I had the Mediterranean Pasta the night before starting my thru-hike of the Northville Placid Trail. It was delicious, the service was super fast, and the staff was so nice and helpful! Definitely would go again when I'm back in the area.

I saw Sport Island when I was looking for a spot to eat after a morning hike. It got good reviews and was close by so I stopped for lunch. There is a large back patio to enjoy a beautiful view of The Great sacandaga lake while enjoying lunch. I ordered the Burrata Salad and it was really good! I would definitely go back.

We sat on the enclosed porch which had a beautiful view overlooking the Sacandaga lake. I had the Jambalaya special for $15.99 which contained shrimp, chicken and Chorizo. It was great and the portion was larger than I could finish. My bride had Steak Sandwich Panini with sauteed Onions. She also enjoyed hers. Nice selection of draft beer but could improve their Cider choices. Overall a very nice experience. Staff were courteous and attentive.

In A Nutshell: -Sport Island Pub located in Northville is thee place to go if you want to watch sports in a energetic atmosphere in the Sacandaga Lake area. -It's a two level building located on the edge of the lake in the woods. -They have a nice sized bar w/ plenty of seating. -The food options are excellent they have pretty much all of the standard finger food & comfort foods you will find at any decent pub. Overall, this is a good option to come chill & hang out w/ the crew.

Beautiful seating/view on the outdoor patio. Quick and friendly service. Fair prices. Smokehouse Burger was well cooked and juicy. The Chicken Caesar Tortellini salad was huge and fresh. Chicken wings a a tasty medium sauce, but the wings themself had dry meat with little flavor.

They have very little gluten free, I tried the Nachos with out cheese sauce typically not GF and asked if I could just have the shredded cheese in its place the 1st time I got it, there wasn't very much cheese and everything was cold and the second time I asked if I could have some extra cheese they did not give extra and it was ice cold the chicken was cold the cheese was cold Nachos are not supposed to be iced cold I'll just come for drinks and entertainment not worth $18 for cold Nachos

I have been here a few times and it has always been ok, but not great. This past visit I got a burger and it was overdone. Service was just ok and then they charge you for each refill. I did not see anywhere on the menu where there are no free refills and it is not posted in the restaurant. For the price, I expect a little better. We may try it again but not this year.

Dinner took 90 minutes to arrive and when it did, they didn’t even dress my salad. I finally hunted the waitress down and she says oh yeah, we had to go get some more. She couldn’t tell me that before I took a disappointed bite. Never again will we come here.

PSA for dog owners: Went to sport island tonight. Brought our lab like we always have and multiple times to lakeside this year and was turned away. They said the new manger no longer allows dogs on the patio. Have been there multiple times with our dogs and multiple times this year at lake side with our dogs. Our group has spent a few thousand this year at lanzi Resturants. We will no longer go to sport island again. We always went there because how great they are with dogs and always brought a water bowl out to them. I recommend going somewhere else if you’re a dog person.
