El Sombrero Mexican Grill (Subway) in Ocoee is known for excellent and fast service, especially when Love or Darby are working. Customers frequently praise the friendly and efficient staff, although some reviews mention understaffing and occasional stock issues.
Tip: Request Love for amazing service and a positive attitude. Be aware that the restaurant can be understaffed, especially on Saturdays.
Stephanie was polite and friendly, she made me great sandwiches. Very clean store. Manager was delightful.
Food is always fresh and healthy. Good selections for kids menus. Clean and well organized. Staff very efficient.
Great food great service the new manager deondra helps me out everytime
They make good subs, have fair prices and you can get in and out quickly.
There is a lady that works in the morning (I believe she is Indian) , she is a very nice and one reason I come here almost every morning.
We always get great subs and always made with a great attitude!
Excellent service. Food was delicious and the whole place was super clean including the restrooms.
Stopped at Subway for the first time in a long time. Gwen had to be the nicest employee I've ever encountered. Very cool, Great recommendations. When I got home and ate my sub. Enjoyed it so much I plan on returning again soon.
My go-to location. Darby is always so sweet to me and my kids. She is fast and efficient and always energetic.
Didn’t get her name but she was so sweet & welcoming <3
I didn't get the name of the nice lady who prepared my 4 sandwiches, but she was quick, polite and totally professional. She was a team on her own. A one woman team.
Love definitely have the most amazing service , she smiled the whole time and kept a calm and positive attitude. It’s sad she was alone for the 7 customers she had alongside with the constant online orders . I usually don’t buy here unless she’s serving , so if you want a great service request Love , she gets the job done the most effective way possible. This is what customer service should be , again do not go to anyone else but her! As far as the food , It was great , no complaints.
Met this beautiful young lady, very high spirited, you can tell she’s full of love, and crazy love is her name. She did an amazing job on my sub very quickly compared to the other workers I’ve ordered from. Never met a 17 years old with her type of mindset, now every time I go in I have to ask for her and if she isn’t there I walk out. If you want good customer service go to her, if she’s not there the store lost its value at that point and just go somewhere else. Had to give my lovely friend a $50 tip, really an amazing person, I hope she doesn’t work there for ever, she’s gonna be great in life.
The young people working there, one young man one young lady, were very mannerable and respectful. They even had to endure two separate people being rude to them. They did not respond negatively, they only kept working and did a good job on all the sandwiches that I ordered. I think one young man was new. Corporate should promote the young lady and congratulate the new kid because they did a great job.
I had the best experience at subway today. I came in to order and this nice young lady greeted me. She took my order and was very professional. I also remember her telling me her name was Love (beautiful name). We had a nice but short conversation, I will definitely be back for another sub.

Really great staff! I feel that their portions have gone down, but the food still tastes great!
Staff is nice Subway food quality is going downhill not just this store all subways. Not the way it's made but the quality of food they r buying in
Love the Sunrise breakfast on flatbread. Nice quiet breakfast here this morning. Restaurant was clean & the sandwich artist was friendly! I’ve been here many times & haven’t ever had a bad experience.
The venue is Beautiful, just plan to arrive early because parking can be an issue especially if you are running late. Will definitely return to this venue.

Went there on 10/14/23 around 1:15pm and the young gentleman named Xavier or Zavier was very nice and accommodating. I asked him to toss my chicken in a little buffalo sauce and he did it with no problem. A simple gesture such as that goes a long way and displays excellent customer service and I truly appreciated it. The young African American lady who was working next to him that day made a slick comment about him going above and beyond stating he should not have done that for me. She stated and I quote “You don’t sell the bowl you tossed her chicken in.” She seemed to rude and to have an attitude with Xavier trying to satisfy as customer. DID NOT appreciate her, but shout out to Xavier and thank you for your service. I worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years as a waitress. If I can accommodate a guest and make something happen I do it to the best of my ability with the tools I have.
Decent location but the entire store is being handled by one person on a Saturday. This definitely affects service even though the girl did a good job taking care of all customers.

I usually have no complaints, but this one time I actually got stale bread... but other wise great experience, smiling faces a d all.
