We visited Ella Social for a girls’ night before heading to the opera, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. First, the service was exceptional. Geo was incredibly attentive and gracious — he even offered us a small wine tasting to help choose our final bottle. His menu recommendations were spot-on and made the evening feel that much more special. The drinks were fantastic, especially the martinis, which were perfectly balanced. We shared a variety of small plates — the octopus crudo, roasted cauliflower, Shepherd’s salad, croquettes, and potatoes — each beautifully presented and full of flavor. The dishes complemented one another wonderfully, making for a truly well-rounded meal. A perfect spot for a relaxed, elevated evening with friends.

Ella Social is by far one of my family's fav' spots in the UWS. Food, drinks and service are always impeccable. Recommend their octopus (always spot on), and they have the best chicken soup in the city. I'm afraid of writing great reviews, because then my fav' spots become so popular that then it becomes impossible to get a table; but Ella deserves it. Hope that the team at Ella remembers my name the next time I make a reservation, haha. They are the best! Oh! And thanks for the photo by the way... the manager happens to also be a great photographer, cheers!

We had such a good girl’s dinner on Halloween at Ella Social! The food is tapas style, and we got a spread of the Arroz, burger, patatas bravas, and arugula salad. All the waiters were in costume and made the Halloween vibe so fun. I would definitely recommend Ella Social!

Everything we ordered here, the soup, the sandwhich, drinks, was just delicious. The servers were helpful and attentive especially as we had a baby with us. Would highly recommend this place.

Had an amazing dinner at Ella Social! The service was warm and attentive — Martha took wonderful care of us and made the whole experience even better. Every dish we tried was excellent, especially the boquerones, which were perfectly seasoned and fresh. The sangria was also fantastic — fruity, balanced, and not too sweet. Overall, a great spot for Spanish tapas with a cozy, lively atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Ella is one of my favorite neighborhood spots in NYC. The food is always incredible. Arroz to batatas to pan con tomate - everything tastes fresh, authentic, and takes you right back to Spain. Their sangrias are balanced and never too sweet. The staff is warm and accommodating, and the service keeps me coming back. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and attentive without being pushy. Gio went above and beyond - our family needed to sit outside for health reasons and even though they don’t normally take outdoor reservations, Gio and the team made it happen. Between the food, ambiance, and service, Ella never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Great place for brunch, everything tasty and delicious. Good energy and vibe. Had shakshuka, steak frites & eggs , buttermilk pancakes and French press coffee. $55 per person When to go: craving brunch during the weekend around the upper west side. Would go back! Btw they use Colombian coffee ☕️ deserving 10 stars for it ❤️

I can’t recommend this place enough! From the moment we walked in, the warm and lively vibe made us feel right at home. The staff was super friendly and clearly love what they do. Every dish we tried was flavorful and looked just as good as it tasted. The patatas bravas were perfectly crispy with the right amount of heat, and the empanadas were so good we immediately ordered more. The Smoky Sprouts (crispy Brussels with chipotle emulsion and lemon) were a favorite, and the Coliflor con Almendras—roasted cauliflower with parmesan, thyme, and crunchy Marcona almonds—was next-level delicious. The Kofte Sliders, made with spiced beef-lamb, caramelized onions, manchego, and chimichurri mayo, were juicy, bold, and memorable. The cocktails really elevated the whole experience. The Modotti, with grilled pineapple, jalapeño, and mezcal, was smoky, spicy, and refreshing. The Simone, a mezcal twist on a Negroni with rosemary, was bold and smooth with a perfect smoky finish. Whether you’re planning a date night, meeting up with friends, or just want amazing food and drinks in a fun atmosphere, this spot delivers. I can’t wait to go back!

Had brunch at this cute spot and really enjoyed it. We ordered the shakshuka and eggs benedict—both were delicious. The shakshuka was super flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and the eggs benni were perfectly cooked with a creamy hollandaise sauce. The vibe was relaxed but lively, and our server Gio was so friendly and helpful—made the experience even better. Great spot for a casual weekend brunch. Would definitely go back!

Went for happy hour on a Sunday. Ordered the Elana, a very nice gin cocktail light, fragrant, not to sweet. Then 3 small plates The mushroom croquetas were absolutely delicious, crisp outside creamy on the inside. The beef & lamb slider was expertly well made. Then the empanada was classic but done well, the cust was flakey and the filling well seasoned.

Has good food and nice for a large group. We tried a lot of items but we really liked the brussel sprouts, octopus, tuna tartar, and the cauliflower. Not pictured, lamb meatballs, mushrooms, mussels, and chicken. The chicken strips were literally thin chicken cutlets cut into strips which we didn't mind, I liked how thin they were. But any kid looking for chicken tenders would be disappointed. The sangria was really good, recommend getting a pitcher for the table. Overall for the price, it was good.

Stopped by for some happy hour action with my better half for some tapas and drinks. Food is top notch - excellent flavors and quality of produce and meat they use definitely comes through. Portions were a bit on the smaller side but this place transported us to Spain which was amazing. Drinks were yummy and service is great! Nice vibes, music was the perfect volume and such a cute spot on the UWS. Need to come back for a proper dinner to sample more of the menu. The mini burger was Deliciousness and can't be missed. The Empanadas was very well balanced and the pintxos appetizer was fresh and yummy as well..mushroom croquettes were a one and done for us and paled in comparison with the other appies we had.

We loved everything about this neighborhood gem! The atmosphere and quaint interior were perfect for our early dinner, and the service was friendly and quick. We ordered a charcuterie board (yummmmm!!), croquettes (double yummmm!), gambas/shrimp in garlic butter (to die for) and the bravas (potatoes). The potatoes don’t quite come with the traditional red sauce you’d normally get with patatas bravas so I was a bit let down by that. But we really enjoyed everything about this place!

Enjoyed brunch on Sunday, Norwegian eggs were good, just wished it came with more potatoes. French toast was tasty and good portion. Had one Bloody Mary, delicious but a bit on the small side for price. Service was good, but overall space is a little cramped and loud. Overall good for a quick bite, especially near Central Park.

This was an OK dining experience. I enjoy tapas, but I didn’t like the long time between receiving the first half of our tapas and the second. We had to wait about 20 minutes between our waiter taking our first plates away and bringing our new ones. It would have been better if they were more evenly spread. Food was just ok to me. The meatballs were dryer than expected, the shrimp were overcooked, and the croquettes were cold in the middle. Our waiter was great, though.
