Loved the vibes of this place. Music, aroma, conversation, friendly staff…just amazing! The food is very, very flavorful. I had jerk chicken with steam vegetables and plantains. My husband had grilled shrimp, brown rice, and salad. They went the extra mile with oxtail gravy!! 10/10!

Oh my goodness! We introduced the Oak Cafe to friends visiting from Jacksonville last night. What an awesome experience! The food was excellent!! Like um-um good! We ordered two oxtails dinners, a ribeye steak dinner and a conch dinner. We all had different sides. We sampled each other’s dishes. it just happened that we had the restaurant to ourselves. Mr. Mitchell had on smooth jazz music. Then he put on a little blues for my husband. We met the chef and one other person. Thanks for the memories Cedric. We will be back! We all left full and satisfied.

We happened upon this place when we turned in to go to Burger King. SO glad we did!! The food was delicious with very generous portions and reasonable prices. The thing that put it over the top was the owner and staff. They were so friendly and accommodating! I wish I was not just passing thru because I'd be a regular!

The owner was really sweet and the serving sizes were very generous. The atmosphere was amazing. The owner also treated all of his customers as if they were family and made us feel comfortable. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant the next time we're in town!

And let’s talk about the food—oh my goodness! The red snapper was unbelievably tasty, perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful seasoning. The oxtail was just as delicious—melts in your mouth and packed with rich, savory goodness. The atmosphere here is lively and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal. Keep up the amazing work—this place truly stands out! I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Cannot rave about this place enough!! Food was SOOO delicious 🤤 My hubby and I are visiting FLL from East TN, and as verified food lovers, we will be back to this restaurant for future trips! The oxtail was OUT OF THIS WORLD yummy and tender, we gobbled every bite. Also ordered the jerk chicken slathered in jerk sauce, jerk rice, yellow rice, and sweet yams. We were stuffed full from the heaping, generous portions but could not put our forks down lol 😂 The owner was very kind and thoughtful, especially with our toddler dining in.

We stayed in the area 1 night after a cruise and were just killing time before our rom was ready. My wife and I decided to find a place to eat lunch and googled restaurants near me. Absolutely the best decision!!! From all of the great positive message signs on the walls, to the very comfortable air conditioning, and the clean atmosphere/friendly staff. That all pales comparison to the food. We ordered fried chicken, yams, Jamaican brown stew chicken, and rice. If you ask me what my favorite thing was, I would simply respond, "That is an impossible question to answer" Im a foodie and each of the items we had, I'd classify as the best I've ever eaten. The farmers market side of things is amazing fresh produce. The area is not where i would normally stay, but I consider myself lucky to have booked here and stumbled upon this jewel. I plea to the owners to contact me so we can get you a location in Nashville, TN. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

We discovered this friendly family restaurant managed by a nice couple who provided unique customer service and a warm inviting atmosphere. Food was very delicious with very generous portions. Menu contained varied selections of great dishes. No issues with parking or access to this restaurant. Will definitely return when in Ft Lauderdale again.

Wow, where do I start? I ordered oxtails and rice and peas with cabbage. I topped things off with the lemon pound cake for my choice of desert. The food was good and I even asked for extra oxtail gravy and there wasn't any hesitation from the server. Tasty food, recommended

You can’t beat this $6.99 lunch special. Had the curry chicken and it was absolutely delicious Just amazing Jamaican food. Beautiful place. Friendly service and a ton to choose from. We will definitely be going back.

I went to Oak Cafe for Sunday dinner and ordered the curried goat with rice and peas and collard greens. The food was very flavorful, and good portion! The atmosphere as music was great and the service was good. Highly recommended.

I was here today and ordered the turkey wing, rice and cabbage. I was satisfied with my meal. This was not my first visit and it will not be my last. If you need good food, this is where you need to visit.

I have been going to Oak Cafe & Farmer’s Market for lunch pretty often lately, and I’m still blown away by how great it is. The food—wow. Literally kept saying “wow” out loud (and I almost NEVER do that!). It was that good. Such kind people, unique aura. Such a gem of a place. Highly recommend!

Attended a repast and was pleased with the set up. The food was very good. No fault with the food I took off 1* just because - The drink (lemonade) was deliciously sweet and I asked for some ice. I was dismissed with a "haughty" "there's no ice". I later noticed they had bags and bags of ice stored in the ice box. It didn't take much to be accommodating and it respond more pleasantly. Reviews are great referrals and business owners should treat all "prospective" customers with respect. I was very disappointed with the dismissive attitude

Went for Sunday dinner. We purchased the turkey, collard and Mac n cheese and 2 oxtail dinners with peas and rice and cabbage. The turkey was tender but could have used a little more seasoning, the colkards also. The mac' ncheese needed more milk and cheese. You get 4pcs oxtail with the reg dinner. Needs work.

Disappointed with the lack of transparency I was ready to give a good review, but unfortunately, that won’t be possible. My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch at Oak Café & Farmers Market because of the good reviews. We decided to dine in, but no menu was offered, the person who seemed to be the owner just mentioned the daily options. My boyfriend ordered the lobster, and I had the chicken soup. Everything seemed fine until we got the check, $58. Based on their online menu, the lobster is around $30 and the soup $10, which should total about $43.85, not $55+. When I asked how much the lobster cost, he refused to tell me, only saying the total “included everything” and that the original price was $60, but he gave us a “discount.” The food was okay, the soup was cold, and the lobster was overcooked, but we didn’t even complain. What really disappointed us was the lack of honesty and transparency in the bill. Advice for future customers: ask for a detailed receipt before paying, so you don’t go through the same situation. A real shame, because the place had potential.
