Amazing experience at Eddie V’s! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the seafood — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The service was outstanding, very attentive and professional. The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable. Perfect place for a special dinner or celebration. Highly recommend!
Celebrated a birthday. I was really impressed with the service and food. My scallops were perfectly cooked and the steak was so tender, we did not a knife!!! The entire staff made the dinning experience/birthday so special. Kudos to our waiter, Jorge, who knew exactly how to check on our table. Love the dinning experience. Thank you!
We had such a great experience at Eddie V’s in Oak Brook. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The service was professional but still warm and friendly — our server really knew the menu and gave great recommendations. The seafood was incredibly fresh — the sea bass was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. We also tried the oysters and a steak, and everything was top quality. The cocktails were excellent (the Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve had), and the live music in the lounge created such a nice atmosphere. It’s definitely a place for a special night out, but it’s worth every dollar. We’ll absolutely be back.
We went to Eddie V’s on 11/01/25 after leaving another restaurant where we had a terrible experience — and it turned out to be the best decision we made all night! Even though we couldn’t get a table, we sat at the bar, and the service was absolutely incredible. The entire bar staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. I shared with them what had happened at the other restaurant, and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — even treating us to a complimentary dessert. The food was on point — my steak was cooked perfectly to a medium rare, served at the ideal temperature, and absolutely delicious. The drinks were also excellent, perfectly balanced and refreshing. We left feeling happy and completely satisfied. Thank you, Eddie V’s team, for turning our evening into such a wonderful experience! We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

The culinary perfection was matched only by the impeccable service, a true 10 out of 10. Eddie V's Prime Seafood really makes celebrating occasions special. The service in the bar from Joy was fantastic and the food and wine suggestion was divine. The Shellfish tower was amazing as was the select oysters for happy hour. The Happy hour menu really had some great seafood and steak selections. Eddie V’s Yellowtail Sashimi is must have dish that goes so well with the Narrative Chardonnay. When you make a reservation, make sure to let them know it’s for a special occasion and you'll get a delightful surprise.
Jack did an incredible job booking our reservation for our store Christmas dinner. Diana was our server for the evening and her service was exceptional! Hospitality was beyond amazing and I will definitely return. Everything was prepared to perfection. Incredible experience-thank you Eddie V’s for making a memorable evening for my team.
My first visit celebrating my Aunts birthday 🎂 a time was had Eddies did not disappoint !! 10/10 . Great servers, food was delicious.. the bananas foster mmmm, filet medallions w/ lobster 🦞 delicious !!
The food was EXCEPTIONAL, the service was 10/10, and the ambiance was elegant. JD was our server and went out of his way to give us a great experience as my wife celebrated her birthday. The bread was steaming and we sat down. We started with Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice which was popping with flavor, essentially amuse bouche in every bite! Then we had a Caesar Salad which was delicious. The next course my wife and I shared the Morel-crusted Lamb Chops and the Chilean Sea Bass. The sea bass was the best I have ever had, Asian inspired, and popping with flavor. The lamb chops were beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also had some au gratin potatoes and asparagus sides that my wife enjoyed. I was stuffed by then. But JD went above and beyond again, knowing we don’t drink alcohol, but gave us a Sprite toast in champagne flutes and a dessert plate with Bananas Foster, Ice Cream and Chefs Chocolate Cookies. Can’t wait to come back. Loved the entire experience! Ask for JD if you go!
5 stars all around. Free valet, but don't forget to tip the guys. Outstanding service, delicious food, amazing vibes. The icing on the cake is the live music!!! This is one of the nicest restaurants with live music in the area. Make sure you look at the website to know what days and times the live music play and request for lounge seating if you want the live music. The lounge and bar area is first come first serve. Reservations are recommended for main seating. This is fine dining, so be prepared to spend $$$. This can be a very romantic restaurant and a nice place for close friends and family for special occasions. I highly recommend.
Service was great. The food was delicious. Steak was cooked just right and the lobster tail was the best. Definitely order the crab cake and the fried rice! Try not to fill up on the bread (I wanted to take a loaf home). The burrata salad and lobster bisque shouldn't be missed. The molten lava cake at the end was shared by three but next time I want my own.
Top tier level service by James. Absolutely delicious food...the private booth made the experience even better. The epitome of fine dining. What more is there to say....My Chilean Sea Bass was the BEST I have ever had! I quickly took pics so I could enjoy my food. #1 for special occasions!
Very nicely decorated steakhouse. Has a great wrap around bar with great drinks. The bartender was fun and conversational. We were there for my son's birthday and they decorated the table. We all got streaks and they were cooked to perfection. The truffle Mac was a great side. The manager checked on us a few times. High level of service.
