Very quality breakfast experience. I am very particular when it comes to Eggs Benedict. The egg has to be poached perfectly, so the yolk runs. The hollandaise has to be texturally smooth, but light and creamy. All expectations were met. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, and the crepe was a great finish! I would recommend this place to anyone
It was one cool summer morning when my girlfriend my dog and I were on a stroll and decided to eat breakfast. We popped our heads up and saw “OEB breakfast” and decided to give it a try… I have never written a review for a restaurant before but this place was definitely worth it. The food is amazing and staff is friendly. They even gave my pup some water and made sure he felt at home. I am definitely coming back to this place and I recommend it to everybody!!!! THANKS OEB!!
I went early on a Saturday morning and was able to get a table no problem. Got the classic breakfast and it was very delicious. Service was great. Will definitely be back.
All of the food was wonderful and our waiter Cesar absolutely made our visit. He was so kind and funny and constantly checked in on us. He left us with the kindest words at the end that made us tear up. He was on top of everything and treated us like family. All the workers there from the hosts to food runners were extremely nice too. Every single thing at OEB was a hit!
Very nice outpost of a franchise chain that originated in Canada. The local owner is very attentive and it is reflected in the quality and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and seem happy also a testimony to a well run place. The breakfast Gnocchi Carbonara are very good, rich but not too much and also not to salty which makes them a unusual but very nice brunch item.
Another amazing breakfast/brunch spot that is close to home. I love how bright and cheerful it is inside. Service was excellent and the food was just as amazing. We ordered the Chilaquiles, Not So Boring French Toast and a lobster bowl (poutine). All portions were good enough to fill two hungry adults, maybe even 3 people. Their menu is extensive and we can’t wait to go back and try more items.
Love this breakfast spot. They have so many options and the food is SO good! Indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly on the patio. The service was excellent. Our server Rob was very attentive. We arrived around 9am on on a Saturday morning, and were sat right away. We had delicious coffee in front of us within minutes of being sat. I had a hard time deciding what to eat with all the amazing choices. You have to get the duck fat potatoes they are to die for. I can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes.
My experience here was by far one of the best days off from work. Me and my wife not only enjoyed the food but the service that came behind it, from the cooks to the server and even the Owner! We were welcomed with warm hospitality that we decided to get bottomless mimosas to see if the atmosphere here fit our style! Let me tell you the food was very delicious and I can say without a doubt that we will be coming back again with our whole family! The Owner looks like he takes pride of his staff from the cooks to the manager! They absolutely know how to run a restaurant. FYI dont be alarmed if the food takes a little longer than usual its totally worth it!!!!! Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Hospitality 5/5 Restrooms 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Totally worth tipping here 👌
The waiter that waited on us was phenomenal. He made our stop here more than worth it. The food is delicious. I highly recommend.
Super clean, great hospitality spot for breakfast until 2:00 p.m. daily. Original location based in Canada and has now branched out to various locations including this gem in Newport Beach, SoCal. Friendly hospitable and welcoming service, in a super clean environment with excellent Chef planned and prepared meals.
The amazing food was matched by the amazing service. Cesar (waiter) made the brunch extra special in treating every customer like family. What a fantastic place! We will be back! Thank you Cesar!
Holy flip SO Good! Not cheap, and the coffee is a bit subpar, but that's alright. The food however, is on another level. They hang cure thier own pork in the dining room so I got talked into the Gold Digger dish and was blown away. The dish is like a rich and satisfying poutine benedict combo with brown butter holondaise. Its very heavy and intense flavors, but just incredible. Highly recommend. Thier Duck Confit looked good too. Next time.
So 👏🏼 good 👏🏼! We make the 30-40min drive easy to come here and it's one of our top breakfast/brunch spots. The dishes are creative and the food is great quality and so flavorful!! The staff are nice and we've had a great experience with service every time 👌🏼
Wonderful Experience – Tasty & Generous Portions We had a great visit The Banana Berry was refreshing and delicious, a perfect start. The Chicken Bowl was very good – flavorful and satisfying. The French Toast was a highlight – perfectly done and the portion is generous enough for two to share. Overall, a really good experience. Friendly vibes and definitely worth coming back. Highly recommend
Absolutely love OEB! Portions are perfect. The food is delicious. The service is great on the weekends. You’ll have to wait for a table but they get it pretty quickly. Sometimes you have to wait about 30 minutes. Huge selection of breakfast food to choose from. Everything is excellent here.
It's only a matter of time before this place is discovered. Get in before there are crowds. If you ate waffles at 100 breakfast joints, this one might be the only one that gets a Belgian waffle right. The bulgogi Benedict is WILD. The only thing to not like about this place is that it may not have some of your breakfast favorites, but you need to try what they do have, because this menu is full of winners.
