One of the coolest “secret” spaces in New York. The drinks were incredible, the vibe was immaculate - literally the perfect place to bring a date you want to impress, or celebrate a function with all your friends. Also, heads up- they have a monthly magic show called “magic unlocked” that will blow your socks off. It’s hard to get tickets because it sells out so fast - but its 1000% worth it if you can score one!!!
Very cool spot. Good drinks and intimate vibe. Staff is super friendly. We had the Daddy Issues and the one with psycho in the name I think. They had chile de arbol as the garnish which is pretty cool, I haven’t seen that before. It sounds like a weird compliment but it’s a very good thing with strong drinks: the guy who refills the water was on top of it all night. Great place.
What a terrific venue and the Magic Unlocked shows are fantastic. Huge smiles on everyone's faces and great time had by all. A real treat. Mark Clearview has done an amazing job. One of NYC's best kept secrets. Tix go superfast so grab 'em when you can.
We hosted our engagement party at Keys & Heels and were blown away by the service, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere. The staff was incredible - warm, attentive and friendly. Several of our guests commented on how lovely they were. The food was delicious - a great selection of passed appetizers for us to choose from and they calculated the amount perfectly for our guest list. And of course, the cocktails were inventive and delicious. The icing on the cake was Lindsey, the event manager. She was so communicative and thorough. Along the way she thought of all the perfect little touches to make the event feel intimate and special. We put this party together in roughly a week and it would have been impossible without her. I can't wait for the chance to work with her again. I would hands-down recommend Keys & Heels for your next special event!

I first wandered in looking for a place to have my keys copied and shoes shined. Standing with a pair of my loafers and keys to my new apartment, I was told it was a speakeasy. What a surprise! I must say, this place exceeded all my expectations! From the moment you step through the discreet entrance, you enter a sitting area of elegance and sophistication. The first thing that struck me was the incredible attention to detail in the ambiance incorporating the 🔑 and 👠 in the decor. The cozy seating arrangements create an intimate atmosphere for you and your friends. It truly feels like stepping into a secret world. Okay, let's talk about the drinks! The mixologists, Israel aka “Izzy” made the most incredible old fashion. My friend had the spritz which she enjoyed. The manager Diego was very welcoming and friendly. He bounced around to each table making sure everyone was comfortable. Our waitress, Stephanie was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Everyone took time to engage with guests, offering recommendations and sharing personal favorites. Really an AWESOME experience. I’ll be back!
excellent vibes, music, and cocktails. such a cool place. if you want to sit, make a reservation. great spot for 1 or 2 drinks and a funky vibe
Love Keys&Heels!!! Was in NYC for a girls weekend and went both nights! Music/drinks and atmosphere are fantastic!!! Second night James set aside a table for us and the experience was as good if not better than the first night especially with DJ Uncle Mike spinning great music until the wee hours I don’t think we’d go anywhere else-your missing out if you don’t try this little secret in NYC Had dinner beforehand at ‘UVA Next Door it was fantastic too!! Highly recommend!!!!!

