The absolute best local spot on the Nyack strip. Every food item is delicious and available at late hours. Friendly staff, good drinks and a laid back non aggressive atmosphere keeps me coming back year after year. Nearby municipal parking is free in the evening which is another plus.
Caroline is the owner and is always there handling quality control. She is genuine and she has had the same staff for YEARS. The service and food is always the best! It's the only Irish bar in Nyack you want to go to.
Great food! Great staff. Really fresh Guinness. Clean but authentic Irish pub. Kitchen open until 2 or 3 am, maybe later.
Always the perfect "go to" for my family. Great food from the Fish n Chips, to the Shepards Pie, to the Chicken Parm. The proprietor Caroline, along with her staff, is very friendly and the service is very good.
Small & Cozy Irish Pub with some traditional Irish favorites like Shepherds Pie and Irish Breakfast, yet Modern American with everything from Mexican Burritos to Italian Pizza and Eggplant Parm. More than your average barfare and top quality food. Though my guilty pleasure there is garlic bread with cheese (I add olives and get lots of marinara for dipping) and also the Veggie Quesadillas! They're surprisingly really really good! A Must-Try! My husband likes to order the fish and chips= baked not fried. He's watching his figure. Lol. The staff is great and make you feel really at home. One of my best memories was the big snow storm Jan 2016. Not many places to go, but the place was packed and the picklebacks and beers were going quick, keeping us warm. Can't go wrong with OVI. One of the few places in Rockland County serving good food till 3AM every night of the year.
Busy place on a thursday night. We had a great onion soup and a delicious chicken pot pie. Good attentive service.
Best place to eat in nyack food is amazing like I had 22 years ago that telling you everything..... i love it eadispoinyi go .
We enjoyed our first time here! Especially loved the Ceasar Salad & Jalapeño Poppers.
What a great meal. Watching up in NY/NJ for the weekend. Decided to drop in with my friend instead of hitting one of the chain restaurants. What a great move! Food was phenomenal. My friend had the chicken pot pie and said it was the best he ever had. Don't miss the onion ring.... Great.
My fave Irish place! The staff is always friendly with top tier service. Food is great and the kitchen is open late. I always bring out of town guests here, usually more than once.
A friend of mine recommended that I check this place out. He called it the OVI. I visited the Edward Hopper house and ended up here for dinner. I had a Yuengling and a turkey burger with fries. All were delicious. These might have been the best fries I've ever had. I needed to charge my phone and the bartender was accommodating and even gave me a charger. When I return to Nyack, I will be back.
Come here for an authentic Irish experience! Came here with my dad for dinner and everything was awesome, especially the chicken pot pie! Our server Gerrie was so kind and gave us great recommendations! I will definitely be returning here!
May look like your typical Irish pub from the outside but don't be fooled. The bar is fully equipped with a decent choice of beer on tap and in bottles. The real treat is the exceptional service and food! By far the best barfood if you could call it that. Excellent eats with traditional pub fare and specials.
I went with 5 friends after golf. We all thought the food was delicious with 2 of us inclung me buying traditional bangers and mash. Only thing not quite appealing was the lack of light into the restaurant Howver its a typical irish pub restaurant to have the dimmer atmosphere. Well worth giving it a try!
This place has curry fries and chicken pot pie with a super crispy pastry crust that are both out of this world good! Every time we've gone the food has been fresh out of the oven hot and absolutely irresistible 🤤
We were on our way from New Jersey to Connecticut and got off to find a place to eat. We hit the jackpot (or should I say pot of gold) with this place. From the extremely friendly waitress to the wonderful hostess to the awesome food we were very pleased! Would definitely visit again when passing through the area!
Great people and great food. Dishes offered always hit the spot. Bartenders are super friendly. Crowd is always energetic and lots of laughs. Been going here for about 30 years. Great job folks!
The atmosphere/vibe of this place is amazing! If you are looking for an Irish pub or just any bar in general in Nyack, this is absolutely the place to go! They have absolutely amazing staff too! Go visit on Saturdays for the full experience! It's an added bonus that they have Magner's Irish Hard Cider on draft, a rare find!
Open late (4am) and serves food til 3am. This place is a God send. The staff is friendly and attentive. Male barstaff pays attention to in order to keep the creeps away which is great in this day. Nice, local, no frills place to hang out for a good time, good drink, food, and great service.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Their burgers are top notch and the Cajun salmon is an amazing light alternative. The fish and chips are their specialty though; best fish and chips I've ever had.
