⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Stunning Dining Experience at The Ivy Nottingham The Ivy Nottingham was a truly pleasant and memorable experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the friendly staff immediately made us feel welcome — offering to take our coats and showing us straight to our table without delay. The restaurant décor is classic and elegant, with beautiful greenery throughout that adds a peaceful and refined atmosphere. Despite having only been open for six days, the standard of service was impeccable. The team were attentive, polished, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a high-quality dining experience. The restaurant is clearly being managed very well — nothing felt like too much trouble. I especially appreciated the way they handled my food allergies: professional, reassuring, and a no-nonsense approach. I felt very well looked after. Our table for two was comfortable, with immaculately set linen tablecloths, ivy-embroidered napkins, cooled and polished glasses, and gleaming cutlery. Staff were dressed professionally in their signature green tabards, which added to the smart and cohesive presentation. Water was provided immediately on the table — a nice touch that set the tone for the rest of the evening. We ordered from the à la carte menu and were genuinely impressed by the dishes: • Roasted Queen Scallops – Creamed spinach, truffle and Parmesan emulsion, pine nut pangrattato, potato puffs, and Greek cress. The presentation was beautiful, served in three scallop shells resting on seaweed. The flavours were balanced and well thought out, each element complementing the other perfectly. • Salt-crusted Sourdough Bread – Served hot from the oven with salted butter. The texture was perfect — crisp on the outside, soft and warm inside. A very generous portion, ideal for sharing among four or more people. • Crisp Sea Bass Fillet with Wild Mushroom Velouté – The sea bass was cooked beautifully: skin crisp, flesh delicate and boneless. Served on a bed of spinach with fresh samphire and a rich, silky mushroom velouté. A wonderfully balanced and indulgent dish. • The Ivy Classic Shepherd’s Pie – A hearty, comforting classic made with slow-braised lamb and beef, topped with a smooth Cheddar mash. The flavours were rich but not overwhelming, and the rosemary and red wine sauce tied everything together perfectly. Overall, The Ivy Nottingham exceeded expectations in every way. The attention to detail, professionalism of staff, and quality of food make it a true standout addition to the city’s dining scene. I highly recommend it and look forward to visiting again soon.

Celebrated our anniversary here last night. The interior did not disappoint and customer service was top class. We had the fillet steak and soy blackened cod; both of which were delicious and well cooked. We were treated to a free dessert to celebrate the occasion and topped it off with the Ivy Santa (a fun seasonal dessert, although our poor Santa’s face may have fallen off 🤭) The only downside was the wait time for the mains, which was totally excused though as we were given complimentary drinks as way of an apology. Definitely worth a visit for a special celebration

The Ivy Brasserie Nottingham, part of the Ivy Group has a big reputation and delivers this in abundance. Exquisite decor, exemplary service and then the top quality food and beverages. Fabulous. All of this at affordable prices. We enjoyed the twice baked cheese souffle with black truffle, duck curry, scallop and prawn linguine with a melting chocolate bomb for dessert. All tasting wonderful. I enjoyed a raspberry martini cocktail, cider (served in a chilled glass) and hot chocolate which were all fantastic. I would advise everyone to visit and enjoy the Ivy. We will certainly be back.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the soft launch of the new Ivy restaurant in Nottingham, and it did not disappoint! The interior is absolutely stunning — elegant, stylish, and full of character. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was attentive throughout. A wonderful dining experience overall — I’ll definitely be coming back!

We ate here 24th October, it was busy but the service and food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back. I had scallops & duck curry, my partner had the duck salad and sea bass... our only complaint was that the sea bass could have done with some veg. We bought extra when it arrived and the additional side came super fast.

I’m a big fan of The Ivy restaurant chain. I’ve visited several branches in London, Liverpool, and Edinburgh, but this one is by far my favourite. It feels wonderfully cozy; I love the vibe, the atmosphere, the impeccable service, and, of course, the food. This time, I ordered the Blackened Cod and the Sticky Toffee Pudding, and both were absolutely delicious

Amazing food and not as expensive as you might think. The cheese souffle still makes me involuntarily smile every time I eat it. Capleton behind the makes the most insanely delicious cocktails as well. You won't find better in Nottingham

What a great experience! The atmosphere is amazing! Our waiter francesco made the whole experience so special. He was very lovely and kind. I definitely recommend dining at the IVY especially if it’s for a special occasion.