I do an Outreach, which feeds different parts of Orlando, Orange County. I placed an order, close to $300 (30 subs cut in half, equalling 60 subs). I specifically said Turkey sub with only cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. NO MAYO nor MUSTARD. However, I requested that mayo and mustard packs be in the bag. They were in the bag BUT the person who filled the order put mayo on every sandwich 😠. Not only did it make the bread soggy but everyone doesn't eat mayo. So dissapointed at my first experience with this location off of Silverstar and Clark. I will not use them again.
Alan refused to make fresh cookies upon request. Even though i have been to plenty of Subways and they done so. Judy was amazing which earned this store 5/5, but Alan ruined my experience with stale cookies. 3/5.
Great customer service. Had a nice conversation with the sandwich artist. I didn’t catch her name but we talked about tattoos. Got the blt with egg. It was ok but the flatbread tasted old.

Bad Customer Service very unwelcoming rude service
Bad Customer Service very unwelcoming rude service
I’m done paying for a low to mediocre sandwich for that same price you can get much better food that isn’t frozen and gross plz beautiful people stop this giant waste of money and health
Against my better judgment, I suggested subway last night. I got the steak and cheese. It was disgusting. Now I know why I never eat subway. Just a terrible sandwich.
an employee by the name of kashyra is charging me extra for more vegetables! She is very rude and ignorant, terminate her immediately!
The employees were outside smoking cigarettes and didn’t wash their hands also they put my sub in the microwave instead of the oven very bad experience I won’t be coming to this ghetto subway
Ingredients usually go in the sandwich not smeared all over the wrapper on the side of the sandwich.
Placed online order. Got a call from subway that there’s no bread. I asked them to cancel order and was told I need to call my bank or subway. Asked for subway’s telephone number, worker said she didn’t know it.
Please don’t go to this please in the night the employee close the store 9 o’clock and hour stores in their website and store door is close 10 pm and they ignore you , bad place
Waited like 10 minutes. No one was in the front to ask me my order. Hire more staff....
Wouldn't swap a cup with a bottle of tea, even though we bought the cup thinking they would have tea.
Absolutely would never come here. I went to this subway for work , I was picking up an uber eats order and wow the woman on the register was just extra rude. This was today Friday 12/9 around 11ish. I asked for the order when the lady proceeded to rudely tell me they had no such order. I contacted uber , which uber proceeded to call the store and the woman didn't even bother to deal with customer service. All I heard was the lady say where are you calling from and the woman straight up hung up on the employee.... Thank God Uber is way better at customer service and found an alternative way to fix this issue. Because that woman was not helping anyone .
My daughter wanted Subway for lunch. We've eaten at many Subway locations the past few months but this one decided to be very rude and condescending and lied about mandates regarding masks. The two old ladies behind the counter do not have the right to belittle customers or embarrass them or be rude. That's not how you run a business. I will not return to this location ever again and I encourage everyone else to avoid this location and give your money to establishments that have respect for customers.
Woman very rude. Made incorrect sandwich, and when we corrected her- we were told it was our fault. Poor service. Will not return. 7/7/24 3:00pm.
They don’t wash their hands in between cash handling and before they put there gloves on , my 6 inch sub isn’t even 6 inches and I pointed that out and the “Sub Artist “ claimed it was luckily I didn’t have my measuring tape on me lol, it’s more like a 4 inch she was rude put 2 olives on my sub I asked for more she gave me a look , Customer service here has gone to hell took my entire lunch time away bc they are very slowly making subs , if you don’t like your job find something you like !
Thursday February 9, approximately 145PM, went to this subway to grab lunch for our 15 athletes and 3 coaches and were turned away. Specifically, the employee working behind the counter said she “personally will not be making that many sandwiches.” Per the employee, that was too many sandwiches for her and it should have been a catering order instead. Pathetic and highly disappointing.
I came at 9:50 and they didn't want to attend to me because it was already closed and on the website it says it closes at 10:30
Feb 27,2026 order was placed online at 11am for pick up at 12:30. Order not even process at 1pm because they have one person working and there a line of people waiting. I asked the lady, when would the online order be ready? Boy she spoke to me like I had physically attacked her or something. You should never yelled at customers for just wondering about their order that is paid for. There should be more staff working that location. The manager is doing a horrible job at organizing this location. The manager needs to fix this issue. I won't be returning to that location. If I had not paid for the order believe me I would have walked out on the spot. That lady has no right to talk to customer like that. horrible horrible service.