The Village Inne in Nyack really has that Irish Pub atmosphere - it’s not easy to emulate (and not over-the-top), but they do it well here. There’s a nice bar up front and cozy seating in the back for dine-in patrons, but they even do pick-up service for those who’d rather eat like an Irish high king in the comfort of their own home. The service is very friendly, as is the crowd - definitely not as rowdy as some other places in Nyack. When I visited, I decided to try the chicken pot pie and I was not disappointed. The dish was huge and looked amazing - definitely worth the money. The only downside to the meal were the large pieces of onion (I prefer them small, so I don’t notice them) but really, it didn't detract from the amazing flavors. I’m looking forward to my next visit already!
I love this bar! The guinness is perfect, the food is wildly amazing and the service is top notch. Anytime I'm in Nyack, I always want to come here. They stay open late and everyone else must love it too, cause it's always busy!
Chicken pot pie comes out perfect every time!
My Boyfriend and I stopped in visiting through town on our way back to Long Island! Food portions were very large especially for the appetizer of buffalo chicken fingers with fries! then my steak sandwich was fresh steak and his egg plant Parm he said was delicious also! Hostess and waitress were right there to greet us and drinks were always refilled in a promptly manner! Wish I lived nearby to come back sooner rather than later!
Had a wonderful night at OVI. Our waitress Demetria was amazing! Very friendly environment with great food. Get the wings before they sell out, they are delicious 🤤
Lenny, Johnny, and Ronan are great bartenders and fun people! The waitstaff is the same. Friendly people all around! The food is incredible also...the BEST burgers around and the Quesadillas are amazing. This place is a must! 😊
This is definitely o mc e of my favorite places to hang out with friends. They have an excellent beer selection and food. You must trybthe jalapeno poppers and the nachos with everything. The clover stamp on the Guinness is always a pleasure to see and the staff is very friendly and engaging. Top recommendation to anyone looking to have a nice night out with friends.
Outstanding Irish pub! Everyone server in the place is professional. Thank you Caroline or maybe it’s Carolyn, either way thank you, we love your place and are regulars.
I will start out by saying that I am not Irish and have never been to Ireland but this place is everything an American would hope for in an Irish Pub. The food is outstanding. I have tried many items, mostly the traditional Irish pub food, but others as well. The place never fails in delivering fresh cooked and high quality food. On top of that, the kitchen is open really late... The drinks are great. I am not a beer drinker but the selection seems good. They have a good selection of spirits and make a great martini. I don't write too many reviews but this place should be on your list.
We really liked this place. Honestly it's the only bar in Nyack we actually liked and wished we didn't even bother trying the others. Really nice atmosphere, nice decor for St. Patty's day. Great music playing. The place got pretty full but no one was obnoxious, seemed like a great group of people just enjoying themselves and having a good time. Bartender was nice. Definitely recommend, my kind of place.
Olde Village Inne. The quintessential tavern that feels like you're away in another country. The food is excellent. Top must-tries are the chicken pot pie and the shepherds pie. Can't go wrong with either one. Everything else on the menu is very very good. (Try the pizza.) The service is great and you feel like family when you sit down for a nice pint or a meal. Stop reading this and check it out. 👍
OVI, Carolina and the whole staff are the best. Great service, food, drinks and atmosphere. Authentic, consistent and always there when you need them. It's my 'Cheers'.
I come here often! I moved away from Nyack and still try to get here once a week. The service is phenomenal, the food is great and fairly priced. My waitress Nicole is the BEST and sweetest. I probably wouldn't be a returning customer if it wasn't for her. All the workers are very friendly as well. Definitely try this place out! You won't regret it.
Been going here for 25 years. good food, more then just Irish pub style. Love the veggie burger here as well. Great staff, and management
This is the best place in the world. And Gerry is a national treasure! The decorations are beautiful for the holidays and the food is the best pub food you will ever have. Anyone that gives this place a negative review was likely just let out of an insane asylum.
This is my go-to neighborhood pub. Gerri is tops, personable, and skilled at the art of Irish Coffee. Food is reliable, location ideal, and the hours are handy for night owls like me! Oh, love the jukebox too!
Great place to grab a Guinness. Has some outdoor seating in the summer. Inside is very small and tight but adds to the atmosphere. Good food!
Best Irish Pub in Nyack. I love the Shepard's Pie as well as Corned Beef & Cabbage here. The servers are friendly, and I have been coming here for a couple of years now. The kitchen is usually open late, and this is just a great spot to go to.
One of my faves. Have been coming here with different groups of friends since 2018-19. Perfect for drinks at the bar or high tables. Fun crowd. Always a great atmosphere. Today and times past late nights after dancing for buffalo wings and nachos. Dinner or lunch with friends and the fish and mushy peas are amazing and shepherds pie. Great chicken fingers too! Staff is attentive and friendly. Even came once for New Year’s countdown many years ago!