We went for our anniversary. Staff are friendly and attentive (in a good way). We weren’t rushed to order or to leave. Good servings and beautiful presentation. Decor was stunning!

We loved it, highly recommended. Brunch on a Thursday afternoon, we arrived at 12pm fairly quiet, by 1pm, packed. Service was good, quick and professional. We as in the photos, some drinks and dessert. Off the menu. Nice decor and vibe. Plentiful of staff to serve with everyone chipping on. Thanks for the experience.

Well what a surprise. When our MD booked the ivy for our Xmas do, I thought oh heck am I even going to turn up despite paying for it. We had 2 dreadful experiences in Cambridge and somewhere near the West End London. They had awful food, dreadful service and total disorganisation. Room decor was beautiful, wine and food was absolutely delicious, service was not noticeably poor even though some got their food cold as they were short staffed. So all good obviously a very hefty bill I should imagine about 4.5k. Probably spent not much less previously for something not as good. Hope it's still ok next year and not struggling like the others we went to.....

My husband and I visited to try the £19.17 two-course offer. The menu was varied, and everything we ordered was well presented and genuinely delicious — the French onion soup, chicken skewers, cottage pie, and spinach and sweet potato curry all impressed. As expected, drinks were on the pricey side (there is no draft beer available), and a service charge was automatically added. That said, it felt reasonable given how attentive and friendly the staff were. For a Tuesday evening in January, the restaurant was surprisingly busy, likely driven by the offer. While The Ivy has a reputation for exclusivity, the clientele didn’t quite match that image (we were there, after all). One neighbouring table even had a laptop open streaming a football match, which felt a little out of place. After finishing our meal, we dashed over to our favourite spot, Cosy Club, just in time for their cocktail deal. We were the only people there — and it was absolutely perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Ivy in Nottingham. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at the bar, and the timing of everything throughout our visit was simply perfect. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, creating the ideal setting for a memorable evening. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly crafted with care. Every dish exceeded our expectations. The service was attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the overall experience felt seamless from start to finish. The Ivy continues to set the standard for exceptional dining in Nottingham. Highly recommended!

We recently hosted our company Christmas Dinner at The Ivy Nottingham in their private Lace Room, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Despite our last-minute booking, the remote events team were incredibly accommodating, allowing us extra time to finalise guest numbers, dietary requirements, and the seating plan. This flexibility made the planning process so much easier and was truly appreciated. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the manager and our waitress, Poppy and Ella, who took the time to walk us through the evening and ensure every detail was tailored to our needs. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to help with any request set the tone for a wonderful night. The Lace Room itself was beautifully decorated and provided the perfect setting for a private dining experience. Being able to play our own music made the evening feel even more personal and exclusive, something you don’t often find elsewhere in Nottingham. The food was exceptional. Each course was beautifully presented, with generous portions and the right amount of time between servings to enjoy every dish. It felt like true fine dining, and the quality was absolutely worth it. Overall, it was a memorable evening for our team, and we are already looking forward to returning to try The Ivy’s à la carte menu. A huge thank you to Poppy and Ella for their outstanding service, their politeness, professionalism, and high-class manner truly elevated the entire experience and reflected everything The Ivy stands for. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium private dining experience in Nottingham. This is something the city truly needed.

We went here with family to celebrate a birthday. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were very helpful. Upon arriving the first thing we noticed was the sumptuous decor (this even extends to the washrooms I later discovered)! The seating was really cosy and comfortable too. We were a large group and there were a couple of mix ups and one steak was exchanged but full marks to how any service issues were handled. I had the cheese soufflé and my husband the French onion soup and both were tasty and well presented. He then went on to have the breaded Chicken dish whilst I had a sea bass fillet of a good size and perfectly cooked (so often I feel that restaurants over cook fish) and it came with a tasty sauce, wilted spinach and sprinkles of samphire. All the sides were very acceptable too and when we left the cloakroom staff took the time to ask if we’d enjoyed our evening and chat about the dishes we chose. All in all, for a chain this is one of the best

I visited The Ivy in Nottingham yesterday with a friend for dessert and a drink. We were greeted at the door and seated at the bar. The bartender, Capleton (I think that was this name), picked up on our humour quickly and matched it without breaking professional tone. Service was genuine, attentive and relaxed throughout. We both ordered the sticky toffee pudding. At one point we asked, half in jest, for a wine pairing for the pudding. He recommended one without batting an eye and without any pressure. As a twenty-seven-year veteran of the hospitality industry, it’s great to see genuine, effortless customer service in action. Overall, it was a smooth visit with good service, enjoyable dessert and a positive, memorable interaction at the bar.

