This place saved me more than once when other restaurants in the area either closed too early or opened too late for when I needed food. I ended up picking up to-go orders here twice during my trip. The breakfast burrito was huge and tasty! The turkey club wrap was fresh and delicious, with great crispy & well-seasoned fries on the side. The staff that took my order each time was super friendly and personable. Highly recommend this place!
Great spot to go to catch up with friends/coworkers. Bar was nice. Food is above average. Highly recommend and will come again.
Good atmosphere for relaxing after a full day work. $1.5 oyster deal in happy hour (4-8pm). New York steak is pretty good and tender with a reasonable price $28. Service is good and these waitresses are fast for everything we asked. We had a good time today!
From the owner to the staff, they accommodated a very loud and large party of us last minute for a birthday. The food was perfect and they were so patient. Would 100% come back, definitely try the steak and eggs!!
Came up to Koreatown to visit Macy’s and stumbled upon a delightful happy hour tonight! Great drinks for a great price in the area and it was packed from wall to wall! Our server, I think her name was Stefanie, was amazing and made me and my boyfriend’s experience that much better. Will def be back :)
Great atmosphere, great staff and very good food..... Worth a visit for sure...... Meal was lovely, recommend the Steak, was awesome.... Staff were extremely friendly and looked after us... Atmosphere was loud without it being uncomfortable, everyone enjoyed themselves as it should be.... Please pay them a visit
New York is known for its attitude and just generally not being accessible for new people. I’m not new, and I’ve been to a ton of restaurants around town. One that keeps me coming back over and over is The Liberty. The food, staff, and drinks are always incredibly consistent. I always sit at the bar and I’ve been served by both Lisa and Louis now. Both of them made me feel like I was the star of their day, even when they were clearly slammed. Anybody who can maintain a positive attitude at times like that deserves a raise in my opinion. Above and beyond. I had coconut shrimp and a salad this time, but no matter what I get the food is surprisingly delicious. I love this hidden gem so much. It may be a “sports bar” but it’s so much cooler than your average pub. 13/10 stars!!
There are so many places to choose in NYC that you would never have to go to the same place twice but ill be back 100 percent. The cocktails were so good we had many round of the empress cocktail and the marg with watermelon juice . Johnathan was nothing short of an icon . He gave great service made amazing drinks and made us feel like friends. After he left a girl took over with the sleeve tattoo of her fave actress and she was just as attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had. 100/10 would recommend this spot is a vibe and its so cute with lights for the holidays.
We were in NYC for an extended weekend and stayed near this bar. The cab driver and hotel staff recommended it for both food and drinks. We went our first day and ended up stopping in every day of our trip, especially for the bartenders. Each one we met gave us the BEST service, wonderful recommendations, and feedback on what to do around town. Along with the lunch and brunch specials, JT and Bradley definitely made our trip much more enjoyable!
Diolch yn fawr liberty bar. When you see the welsh flag flying high you must seek refuge. What an amazing find. The food was fab, the service was amazing. This bar is a beauty, from the decor to the original flooring, it really is such a beautiful building. Thank you for such a lovely Welcome. Pity there wasn't a Wrexham game on when we came I would have been in my element.
I came here on a work lunch with my team after they were raving about the fish tacos. It was 16 degrees outside so very cold and the cold air kept coming in the restaurant. Food was delicious although I order salmon and mash potatoes with lemonade. My coworkers ordered the fish tacos and loved it. Prices were ok but the happy hour sounds very good!
This is the spot for my office. A bar with legit food. Huge portion with a very reasonable price, and very delicious!!! I love their pulled pork nachos. The best. They are always extremely patient with my colleagues who have different kinds of food allergies and restrictions. My husband loved their Cajun burger - it’s ridiculously big with waffle fries. We always go for their happy hour for $10 mules. Perfect spot for lunch or relaxing time after work! The only downside is that they seem always short staffed. Don’t get me wrong - they all work very hard, running around and doing everything. As a result, we do often need to wave our arms hard to get our waitress’s attention.
I had a really nice time in here with my sister. Was trying to get some drinks and something small to munch on. I really like the vibe and ambiance in here and our waitress was so friendly. The style of the couches are a really nice touch to this place. It feels and looks really classy. Outdoor seating seems so cozy with a nice view. Happy hour is great being 4-8. Would love to come back again.
Absolutely amazing outdoor seating area (visited in late November 2021 on a very chilly windy day). They have comfy leather couches and insanely warm infrared heaters. The food was excellent (we each had a cheeseburger and thought they were fantastic, as were the mac and cheese bites that we shared as an appetizer). The server was friendly and never rushed us. We ended up staying 6 hours (well after we had finished our meal and paid the bill)!!
Had a good time here playing trivia with Geeks that Drink on Monday nights. Staff was helpful and friendly. Food was OK for me. Lots of fried options, not much personality in it. Great spot to meet friends for a few drinks and light fair.
This is a very loud bar with TV screens on the walls playing sports. The music is very loud. If you want a place to chat with friends without shouting, this isn’t the spot. The interior is fun. The salmon, mashed potatoes, and sautéed vegetables is very basic but good. No sauces accompany the dish. The server called me hun and mama. It’s a place for groups to drink and nosh on shared plates.