Cool atmosphere, loved the bartender that was working during the Street Fair today- always smiling and attentive all while being very busy. Good onion rings and potato skins!
Best chicken fingers and fries in Rockland. Guinness perfect pour!
I had a good experience while visiting Nyack and the Olde Village Inne on a Thursday night. Service, ambience, and food were great. We enjoyed the nachos and eggplant Parmesan. Good draft beer list.
Was absolutely awesome. Had the best experience here. The staff was great, they were very attentive. The food was amazing and atmosphere was super fun. The music was really good. They had a mix and it made it more enjoyable to listen to. My friend and I had the Potato Skins and the French Onion Soup 🍲 for appetizers and later we both had burgers. She had a cheese burger and I had the Mushroom Swiss both came with fries. The portions were very nice. Perfect to be exact in my our opinion. I would definitely consider coming back here with friends and family. We only realized after we had eaten thst we didn't take any pictures... well we will take pictures on our next adventure to Nyack. 10 out of 10 is our new rate... or on Google it's 5 out of 5. Keep up the good work ✌☮
One of the best pours of Guinness I’ve had. If you are searching for a proper poured point, and a good old school vibe, you have to check this place out.
Fun, chill, bar/restaurant! Staff is excellent and knows how to pour a drink! Food is super yummy! You must have their Chicken Pot Pie!! It's the BEST!!
The only authentic Irish Pub in all of Rockland County. Probably New York State actually. The staff are all great people and you feel welcome the minute you walk through the door. The food is delicious no matter what you decide on. 5 stars is not enough.
I haven't been to OVI since I moved away in 2014. We recently had dinner there with some friends, I was so HAPPY to see the menu has stayed the same and that everything is still DELICIOUS! There’s no reason to change what works, and this works! Thank you ovi for your amazing food, and fun friendly atmosphere!
Love this place. Good food, comfortable, cozy, and depending on which booth we get we can see different places we've visited in Ireland.
I have been coming here since I was about 8 now 34. The food has never lost quality. Some of my favorites are the special penne sienna w chicken or shrimp. The Caesar salad with Cajun salmon, and honestly, they have one of the best chicken quesadillas I have had in Rockland County (I had grilled onions to mine). The staff is lovely amazing people who bust their ass and give great service. The food takes time to come out, but that’s because it is all made to order and fresh quality. OVI love you.
If you are looking for an Authentic Irish pub. Then look no further. The food is amazing and the staff is even better
Best pub food in Rockland and beyond. Burgers are delicious and huge and the quesidillas are to die for. And don't leave without trying the Irish nachos. Unbelievable 😋
We love this pub! It not only has a bar vibe but great food options. Quantities are also very generous unlike some of the other restaurants lately where you leave the place hungry after spending hundreds of dollars.
The fish and chips and the chicken pot pie were both excellent and well prepared. Everything was fresh. And the service was very good. Portions were more than either one of could eat at one sitting.
We recently decided to dine at the Old Village Inn. We had a great dinner which consisted of a Chicken Pot Pie and my wife ordered the Fish and Chips. The food was delicious and the service even better. Our server Nicole was fantastic. She was friendly, courteous and had great suggestions on what to order. We will definitely be returning to dine again in the near future!
Classic Irish style pub with proper food, drink, and atmosphere. I was in the area and my friend Pat recommended I grab a bite here. When I got inside I noticed they carried Industrial Arts, a brand my friend Brendon works for, so I texted him. When his immediate response was “That Place Rocks”, I knew I was in for a good time. I highly recommend the potato skins and my chicken sandwich was excellent. The bartender (Marie I believe) was attentive, nice, and quick. Overall a great spot!
On a three week working trip to New York I spent a few nights in the bar with Gerry and Marie. They are so welcoming and friendly it was beyond expectations. The atmosphere is always great and the food is fantastic. The pint of guinness is very close to back home in Dublin for quality if not price. At $8 a pint it compares to Dublin City centre but not the €5.40 I pay in my local. All the same the Olde Village is a great bar if you are around Nyack and looking for a great experience. Thank you ladies for your fantastic hospitality and friendship
We really loved this little pub. We were only in town for a weekend and we found this place the first night. We ended up going two nights in a row. The first for dinner and the second for drinks and snacks. The staff did great making sure we were taken care of even though they were busy both nights. The food was great and the drinks were on point.