Gorgeous place. Really friendly and attentive staff. Food was beautiful. Service charge is quite high but this is descretionary. 3 course set meal well worth the money in the day time. The chips side is generic chips but the rosemary almonds were gorgeous. Will certainly visit again.

Went as a treat for our anniversary. The food was lovely, cooked and seasoned well (we had burger and lobster). There was prompt and friendly service and we fell well looked after. The desserts were fabulous and we were pleased we found room to have them! We were treated to an anniversary dessert too which was a lovely touch. A thoroughly enjoyable visit, made even better by Princess our server.

The Ivy Nottingham is a perfect blend of luxury and coziness. The decor is absolutely stunning, creating an elegant yet warm atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. The food is exquisite, with a refined and carefully curated menu offering exceptional flavors. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff are incredibly polite and professional, delivering a level of service that truly makes each guest feel special and valued. A special thank you to Francesco for his outstanding hospitality and attention — he made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sophisticated yet welcoming dining experience.

Food was great, with the exception of the cheese and lobster souffle starter which looked more like an egg white omelette. I'd always recommend the salt crusted sourdough for the table as a starter. The fillet steak and duck shepherd's pie were both excellent too. Service charge seems to be added automatically to all table sizes as an FYI. Service was patchy. Our mains came while we still had our empty starter plates, which they just moved and didn't take away. It was a collection of these small things that took the edge off the high quality service I've come to expect in other branches of this restaurant.

The Godfather. Came here on the day of opening 14/10 which happened to be the same day as my birthday 🎁 The decor is fantastic it felt like walking into a high end Mafia club in 1950’s Brooklyn with a buzzing atmosphere. The menu is not bad, although including Lamb & Halibut on it will be a positive move. The portions were generously sized & the scallops starter along with the curried duck was fantastic but I would avoid the battered chicken with fried egg. Great service, keep the prices reasonable, we’ll see you soon.

Our waitress Jess was excellent, professional but friendly. Really enjoyed the meal and drinks. However, it is quite expensive, would not go regularly. Not being snobby but felt it does not have the exclusivity expected of The Ivy. The 'front of house' lady was quite rude to the group in front of us and she was not particularly welcoming or friendly to us either. Looked like she might have had a bad day but that should not be apparent to the customers.

We visited The Ivy Nottingham Brasserie just six days after opening to celebrate my daughter-in-law’s birthday. Overall we had a good experience, but there were a couple of issues which prevented me from giving five stars. The Ivy Nottingham Brasserie definitely has the wow factor. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing to the eye; with gorgeous wildlife artwork adorning the walls, plenty of foliage, and beautifully laid tables. I really loved the art deco style stained glass and arched mirrors - all serving as a nod towards The Original Ivy in London. It really is a beautiful restaurant; elegant yet unpretentious. The food was superb, and my Crème Brûlée was divine! The drinks were also delicious. But these were the issues which I felt let them down… Firstly, all the staff we met were fantastic, but the service was somewhat chaotic. There didn’t seem to be consistency regarding the service or communication between the staff. At times we were left sitting for quite a while before we had to actively seek their attention. Then at other times the table was being cleared and the next course was being served before we were ready. Secondly, my son ordered a cocktail, which had obviously been spilled, but no attempt had been made to clean the glass. The glass was sticky and drink dripped onto his clothes. This may sound quite trivial but we’re dining at The Ivy, not Wetherspoon. Prices are high and therefore so are my expectations! I feel that some of the staff are quite young and inexperienced in fine dining. But I’m sure given time (and training) they will grow in confidence, as the fundamental basics are already there. I also hope the team will learn to work together more cohesively, and deliver an even better dining experience for their guests.

As you would expect this isn't the cheapest place to eat, even with the set menu, we ordered sides and were glad we did as the portions sizes are very small. Food was lovely, but could of done with a little bit more of it. Came here to try it, but won't be rushing back. There is a lot of staff so orders are taken quickly and food arrives just as quick.

