Got my usual as always, palak paneer, and this one was pretty good. Usually the ones fully blended smooth I know are gonna hit the spot. This one had a great heat to it and the pieces of paneer were pretty large. Garlic naan was large and fluffy which I appreciate but pretty steep price ($7!) for just bread.

What a lovely place. We loved everything from this place: from the food to the server. Appetizer were great: samosa and Chicken 65 are highly recommended. Chicken Tikka Masala was very good. Chicken Makhani became my new favorite: it was simply delicious. The quality of the meat is high. Also, the Mango Lassi was very good. Finally, a special mention for our server Gunjeshwar (I think) that was very gentle and recommended us these amazing dishes.

I LOVE this spot. I've tried so many Indian food spots but this is unbeatable for the price + quality, not to mention the excellent service. (Go for their lunch special if you want a good deal).

Went with my boyfriend for a quick dinner date and had the best dine-in service we've seen in a long time. They were all collectively attentive to each table and every single one of them were kind and easy to talk to! 10/10 recommend, the food was phenomenal and fresh as well!!

On a cool, rainy day, I stepped into this restaurant craving something comforting and decided to try the moong dal soup. It was so delicious that I couldn’t resist having two bowls! I would’ve gone for more if my stomach wasn’t already full. This place truly amazed me with the flavor and quality of the soup, and I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more dishes. Absolutely loved it!

Good food, professional service, freshly made, and price was not too bad. We ordered three main dishes: chicken with spinach, prawn with coconut curry, and lamb with spicy red curry. I can’t remember the name but we made sure we didn’t order the ‘usual’. IYKYK. All were yum and didn’t have too much salt like in other restaurants, which I was good. It was made fresh from scratch so there was some wait time, but it’s fine because it was supposed to be a date night. Main dishes didn’t include side dishes like rice or naan. So we ordered one side dishes of basmati rice and it was enough for the both of us. We couldn’t finish the meal because we were so full and got a box for the leftover. Service was professional, not too cold, not too friendly. Well lit so we could see the food and other guests weren’t too loud. They seemed to have lots of delivery orders. So that’s a good sign. Would highly recommend this place. Oh, and the menu was on the screen, not on paper. So no photos of that.

Great food. Overall loved the vibe and options. Tried their mango martini and it was perfect. For starters we had Aloo Tikki Chart, highly recommend! Achari mushroom tikka was the highlight. Loved the veg biryani as well. Would love to visit again to try their curries and naan! Ended our meal with some rabdi. Super refreshing!

The vegetarian lunch ($17.95, tax included) included an appetizer, your choice of the main dish, black daal, basmati rice, naan and a small serving of Sooji. The methi mutter paneer was well-seasoned, rich and creamy. The spice level can be adjusted to your liking. I would gladly return to sample more dishes.

5-Star Review for Sahib Restaurant, New York Sahib is an absolute gem in the heart of Lexington Avenue! From the moment you walk in, the service is fantastic — attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food? Simply outstanding. They also serve beer/wine and other alcohol. Construction outside and it’s hardly visible from outside . It’s a hidden gem ! Their lunch special thali is a feast — generous portions, well-balanced flavors, and a variety of delicious dishes. The goat curry was easily one of the best I’ve had in New York — tender, rich, and packed with flavor. The dhal was perfectly spiced, the potato bhajji crisp and flavorful, and the meal ended on a sweet high with a warm, melt-in-your-mouth gulab jamoon. At around $22 for the thali, it’s slightly on the pricier side for lunch, but absolutely worth every penny for the quality and quantity. Highly recommend if you're looking for top-notch Indian food in Midtown. Will surely visit back . This place surely deserves a 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place, near the hotel I was staying at, was recommended by my client. It was soooooo good! I got the butter chicken lunch to go, expecting a smaller "lunch" portion. Um, this was a lot of food. I couldn't finish the rice! And the naan will be saved as a snack for later. Another review said they don't kid around with their spiciness, and since I have to work tonight I went safe with "medium" spicy. If I didn't have to work, I would've loved to try their spicy. But "medium" was spicily delicious too!! The Dal soup that came with lunch was also delicious. Usually for restaurants, the soups they include with their lunch special is nothing to praise, but this soup is GOOD. I like Indian food and eat it a lot (I attempt to make them at home too) but this soup is probably something I cannot recreate or even find back home in Los Angeles. Also for service. They were quiet but considerate, and that is all I ask for! Thank you Sahib and I hope to come again!!