Some of my personal favorites are the : Irish Nachos, wings, pizza bread, burgers, and penne pasta(of course with Cajun Chicken) Honestly there isn't anything on the menu , that I don't enjoy. I order take out from here at least twice month.
Was recommended this place for the food. The food was indeed tasty but a bit expensive. Beers are $7-8 which is pretty crazy for standards, there's no circumstance where a Yuengling pint should be $7.
It's a great place to kick back, and have some drinks. If you're wondering if this place is practice safe Covid-19 procedure? It does. The drinks are very inexpensive, which is a plus considering the fact, Nyack bar scenes are on the expensive side. For example UP Lounge Cranberry & Hennessy cost me $20 with out tips, which is ridiculous. The only downside about Olde Village Inne is the food is kind of expensive, I shouldn't have drop $10 for some "French Fries", when there nothing special about them that stands out, out of any place that sells french fries in Rockland County; considering the fact that you're forced to buy food with your drinks because of the new law Mario Cuomo passed, and the basket of fries is the cheapest option you have out of that menu, especially if you just want to drink, and ate prior before coming to the bar... But I digress.
Great Irish taste 👌🏾 friendly environment staff are pretty professional and pocket friendly prices
I love OVI! The wings, the potato skins, nachos, Irish fries. Everything is super fantastic. The only comment I would have is the seasoning on the burgers and some dinner type of meals would be beneficial, lacks full flavor. But overall they are amazing and they will be a part of my rotation of takeout orders.
Food was amazing and love the atmosphere! I wish our server was more service oriented. She didn't check on us once, never cracked a smile, even made me feel like I was a bother when asked for condiments.
Only got food to gobut it was well worth it. Had the fish and chips and it was a good size piece of fish, very tasty! The ladies were very friendly and professional. I want to go back, eat in and try a few more of their dishes
With all the bars located on this street I believe this one has the absolute best chicken wings and potato skins in Rockland county. With a variety or 5 flavors I highly recommend you try them all! Conveniently located on Main Street near the parking lot This location unfortunately is not wheelchair friendly. pleasantly surprised this bar is not at all what I would have expected from an Irish pub. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to all of the customers in the bar. The drinks were not watered down, the food was plated well and quite delicious.
We were seated in the only booth left in the restaurant...in the back. It was dark and far away from others. My boyfriend and I ordered entrees and drinks 🍸 Dive bar. Don't expect much but locals and a low energy atmosphere. Good for a beer and to connect with friends :) not a fancy place and typical drafts and cocktails like rum and coke and vodka sodas. Enjoy your experience!
Nice little streetside cafe, pleasant servers and seating area. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. It looks quite appetizing. I had the steak and mushroom pie. There were hardly any mushrooms. The steak, potatoes and carrots were cut in pieces much too large, neither the steak nor the carrots were cooked long enough and the steak was fairly tasteless and tough. Nice looking gravy, but way too much tomato in it -- this is a BEEF pie, not pasta! The pastry was very attractive, tho, and drinks were fine. I would give it another chance but it's not going on my hit parade.
+ Great place to grab a beer and meet friends but not a culinary experience. + Food was hot, quick served + We wer placed right next to an heater, it was pleasant since it was a cold evening. + Opened on a December 25th - Burger ; patty was probably cooked from frozen, had low quality taste and texture. - Chocolate Cake ; Similar to Wallmart cheapest cake, a block of sugar with no texture.
Food used to be very good. Irish breakfast with Italian bread as substitute for white toast. Any decent Irish restaurant would never give Italian bread with an Irish breakfast. Such irony. Also served frozen seasoned fries which is a no no. Very mediocre wine for $8 a glass. Caesar salad drenched in bottled dressing for ridiculous amount of money. Other guest ordered a pastrami sandwich which the cook could not find in the freezer. Needless to say a really bad show at the Old Village Inn.
Big ole meh. Got a Berger /w fries and mozzarella sticks. Berger was so bland and the mozz's were somehow powdery? The best thing was the French fries.
Rude bartender the guy with long hair has no personality for that job and the older Irish woman is only friendly occasionally if she can remember you. They only give buy backs if they think they know you and are only friendly to who they know. Disappointing and sub par all around. Overrated
Second time here for food and it just wasn't good. The servers were great. It's a fun, lively spot. But the chicken was chewy, the fries were bland, the mozz sticks were undercooked. I won't go back for food. There are too many other good places in the neighborhood.
WORST WINGS IN ALL OF THE USA. Dry. The staff doesn’t care if you like the food or not. Understandable if you want to see for yourself: but if you give this place a chance: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING BUT BOTTLED DRINKS. THEY SERVE DRINKS IN DIRTY GLASSES.
