Great choice for a great dinner. Sandi our server was so knowledgeable about drinks and entries, I was amazed. The table shared the calamari and my entry was the tenderloin cooked perfectly. RARE Thank You.

Amazing food and staff! Went there for dinner and it was sooo delicious it was hard to not want to order more food. We also hosted our baby shower there and Erin was so great to work with. They did anything they could to help accommodate our guests and make sure the shower was a success! Will be back for more!!!

Excellent food.. very friendly staff .. I had the Lamb Special that was cooked to perfection, and my wife had the Scallops special and was also cooked to perfection .. topped it off with Coffee and the cinnamon bread pudding ... definitely going back again ...

Great! The beer was very delicious, and the fresh salad was also fantastic. The service was courteous and polite. Plus, everything was very affordable.

Such a classy elegant place to grab a bite to eat and share an experience with. The food is cooked to perfection and each course is expertly served by friendly staff. The meal takes longer to make but that is because it is made with love and care. The desserts are just as good as the rest of the food here. I recommend the ginger snap cone with their ice cream for dessert.

Love this place. We used to meet often pre-Covid as a part of our Friday evening “meeting”. Definitely has the ambiance and vibe for having a chill outing. Haven’t had real food / dinner lately but from the past encounters, it was great.

Great food overall. Portion sizes are good, the calamari, jambalaya, and pot roast were awesome. Chowder was too watery for my taste but the flavor was good. I also happen to really like thick chowders, so take my comment with a grain of salt

Known about this restaurant for a very long time finally made it last night. Can’t believe I waited so long the food was impeccable. The calamari was spot on steak tips were cooked. The perfection. Can’t say enough about this restaurant. If you haven’t been it’s a must 10 out of 10.

My favorite restaurant!! The tenderloin is delicious and I always get an order of deviled eggs there and one to go. Always friendly and attentive wait staff. This place is special, I haven't gotten a single thing off the menu I didn't like. My fiance and I always go for our anniversary and my birthday and we recommend it to everyone we know.

Overall very impressed with the restaurant. Waitstaff was friendly and the atmosphere was consistent and well done. Food was phenomenal from everyone at the table. I personally had the short rib and it was noteworthy. I'm not a huge grits person but these were creamy, not slimy or gritty, and delicious with the brie and port sauce. Portions were more than generous. Vast majority of people couldn't finish their plate. This was the only meal i ate today and i ended up a little over full. I don't know if this is normal or not, but it was quite slow. There were some large groups that might have backed the kitchen up, but we were there for about two hours.

Well folks .. I’m here to let you know that WE found a wonderful place in Northborough. We selected Romaine’s at 299 West Main Street. We had a reservation at 5:45 but arrived early. Water was poured as we were seated which was most welcome as it was 95 out. A most charming waitress, I am sorry that I did not get her name, mid thirties with a loose bob haircut. The offered a number of beers on tap, but of the five of us, two selected a pomegranate “Mocktail” which they said was fantastic. My brother and I had perfectly made Stoli Dirty Martinis with Blue Cheese Stuffed jumbo olives. We were told the specials as well as the background on the Chef who is from the South and loves to showcase the food from the area. To start we shared with super crisp homemade fries with delicious blue cheese dipping sauce. Then Harissa glazed roasted heirloom carrots. The Creole BBQ Shrimp were perfectly cooked and their grilled bread for dipping was perfect. We also had a most generous size of Brie with was served with Fig Jam on crostini. Two of the group had a special of Panzanella with chicken. Two additional guests had the Chicken Piccata who was juicy and just the right amount of lemon and sugar. I had the Pork Schnitzel which litterally the size of the dinner plate and a nice taste. It was set upon a grain mustard sauce. My brother had the steak strip and pommes frites. So yummy! The service was super attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu! Here is a photo from the website. While not a problem for me, but could be for someone in the next situation, was that the menu is on the smaller side. We had a few glasses of wine and several cokes. The total bill was 257 and we left a 70 tip for great service… which it was. I would go back soon!!

We had our dog agility annual banquet at Romaines and had a fabulous time! They're closed on Sunday so we had the restaurant to ourselves. They treated us like royalty! Fantastic service by kind staff and the food was wonderful. I had the Beef Tenderloin with broccolini and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection, so tender and flavorful. I finished up with the creme brulee, a generous and tasty portion. We enjoyed the evening so much we've already booked them for next year. I plan on going for dinner there soon and I recommend Romaines for a nice evening out. My only regret is that I didn't take any photos.

Discovered Romaine's searching for a place to eat after attending an event nearby. They were able to accommodate us (family of 4) quickly, service was great, food was delicious! Definitely recommend the calamari and the fish tacos! 😋

Delicious food, prompt service in a Cape Cody atmosphere. Loved the salad and veal bolognese. The porterhouse steak was cooked just right. Not a cheap place, it was worth the money.

Outstanding!! There were four in the party. All the meals were terrific. The two shrimp dishes, the pork chop, and the steak tips were all excellent. The server, Kim, was excellent also. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked terrific. We will be back soon!

Amazing menu! A must try ..fried green tomatoes. The Caesar salad was fantastic. Bread amazing. Salmon dish with fava bean succotash the most delicious thing I've had in a while! Thank you Tina for my birthday dinner!

Excellent small town public house. The staff have always been wonderful the beer is good and fresh, the cocktails are good but menu could use some new real craft cocktails ( don’t put sweet soda in real cocktail). Food is solid a menus have something for everyone and the specials go fast! Romaines is a reason to live in Northborough!