Came in based on recommendation from friends in the area! A little nook in the wall of New York (as most great restaurants are) that opened up into a beautifully ornate and aromatic business. Food was great for a quick bite before my train out of New York city. Ordered a lunch special that was flavorful and filling! Mango lassi was alright and did its job in tandem with a morning margarita.

The Kori Gassi, aka "coconut chicken curry" is fantastic and I would get it again. It's red and pictured below. You don't need to get roti with it because it comes with rice. It's cheaper to order by calling them than ordering online by around $5 (but I also get free delivery, so it may be more than $5 without that). The samosas were solid. Potatoes in bread. I might not get them again because they're a large amount of empty carbs and the entree was filling enough without them. Loved the boneless chicken curry. I got it mild and that was good. It has a ton of flavor in the sauce, and not wayyy to much oil to make it super high calorie. They replaced the daal with chickpeas because the daal usually has dairy in it :) Came with eggplant fried as appetizer and some roti for less than $20 :) I had the Gosht Baliram togo. It is described on the menu as "Red lamb curry, corriander seeds, red chilli, ginger, garlic, fresh coriander slow cooked to perfection" The sauce was delicious but there was wayyyy too much oil on it (see the pools of oil in the attached image), and it kind of weirded me out that it was delivered in plastic due to the chemicals leeching into it while it's hot. I know it's normal to use plastic for hot food like this, and so a lot of people aren't worried about it, but that was my experience. I would love to get it in-person if it didn't have a crazy amount of oil.

My friend took me there and I got to try some Indian food I’ve never had before. Such a great experience. We ordered Panipuri, dahi aloo tikki chaat (so flavorful and I’ve in love with the texture), paneer curry with lachha paratha. Everything’s tasty and the price is very reasonable for the serving size. Totally recommend❤️‍🔥

I have been to Sahib at least three or four times and every single time is an amazing experience! The service here is amazing, the environment is great for conversation, and intimate enough for a personal date. The food is excellent and the drinks are delicious and strong. Honestly always a pleasure! It has become one of my favorite places in Manhattan. The dinner I had there tonight was excellent and our server, Praveen, was incredible as well. I brought my family and I will be bringing more friends here too!

We got Gobi Manchurian and chicken lollipop for appetizers. To be honest, never order the chicken lollipop, they are over-battered. Cauliflower is ok. The best dish here is the chicken biryani. It is made in authentic clay pot. When we are craving for chicken biryani, this is the best in the city.

Sahib was a great experience overall. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb biryani, Kori gassi, and chili garlic naan. The masala chai and strawberry lassi were quite good as well. To finish I had the Malpua and rabri and ras malai. The servers were attentive and polite. The small restaurant had a nice backdrop of noise and overall was a quite pleasant experience. Would go again!

Head on down to the 20s and Lexington Ave for a taste of culinary heaven! With so many options to choose from, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but fear not—each restaurant on this vibrant street offers a unique and delicious experience. Whether you're craving the bold spices of North Indian cuisine or the comforting flavors of the South, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds. So, I recently stopped by Sahib and let me tell you, the Dahi Aloo Tikki stole the show. And even though the Pani Puri portion was a VERY small for the price ($9 for 6 Pani Puris 🥲) I enjoyed every bit of it as I hadn’t eaten it in so long. I took a friend along for her first street food experience, and she was hooked. We got the Paneer Lababdar for main course, and it struck the perfect balance between sweet and savory. Best part? It didn't break the bank! Less than $30 per person for a feast.

The food was amazing! The service was okay, but the waiters always looked confused and not sure what to do. They have a creamy lamb korma that was amazing (white onion curry sauce) and their kaichuris were soooo good. Highly recommend their raj kaichuri! The pani puri was fine, but not worth getting when you can get more kaichuri.

I loved the biryani. The taste was superb. Perfect texture with spices, not dry, chicken was yummy with so much flavors. Loved it. Must try!!

Popped into this restaurant due to not being able to get in to other similar places nearby. Was pleasantly surprised, we had their lunch special and was expecting to see small portions, but to our surprise the portions were quite reasonable. The flavors was also very good, we had chick tikka masala and chicken curry, both very good. We will be going back to try it again perhaps trying the fish curry.

Nice spacious place. Got Murgh Angare - Found the chicken a bit uncooked in between. Not sure what was the pomegranate taste as such in it Methi Malai Chicken - Good taste, slightly sweet as expected. Methi could have been on a bit heavier side. The taste was very subtle. Garlic Chili Naan - was good Good quantity for all the dishes. Overall a decent stop
