Absolutely phenomenal experience today. The gentleman taking my order in the drive-thru was very professional, patient, and polite. The lady that gave me my food asked if I wanted sauce, which I'm glad she did because I almost forgot to ask for malt vinegar. The food was very fresh and tasted just like I remember when I was younger. Thank you so much!

Food was very good and came very fresh and hot. Prices were reasonable, too. Unfortunately, the floor was super sticky and needed a good mopping.

The grilled shrimp tacos are amazing. I usually get a #4 sub for shrimp but recently had to order everything a la carte. The store could be cleaner, but its a great stop for a quick fish meal.

Haven't been to any LJS in over 4+ years because the quality of the food was not great. Pleasantly surprised the food was better than I expected. I had the fish and chicken platter, cheese bites and a soda. It was fresh and not soggy like my previous encounters. The food was good and soda was not flat like my very last time at a LJS location.

Delicious, greasy goodness. Highly recommend hush puppies as one of your sides. The fish is fried to perfection and pairs well with malt vinegar or tartar sauce. They serve Pepsi products here as well. Owners and family members can be a little stingy with sauces and will usually give you half the amount you request. Someone else got one cocktail sauce for a sea share lol. I get it, business is tough but they are so obvious about it. Be sure to download and use the app for reward specials, but beware they are no way connected to ordering in person as they are strictly online only specials.

I like getting the chicken platter with fries & hush puppies & sprite drink etc. Sucks they don't have BBQ sauce no more, for I want that with my chicken tenders though, lol.

The last time I was there it was not a good experience. It was only my second time there and I had been trying to order from the app both times so I could earn the points towards the rewards but it kept giving me error messages. Both times I went through the drive-thru. The first time I was there when I told the woman the app was giving me an error message when I tried to place the order she said she was able to take care of it for me and I got my order with the discounted price, wonderful service! The last time I was there, there was a younger girl maybe in her early twenties with black hair with an attitude and she told me she wasn't able to do anything about it. When I got up to the window I showed her my phone to prove that I had an error message on it. She just leaned against the side of the window and told me in a nasty tone and attitude that she couldn't do anything about it. I said I would try to fix it again and then come back through and she shut the window on me. I ended up having to delete the card that I had already entered on the app and replace it with a different one and it worked and allowed me to enter the promo code and place my order. I then went back through the drive-thru and there was a different woman who was very nice and the rude girl was gone. So the low rating in service was because of the younger girl not the older woman that helped me.

It's not The Long John Silver's of old. It has been a very long time. It was a favorite of mine 80's & 90's. The look of the fried fish pieces had a different look. Maybe it was fried longer or maybe the oil gave it a dark orangey look and not the light color of most batter dipped fried foods. It still taste the same so no problem there. Had a pretty cool promotion, can pick one SeaShare (I chose the 6 fish) for spending $25. That's very easy these days at most fast food restaurants. The promotion was a $14 value. Not bad. Also the fries are now Waffle Fries. That made a nice difference in the meal. Overall decent meal great value with the promo.

“DO NOT” I repeat “DO NOT” order their “GRILLED SALMON” even by mistake. The salmon was soooooo OVERCOOKED that at one point I felt like I’m chewing on a NASTY GUM. Even my cat refused to eat it. I spent $40 for crying out loud.

Sunday, 1/11/2026 - We always love eating at Long John Silvers. We usually go to this one at 7228 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95823. But as we were driving around today, we saw this one up in North Highlands. Address is 3605 Elkhorn Blvd, North Highlands, CA 95660. I didn't see much pictures on Yelp for this location, so decided to take some pictures to promote them, since we like Long John Silvers. As I was taking photos, one of the staff calls someone on the phone. A few seconds later, comes and ask me why I'm taking pictures (cell phone still in her hands). I told her I'm going to Yelp this restaurant, is that not ok? And if not, I won't promote their restaurant. She said she just needed to let her manger know. Then I hear her go back on her cell phone letting her manager know. It didn't seem very...... friendly? Maybe Defensive? Not Nice? Maybe Paranoid? ..... not sure how to word the moment. I'm giving this location a 2 star for that. But besides that, same foods as the other location. And we still love it. Love the crunchiness. Love the fried,battered fish and chicken. Love the coleslaw. We miss the normal fries. We don't like the waffle fries. I hope they change it back. There is a condiment table, you can get your own sodas and tea refill, lots of parking, and plenty of stores in this plaza and this area to shop. Attached are some of the photos I was able to take. Cons: my little one said the other Long John Silver's (in south Sacramento) tasted better than this one. She said this one had a slight different taste to the foods that she didn't like.

I ordered a combo meal that was listed at $13 and some change and told them I wanted a Pepsi as my drink, they tell me the total is $18 so I thought that was odd. I get to the window and ask if the drink wasn’t included and was told it wasn’t, I already had a soda and water in my car so I told the lady I didn’t need a drink “especially for $4”, she proceeds to tell me she already made the drink, what? So since you made the drink it’s set in stone and I can’t take it off my bill? What place has a combo that doesn’t come with a drink?

This LJ restaurant was the worst place I have been to. When you enter it had a awful sewer smell . We almost turned and left. But we were so hungry and didnt want to make another stop. The Indian man taking the order couldn't explain or tell us about anything. Then we say for here and they put everything in all these paper bags like 7 paper bags. And the food was terrible. Was not the food 8 remember having. The chicken and the fish was so much smaller and it was very crunchy over battered and over cooked. Lacked flavor on top of it. No fries . They had those patatoe waffle fries, that were undercooked seemed like they were microwaved. And it was so expensive on top of it. We will not be returning there again. And I would not recommend this long johns to anyone seeking a good meal

This food was very horrible. Over cooked fish/chicken. It was sooo dry I didn't even eat it. Heck they didn't even have the correct Tarter sauce. It was some Heinz tarter sauce. The sad part about this is I LOVED LJS. NOT ANYMORE!! I SPENT $35 for complete disappointment.. And had to drive out of the way because tge 1 near my home closed down. So who ever is reading this 🤔 DO NOT GO TO THE LONG JOHN SILVERS IN North Highlands,Ca. On Watt Ave and Elkhorn Blvd.
