I was on a motorcycle trip and stopped here for quick bite, the double cheeseburger and onion rings filled the hole nicely.

Gotta love the Pied Piper man, it's been an institution and a tradition for generations! All things considered, still a decent value as well as quality ice creams.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun and safe at the same time. Our whole family had a great time.

Great place to eat lunch type food (burgers fries, ice cream). With the lake right out back you can go sit and have a nice view. The vanilla soft serve is amazing, almost like a custard. It's right across from the water park too, so grab some food and go back in to the park!

Fantastic ice cream stand sell Byrne dairy ice cream. My husband had the Adirondack Black Bear I myself had a twist in waffle cone with chocolate mint sprinkles. Prices are fair for a resort area.

Piped Piper has been a steeple of the Old Forge Hamlet community along the likes of Enchanted Forest Water Safari, which just so happens to be located right across the street. Good selection and decently priced, you get a lot for your money. Picnic tables are available to the rear and sides of the establishment. Ice Cream stand is also a great stop and worth the wait. Hopefully they bring back their Adirondack High Peaks Flavor ice cream (which they didn't have this year).

Finally, my craving has been satisfied!! Took me an 20 hour drive to New York, but I finally got my Soft serve Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate sprinkles!! Our family trip this year was to Enchanted Forest Water Safari, and conveniently located across the street, the PIED PIPER!! This was a perfect trip!! We ordered a small cone, which seemed to me like a large size at other places!! Portions are great ans at a great price!! Highly reccomend visiting them, they have more than soft serve and icecream, they also have hot foods as well!!

I get the fried clams meal every time I'm in Old Forge. The portions are more than I can eat at one sitting and the price is reasonable.

This place is a great place to go for dinner. My favorite thing to get ( I like spicy stuff) is the buffalo chicken finger. Me and my family usually go here before we head back home.

Absolutely awesome. Growing up in the 80's and vacationing in Old Forge, I always wanted to stop here. My parents never did. This year on our trip we stopped here and took our kids. We got hot dogs, chili cheese fries, chicken tenders, and regular fries. Everything was absolutely killer! The sauerkraut was great, the hot dogs were quality dogs, and the fries and chili on them was perfect. Tip: As for the Pied Sauce. A bit spicy and creamy. It was great on top of the Kraut Dog. The ice cream was quality as well. If they have the Adirondack Black Bear, get it. They are known for it. Don't pass this gem by. The food is great, the staff is even friendlier.

My fiance and I thought this place was super boss! We had the chili cheese fries and they really hit the snack spot on our long drive. Prices were fair and the fries were crispy and delicious. Also, there was a beautiful view of fall colors over the nearby lake as we waited for the food. We will be back for the hot fudge sundae!

We had the absolute best lady take our order! She had a really positive attitude and her positivity was contagious! We had a great overall experience! They had the cutest little slogan for when they got tips too. The lady who took our order said “tip tip” and the rest of the crew said “hooray!” A fun way to keep up moral!

I took twin 5 year old boys, a six year old girl and a 14 year old girl to Old Forge and we decided to eat at the Pied Piper. It was hella busy that last Sunday of August and the lines were long to order food. It took a long time to order, but the food was ready quicker than I expected. The tater tots were crispy and delicious. The hot dogs were very good, the cheeseburgers and the cheese fries were great. It was a bit pricey, but everything was so good that it was worth every dime to have a bunch of picky kids all end up happy with their meals and ready to watch the fireworks over Old Forge Pond.

After a wonky weather day at the local Waterpark, we were exhausted and in search of comfort food. We found it just up and across the street at the Pied Piper! After thoroughly scanning the menu, and finding it very hard to choose from the many delicious sounding options, I approached the window where a very pleasant young woman greeted me. I said "Hi, I have a question, I noticed all of your fried snack options and wondered if you have a sampler platter?" She smiled and quickly said "We do not, but I will make you one. What were you thinking?" and began to list the exact items and exact number I would have chosen. It's like she was in my brain. We were snack soul sisters! When our order was ready she'd even added fries to it! My son ordered the pulled pork sandwich platter and ate it so fast that I'm not sure he even chewed, or took a breath! The food was amazing! I don't know how we had room, but we went back up to the front of the building and both got small soft serve cones before our long drive back home. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Old Forge! Please make the Sampler Platter a permanent fixture! It's so good!! ❤️

Great food and lovely people. It’s been in business over 70 years it’s no surprise. They have great food for great prices, a beautiful view at their seating area, and they really capture the summer in the Adirondack vibe. They also have a cute souvenir shop attached. Definitely a must after a long day at water safari. Please be sure to request adding a tip when you pay by card!!! They’re extremely appreciative and absolutely deserve it. ❤️

I always love visiting Pied Piper when I am in Old Forge. They have a classic selection of American drive in fast food that tastes great. I recommend getting the cheeseburger and cheese fries. What is my sleeper pick is getting a chocolate shake. It’s so smooth it’s like a drinking perfectly cold chocolate milk. It’s hard to describe but it’s so good. They also have a nice ice cream spot attached and the soft serve they have there is also great. On top of all of this they have a nice little store on the side which is worth stopping into as well.

I love eating here everytime I visit Old Forge. The food is all excellent. I love the chicken sandwich, burgers, onion rings and ranch. The milkshakes are super good. It's like a classic. You can't go wrong with the food plus ice cream. The staff is all very nice and the beach is right there too. I will always be a returning customer everytime I visit... Wow, this place is awesome! The spicy chicken sandwich with blue cheese dressing hit it out of the park. There is a large selection for everyone's taste! And don't even get me started on the most delicious chocolate milk shake I have had in years! And as an added bonus is¹ the ADK (Adirondack) Store for any size novelty shirts, sweatshirts (currently on-sale)! So stop in after you eat and enjoy a new ADK shirt.