This is a local gathering place and can get busy a lot on evenings, even on the weekdays. People come here to enjoy the street atmosphere outside or the television and decor inside. The bar has outdoor seating that is quite nice, with a mix of couches and tables brought out later in the day. Inside, the unique bar shape allows for patrons to sit all around the bartender. Aside from that, the staff are friendly and courteous. If your food takes too long, they keep tabs on that and will go ask about it, given that it's not too crowded. The food is okay. The fries with garlic are crispy and the garlic is present. But it's not very seasoned for my taste. They also have wings that are of decent number, but they are the typical small kind. The pork sliders I got had tender meat, but the sauce was too much when I had it mixed in, and that was all I could taste. But it's not a bad place for a small bite, since the main draw is the drinks and company.
Not my favorite bar. Bartender (brunette gal) was not friendly and kept eyeing my husband, not a good look. The nachos were delicious but pizza just so so. Have been to better bars with better atmosphere and definitely classier service.
We stopped in for dinner while visiting NYC and left pretty underwhelmed, especially considering the prices. The food was just okay—nothing memorable. My husband ordered the steak and I had the crab sandwich; both were fine, but definitely not worth what we paid. One thing that really stood out was the drink pricing. My husband ordered a soda and it came in a very small glass (about 6 oz) with ice and cost $5, with no free refills. That felt excessive. I ordered the passion drink, which was actually pretty good and probably the highlight of the visit. Service was slow and not very attentive. We waited longer than expected and didn’t feel checked on much throughout the meal. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but for the price and location, we expected better food and service. Probably wouldn’t return.
Stopped in last night for drinks and a few bites. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly after going to use the ladies’ room. The smell was so strong and unpleasant that I couldn’t even use it and had to leave the room. I started coughing and had difficulty breathing. It was extremely dirty and honestly alarming. Clean restrooms are usually a reflection of how the rest of a place is maintained, and after that, I completely lost my appetite. My boyfriend ordered mozzarella sticks, but they looked unappealing, and I couldn’t bring myself to eat anything. I only felt comfortable having a bottled drink. This place has potential, but cleanliness—especially the bathroom—needs serious attention. I won’t return unless there’s a noticeable improvement.
Service took way to long Drink refills ? Well had to ask server a few times to get it done, he kept forgetting. Apps and mains took forever to come out. When it did, most of it was awful Apps were great Mains were terrible and we ate 20% of mains All good, I wish they well and continued business, but I will not return
Smelled like cigarettes inside. Burger was raw. Fries were cold. Charged $1.00 per side of ranch dressing. Waiter charged me $10.00 for (2) small diet cokes. I ordered one soda and one was a refill The burger was $25.00. Lettuce was wilted. I will never go back given the competition here in Manhattan. I wouldn't go there better off going to five guys.
After doing karaoke next door with three friends, we stopped in for dinner and drinks. The food was definitely good — no complaints there — and our server was awesome. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic when we brought up our concern. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when we used the bathroom. The smell was absolutely horrendous. It seems like there may be an issue between the street and the building, as the odor backing up into the restroom was overwhelming. It felt like a serious health concern, and I immediately had to gag and walk out. Again, the food and vibes were great, and our server handled the situation as best as he could. I was told they’re moving to a new location soon, and I truly wish them well. I hope the new space doesn’t have these bathroom issues, because aside from that, it could have been a great night
First time in NY, this place looked like a good place. Ordered food, calamari which was actually good. The steak was unflavored but cooked right, the side of mashed potatoes were plain and also unseasoned. A Coke cost $5 in a small tall glass full of ice with about less than half a 12oz can of soda in it. Asked for a refill thinking nothing of it, when I got the bill, there was two charges for coke. I can’t believe I was charged $10 for them splitting a 12oz can…. Would have been nice to know that there would be an extra charge. And also the size of the beverage beforehand. Service was subpar.
Took my family to NYC to see the Christmas decorations at Rockefellar Center, and ate brunch at the Liberty NYC. We were five adults so we ordered five entrees including two french toasts, one omelette, and two heuvos rancheros. Surprised when all of them arrived with tater tots. Tater tots are great, if you’re 5 years old. Usually at brunch you have a choice of home fries or french fries, but that would have required actual cooking rather than microwaving. I guess the chef at Liberty has better things to do than cook yummy food. Even worse, our waitress pulled a “bait and switch” on us. First she tells us coffee includes free refills, and later she says she only charged us for one coffee. After I pay the check and leave her a nice tip, I discover she charged us for two coffees. When I ask her why she told me she charged us for just one coffee but actually charged us for two, she says she made a mistake. I stand there puzzled, but she does not offer to correct her mistake. So I’m out $5 plus a generous tip. Had I known she was going to play games I wouldn’t have tipped her at all. The tip is based on service, not food, and we received unsatisfactory service. Bottom line, don’t waste your money or disappoint your family/friends by eating at the Liberty NYC.