What a treat! Holy Crab was delicious. There was no mistake that you were having crab. The beef tallow fries were fantastic as advertised. Shishito peppers were perfect with brunch. The French toast was substantial and the pancake was soft with just a little chew to it. Super cute interior. The whole family approved.
Had the Crab Benedict - Best I’ve ever had. The potatoes are fried in Tallow and are incredible delicious. Highly recommended ❤️ my wife had the bacon and eggs with pancakes and OMG it’s the best pancake I’ve ever had. Fantastic breakfast and lunch menus. Healthy dining with inside and outside eating. Plenty of free parking. Endy was fantastic and welcoming to all patrons. Checking with us to be sure everything is beyond excellent. Food was served fast and hot and super delicious. It the first time I’ve been treated with fresh ground pepper on my breakfast.
Randomly stopped by for breakfast and had the best experience! Food was great and Julio gave us the best service. He was so kind and made us feel extremely welcomed and taken care of. We will definitely come back!
OEB was delicious. They had a large variety of food on the menu. I got the breakfast tacos and they were so good. We also got a mimosa flight, this was super fun and it was a good amount of drink for the price we paid.
Stopped by OEB for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was great! Only waited about 15 minutes, food and coffee were good, and the staff were super friendly. Not too crowded, so that was a bonus. Would def go back!
Went to this place yesterday, while on vacation. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was so delicious. The server was very accommodating with one of my kids order as it was served wrong. Very pleased with our visit.
After visiting this cafe in Vancouver I was delighted to find one in Newport Beach! Food was fantastic! OEB breakfast bowls are sooo good 🤤, largely because of the duck fat fried potatoes. You can do 50/50 potatoes and fresh greens mix, which is perfect. Decaf coffee is just as good as regular. Lastly, the desserts, they not only look great, but taste amazing as well! Good service and easy parking. No cons really, definitely recommend this place.
I had an amazing breakfast experience at OEB Breakfast Co!! The food was absolutely delicious especially the shakshuka, which is such a great option for vegans. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with a charming artisan touch to every dish. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that we felt well taken care of. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy spot with fantastic food and wonderful service!
One of those places where I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pictures of my food first. The Bulgogi Benedict was delicious a little too much onion for me but the flavor made it bearable. Potatoes were cooked perfectly and had such great flavors. Also shared a traditional breakfast plate that came with eggs, sausage and two well sized pancakes! Staff was so nice and attentive. I will for sure be back to try other items.
I discovered an amazing brunch spot. Come with me! Highlights of the menu: 1. Lobster scramble 2. Gold digga - poached eggs, Berkshire roast pork 3. Belgian waffle 4. Banana berry burst 5. Tropical mango I love their nice interior design, so bright and colorful I love it. Got so many cute photos after a yummy fun brunch time here. Quick service. This is such a place that brighten up my mood and weekend brunch. Chilling with good food! I can hang here all day!
As someone who loves eggs and breakfast, this place did not disappoint. I absolutely loves the food here and the staff was amazing. There are so many options and everything looked good. Decided to go with the recommended option of bulgogi eggs Benedict on my first visit and it was fantastic. Gf loved it as well and thought the food was superb. We will def be returning.

Super good food and service. Endy was amazing, kind, and catered to all of our needs. The other staff were super cute, and while I was there interacted with a little girl in such a fun way. The shakshuka is incredible and I recommend it heavily.

First time I only had coffee, which is very good and they have heavy cream. This time I ordered the Chicken Club and it was delicious. I didn't care for the fried potatoes that came with the sandwich, very crunchy almost burnt. So next time I'll opt for the salad instead. The inside is so cute and they have their own patio but I sat in the shops outdoor seating, so lovely. And there free wifi. Great Spot.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant after searching for a decent breakfast spot and something other than an ihop or dennys. I ordered the classic breakfast and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the beef tallow potatoes. They were crispy and seasoned well. I do prefer my bacon cooked a little more but I probably should have asked for that when ordering. I would definitely come back when in town.
If I could give this place 6 out of 5 stars I would. Shasuka, Madam Croquet, and breakfast gnocchi on the same menu. All executed perfectly. I have been to this place 3 times in 2 weeks. The bang for buck is magnificent, the ingredients and presentation is amazing. My last time there a lady brought her stupid instagram cat on a leash to the outside seating. The idiot was feeding her cat ON TOP THE TABLE. The staff cared enough to tell her to get her cat off the top of the table. FINALLY a staff that gives a crap about unsanitary idiots who embarrass themselves. The drink prices are also VERY good considering the location. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this spot. PLEASE KEEP these standards and you’ll have lifelong customers.

