My friends and I always have the best time at Soju Haus. The food is consistently seasoned to perfection, the drink selection is unmatched, and the vibe is the perfect balance between high energy and cozy. I could go on about everything I love, but the service truly stands out. Huge shoutout to Angela and Jenny, absolute icons. I have been coming here for years, and Soju Haus has genuinely mastered both hospitality and flavor.
We booked dinner for our sister 21st bday and the service was amaaazing, the host was very welcoming, the server was very attentive and kind, all the staff were super super helpful. Food was chef kiss, best place i could find in ktown. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely will come back!!
We had a great time hanging out with my fiancée, our buddy. It was 3 of us. We ordered Spicy chicken with cheese, chicken feet with rice balls, a seafood pancake, grilled beef intestines, 750 ml sweet sojus, 2 small bottles of soju. The restaurant kindly provided us an extra small bottle of soju on the house. It cost $75 bucks each including tax and tips. They accept cash or American Express credit card. We stayed past midnight. The restaurant closes at 1 am. It was a bit noisy and we had to drown out the noise to hear each other. The food was awesome. The chicken feet essentially melted in my mouth.
We stopped by around 11 PM right after checking into our hotel during our visit from California. We ordered the kimchi pancake, chicken gizzard with shishito peppers, chicken with anchovies, and budae jjigae soup. They also served complimentary mung bean jelly salad and a Korean-style egg omelette. Every dish was delicious—especially comforting after a long flight delay—and the service was excellent. Highly, highly recommend!
My partner and I had a wonderful time at Soju Haus. We ordered the kimchi pancake and cold buckwheat noodles which were both very delicious as well as the matcha and kiwi highballs. What truly made the experience was our server Angela. I recently injured my thumb and currently in a splint, which Angela noticed and was extremely accommodating, making sure I was doing okay and constantly checking in to see if I needed anything. She truly made the experience phenomenal. If you haven’t been, I recommend trying it out!
Amazing Korean restaurant in the most vibrant, yet lesser known, part of Manhattan, K-town. You need to know where your are going as the restaurant is not street facing. Attention was great, they even gave us complimentary rice liquor. The full cost of the meal was between 40 and 50 USD including tax and tip
Came here with friends to mostly drink and hang out. We got terra (our favorite korean beer), kimchi pancake, buckwheat noodles, and popcorn chicken. The buckwheat noodles were surpisingly spicy and we weren't expecting the popcorn chicken to be so saucy but it was good still. Very modern aesthetic and the bathrooms are really nice. Love the lively atmosphere. Note it's cash and Amex only, but they have an ATM inside.
Ventured in here for dinner after hearing about on social media. The space is beautiful, the atmosphere is great and the food was some of the best we've ever had in Korea town ( we have been frequenting ktown for ovr 20 yrs ). The cheese potato pancake was insanely good. The topikki was really good, the ribs amazing, and the kimchi bone stew was amazing. The soju cocktails were also really good. Service was fast and super nice. We were made to feel at home. Would totally recommend
All the food was delicious, needless to say. Even their service was the best I have ever experienced. Although it is a pity that they only accept Amex and cash, I think that is the rule of the store and everyone should follow it, and they are not to be criticized at all. I have been there 5 times so far and I am so grateful that I have had a good time with my friends every time.
great for large groups and very well priced with large af portions. we ordered so many dishes and drinks and enjoyed them all. my personal favorites were the kimchi radish fried rice, bbq chicken and cheese, and the salmon sashimi. the complimentary rice they serve before 8pm is also delicious—it’s served with purple rice, anchovies, and an egg! the staff were all so kind and provided all we needed for my friend’s birthday dinner. i’ll definitely be back!
Delicious food and drinks! Perfect for large groups or enjoy by yourself. We had a party of 4 and loved all the food options. Everything we ate was great and service was fast and friendly. All staff were very attentive and helpful. We ordered intestines, squid, chicken gizzards, pork belly, and pig trotters. Again, everything was so good! I highly recommend trying them out! They will not disappoint.
