Words won't do justice for the impeccable service we received from Josh during a time when it was slammed from a store closing the hill. He was attentive, cheerful, and motivated to provide an excellent customer experience. Josh, and his team, dominated the rush and had us all in and out in no time. As a manager of a distillery, I'd kill for an employee as great as he was. Whatever you have to do to keep him, do it.
This place was an amazing find for our trip to Squaw. The live music was awesome and the scene was super vibrant. Definitely try to get seats up front near the bar area if anyone is playing so that you can feel like you're in the action.
22 is a rad spot for some food and beer. Mostly because our sever, Bianca, was so rad! Awesome service and she hooked us up with some awesome info about where to ski. 4 stars for the restaurant. 5+ stars for the homie Bianca!!
I had a lovely lunch at 22 Bistro on my last ski day of my weeklong vacation. Was lucky to get a table outside. Ordered a negroni and Dragonfly Thai Noodle Bowl, and it was my favorite meal of the week! 2 days later I am still salivating over those noodles.
Ty, charisma incarnate, a beautiful man. Charm and charisma. The night started with a great cocktail, the KT Espresso Martini. And ended with the goulash. The banter and charm are unmatched, 10/10
Great food and great staff. Always enjoy going there during the ski season. Its my favorite bar & restaurant..
Very good food...I had buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and loved it. They did great job with social distancing. Blair was our waiter and he worked so hard yet gave us personal service.
I've been here about a hundred times. Good apres apres ski place. It's too crowded with lots of kids right after skiing on Saturday night. I often go here around 6pm. We usually eat in the bar and the burger is always good. Beer can chicken is a favorite too. On a cold night, dress warm as there are no double doors and there are frequent blasts of cold air; especially if seated near the door. Please don't hold the door open! Wish they put in double doors. Service is good and friendly.
My sister and I had such a good time here while on a little ski vacation in Squaw! They have a variety of hot (alcoholic) drinks that were delicious. Food was good, the jackfruit tostadas were excellent! Vegan burger (more of a sandwich) was quite delicious, which is always a nice surprise when there are very limited vegan options. We also had some raspberry sorbet, I’m not a huge sorbet fan but it was super flavorful and delicious! Would come again
Lifts were on hold so we decided to get some food while waiting. I had the Mediterranean mezze platter and the boyfriend had a bacon cheeseburger with fried. The platter was exactly what I needed and the cheeseburgers looked good. The fries were delicious. We will definitely be back.
Service is fast and great. All item we ordered were tasty. The burgers, salad, and soup exceeded the expectations. The fries were particularly well made. The spaces were a bit crowded though.
Great views, great food and fun place to be. Attended Chef Billy's special Maine Coast Lobster 3 course feast tonight and it was excellent. Just know when eating outside other locals like the meat bees will join you. Just set a plate with something on it away from you and they'll land there. They don't sting or bite unless you grab ahold of one a squish it. They are as annoying as flies, but no more or less dangerous.
Great little spot right off the slopes. You pay for the closeness but it was probably the best burger I've had up in the lake Tahoe area. Drinks were good and my wife said it was an excellent bloody Mary. Server was polite and chill. Live music on the patio, can't beat it.
22 Bistro, in my opinion, has always been one of the better dining options in the Squaw Valley Village / Palisades Tahoe Village. Their current menu features a good number of small dishes / appetizers, and gastro pub type food including sandwiches, sliders, tacos, and more. The food is tasty and also reasonably priced, especially when compared to other choices on the mountain. Unfortunately, this, just like all other restaurants in the area, is impacted by understaffing issues leading to early closures and drops in quality.
Everything was DELICIOUS and it was reasonably priced for the kind and amount of food you get. Nice ambiance, too, but a little cramped for groups.
The grilled chicken club was amazing. Everything about it was on point. The fries were really good too.
Totally recommend the New York Steak and a glass of Prosecco.
Great place to chill after a great day skiing. Nice views of the ski runs at Squaw (oops...Palisades)

Patio for dining with great view of the mountain. Excellent food and service. We had the Dragonfly Thai Noodle Bowl, New York Strip and Bistro Burger. Meat cooked perfectly and very tasty.
Great lunch after our hike. Nachos are amazing pay the extra and get the nachos with chicken. It will feed 4 people and it’s so worth it. Light and airy chips. Tasty salsa. Can’t wait to go back
We stopped in todsy for lunch and the ahi tower and sliders were delicious. Our server Nick is super nice and a great server. We hadn't been in in about 3 months and he remembered us! Ski season is just around the corner and we will look forward to dining there again soon. Hope we get Nick as our server.

