Clean, yaroa are always good. Service is fast. I usually call and place my order 5-10 minutes before coming and it is hot and ready upon arrival

They've got at least 15 different types of pastelitos, that alone is enough to love this place. The passion fruit juice is my go-to drink although all their natural juices are really good.

I've gone twice this week. LOVE the signs they have inside so cute! The Chicken Platano Maduro Yaroa is SO GOOD! The salchipapa is suuper tasty, they use crinkled fried 😍 Only wish they'd crisp the fries more. The batida de lechoza/zapote is SO good as well. The Empanadas are great! Only the bola de yuca threw me off. The meat was suuuper salty so this is something they need to watch out for. Other than that it's a must visit! This place was amazing. Service was very fast and friendly; the prices were great; and the food was the best I've had in NYC. I would only change one thing about my experience here; I'd eat more!! Seriously though, if you're craving fast Spanish food, get it here.

Their cakes are truly the best !!! I have been ordering cakes from here for the past 4-5 years and each one of them has always come out great ! The prices are great as well i believe $30-40 per pound depending on the filling you choose. However i give them 4 stars because if you want the cake at 5pm you better tell them you want it at 1pm ! Also the place is always hectic in there, and as far as I know no one speaks English in there... But trust me its all worth it !!! Oh almost forgot the place is always busy so place your order at least a week ahead !

The Mangu was so clumped together, oily, and tasteless that as a Dominican from La Romana I had to leave a review. The only reason that it got 3 stars was because the Chimi was good. Its smaller than expected but the flavor is on point.

Umm... I dunno, they're pretty good I guess it just depends on what it is that you're getting. Like for example, the patelitos and yaroa are really good!! Never had their ready to make juices so I can’t comment on those. However, now they're making cachapas and although I've had them elsewhere and we're delicious!!! I wasn't a fan of this one it tasted like a cream of wheat cookie with chicken. The cachapas y más on 179 and broadway and the one dyckman Taste 100 percent better.

It's a hit or miss.

The empanadas were good but a supper chewy, the cheese felt weird too not the dominican taste of empanadas if it was going for that.

The shredded chicken in the huge empanada was a ball in the middle. I took a pic but cannot share.

En esta localización de Empanadas Monumental viven contratando mujeres que no saben lo que es un servicio al cliente mejor dicho no tienen customer services, solo viven enamorando los tigueres del bloque. Entro al local a comprar una empanada de queso en la vitrina no avía mas empanada de queso y le pregunté a la mujer que trabaja hay si me podían freír 2 empanadas de queso que yo las espero tu sabe que ella hizo me ignoró y se fue a sentar y hablar por su celular pues yo me quedé sorprendido porque ella nunca me dio una respuesta pues le pregunté al cocinero si me podía freír unas empanadas de queso y el hombre bien amable fue y me puso las empanadas. Yo vivía en Santiago donde nació las empanadas monumental allá nunca me vendieron una empanada seca y fría aquí en NYC es lo contrario aquí fríen como 30 empanadas las dejan secarse se ponen más dura que un concon de la 12 y pal colmo están más cara cada día $3.25 si una empanada va costar eso que aunque sea valga la pena la comida y el servicio al cliente.

Dicen que cierra a las 10 son las 9 y punto falta 1h y ya no están trabajando para eso digan que cierran a las 9 para no poder el tiempo en ir hasta la tienda.

I had a truly disappointing experience at this Yaroa restaurant. Not only did I have to wait an excruciating hour for my order, but when I finally got my food, it was a huge letdown. The Yaroas were incredibly dry and completely lacked flavor. The meat was tough, and the sauce—if you could even call it that—was practically nonexistent. It felt like they just slapped together some bland ingredients and called it a day. For the amount of time I had to wait, I expected something much better. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone; it was a waste of both my time and money.

I brought a lot pastelitos to bring home for my family and I was thinking what can go wrong it’s pastelitos, but it was horrible, First of all the meat smelled old and than second the meat was the lowest grade of meat and than thirdly they just put the meat in the middle like a big ball. My family didn’t enjoy it at all.

I just went there and asked for some empanadas, freshly fried. The lady says "They just came out right now, they're always freshly fried." Meanwhile she was the only person working in sight, there were two customers in front of me, and I'm pretty sure I was waiting for over 5 minutes. Note: I always make this request because I encounter similar results when I order empanadas from different locations. The result: She intentionally gave me 2 from the display, and only one freshly fried, KNOWING I WAS WATCHING HER. I didn't want to argue over it so I just gave her the benefit of the doubt, took my food and left. Sure enough, I'm biting into cold dough, shrimp, and cheese. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. Ah well, you get what you pay for, right?

I’m a huge foodie and I was so excited when I saw Mofonguitos and Yaroa on the menu. I ordered 1 small French fry yaroa , 1 small order of pork mofonguitos and 4 different types of empanadas . I’ll be posting my pics after this so u can all see I got my order about 10 min ago and I have to say I will NEVER ! Order from this place again . Each empanada was stamped with a small red circle that looked like marker , the mofonguitos were saturated in grease and some weird sauces they use and the yaroa was gross it had stuff in it that was not described on the menu . Def not worth the 30$ I’ll stick with ordering Bombonada it’s heavenly food compared to this place !!!This place is not recommendable at all .

So my friends and I came in and the employees were friendly but the service was terrible. We ordered two yaroas and a chimi.. The chimi took forever but the yaroa came quick. Once we got the yaroa one of them had hair and the other one was wrong!! So then I ordered a second one and I had to wait another 20 minutes for it and then on top of it they over charged me and on top it there was a hair as well in this one and the cheese tasted old like it had been sitting out for a while.