The beef tenderloin was delishous! The meet was tender and cooked to perfection. The shrimp Alfredo was creamy and delishous as well. The apple bread pudding was amazing!

Had the Chef's Special BLT. Not your ordinary BLT, some arugula, and the balsamic vinegar take this sandwich to a higher level. Will definitely be back!

Been on my "want to go" list for a while and finally made it...definitely worth the wait! Absolutely loved the crispy brussel sprouts, bolognese and jambalaya, and barely had room for a definitely shareable brownie sundae. Paired with friendly, relaxed service, this was a great experience start to finish.

We celebrated my mom’s 100th birthday Saturday evening November 8th. Food and service were excellent. Romaine’s did not let us down, fulfilling all requests we made in preparation for her party.

Romaine’s is consistently one of THE BEST restaurants. Unbelievably great food, terrific service and awesome atmosphere. Totally relaxed and gourmet at the same time. Best restaurant in the area, I highly recommend.

We love this restaurant. Extremely professional, friendly, and efficient staff. Great menu. The only problem we have is trying to decide what to have! The food is excellent! Go there! I promise you’ll return!

Went with friends, did a tapas event. Brussel sprouts fantastic, brie amazing, soups well received, salad as well. Bread basket was good, shared cheesecake and chocolate cake. Service was awkward. Our server was very pleasant, but the timing was off. For instance, we ordered coffee and dessert. Coffee came, and the desserts arrived over 10 minutes later. The pseudo meal was the same way. Not bad, just no flow.

We finally made it back to Romaine’s after a few years — glad we did! Our server, Lauren, was fantastic and is definitely a great addition to the team. The Caesar salad was fresh and she kindly had the kitchen split it for us. The pastas were cooked perfectly, though it was a bit unexpected to have a fried, breaded cutlet with my piccata — but bonus points for the extra capers! The sticky toffee pudding was absolutely amazing — a must-try.

The food was great. They do a good job operationally. The quality of the food is good too. Some little things get missed though, and the service felt a bit rushed. Overall a solid choice though with tempered expectations. A nice go to spot for that area.

The food was good. In our group, most of us enjoyed our dinners - a few felt the flavors were strong. The portions were good to large. The server did a very good job, but you could tell she was running. They were busy. The atmosphere was great, but our table had a cold draft around it. The outside seating area looked cool, and I hope to go back when it is warmer!

This was a little expensive, but really decent food. I would ask the waitperson for how much the daily specials cost before you order as I ordered a rib eye steak and was sticker shocked at the price when I got the bill, $49. None of the prices were stated by the server on any of the daily "specials". I might have expected the prices to be a bit high in a stand alone restaurant, but for some reason I wouldn't expect them in a strip mall restaurant.

The haddock special with mashed potatoes was delicious.

This place has a great atmosphere. Dining area nice high ceilings and is nicely designed. The wait staff is probably one of the best I've seen. Attentive and very personable. The food is delicious and there is always variety. Don't expect anything basic here. It's all unique but not in an uppety way. It's a little pricey IMO but for a once in a while meal it's fantastic. Also decent for kids. They get a kick out of sitting in the high benches.

Menu was simple not overwhelming amount of choices. I was hoping to see some additional specials on the menu. Menu didn't Wow us, though. The atmosphere was cozy, calming and beautiful. My family ate appetizers fried Brussel sprouts, Ceasar salad, and Buffalo wings.. Dinner: Orzo Jambalaya, steak frittes, fish tacos, and a smash burger. Portions were good. Cost was about $160

Hidden gem in a shopping plaza. My wife and I had a calamari app slightly undercooked but lots of flavor f on the pickled peppers and sweet pepper relish. For a meal we had the lamb shank special which fell off the bone and the jambalaya which was as good as I had in New Orleans. Cocktails we good and the environment was laid back and inviting. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall would highly recommend and will be returning in the future.

Food was good. The Pork wings were a very unique take on Chicken wings but I found them a bit sweeter for my taste. Disappointed that we have to pay for bread basket. The seafood Diavolo was tasty so was the cam chowder. Daughter had chicken piccata and found that to be a bit bland.

It used to be awesome, pre-pandemic. Tonight it was underwhelming in every aspect. Not a bad restaurant, but it has certainly taken a turn for the worse. The food was good, the cocktail was not good, the service was meh. The music was too loud and not pleasant at all. It used to be out favorite. Sad to see the decline.

I had been here several years ago and found it to be an enjoyable experience. This time, I found the menu limited with some old favorites and some new. My wife had the steak and found it to a little tough and the mashed potatoes cold. I had the jambalaya and it was very good. Our waitress was attentive and polite. However, the delivery was erratic, which found us waiting for all to be served. Some in our party waited for the remaining people to be served. This was apparent with beginnings, main course and desert.

I feel like its just meh ... server was great Quiet evening. Slow pace

To start the crab cakes had onion/scallions in the mixture which over powered everything not to mention it seems it was majority filling then crab meat itself. The jambalaya had a distinct taste/flavor. The chicken wasn't very good in it. Overall for the price I would have excepted it to be a home run but it's was far from.

We ordered 4 dishes takeout. Deviled eggs were perfectly done, best ever for me. Beet salad tastey but carelessly arranged. Chicken wings subtly flavorful but vastly overcooked. Hard to overcook dark meat chicken but they managed it. Caesar salad plentiful but messed up the dressing order so way too dry. When I arrived it was clear our takeout order had fallen through the cracks but instead of admitting this and apologizing the hostess said it was being packaged. 12 minutes later she said in a surly way it was being packaged. To be fair she treated all of her dine-in customers the same. Not very professional for a well thought of place.