Had a reservation for two and were seated without any issues. The staff were nice. Just a heads up, they only accept cash or Amex. We started with the jelly salad, it was refreshing and flavorful. The seafood pancake, which was pretty good overall, but it did have some spicy chili peppers mixed in. I have a low spice tolerance, so the spice was getting to me. For our main dish, we ordered the beef intestines with spicy soybean sprouts. It tasted good at first, but as we continued eating, we started to like it less. That said, we really enjoyed the rice cakes, potatoes, and bean sprouts that came with it. Overall, a mixed experience food-wise, but the service was great!
Fun spot for a weekend hangout with friends. The atmosphere is lively and it’s a great place to eat, drink, and socialize. The food is solid, especially paired with soju, though it’s more about the experience than standout dishes.
Soju spot in the heart of KTown. Hip and late night spot for drinks, specializing in Soju. Lots of different food options, party style, for table sharing while drinking. Food is ok, nothing off the charts, its main focus is the late night drinks. The place has a late night party vibe.
Cash and Amex only! I had the bulgogi, black sausage, and pork belly with kimchi. The food wasn't terrible by any means but definitely not amongst some the better Korean food I’ve eaten over the years. The black sausage was good but there was barely any of it, it was smothered and covered with too many vegetables. The pork belly was too lean for my liking. If I wanted a leaner cut, I wouldn’t select pork belly because that’s supposed to be a rich and decadent cut. Those are my minor criticisms. The soju cocktails were pretty darn good and the ambiance was nice
Went with friends to eat and was slightly disappointed. The food was okay, but not the best. My friend ordered the oxtail, and there was hardly any meat on them. The beef bulgogi was the most decent plate in our table. Also, the portion sizes are quite big and more so for sharing, which is fine. I would recommend the lemon high ball. It was the star of our night! Overall, we receive great service from the staff. Water was constantly being refilled, which we appreciate.
Interior was very nice but unnecessarily cramped. Half the restaurant is empty and then all the tables are squished in the other half. Loud and difficult to hear one another. We waited 25 min for someone to take our order and throughout that time, we were trying to get someone’s attention before we were finally able to flag someone down. Was so difficult to get any help from the staff. Food and drinks tasted good, but the food was unnecessarily too sweet. Can find similar quality food or better very easily with better service and less money in ktown. They accept only cash or Amex, which was not made apparent anywhere prior to getting the bill
This restaurant treated me and my friends horrible due to the fact we were underage. We were not interested in buying any alcohol and only wanted to sit down and eat. The guy at the door checked our id’s and told us the one person in our party was underage but mind you we were all underage so bad part on their security guy who can not do math. They still told us it’s possible for us to eat there but it would be a 30-40 minute wait, so we put our phone number and name down so they can notify us when the table is ready. They never sent us a text message or called us to let us know our table was ready. When we came back which was an hour after we put our name down we were told we won’t be able to eat there because it was only 21+. I would have totally understood if they told us that from the beginning, but for them to tell us to come back and waste an hour of our time is completely unprofessional. I told the host that you should have told us that from the beginning instead of making us come back and he knew he was wrong because he sat us down. We get to our table and sit down, the second we sit down we have the server coming every two minutes asking us what do we want to order as if they’re trying to get rid of us. After we received our food we never had a server come up to us to ask if everything was good and if we needed anything which I found rude because the tables around us received that attention from the servers. Once we received our check we paid with card and left with no tip. The server chased us out the restaurant and told us we left no tip like duh it was on purpose. This all occurred on Friday and today is Sunday that I’m writing this review. My party and I are experiencing the worst food poisoning imaginable, we believe they purposely made our food incorrectly out of spite. I’ve been to soju Haus many times for the last 2 years as a minor and they never asked for an id and the food never ever made me sick. I raved to everyone I know about this place and how nice the servers are and how delicious the food is. This experience I had with them is unfair and disgusting.
