which is no where close to Pani Puri. Kahari Chicken is Average. We ordered chicken & Beef Biryani, not a good selection, test is below the average (not recommended). Their customer service is good but takes lots of time to prepare food. They need improve this otherwise customers will not come again. Ordered mix kabobs grill, overpriced.
I have very mixed feelings/review about this restaurant. (Sorry for the long review) I knew this spot when they were under other management as nawab restaurant, didn't get a chance to dine in after they became Chandni. Recently, I came across them on UBER while in search of a pakistani breakfast. So, I ordered 2 halwa puri combo, 2 lacha paratha, 2 naan, nihari, and omelet. I was glad with the order as their channa had that authentic pakistani taste, alo curry tasted amazing, lacha paratha was huge with good thickness and well cooked. Nihari tasted good, too. Omelet was well made, too. Portion looked appropriate, served a gathering of 8 well. And yes, there was some salad too in aluminum foil, which looked and tasted stale. We got hooked up and ordered breakfast again in 2 days, this time we went with 1 halwa puri combo, 1 paratha, 1 omelet and 1 goat paya, again breakfast was good, paya well cooked, portion wise bit on smaller side. I had family coming over for brunch, so I thought to order from them this time we got 3 halwa puri combo, 1 nihari, 2 paratha, 2 naan, 3 rus malai, 1 omelet and I decided to went in to pick it up. Here, I found out that they charge 3% convince fee if you pay on a card and no tax or fees if you pay cash. Let me tell you I was impressed seeing their wide variety of sweets and halwa, it gave us that pakistani homie vibes, i was super excited to see they have apparently pakistani style dahi bada and samosa chat available. we also got "akhrot (walnut) halwa, which tasted awesome. When we opened our order and at to serve, Chana, alo, and halwa portion was similar to the one we got with 1 combo, though it was packed in relatively bigger box (not that big to compensate 3 portions) but merely filled. It was an embarrassing situation where we had to share 1 Tbsp each of Chana, alo curry, and halwa per guest (among 8 ppl) where few days back with 2 combo order we had enough to enjoy with left over. I was still hopeful and wanted to continue with them, giving them a margin that restaurants do that as Chinese restaurants give you a slightly bigger box to compensate 2 free white rice with 2 curries. So, we decided to go back next morning to try/explore more. We got samosa chat, dahi bada, qeema paratha, tawa roti, and Mutton karahi Samosa chat tasted good mainly because their channa has authentic taste, dahi bada was bit disappointing, there was imli chutney but they didn't bother to add that upon asking for it we got sweet red syrup. Qeema paratha was huge but served without any yogurt or anything else to go with it (we usually go to mithaas for paratha and all restaurants should learn from them how to serve food with love). Salad tasted stale, Mutton karahi tasted okay, tawa roti was huge but poorly cooked as raw from different spots and had unequal thickness. 1st i found hair in karahi and thought it might be stuck with my shirt but on next bite thank God I saw hair embedded/cooked in roti. We all lost our appetite and all the excitement of finding a halal pakistani restaurant nearby who could serve our cravings, which we get fulfilled at Mithaas. I really wanted to become their loyal customer and support pakistani Halal restaurant, but sadly, it was a disappointing experience. We didn't mention it to the staff and decided to pack leftover and leave. Disappointment didn't end there. The container we got to pack was broken (i will try to upload the video). I would strongly recommend the owner to work on the quality of food and service. Be transparent and serve with love instead of cutting on cost, serving small portions, and gaining benefits. Restaurants should work on building a long-term relationship with serving constantly good. Hope you would reconsider and would work on raising your standards. We need good pakistani restaurants to serve our Muslim community.
I've ordered for the first time "chicken kabab, chana and naan" Honestly the taste is average especially the "channa" it's taste less. Looking at channa wouldn't seem it won't have taste. I could taste salt and extremely mild spices, the texture was good, just disappointed by the taste. I would suggest please look into your ingredients for channa. The kabab was bit more salty otherwise its good. Naan i would consider good. I wouldn't consider this place not to try at all, just needs upgrade to the menu taste.
This restaurant has a serious issue with staff neglect and customer service. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for a reliable dining experience. The atmosphere may be inviting, but the service is sadly lacking. I ordered over the phone, and about 40 minutes later I heard, “We never got the order.” Then I tried to order over the counter, but the two girls completely ignored and kept themselves busy gossiping and listening to AirPods. I tried again; one said 10 minutes, and the other scared me with a 25-30 minutes of wait time. I had to leave with nothing but wasted time. I am not expecting an apology note from the owner. I would rather see you taking action.
I was there for Samosa and China. The lady’s was behind the counter was very rude. I was asking. Is there any chutney come with it? She’s not responding and wrapping another food. I was standing a couple of more minutes and I ask again they were very rude, That’s why resturant have very low ratings….
We went there to have Chicken Karahi. It was smelly as hell, chicken was not fresh and they charged us 31$ for a Chicken Karahi and 2 Naan. Won't recommend it at all. As a Desi Food lover, there are tons of Good Options in NYC, with way better prices and fresh food. The way these people do business subtly, they do low prices for Chicken or Mutton Karahi but extremely expensive Naan, Roti and Paratha and that too with smelly meat.
It’s the worse buffet I have ever had. No veggies, salad or rice and the food was swimming in oil. More oil than food. No desert noted on the mini buffet serve on a Sunday. There were plastic spoons provided to eat. Totally disappointed. Will go back to my original buffet.
I ordered the food for my family for the first time but food is below average and moreover my bill was 85 and taxes they charged us $14 and all together 98 i recommend please don’t order the food from this restaurant. I’ve sharing the picture of the food there is so much oil in the food.