A very beautiful restaurant with stunning decor. We came here for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed a three-course meal. The service was good but a little lacking for a venue with so much acclaim. The wine menu was very comprehensive; we chose a French Sauvignon Colombard, and we were not disappointed. The food was another matter; both our starters were fantastic, well presented and full of flavour. However, although the mains were nice, I was not expecting to be served frozen chips in a high-end restaurant. Our waitress was brilliant and was attentive to our requirements. Overall Food good Atmosphere Fantastic. Had a great evening

Had a great experience at The Ivy Nottingham. The food was delicious and every course felt like a treat. The service was impressive even with how busy they were: warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. Francesko made us feel welcome and looked after us from start to finish. A busy but lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!

First time at the Ivy. The decor is lovely and feels very upper class experience. Had the set 2 course menu for just under £20. I have the french onion soup for a starter 7.5/10 and the mushroom and truffle pasta as a main 6/10, it did not have as much flavour as I would like. The service was very lacking, we had at least 5 different servers throughout our experience which didn’t feel as personal. When it came to wanting the bill and paying we was waiting quite a while for someone. Not sure if I would go back as I was not overly impressed.

The venue is stunning. No expense spared, the decor is gorgeous and there is so much to look at. The food was very good. Although the lobster was tough and there wasn't much of it. The duck starter stole the show. I would say that this is a great one time experience, but I wouldn't rush back. The pricing is astronomical, and having worked for a local Michelin star restaurant myself, I think once the novelty wears off, so will the custom. The one thing I would say is the tables are uncomfortably close. We were very fortunate to have a lovely table next to us, but there is absolutely no privacy. I couldn't actually get up from my seat without my legs touching their table and I'm small. I've no doubt that the cost to run this place will be a tidy sum if not for the rent alone, but cramming tables so close to one another isn't going to entice people back.

Arrived early hoping to get drink at the bar, only to be informed it was full and no space available. (Hot footed it to the Cosy Club and enjoyed a glass if wine!) Entrance area is far too small, but once inside you're not disappointed. Decor and ambience are as expected and match other UK Ivy's. All staff are friendly. We received great service (especially for a busy Saturday evening) and really enjoyed our meal. Thank you - we'll be back!

The Ivy delivering to it high standards as usual. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The Ivy always manage to purchase a good looking building. I was reluctant and a bit hesitant about this visit, purely because it’s Nottingham and whether The Ivy would get it right. I loved my visit and can’t wait to visit again! The building, the food, the service, the decor, the ambiance was all on point. I couldn’t fault it, so it’s disappointing to see the negative comments. The only thing (and I’m being pedantic) I would change is, we were a group of 4 adults and a baby. We required and requested a high chair for the baby. I therefore would have thought to place us in an area of the restaurant with a bit more space, but we were situated in a central location. The tables are very close together, therefore I would suggest creating more space between more tables. Apart from this, a great visit. Great prices. Remember, you are paying for the experience not just the food. There is ample parking throughout the area. A great restaurant, definitely worth a visit, and definitely will be coming again. Thank you for our experience. 💫

The ambience and decor were stunning! Even the washrooms had fab wallpaper! The waiters and waitresses were so attentive! Special mention to Isabel and Henry. Cocktails were amazing! Food wise, the starters and desserts were winners! Mains were tasty but not exciting! Would definitely go back perhaps for breakfast! Heard they’d very good…

Overall a great place to have in Nottingham. The staff were very good and the atmosphere was great. I always enjoy going to Ivy restaurants. The soufflé starter and the Ivy chocolate bomb dessert were both delicious, although my main wasn’t quite as enjoyable, the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars. The rest of our party enjoyed all courses, so it was probably just me. I had a vegetarian curry. The others had either meat or fish mains.

I attended this evening with my friends for late birthday celebrations. The food was beautifully presented, tasted very fresh, and was extra tasty! I have no complaints what so ever about the food! Our server was absolutely lovely! I believe we had Adam. He tried his hardest to make us feel comfortable, and happy! I cannot fault anything he did! The atmosphere was lovely majority of the time however, there was a point where I believe the woman manager on shift, would complain to staff in front of customers, about the tables not being remade quick enough or being made up wrong. The way she spoke to staff was horrible. My other friend verbally complained about this to the hostess at the door. You could tell the way she spoke to the staff was upsetting or bothering them. You could tell the staff were very busy but the service was still above and beyond! There was no need for staff to be spoken to like that for not remaking a table 2 minutes after the previous customers left, especially not in front of customers! The servers are literally humans not robots and I think managers often forget that!