Great location at the bottom of the hill. Good patio if you can get a spot. The food was quite good as well. Only downside would be the service but it was pretty busy.
If you're looking for the party spot after skiing, this is it. Lots of fun, but know it'll be super busy so keep that in mind. Food is standard American bar food. Margaritas were made properly and tasted delish.
A more "upscale" dining option right at Palisades, 22 is a good option if you're looking for a steak or something other than just pub food. Nothing here is exceptional, but it's reliably good and very conveniently located.
I'm a waiter snob and I had the best waiter. Wish I would have gotten his name, but he was super attentive and he manned a large area by himself. My Whiskeylocious was delicious. My wife said that her hot beverage should have been warmer. I got the Mediterranean Hummus Plate while my wife got sliders. Food was okay, nothing special. **If only I could have this waiter teach others how to wait.
The old fashioned and the wings are good. The noodles are so so. Overall recommended.

Food is pretty good but the service is beyond bad. Been here multiple times and every time it was very obvious our waiter was making an active effort to ignore our efforts to get her attention. I think we went a solid 20mins trying to get her to notice us and she just pretended to stare away... Would not recommend
Rather dry and uninspiring ahi Caesar salad - I had to ask for extra dressing. Couldn’t find the egg, lemon juice or olive oil typical of this dish. Sliders rather surprisingly had blue cheese on them. Music good, right volume. Friendly staff.
Great drinks. Food menu is hit and miss: some good some not. The lighting and seating is a little rough: some booths are so dark you can't see the menu and the seats are super spongy and/or torn.
1st time there and there was no one at the front greeting you. Didn't know if it was open seating or had to wait to be seated. The mac n cheese is something to try. The burger was inconsistent, random parts were pink in the center and some parts were burned.
The music was load. But I'm old. The fried chicken was actually pretty good. The tuna poke not so much. The service was subpar. We probably won't be back.
Overall the atmosphere was lovely, but tbh, the food was only mediocre. The wait staff was friendly and fairly attentive, however we were “forgotten” and the 2nd round of drinks we ordered never arrived. We couldn’t get anyone’s attention so we paid at the outside bar and left. We are here for a week but we won’t be back 🙁
Dinner for 2 was $50. Husband enjoyed his burger, however my $20 pulled pork sandwich was burnt to a crisp and had no flavor. Waitress never asked if we needed a refill and the host had to give us our bill after our waitress walked by us at least 5 times with empty plates. Even though the burger was good, they charge $2 for a slice of cheddar cheese, which is more than the avocado!
Had the Salomon BLT and wings. Both were just ok as salmon was overcooked and pretty dry. Would pick one of the other places in town for lunch next time.

Ok, so this place is in a fantastic location. Perfect view of the slopes. Outdoor and indoor seating. The menu is solid. We were excited about the dishes we ordered: the $19 Beet Salad, and the tri tip burger. The flavors in my salad were good. But I unfortunately got a salad with almost half of the arugula yellow and wilted, or just plain old rotten. The servers were busy so I sat with the salad for awhile. I was hungry enough where I just started picking out all the wilted stuff and ate what was good. My son is an avid beef eater, but he did not like his burger. I've never seen him turn his nose up at a burger. The staff gave us 50% off to make up for it, which I appreciate. P.s. their homemade chips were very good.
It's very cold late in the back room: I was literally shivering for half of our 2.5 hour dinner. I had an excellent Oberon red wine and fantastic food. Our menu (cod, Buddha bowl, mushroom pappardelle pasta) was different than the normal menu, but from everything I saw, I am confident the back of house would execute anything well. Service was OK. Considerate but minimally attentive. We had 3 servers for our ~20 person group -- very generous coverage -- but they were only minimally around and forgot my neighbor's 2nd drink. Not sure if they were working another section, likely so.