Disappointing Experience at Subway on Clark Rd and Silver Star I recently visited the Subway on Clark Rd and Silver Star with my son, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. We walked in around 9:15 AM, eager to place an order, but were met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. There was a lady at the cash register who didn’t greet us or acknowledge our presence. After a few minutes of waiting in silence, my son politely asked to place an order. Instead of a simple acknowledgment, she responded with sarcasm, saying, "My light is not even on. If you had given me a few minutes, I would have been done." This kind of attitude is not only unprofessional but also unnecessary. I understand that everyone has off days, but there is no excuse for speaking to customers in such a dismissive manner. We left feeling disheartened and decided to take our business to Publix instead. Customer service is crucial in any establishment, especially one that relies on patrons to support it. I believe Subway should prioritize hiring individuals who can engage with customers in a respectful and friendly way. A simple greeting or acknowledgment can go a long way in making customers feel valued. I hope this feedback helps improve the service at this location in the future.
Just went there to order a sandwich and the lady that helped me was super unprofessional. She was very hypersensitive and argumentative. I placed my order and noticed I didn’t see the cheese I requested. She said it’s on there on the bottom we made new changes on how we make the subs and we no longer put the cheese on top. I said oh I wish I knew that because I like my cheese on top. She said it’s a new way they are doing it now and I said I was just at a subway last week and they did it how I normally get it and she said like I said it’s a new way. I just do what my manager tells me to do. Basically you have to have your sandwich made the way they want you to have it even with toppings and condiments. I said for future if you make changes you should inform the customer since some people are extremely picky and might have you remake the sub. Customers should be able to have their subs made the way they want it and she said you don’t pay my bills my manager does so I’m doing what my manager says to do. I said something about being pregnant and wanting my stuff made a certain way and she said oh I have been pregnant too and understood. Then I went to tell her how I wanted my condiments added and she said we have to do it a certain way now and I said can you just add it how are would like it and she was giving me a hard time. I finally just wanted to get out of there and tried to pay and she refused to let me pay and said it’s on her today because she upset me and I really just wanted to pay and not come back there ever again. Finally she let me pay and was still rambling on and on about what her manager wants and that’s how it will be and said I was about to make her cry which idk how. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what the problem was but it was so awkward that I said you really need to take a deep breath and stop. I don’t want to go back and forth with you I just wanted to pay and not come back here again. After I left she locked the door behind me. I’m not sure if she was on any drugs or what was going on but that definitely wasn’t a normal interaction. I never heard of a customer not being able to order a sub the way they wanted.
I was asked when I walked in if I was picking up, I said yes. They pointed to 2 receipts and only one page on the counter. Since it was the only bag I didn’t check the info which was my mistake. Once I got home I realized I had the wrong bag, I had opened the bag and seen more subs than I ordered but did not open the sandwiches. I called and explained the situation, the lady on the phone was extremely rude and disrespectful, I offered to bring the sandwiches back and pick mine up, and they refused. Was verbally attacked on the phone for about 20 minutes running in circles when all I was trying to do was get the food I paid for. Horrible experience and I will not be returning to that location.
I placed my order online immediately called the store after placing my order because there isn’t an option online to toast the sandwiches. I called and asked if they could toast our sandwiches and explained that the option wasn’t online but then they told me that they already made the order? I don’t understand how that would have been possible if I sent it within 1 minute of me calling. They said they could toast it with all the veggies on it and I said no because 1. Why would I want hot veggies and 2. Since when do you toast sandwiches with everything on them you don’t do that in store. Sarah gave me an attitude over the phone and when I arrived of course it wasn’t toasted because they wanted to be lazy.
This subway unfortunately struggles to have items in stock: white bread, tomatoes, cheese to name a few missing today. The workers are understaffed for the amount of traffic at this location. I feel bad because they are drowning in walk-ins and online orders. Manage needs to hire more and figure out how to stock. I will not be coming back hear.
