Un posto splendido! Ogni dettaglio e’ curato nei minimi particolari, dall’arredo al cibo, dai sorrisi del personale e della famiglia Pircher e poi le splendide valli. Che dire, un’esperienza da vivere! Speriamo di vederci presto!

Abbiamo mangiato presso il Restaurant Adler Stube a pranzo. Siamo rimasti stupiti dalla gentilezza,cortesia e pulizia,posto consigliatissimo. Cibo buonissimo e ben presentato. Sicuramente da ritornarci.

Villabassa pare edificata intorno all'Hotel- Ristorante Adler, centro vivo del paese questa storica magione propone piatti tipici e soddisfacenti della tradizione, rivisitati in chiave moderna senza nulla trascurare del sapore antico, ma aggiungendo un tocco originale e piacevole. Detto della splendida stube lignea interna, siamo stati colpiti dalla confortevole veranda sobriamente illuminata e arredata e ottimamente serviti dalla gentile signora "Fini" ineccepibile e cordiale. Birra spinata autoctona e importante carta dei vini, non resterete delusi e la serata, che alla digestione si avvia, non sarà più di tanto turbata dal conto...qualità si diceva e tanto basta!

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante e l’esperienza è stata davvero molto positiva, una serata che ci ricorderemo con piacere. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto davvero eccezionale: il carpaccio di trota, senza dubbio il piatto che ci è piaciuto di più, fresco, ben bilanciato e presentato con grande cura. A seguire abbiamo assaggiato un primo piatto di spaghetti all’aglio nero e bottarga, buono e originale anche se, per essere sinceri, il sapore della bottarga era un po’ delicato e ci sarebbe piaciuto sentirlo un po' di più, ma comunque un piatto piacevole. I secondi sono stati entrambi molto validi: la guancia di maiale iberico tenerissima, saporita al punto giusto, e il fegato di vitello, che per chi ama il genere è stato davvero eccellente, cotto alla perfezione. Per concludere abbiamo assaggiato il loro gelato fatto in casa, che merita assolutamente: buonissimo e perfetto per chiudere la cena in dolcezza. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, cortese e attento senza mai risultare invadente. Il locale è davvero molto bello, elegante e curato in ogni dettaglio, un ambiente caldo e raffinato che rende la serata ancora più piacevole. Anche il conto è stato perfettamente in linea con la qualità di quanto abbiamo mangiato. Consigliatissimo per una cena speciale o semplicemente per chi ama mangiare bene in un bel posto.

We were welcomed by extremely friendly staff into this incredible space with a mix of authentic and modern interior. Everything on the menu looked tempting, so our wonderful waiter Josip helped us with his recommendations and a wine pairing suitable for our dishes. We ordered the Schlutzkrapfen (ravioli with brown butter), tagliata from organic chicken and local ox steak. In addition to this Josip offered a side dish with freshly picked chanterelles that wasn’t on the menu. We shared cinnamon dumplings for dessert. The food was delicious and the atmosphere amazing. The waiters were very attentive, and Josip especially made our dining experience one we will remember.

We were looking for dinner after having been to nearby Lago Di Braies. This was the perfect stop. The place is so unassuming. The parking is right outside, very convenient and the decor is like an old vintage art-style. Food was fantastic, true to Tiroli food. We had the ragu and the cheese dumplings. For dessert, we had the blueberries and yogurt ice cream. The only thing we couldn’t figure out was the strange farm-animal smell outside the hotel and along the hotel corridors to the bathroom.

We ate here twice during our stay. The first visit was fantastic—delicious dishes served on time, and the woman who took care of us was incredibly kind and attentive. The location is also beautiful, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book a table for the next day. For our second visit, we requested to sit indoors, as the interior is beautifully decorated. Our reservation was confirmed twice, even via message, and we were assured we’d have the best spot. When we arrived, we were shown to our table inside, but after a few minutes, a waitress returned to say there had been a mistake and some tables had been switched. We were asked to move and ended up at the same outdoor table as the night before. Although we were disappointed, we appreciated the staff’s apologies and understood that mistakes can happen. We were still looking forward to the food. Unfortunately, the second experience didn’t live up to the first. We ordered the same risotto we had enjoyed the previous night, but this time it was so salty it was actually painful to finish. We also ordered a beef steak with vegetables (well done) and a butcher’s steak with spinach and potatoes. When our main courses arrived, something seemed off immediately. I received a well-cooked steak with spinach (which I’m allergic to and had specifically avoided), and my fiancé got a steak with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. Assuming we may have ordered incorrectly, we started eating without complaining. However, a couple of minutes later, the waitress returned to say our dishes had been given to another table by mistake. Without asking if we wanted to keep our meals, she took them away. Just a minute later, they returned with new plates, claiming everything had been remade—though it’s hard to believe they could cook fresh meals that quickly. My fiancé was given what appeared to be three of the four pieces of steak I had previously received (I had already eaten one), again with spinach, and no potatoes. I was served a very rare steak with vegetables, topped with a sauce so spicy it completely overpowered the taste of the meat. At this point, we were frustrated but decided to just switch our plates and finish the meal. Honestly, we’ll never really know what we actually ate. We wanted dessert but didn’t feel like spending any more money on an experience that had become so disappointing. The total was €78.50. While we completely understand that mistakes can happen, what was disappointing was the lack of consideration afterward—no complimentary dessert, no glass of wine, no discount, nothing to acknowledge the inconvenience. We paid quite a lot for a meal we didn’t enjoy at all, and we left feeling let down. We had such a great first night, but sadly, the second visit ruined the overall impression.

Pessima esperienza in quanto consigliato dalle Guide Michelin abbiamo deciso di provare… nel antipasto hanno dimenticato un ingrediente, ordiniamo due secondi e un risotto, ci troviamo con i secondi (filetto di manzo buono, lombo di cervo pessimo due pezzi nel piatto con cotture diverse) in tavola mentre il risotto e arrivato dopo 8 minuti (in un posto del genere non deve succedere per nessuna motivazione) di conseguenza abbiamo mangiato la carne fredda per poter mangiare insieme. Fatto presente la mia esperienza negativa e non ci e stato detto nulla in merito. Location piacevole, servizio di sala educato il signore che ci ha seguito, carta vini non corrisponde alla carta vini vista sul sito. Avrei voluto passare una serata più piacevole.

The waitress looked us up and down before refusing us a table, after a day of hiking. The restaurant was supposed to be full, but of course it was not. Cross the street, the restaurants are much more friendly and respectful.
