A historic restaurant serving traditional dishes. The exterior looks a bit shabby, but inside, the old ambiance has been beautifully preserved. Unfortunately, not all the dishes listed on the menu at the entrance were available, but we were still very satisfied with what we ordered. Perhaps the casoncelli weren't (personally) 5-star-worthy because the homemade pasta was a bit too thick, but the rest of the food was truly amazing. I hadn't heard of the foiade with hare ragù, but it was truly heartwarming: thick pasta that melts in your mouth, and a fantastic sauce. A true explosion of flavors. The polenta covered in porcini mushrooms, still slightly crunchy, was excellent. To finish, an apple pie and a good coffee. Prices are absolutely right for the quality and quantity. One of the places to consider when in the area.

A rustic restaurant with a spectacular 17th-century fireplace at the entrance. The menu is entirely inspired by local dishes. We tried the casoncelli alla bergamasca. I've rarely tasted anything so flavorful. Speaking to the chef afterwards, he made sure to point out that he makes them entirely by hand, and the filling is made with three meats selected by him. Definitely worth a try. Then there's the foiade with hare ragù, braised beef in Barolo, and polenta and mushrooms. Everything was super flavorful. Friendly staff and quick service. Wines are available by the bottle or in bulk (we tried the bulk, which was very good). Reasonable prices for the quality. We'll definitely be back.

Great place to eat! Authentic food served by authentic staff. Don't expect an english/german written menue. Just eat what is suggested by the staff... it will be great, even if you do not understand what he is saying (like us). We'll be back!

Wonderful place, the atmosphere preserved as it once was. Very kind staff and fantastic food. There were four of us and we ate everything you see in the attached photos plus dessert, coffee, and grappa for only €35 each. A gastronomic experience and day trip worth repeating.

A historic place with an old-world feel, perhaps from the early 20th century. The photos on the walls depict characters that touch your heart. We had the classic polenta. It was excellent. The owner entertained us with stories from his childhood. The prices are more than fair.

We tried the excellent fresh pasta, rigorously handmade according to tradition, which you could taste in every bite. The main courses were also very tasty and satisfying, accompanied by a soft and flavorful polenta that paired perfectly with the meats. The selection of desserts was also noteworthy, all strictly homemade and authentic in flavor. In my opinion, to round out such a genuine menu, a small selection of local dairy products or a platter of traditional cheeses would be interesting and welcome.

Rustic and characteristic mountain environment, here you can eat real traditional Bergamo cuisine, both the casoncelli and the braised meat with polenta are excellent, every time we pass by Olmo it is a fixed stop for a lunch with friends

A historic and authentic place that fortunately hasn't succumbed to the passing fads of time. The traditional Bergamo menu is very good, and the owners are very friendly. Recommended restaurant, good value.

Ristorante - Albergo Della Salute, Olmo al Brembo bg. 😊 è sempre un piacere. Questa storica trattoria, un tempo sosta imprescindibile di carrettieri cavalli e carretti, ha almeno 400 anni e ha mantenuto le caratteristiche del rinnovo di un secolo fa. Visitate le salette (gli affreschi residui), l’esterno con la fonte (nella foto) e soprattutto il grande camino antico. Alle pareti tante incredibili foto della Valle dell’Olmo che fu e atmosfera di montagna e alpinismo (di qui sono passati Bonatti, Camerlander, Simone Moro, Manolo, Tomo Česen e Ines Bosick, Oreste del Forno, Cosimo Zappelli, Casarotto, Alberto Re, Miki Oprandi e tanti altri). ‘La Salute”, come si dice qui, vi tuffa nel mondo di ieri, nella semplicità e nel piacere di una ristorazione popolare ormai scomparsa, fagocitata dall’insopportabile food-marketing che sta rovinando cultura, tradizione, prodotti, cucina e paese. Sapori dell’Altobrembo e i migliori funghi della valle.