My wife and I asked for two grey goose and cranberry large and what we’ve got is 80% cranberry juice 20% grey goose it was terrible $ 39 for cranberry juice NEVER again and that was our se one time there!
My friend and I attempted to seat outside. The restaurant staff didnt greet us and I had to approach the bar. My friend and I asked to sit outside and the waitress we initially spoke with told us to head outside and grab a table. However after walking outside to grab a seat, another waitress literally ran outside to tell my friend and I we couldn't sit because of the rain.... it was not raining outside. They didn't offer to sit us inside or offer to sit us under the awning that would have been protected from the rain. The staff was very rude and dismissive. My friend and I sat across the street at Casa del sol instead. We did actually witness them sit a table of all white patrons outside after dismissing me and my friend. I sit here and wonder if it was because the color of my skin they treated me so callously and refused me and my friends business. I will never dare enter this establishment again.
Called tonight at 12:44p, only to be told kitchen was closed. I called back to asked when the kitchen closes Thursday nights to be told last orders go in at 12:45. I am taking break from work and wanted to order for pickup but won't patronize an establishment that doesn't want the customers
If there was negative star I would leave, the Irish bartender women should be fired ASAP with her stereotypical antics and belittling minorities... shame on you AND LEARN HOW TO TREAT EVERYBODY EQUALLY Mrs. "Are you going to just watch the game or order drinks"
STAY AWAY! Was there on a Sunday night, male bartender was rude. Asking me for a secondary form of ID... that’s unheard of!! I didn’t even order a drink, and I’m clearly older then 21. Food was very cold and bad. Manager was rude. Music was bad. Overall bad experience. STAY AWAY. There are other bars nearby with way better service.
Lousy late night service. Came in at around 2am looking for a late night snack on a Wednesday night/Thursday morning and sat down. Waited for five minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge me, who was sitting 3 chairs down from her and asked for a menu to get a nasty look. The menu was pretty overpriced, what would you expect from Nyack? So I took a minute and ordered their Irish Nachos(they had no substitute for bacon, their beans contained pork too.) and finally when I got my food which I ordered TO STAY, I was given the food in a bag fully prepped for takeout with napkins, plastic cutlery and take out containers. The waitress "forgot" because she was too busy playing cards on an iPad and waiting for a ride, from what she said to me. The bartender made some jokes to lighten the mood but I wasn't amused, after being given my fries which cost $13 in a tin container. Wouldn't have wasted my time/money/has coming here if I had known it was gonna be this terrible. For each question I had about the food the more annoyed the waitress seemed. Not professional.
When I walked in I wasn’t greeted. I had to ask if I could sit anywhere. I had to get up from my table to order food & drinks. No one asked if I was ok. The whole time I was there (1 hour) no one checked on me. I watched the 2 bartenders greet guests & take their order at their TABLE. Constantly checking on them. I had to speak to the bartenders in PASSING. The food was mid. Definitely needed more seasoning. Overall I wouldn’t go back. Seems like they only cater to white folks & no one else. I watched how they moved for the ENTIRE hour.
Always I rder same thing. Chicken fingers ad fries...WELL DONE . DECIDED TO GOVE THEIR PIZZA A TRY...PERSONAL P>ZZA..WELL DONE..CAME WET..SOGGY..AND UNDER COOKED. WHO WAS COOKING ON 12/13/2025....SHOULD BE FIRED. TRIED CALLING TO SPWAK TO SOMEONE..PUT PUT ON HOLD..ETERNAL HOLD 4X...Kavos Grill..NEVER disappoints. Their burgers..fries Gyros..cooks to order..are never soggy and drenched. Consistant.. .they weren't open. ..the WELL DONE request at OVI???? LAST TIME UNDERCOOKED FOOD..CAUSED FOOD POISENING. SO MANT PLACES TO EAT IN NYACK. .THIS ISNT ONE OF THEM Tried posting pic of pizza and chicken but could not. I waa a long time customer..the decline is too steep.
Completely full of Halloween decor like it was a haunted house. Hanging from every bit of the walls and ceiling. It's November. Halloween was last month. Anyway the bar staff laughed at the kids because she thought they were scared. We all decided to spend our money elsewhere and pass on our experience. So if you want to go where staff laugh at your kids this is the place for you. Weird how the demonic energy passes to those exposed in there.
The wings were good and the bangers and mash meh. Started to get rushed because they were getting busy. Was brought the check twice without asking for it. All accept told I had to leave. Horrible experience for some from out of state. If im ever back up this way definitely will not be going back here