Popular place! It's been here since I can remember as a teen. Good variety of soft and hard ice creams. They have grill food too. Hamburger and chicken sandwich for good. Fries were good too. They have two bathrooms which is nice especially if you need to do a quick pit stop with your ice cream treat!

Fun place, prices are a little high and bathroom needed a new light bulb and bc there was no window (thus very dark!), it was a little awkward. Milkshake was made exactly as I asked and it was good! Staff was very pleasant. The T-shirt shop at the back was really nice with reasonable prices.

First time vacationing Old Forge and was told I had to stop here for some ice cream. Got onion rings and a strawberry milkshake anyway XD. Service was fast, both were good. Other foods and ices creams passing by on the wait looked great as well. Can get busy.

My boyfriend and I were visiting and he wanted to try the food here. The food was great but the woman working the window was pretty rude. I ordered mozzarella sticks and was given them but wasn’t given a marinara sauce. When I asked her about the sauce she scoffed and rudely asserted that it was a sauce you had to ask for. This was the first and only time I’ve had to ask for marinara when I’ve ordered mozzarella sticks. For how expensive the food was I’d expect to have been provided two without having to ask.

It's a great little fast food place. Dogs, burgers, chicken, fish, fries, and ice cream. They are ok. 3 is the right number. The people are good but the food is about what you expect. Once my wife got moldy fries, but usually they are fine.

Good ice cream - many choices. Pretty pricey - an ice cream for me and my husband cost $16! Open longer then other places. If you look inside it looks pretty dirty...

Food cooked to order so it takes a while. Found it interesting that some one after me ordered a complex burger and he got it before my plain hamburger. Wasps hovered around so watch out if you are allergic.

Pied Piper is a great place to take your family for a quick lunch in Old Forge. 3.25/5 I've come here many times since I was a kid. The past few years my family and I take a camping trip once to twice every summer and we frequently stop here at least once. Pied Piper has that nostalgic vibe with their overall appearance, nothing really modern is here. My father-in-law and I both ordered fish sandwiches earlier today, however our fish was extremely overcooked and dry. They were quite busy so I didn't want to try and request new ones. The cheese fries were pretty solid, and were crunchy enough to not get all soggy from the cheese. Also my pepsi soda was fresh and great. Lastly the ice cream is in my opinion the best reason to come here. There is a great selection across the board with a lot to offer! I'm giving my rating based on my current experience, I think had I gotten a burger it would've been less disappointing. Nonetheless, I will still come back here and update my review if the experience is better! I still recommend coming here!

Unfortunately something about my buffalo chicken sandwich tasted off/plasticky, like when something sits in its packaging for too long. It was definitely part of the tenders, likely either the buffalo sauce or the breading. It was edible but didn't taste great.

Honestly, it’s a pretty mid-level ice cream place. I’ve been to many ice cream places over the years and I have to say that this one is not the best, but not the worst. The menu is definitely hard to read. If you’re looking for different, good tasting ice cream, I wouldn’t recommend here. It’s just the regular old ice cream. Nothing special. I’m my opinion, ice cream stands such as Nicky Doodles or Martha’s Dandee Cream are better. :) Also, there was only 2 people as the staff. They need more! Line went very slow.

Went there for ice cream. It tasted cheap, low quality.

We received tiny ice cream portions for a normal price. For 5 cones (3 small, 1 kiddie and 1 med)- the medium was the same size as the small. We'll check out the other ice cream places in town for the rest of our vacation....

Family of 6 for ice cream: $35.07! And their medium was the size of most other's small. Disappointed. They now take credit cards (didn't before) but pass the 3.95% fee on to customers, which I'm pretty sure is a violation of the merchant agreement.

Found a dead fly in with my food. No offer for a refund or the like. Was simply told that the food preparers "need glasses or something."

Long lines and high prices. Employees not wearing gloves or hair restraints for food prep. Ran out of everything. Total waste of space.

Disgusting burgers. My kids and I were very disappointed. The patties are clearly frozen and these tasted like cheap, bad meat. Awful! Do not get the burgers! Thank God my hotel is minutes away cuz I had to run for the bathroom. Can't speak for anything else though......maybe the other stuff is ok.

Mediocre ice cream. Very apathetic young waitress. I ordered a coffee shake and when it came back tasting mostly like vanilla and I clearly didn’t like it, she made no attempt to correct.

Reply to owner - How would she know there was metal hidden in her sandwich without attempting to consume it? I notified you immediately of the metal in her food and you did not offer a refund or remake. She then spoke to you about it again after our meal, and you refused to refund the sandwich. The metal cord twist tie that my daughter found in her mouth while she was eating a pied piper sandwich could have been very dangerous. The owner (who admitted that he himself had made the sandwich and added the metal wire) was on the premises and could have given her a refund for this sandwich, but refused to. This whole scene suggests sloppy and indifferent management which could affect your safety. I suggest eating elsewhere.

My partner bit down on a piece of wire in her sandwich. When it was brought to the staff’s attention, they said “that stinks.” and threw it in the garbage. They made an announcement to the whole line of people about to order, saying something to the effect of “if there’s anything wrong with your food or you find something in it, let us know before you eat it and we’ll remake it.” Completely unsympathetic and unfazed by the health risks they’re serving.

Meh... Chocolate flavored ice cream had very little chocolate flavor to it. The cherry hardening topping was like soup and didn't look the color of Cherry.