First: the decor, lighting, music! A+! So inviting! Once seated- we were greeted & served water & presented with a drink menu that was filled with cool drinks! Very delish as well! Service A+ - Servers were very attentive & genuinely friendly! James the Manager paid us a visit & We couldn’t have made a better decision than visiting this Hotspot! James invited us to come the next night because Uncle Mike The DJ would be spinning the Tunes & promised to be a Great night! James was right! Friday night was even better than night before! We met some great people from other US cities- all ages ! James & The K & H Staff were very gracious & welcoming ! Definitely will visit next time in NYC & suggest to visitors check this Bar out! We had a great visit from Toronto! Cheers ! Until next time! 🩵🍸🎶🗽
Recently been to this hidden gem on UES for a friend's birthday. Swanky place and great service combined with unique, expensive cocktails and food. Got barefoot/topless- light and refreshing summery drink, adulting - got a nice kick from this drink. We requested for a specific whiskey and the waitress went above and beyond to get it for us. There's a DJ who spins 80s music. Had a great time!
Went here with a bunch of girlfriends and loved it. Getting into a speakeasy can be a little intimidating but the staff here was so kind and welcoming, impressive, and professional. One thing I’ll say is def reserve a table if you want to have seating! A little loud for a first date but so fun and great music. We even met the manager and he was so lovely and kind!
Keys & Heels was INCREDIBLE—truly the highlight of the weekend. The Friday night DJ was perfection and set the exact vibe you want for a fun night out. The playlist was ROCKIN! It’s the perfect spot for a date night or a girls’ night on the town. The vibe is cool, fun, and a little spunky in the best way. The staff was super nice, the bartenders were excellent, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. Truly a hidden gem. A must-visit spot in NYC!
Absolutely loved this bar, playlist and vibe! They have fun coasters, cocktails and matches! Shoutout to Jo the server ! Especially difficult to do a walk-in even with just 2 people. Highly recommend a reservation.
Professional level cocktails - love the mezcal options, plus the Espresso Martini is their own unique take on a classic. It’s amazing. Well executed speakeasy vibes and a must visit for UES.
💯💯💯💯💯 Just discovered this hidden gem on the Upper East Side — a true speakeasy with an incredible cocktail list and an unbelievably sexy vibe. Every drink was a masterpiece, the lighting and music set the perfect mood, and the whole place feels like a secret you’re lucky to know about. Definitely one of the coolest spots uptown.
The drinks here are no joke—bold, intense, and full of personality. If you’re into strong cocktails with a creative twist, this is the spot. Alter Ego is smoky and complex, while Little Pretty Psycho might just be the spiciest cocktail I’ve ever had—seriously, it’s wild. As a speakeasy, the vibe is dark and crowded, with menus hard to read in the low light. The space feels intimate, but the live DJ keeps the music loud—so don’t expect deep conversations or a first-date-friendly setting. If you want a table, definitely book ahead.
Love the aesthetic here so much we took our engagement photos here! Jayne was so great to coordinate with and the staff is so nice. Such a fun spot on the UES with a cool vibe and amazing cocktails
Super cool Speakeasy on the UES. A Cocktail bar located directly behind a locksmith. There’s a covered entrance with a hostess. Reservations are highly recommended if you’re going later in the evening. They open at 6 Wednesday through Saturday and close at 1 weeknights and 2 on weekends. Cocktails are fun and creative. Such a unique concept, and so much fun.
Thought I’d get my keys fixed but got my cocktail fix instead, shoutout Mana for the drink recommendations and hospitality <3

Made a reservation around an hour before going in on a Friday evening, we got great service and the drinks were good! Fun ambience
super cute speakeasy. I went for their magic show and really enjoyed it! Small, intimate setting. Tasty drinks. It was great to see tricks so up close and personal.
Love this place so much — easy 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keys & Heels is hands down one of the chicest, most special spots in the neighborhood. From the moment you walk in, the speakeasy vibe just hits — moody, stylish, and effortlessly cool without trying too hard. The cocktails are so good (like, the kind you think about days later), and the music is always on point — fun, energetic, but still perfect for actually talking and enjoying the night. The staff truly make it though. They’re welcoming, fun, and somehow always know how to read the room. Whether you’re there for a casual drink or celebrating something big, they make it feel like an occasion. The crowd is great too — it’s the kind of place where you actually meet interesting, friendly people. This place means even more to me personally because I met my fiancé here on our first date 🥹 We’ve come back over the years to celebrate promotions, new jobs, and big life moments, and they’ve always made those nights feel extra special. Recently, they even let us take some engagement photos there, which meant the world to us. Having those memories tied to a place that’s already such a part of our story is something we’ll treasure forever. If you want incredible drinks, amazing energy, and a place that feels both cool and meaningful, Keys & Heels is it. Could not recommend more.
We hosted a private party at Keys & Heels, and everything was perfect. The staff was incredibly responsive and flexible during planning, and the night of the event they went above and beyond. There were plenty of staff helping with everything, the bartenders were fantastic, and the food was excellent. The space itself is beautiful and ideal for an intimate gathering. Everyone commented on how great everything was from start to finish. I’d host another event here in a heartbeat!
I've been to Keys & Heels many times and it always delivers — the drinks & bites are excellent, service is great, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I recently went for their Magic Unlocked show, and it was outstanding! Highly recommend for a great night out on the UES.
Giving an extra ⭐️ for service, all thanks to Jovanya! (I hope I spelled it right!) We came in with a group of friends and the place was already heaving, but that didn't seem to phase our lovely server. She was not only knowledgeable about the menu, but also provided great entertainment with her sharp wit! Our glasses were never empty for long. Incredible service and a great night out. Cocktails, to die for. We will definitely be back!
Great space with a lovely lounge and comfy seating. The cocktails were quite good, really loved that they were booze forward on the palette and not overly sweet. Definitely would recommend a visit here. Several in our group really loved the Upper East Side