Birthday meal at the Ivy, the positives, food was good value but not fine dining, decor lovely The downsides, very noisy environment difficult to have a conversation, tables far too close together. Ordered a bottle of wine to accompany our meal, didn’t like that it was taken away after our first glass was poured and we had to keep asking for a top up. We would have preferred to pour our own wine during the meal.

We have wanted to try out the Ivy for sometime now, and last night we finally got to take a good look. On entering the restaurant we were immediately impressed with the decor (very art deco). We waited at the bar with a nice glass of red until our table was ready. We were eventually (on time) escorted to our table by a very polite and attentive waiter, who politely gave us the menu, and asked if we wanted anything to drink. As we were all prepared, and extremely hungry we set about ordeing almost straight away. We chose the following - the salted sour dough bread - delicious 😋, twice baked soufle - I thought the truffle ruined the dish sadly. My partner ordered the queen scallops- very tasty 😋. For mains, I chose the rib eye steak - cooked to perfection, and was served with a mustard type mayo - dont think it really went with the steak, and lacked flavour, so I asked for the red wine sauce to accompany my steak, and thick cut chips which immediately brought all the elements together - fabulous. My partner had the blackened cod - superb! We also ordered a side of spinach cream dish - heavily rich, and to be honest, not a fan. After a short break we ordered the desserts. For me the Ivy bomb with honeycomb, and although delicious had a strange perfumed back note which I thought ruined the dish. My partner took the sorbet, and although she enjoyed it, I thought both mango and raspberry lacked depth. We enjoyed the meal with a fabulous red, and a large glass of white. Although we had a fantastic time, I personally feel it didn't deliver on the price. £260 for 2 of us, and that's 3 glasses of wine, and a bottle, plus 3 course's. Good, but not £260 good in my opinion. Would we go again? For drinks, absolutely!, however for a meal I'm not so sure?

The Ivy is one of my favourite restaurant groups, and The Ivy Nottingham is certainly the grandest of them all in terms of décor. It’s absolutely beautiful, the ambience and the design are exquisite. I’ve visited The Ivy in York, Cambridge, and London many times, and each has been a wonderful experience. On this particular visit to The Ivy Nottingham, they were unable to meet some of our orders. It was a 5 pm dinner, so before the busy period, but several starters and desserts we wanted weren’t available, which made the menu feel quite limited. That said, the dishes we did order were absolutely delicious. The minute steak was perfect! I also really appreciated that they welcomed young guests under 10, which was fantastic, very family friendly. I’d love to return and see a fuller menu available next time, as around a third of the advertised options were not available during our visit.

Nice building and lovely decor inside. That's the best of it. What let's this place down,is the food. There are long waits between courses. When the food does finally arrive, it's very disappointing. Most of it is served luke warm or cold. The front of house do their best, but the food service from the kitchen needs attention.

Surroundings are superb and live up to what’s to be expected from The Ivy chain. We’ve visited the one in Bath before, so knew roughly what to expect. I booked a table for my mother’s birthday, which was noted on the reservation, but the staff either hadn’t read this or chose not to acknowledge it, which was a bit of a disappointment. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait in a small queue on the steps of the restaurant (unfortunately in the rain) - there seemed to be a little fluster amongst the staff, who were perhaps still trying to find their feet a little. The food was to a very good standard as always; we chose to order off the main menu as the set menu was rather limited in choice. We ordered the shepherds pie, fillet and t bone steaks - I requested my fillet medium rare, but was presented with rare. Side dishes were typically over priced - nearly £7 for a small side dish of tender stem broccoli. For two courses for 4 people and one round of drinks, the total was £268 (including £30 Service charge, which in this case I didn’t think was warranted, but we paid it). They’ve most definitely nailed the decor and ambience, but I do feel the service has a few wrinkles yet to be ironed out to be worth the price, and that the place would benefit from some more experienced staff.

I’d been eagerly anticipating the opening of The Ivy in Nottingham and was really looking forward to visiting with friends. The restaurant’s reputation certainly precedes it so I had high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was somewhat disappointing. The venue itself is beautiful, and the food was faultless. However, the service let the evening down. Despite there being plenty of staff, it took around 50 minutes after our arrival before anyone came to take our food order, and that only happened after we asked. Our starters took a further 30 minutes to arrive (despite two of three being cold meat), and one of the dishes was incorrect. When I tried to explain our frustrations to the waitress, she walked away before I could finish speaking. Perhaps these issues are just teething problems following the recent opening but, based on this visit, I won’t be in a rush to return.