We went for Mother's Day brunch and had a great time! They started with a cinnamon chips scone that they brought out, this was absolutely delicious. 10/10! I then ordered the lobster bisque as my appetizer and ordered the frittata and steak as my entree. The lobster bisque a good amount of lobster pieces in it and the cracker that they put in there was delicious. The soup overall was 7/10 with the cracker bite being 10/10. The steak in my entree was 10/10, great flavor and cooked properly. The frittata was 6/10, it did not have a lot of flavor and I used the sauce of the steak to flavor it. My mom and I ordered the seafood Tower as a starter. We replaced the oysters with shrimp and this was tasty and withim expectations. We also got truffled mac and cheese and grilled asparagus for the sides. Grilled asparagus was normal, truffled mac and cheese was about a 6.5/10. They were appropriately sized, and could feed 4 at the table. The service was excellent, and I really appreciated multiple people who stopped by to wish my sister and I happy birthday. I also really liked that they decorated our table with happy birthday decor as well. Would return again!
Wow! Extraordinary food flavors! From the caviar double baked potatoes to the filets and lobsters, everything was phenomenal! The service was just impeccable! Nick was as nice as can be and very knowledgeable. Manager, Mike making sure we had everything we needed was a nice touch. Did I mention they have live jazz music every night? It was pleasant. We’ll be back to this new favorite!
I've eaten at there location in Nashville now Oakbrook. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary. Customer service was good food was tasty. The staff set our table to show our love for each other. The live jazz and atmosphere set us up for a special experience. Weather you're celebrating a special event or just dinning give Eddie V's a try.
Went on Valentines day and the atmosphere was lively but a great fine dining experience. Food was exceptional as always. Great date night resturant for the energetic lovers out there
This review is limited to the Chicago Restaurant Week memu/dinner I had. The restaurant appears to be a professionally run fine dining place. Anyway, I had a 'non-regular menu' item: Steamed Chilean Sea Bass Hong Kong style on a soy sauce broth. The sea bass itself and the steaming of it was outstanding, granted that the chef is taking the spirit of that original dish and his interpretation of the HK style steamed whole fish to create his dish on a thick flaky chunk of seabass meat, the effort I applaud. However, I do have a suggestion for improvement and to be fair, I have not discounted the number of stars in the review because of it. The suggestion is: the soy sauce broth/"sauce"is way way too strong/"concentrated" and not just being very salty. As a result, the balance of that dish is way off. I will guess that it should be diluted 3x to 4x, even more, I really suggest, to the chef's taste plus also adding a minimal touch of sweetness. Please also, consider stirring in a little oil like peanut oil, even canola but not olive which carry its olive taste and the oil should have been 'cooked' - heated up in a pan right before smoke pt and cooled back down before mixing into the sauce. Note that we are NOT trying to replicate the HK technique here and that is a totally different discussion. The taste of the sauce should be barely noticeable and it only to enhance the taste of each flake of fish when you barely dip it into the sauce(alternatively, you can very lightly spoon some sauce over the fish before serving). Your sauce has almost totally destroyed you dish for me if not for the layer of veggie/garnish you have put under the piece of fish for decoration or for whatever reason that has mostly not let the fish swim in your sauce; and also because I have tasted a little of the clean fish first and separately the sauce first to decide if I want to pair it with that fish. That sauce was that bad. So, I saved 'my' fish and had a chance to enjoy the dinner!! (FYI, I grew up consuming that dish.)
I enjoyed my time here. It wasnt rushed, food was great and portions were nice. They even brought me this amazing dessert plate for my birthday. Definitely gonna return here soon!
This was our first time trying out Eddie V’s. We went on 12/24/25 to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea that people would be flocking here on Xmas Eve. The parking lot was obnoxiously packed. Thankfully, we were seated not too long after we checked in. I already had a reservation. Capital Grill does it better for special occasions, but I wrote birthday for special occasion at Eddie V’s. The table wasn’t decorated, my waiter didn’t acknowledge, and I didn’t get a birthday dessert. This place is good for any random night but yeah celebrate your special occasion elsewhere. Besides that, service was great. We ordered jumbo lump crab cake, parmesan sole, NY strip, truffled mac and cheese, and honey sriracha roasted brussel sprouts. We didn’t order dessert since none of the items really stood out to me. Overall, the experience was 3 out of 5. -jumbo lump crab cake 5 - shareable between two people. I really enjoyed the flavor. -parmesan sole 5 - highlight of the meal. It was flaky, moist, and delicious. Big portion too. -NY strip 5 - we wanted medium rare but the first time they brought it out, it was well done. They took it back and brought it medium rare. The medium rare tasted good. -truffled mac and cheese 2 - there were some truffles in here but you won’t really taste it. The taste is basically just regular mac and cheese. -sriracha roasted brussel sprouts 3 - it was okay. When I reheated it at home, it was kind of salty. At the restaurant it was fine. You definitely need to eat it with rice or pasta.