Finally made it over to OEB, because we’ve been eagerly awaiting its opening since we moved to the area! Just came in for coffee but once I saw the Belgian waffle was gluten free, I knew I had to try it. Delicious!! The waiter was very helpful and understanding in acknowledging my gluten intolerance/allergy (Celiac), and even noted upfront that the waffle has almond extract to warn those with nut allergies (although this should be mentioned on the menu to warn those allergic.). I suppose this is my never ending wish for all restaurants to be more allergy-friendly, like most of the rest of the world! Unfortunately, we came on a day when they seemed understaffed and things seemed pretty chaotic. No one came to our table to even offer coffee for a while so I just ordered drip since I was nervous a latte would take too long. The waffle came out fairly quickly though. The staff was all very kind and welcoming. Hopefully the understaffed experience is just part of new restaurant growing pains and isn’t a regular occurrence. We’ll definitely be back here soon, I just hope they add more GF items to the menu!
We stumbled upon this great restaurant by chance. Loved the choice of colors, the pleasant server and their creative menu. Noticed the great report with their repeat customers. We loved the experience so much that we decided to pay a second visit a day later, (which is a rarity since we like to try just about any good restaurant around). We found the true reason behind this creative restaurant. The owner who’s a seasoned restauranteur from Canada, decided to introduce his uniquely simple idea to California. A pleasant man, who loves to meet his customers and provide a memorable experience every day. His passion is evident in his pleasant employees, the delicious food and the ambiance. Keep up the good work.
EDITING MY REVIEW: Service SUCKS! Especially if you get "Cesar "! Doesn't ask if you need anything. I had to ask for water, bigger plates to share the meals with 3 little ones, more napkins, etc. Asked for very soft scrambled eggs and got hard scrambled eggs. I think he's racist and maybe prejudiced? PREVIOUS REVIEW: My daughter loves this restaurant for its natural ingredients! I, personally, like the greasy and junk food, but I went to OEB for my grandkids because my daughter insisted. To my surprise (I guess you have to know what to order), I ordered the 3-some and two child meals (pancakes and French toast). Surprisingly, we ate up all the food! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was conducive to eating and relaxing!
Very Cute well designed Egg theme breakfast shop. We had egg breakfast and nachos set and signature latte. The ham is flavored with rosemary while the waffles are buttered with almond milk I think. The Nachos mixed with fresh tomatoes slices as well as fresh avocado along with beans pastes taste quite fresh not heavy at all. The latte is well brewed and balanced with the milk while the bitterness kicks in a bit. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience and the staff are friendly.
Birthday brunch with the cousins today. This was on our list of places to try so we went for it. Chilaquiles were ordered twice, with substitutions, waffles for the birthday girl and the farmer John’s special for me. Order a Diet Coke and they handed me a bottle of DC with a glass of ice. Bummer. I love fountain drinks. The chilaquiles had a hint of cinnamon in the sauce. Not a fan of adding cinnamon and it took away some of the flavor. HUGE skillet full. It’s a ton of food. Tables are too small for such big plates! The Farmer John’s plate was good but lacked flavor. Needed salt & pepper but we didn’t ask for any. Waffles were good when whipped cream and a side of berries were added. The server was great but we had to keep asking for ice tea refills. It was fresher brewed tea so it was hot so we needed to keep asking for ice. One of the servers made a crazy eyed face at us! The butter for my toast was served as a small ball in a large metal cup. The ketchup was half full in a small metal cup. Perhaps they should switch the small & large cups and maybe fill them up a little more? Maybe they are conserving since people are wasteful. All in all it was good, not great.

OEB has a lot of potential but is not there yet. We went as a party of 3 during prime time on a Sunday. Joined the Yelp wait list and it moved quickly for a total of about 30 minutes waiting. However once we were seated the restaurant completely forgot about us. It took 25 minutes for a waitress to serve us water after the hostess Sat us. It took another 15 minutes for our drink order (iced coffee and Apple juice) to arrive. And the it took 20 minutes for our food to come. Thst is over an hour of time seated before eating after a half hour of waiting. However we were definitely an exception. Several tables were seated after us, ordered food, ate and left before we even got our food. Overall the food has potential. The Nutella French toast is bodacious with a healthy amount of marshmallow topping. Unfortunately it is heavily seasoned with cinammon which overshadows the hazelnut Nutella flavor. The Pork and Seafood bowl is a challenging combination. The scallops were merely okay lacking in much seasoning or sauce. The chunks of cures bacon are great but the food was somewhat cold when it was finally served. The crab Benedict was also disappointing. The crab was relatively unseasoned and didn't stand out between the excellent croissant muffin base and the hollandaise sauce. The duck far herb potatoes are the standout item. Crispy delicious and we'll seasoned. We also ordered the pierogies and bangers. The pierogies were delicious with a strong peppery flavor and great texture. The Chicken sausages were merely okay.
not a restaurant, excludes all the others.. I told him that I do not eat pork at all.. and he told me that pastrami is chicken.. When he brought it, I did not like the look and I asked another servant.. so he told me that it was a pig!!! When he came back again he said it was beef? Lying and deceiving