Cute! A very fun "speakeasy" vibe. I only got a mocktail, which was overly sweet, but the mocktail michelada was tasty and the other people I went with liked their cocktails.
Is it a club? A speakeasy? Both? I'd say it's more club than speakeasy like 2nd Floor nearby on 75th, but not nearly as intense as the other 70s themed place on the UES, Ethyl's. It's more sophisticated both in vibe and in menu. I only stopped in to see what's happening in the neighborhood and got a single cocktail (the Weekend Upstate) which wasn't *bad*, but it certainly wasn't $18 good. I'm hoping that other drinks on the menu are a little better, but at the price, it's difficult to taste test everything. Maybe next time! Overall seems to be a really cool addition to the neighborhood, and the theming is great. Will be back to try some of their other drink options!
Overall rating 4.3, average is valid. This is not a speakeasy.. I feel like in order to be a speakeasy, you actually have to have a “front” (see PDT, bathtub gin, back room, garrett, etc). This is a bar with a key-making window. There is a bouncer & a hostess outside. Drinks were good. I got the barefoot & topless which was very light / borderline tasted like water. Not pictured, I also got the Good Night Negroni which was more my speed. Arrived around 7 on a Thursday & was able to “walk in” by 7:30. Reasonably crowded, but mostly women. I could come here again if I was in the area, but won’t be seeking out or recommending.

I had a great time with a group of friends. My only complaint is that the manager was very rude and hostile to me when I sat down. But the cocktails are great and so is the rest of the staff. They were very accommodating to my large group.
For the area it was what we were looking for. We couldn't sit down, standing room only. My drink wasn't out of this world but the bar tender was very friendly and hard working. At first I thought the music was too loud, but by the time the disco ball came on we were loving the music selection. Lots of 60s-80s. Live DJ.
The cocktails here were well presented and made. Got to taste 5 different cocktails and while none were bad, none blew my socks off either. The music was also a bit too loud. Had to constantly yell to hear each other. All in all I’d say it’s still worth the experience of a cool speak easy.
In love with Speakeasies!!! Love to find a cocktail bar hidden behind a locksmith/shoe repair store. The crown was pretty rude and snobby. The only ckcktail i tried was good. Reserve via resy, tables releasing every Tursday

I want to preface this review by saying that I have worked in restaurants before. We all have “off” days, but we only have one chance to make a first impression. After a year of wanting to visit this spot, I was finally able to get a reservation for myself and fiancé. Due to multiple train delays my reservation was for 7:45 PM, but I was running 15 minutes late. I called the restaurant multiple times but no one answered. I had read their table policy and that they only hold reservations for 15 minutes so therefore, I knew there was a strong chance I would not be able to be seated or would have to wait. I was OK with this because I knew that was their policy. I arrived at the restaurant. I was greeted by a rude standoffish hostess. I informed her that I had a reservation, but unfortunately was running late and was OK with waiting. She rolled her eyes and said”you know we only hold tables for 15 minute’s, right?” To which i politely said yes and noted I would be happy to be put on a wait less. She DIDN’T even respond and just walked off. This was our first time at this place and we weren’t sure if she was going inside to check on tables or what. We waited and then she came to us and said “here” and pointed at a random Table. My fiancé and I were taken aback. We STILL ordered over $100 in drinks and snacks. Our server was amazing and the manager on duty (Saturday night) was also really pleasant. However, that interaction left a really bad taste in our mouths. Times are tough, but I would rather spend my money in a place where I feel welcomed from beginning to end. Very disappointing.
My girlfriend and I was there around 2 weeks ago. We had fun the drinks were great however it looks like the staffs were drinking as well especially our Busser seemed off with slurring speech nice skinny tall guy told us his name was Jay or JJ. I’m not one to judge but creates lack of service and becomes a safety issue for their establishment. I would recommend this place to friends and family for great cocktails.
Last friday I went to visit this place on my vacation because my friend recommended visiting if I on NYC but when arriving there, the bartender had an attitude and I received a awful service, I’m order three times my drinks and I never receive my drink I was waiting and waiting and him bring me my drink after a long time in my personal opinion this place has a good presentation a good drinks everything is good but the bartender was drunk and is not a good impression for a customer …I tex to my friend and I’m explaining that situation and I told him I never come back to this place …! I DIDN’T GET A GOOD SERVICE FROM THE BARTENDER!
The drinks were not so good, they were okay. We decided to order some food, and we ordered the Focaccia for $12 plus tax. When it came to the table we were very disappointed to find out that it is two pieces of bread, that wasn't even fresh!!! The kind of bread you buy at the grocery store and sits in your kitchen for a few days, and they are giving only 2 pices of it for $12! (Uploaded picture of the food) How are they not ashamed to give it to their customers?! And why the hell 2 pieces cost $12 dollars?!?! Overall, we were disappointed and upset. We won't go back and we will recommend all of our friends not to go there!!