Beautiful building, good service. We went on a Thursday for the 2 dishes £19.17. Food was good but no sides included nor was this made clear. I had the Sea Bream which was beautifully cooked but that is all I got ..a piece of fish. The minuit steak had a £ 4 supplement so u got chips with that. Wine was very pricey for a poor vintage.

Service and atmosphere was great, visited for my birthday and I also received a lovely complimentary dessert. Between three of us we ordered 3 starters: calamari, arancini and fried zucchini. These were all delicious, hot and we didn’t have to wait too long. One person had the vegetarian curry which they said was really delicious, however myself and another guest ordered the mushroom pasta and unfortunately this was cold for both of us and wasn’t particularly tasty. In hindsight we should’ve sent the pasta back, but we aren’t the kind of people who tend to make a fuss so felt too awkward to at the time - also it was my birthday. The venue and staff are lovely, and the total bill was cheaper than anticipated. I would likely return, but with the hope that it was just an off day!

We were really looking forward to trying The Ivy, as we were well aware of its reputation and excited at the idea of dining there. We were warmly and professionally welcomed, with the option to use the cloakroom, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately impressed by the interiors, the lighting, decorations, uniforms, and furnishings truly showcase The Ivy at its best. The only downside was the waiting time to place our orders, receive our drinks (15 minutes for a Coca-Cola and an Amaretto Sour), and get our food, although we understand that meals can take time to prepare. Both the food and drinks were very good and appreciated by both of us. However, when our mains arrived, we had to wait around 10 minutes to get our sauces, even though the fridge was right next to us, as we couldn’t seem to get the servers’ attention. There was also some disappointment due to the unavailability of my two choices: the Scallop and King Prawn Linguine (at 8:45 PM) and the Crème Brûlée. When it came time to pay, we asked for the service charge to be removed for the reasons mentioned above. Once we paid, the waitress walked away without even saying goodbye or thank you. Overall, the experience was good despite a few disappointing aspects. We’ll definitely return, hoping for better service and food availability next time. We wish the best of luck to this new venture, which we’re sure will be very well received by the people of Nottingham.

Very disappointing! Staff could be transitioning from opening staff on the ‘A’-Team to those who will be running the restaurant going forward… but not to have been trained on how to open a bottle of wine or carry a tray of drinks is unacceptable. Worse still, staff being shown how to do these things in front of customers is poor. Drinks themselves were excellent - try the spicy honey margarita: this is what has pulled the score up. On to the food. Our group had two starters - the cheese soufflé and the squid. Both very good… however the roast dinner mains we had were woeful. What were more than likely frozen Yorkshire pudding and pre-cooked roast potatoes were very poor indeed. The chicken was dry, and the roast beef which was supposed to be served pink was grey and tough. What started as a trip with high expectations sadly went down hill. Frequent smashed glasses and dropped trays, staff not able to make substitutions on the menu (squid cooked one way versus another) and a lost coat just tainted the visit. Spent about £75 pp each for 5 people - bread tor all, 2 starters, 5 mains, 5 cocktails, one bottle of wine, 5 aperitifs. We shall return, but not on a Sunday. We’ll be willing to try the à la carte for the items I hope are not frozen pre-cooked.

My experience here was poor compared to other Ivy’s I have visited. Service was pretty slow, and we were sat down for an hour before food orders were taken. When I mentioned an allergy, the staff came back and made me change my order 3 times after confirming it was free of the allergen. After 1hr 45 mins we had our starters. They brought us two wrong dishes and forgot to bring two sides and two sauces that we ordered. When paying the bill, they had charged us incorrectly. The whole experience seemed quite messy and the communication between staff seemed poor. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, especially when it labels itself as ‘refined dining’. Spend your money elsewhere.

G

Squashed into a table in a snug at back of restaurant, very loud & noisy, very rushed the server kept coming up to the tables apologising that they needed the tables back. Food wasn't very good ,Luke warm shepherd's pie, & sea cream where the sauce was cold, it was like nursing home food. Very disappointing. Didn't get to see other decor which people are mentioning as stuck in back as mentioned.
