We ate there thanks to a friend's recommendation, and it was an incredible experience! We ordered croquettes, octopus, and cod—we couldn't choose which was the best! The flavor was amazing, and the portions were generous. If anyone is ever in that area, I highly recommend it. The desserts also deserve a mention: the cheesecake and the French toast were some of the best I've ever had!
High-quality local restaurant! O Colmado is a place serving traditional Galician food. It has a traditional bar atmosphere, without frills or pretensions, but with very good food. The octopus portion was perfect; it was perfectly tender and delicious. Razor clams were very generous and served with fresh, quality ingredients. The confit cod brandade toast was innovative and very well executed, with a delicious combination of cod and jam. Filloa was a typical Galician dessert that was a great end to our dinner! As you can see from the portions, we didn't leave hungry! The service was always excellent, and they served our dishes as soon as they were finished. A very good experience, we will return!
Great in every way!! I've been there for three days and all three were great!! The octopus pizza is a must. The meat is very good. The service is fantastic. I can only say good things. I don't understand the bad reviews I read from some people, but of course, it never rains to everyone's liking!! You can't miss the opportunity to try it if you're in A Lanzada!
An unpretentious restaurant. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service is "ultra-fast," at least for what we ordered on the three occasions we came here. Yes! During a week's vacation in this area, it was the only restaurant we went back to, and we came here three times! We ate razor clams twice (fabulous), wild boar (fabulous), octopus twice (very good), and clams (very good). The prices are acceptable: around €25 per person (with beer, not wine). I highly recommend it.
My boyfriend and I were on vacation in the area and ended up having dinner here two nights because we loved it so much. The waitresses were very professional, especially one of them, who was always attentive and kept stopping by to ask if everything was okay. The octopus pizza was a 20/20! The prices are very competitive. 100% recommended. Parking is easy if you're driving. And the beach is right next door.
Family run, great food.
We ordered ensalada templada and croquetas con chiporones. I consider this combination the best for lunchtime. Go very well with a glass of Albarino
We had such a lovely dinner here. The service was excellent, they were literally running to get the food out as fast as possible. Everything we ate was super delicious. Highly recommended. Probably we were the only non Spanish speakers here at the restaurant, but what I love about Spanish people that even if they don't speak so good English they at least try their best and when they do speak very good English they apologise for their poor English skills. So the menu was in Spanish but at the end we managed to order superb food.
Family run, authentic, quality food at good value and friendly service. Don't be fooled by the unpretentious setting
This is my first time at this restaurant. The service from the staff was excellent, the food was more than acceptable, and the value for money was very good. Highly recommended.
The food is delicious. It's a very good restaurant, although the octopus was a bit chewy on the two occasions I ate there, but it was still delicious. And every time I went, which was about five times this summer, there weren't any razor clams. So, as a recommendation, if you want razor clams, go very early to eat them. P.S.: I love scallops.
A good place to eat. Very good quality and price. They were a bit overwhelmed when we arrived, but the service and food were actually good. We had a slightly distracted waitress, but the owner or manager was very attentive. The squid was a little tough, but I think ours was more cooked than the ones at the surrounding tables. Things happen. But both the razor clams and the steak were spectacular.
Everything on the menu is totally worth it. Whether you're into meat, fish, desserts, or pizzas, this place never disappoints. I totally recommend it and defenitely will come back. The octopus pizza is to die for, and all the croquettes are absolutely delicious. The pork secreto melts in your mouth, and the desserts are not only super tasty but also beautifully crafted. Plus, the fish is always fresh. If you're in the area, you gotta check this place out!
Friendly and welcoming restaurant just back from the beach. Service was attentive and the food was very nicely cooked. We enjoyed zamburinas and pizza with octopus.
Great seafood, great affordable local albariño and nice desserts. Friendly crew but a little bit understaffed leading to some waiting times, but overall a recommended place
We were satisfied with the restaurant. The menu is only in spanish, but the waitress was helpful to help us order. Everithing was very good except the fried calamari were average and french fries als…
My wife and I went here a couple times as overall disappointed with the region in general. I'd give it it average rating for food. The waitresses are very kind and I would probably give lower if it weren't for them. Food has some consistency issues, worth trying their pulpo pizza. I'd recommend if you don't know where else to try, but we probably won't be returning.
I've been coming here for years (before COVID the quality was excellent) and I've noticed how some of the portions have gotten smaller. This year, I was shocked by a €16 portion of fried calamari, when half the plate was French fries! Unbelievable rip-off… I didn't say anything out of embarrassment! What a way to deceive people… a shame. See photo
No volveremos.
We went with high expectations based on the menu and reviews. Upon arrival, we were seated, and once we were seated, the waitress told us that almost nothing was left on the menu... and offered us the set menu... We ordered the set menu. Large portions for a low price... But the quality only appeared in the desserts; they were the only carefully prepared items worth ordering. The set menu... Basic, poorly prepared food, lacking any care and even less flavor... A dry, tough pork knuckle, an oily, burnt breaded cutlet, and clams... Good grief... Marinara-style, without sauce, salt, or anything... Floating in a tasteless liquid... The place was crammed with tables packed very close together. There was barely any room to move, the waiters struggled to get around, and it was common to be bumped into as they passed. The noise level was extremely high, so much so that it was almost impossible to have a conversation. Being near the sea, it's quite windy, and the enclosed structure bangs against the tables, making a tremendous amount of noise. All the sounds from inside—dishes, cutlery—reverberate. We didn't like it at all; it's not an experience we would recommend.
Quite disappointing, especially the service, and the prices were outrageous. They didn't even clean the table and just slapped the tablecloths on us to eat. We ordered a salad to share, and three minutes later they brought our main courses... Seriously! I thought I was in a Galician restaurant, not a Chinese place. The plates and platters didn't even fit on the table. I asked them to wait until we finished, but before we'd even finished the salad, the fish was already back on our table. Also, beware of the sole! It's priced like something for the wealthy, and they don't even warn you that it's more than double the price of any other dish. I felt ripped off, €34 FOR A SOLE... that's just too much! And finally, we ordered our coffees from a waiter, who neither brought them nor cared. He started clearing the tables, and when we asked for them after quite a while, his response was that they had already been ordered... 😱 After another wait, another waiter finally brought them. Completely unprofessional! And these exorbitant prices are clearly communicated. The customer must be informed and allowed to decide whether or not they want to pay for them.