Super slow wait staff, we were there during a busy day but she left us alone for an entire drink and then some. Took forever to cash out. Also expensive. Spent more on 2 soups, 1 beer and 1 mixed drink than we did ordering a pizza, appetizer and 2 alcoholic drinks at the pizza place down the road. I would go somewhere else.
I wish I could give two ratings on this. The service was HORRENDOUS. We originally sat outside. The waitress was nice, but slow. We ordered two hot drinks and they took about 10 mins to come. It was getting colder so we decided to move inside. After 10 minutes, the waitress from outside saw we were sitting there with no drinks or anything so asked if we would like to order something even tho it wasn't her section. We ordered two beers and the nachos from the happy hour menu. The nachos were really good. The beer cheese they made was really tasty. Then we wanted to get something else and more beers. 10 mins. 15 mins. no one came by our table. We tried to stop some servers on the way and no one would even make eye contact. Finally after 20 mins I walked up to the bar and ordered beers and the potato donut holes from the bartender. Well after 5 mins trying to flag him down, he rudely demanded that I prove that I was 21. After I went back to my table to get my ID and come back I had to wait another 5 mins for him to serve me. AND THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER PERSON AT THE BAR AND TWO BARTENDERS. He said he would put in the order for the donut holes and served me a beer without the orange that goes with it before stalking off so I asked a bus boy to please give me one. 15 mins later we didn't have out food. We flagged down a waiter so went and the order was never put in. He put it in and they were delivered 5 mins later. They were good. Then no one came to check on our table again. we had to borrow napkins from a few tables over. WORST SERVICE EVER.
Was so excited to try this place! Checked the yummy sounding menu online the day before, and determined they had food my friend and I could eat (gluten free and keto). Called to make sure they would be open on Sunday and got the hours. We arrived at 5:15pm after our 30 mile bike ride, starving! While we were locking up our bikes and getting our legs back, I hear a lady inside say “they are coming in!”. After fixing my helmet hair etc. I walk inside, to be told by a gentleman that they “just closed their kitchen”. I was in shock…5:15pm!!! The beginning of dinner time! He gestured around, saying no customers and directed us to the Mexican place. The Mexican place was slso vacant when we arrived, but they were still serving dinner. Guess what 22bistro…the Mexican place was packed by 5:30…because it’s dinner time! Hope the owner is aware of the silliness going on here. Should have read the other reviews I guess. Sounds like their great menu isn’t available year round, and service is bad. I guess we will never know.
I’ve been here numerous times, and they all sucked. Half the time, they don’t have food because they ran out or don’t have a cook, and the other half of the time they dont have servers and you have to buss the table yourself. It has to be the worst place in Tahoe, and I suspect they’re only open because they overcharge in their drinks and because of the location, they have a steady stream of apres skiers.
Worst customer service of all time. If you want to order, and wait half an hour while your server laughs with his coworkers and sits on his phone, only to realize he has a table to take orders from, go for it. You might get your order for drinks and food taken an hour later.
Had to wait 2 minutes for any employee to appear and seat me. Waited another 12 minutes for anyone to speak to me. Manager lied and said there “was a rush” (I guess me of the 16 people in the restaurant), before she kicked me out for being upset. Blessing in disguise. I had a better dinner at another restaurant, where service was immediate.
Lame... Will never eat here. Hostess was a bitter and jaded. Refused to seat us because we had Starbucks in hand. No outside food or drink policy just lost 22 servers money on a day where half the restaurant was empty. Now sitting at Rocker, with our coffee, waiting on food.
Most insane eating experience we've had in years. Ate here with a group on our ski trip. While the party was a bit large, we had an inordinately complicated meal. To begin, the waitstaff asked us if we wanted to order multiple times after we had, in fact, ordered! We waited over 50 mins to get our food, finally receiving the incorrect orders several times. Multiple dishes never arrived. When one person received the wrong order, and didn't have faith the correct order was coming, she took a bite and was made to feel very bad about apparently eating the bartender's sandwich. Said bartender then yelled across the room, "Who's eating a strange sandwich? That was my lunch!" and his colleague came by to tell us that he was 'very sad'. (Confused why the person delivered the wrong meal was made to feel guilty?) Not a single member of the staff was helpful or accommodating. As the entrees finally arrived, another member of the party was told what they ordered was unavailable (having at this point placed the order 3 times). Our bill at the end was, of course, incorrect-- and charged to the table next to us. Both our table AND the strangers next to us were charged for our meal. We were returned BOTH credit cards in our billfold after a brief tug-of-war with the waitress. The reasoning we were given was that things were 'chaotic'. The restaurant was at 15% capacity.
Very unpleasant experience there on 3/17. Terrible "music" blaring, could not hold a conversation. No unified service. Uncooked & overpriced food. Bathroom filthy: trash overflowing, no soap or paper towels. Worst restaurant experience.
“Third times a charm” says the waitress as she approaches, inquiring about our order. Seems she forgot that the first time, she just asked us if we wanted menus, and the second time was about 30 seconds after that. Upon walking up to the bar my colleague attempted to order drinks.. “ready for beers and shots”, he stated jovially. The bartenders reply, alas, a simple “Good for you.” As she stormed off in a huff. Apparently, good service only happens here if you are wearing Oakley shades, Solomon pants and dragging 15 kids with you.
Food: Tacos were amazing, Caesar salad was alright. Bar Customer Service: Abysmal and unprofessional To start, the lady bar manager and the male bartender were non-stop flirting with each other the whole time i was at the bar (seldom touching, giggling, joking with each other). It’s okay to have fun but when it’s interfering with your operation (such as getting your customers water refilled) do that when you’re not on the clock. To preface, my first interaction with the lady bartender manager when I came to the bar was super nice and friendly, (this including flirting with her subordinate). Ultimately, I had a dispute with this same lady bar manager on my check about how the menu is written. At the top of the “favorites” section it states that Favorites comes with house-made chips and can be substituted for a salad at $3. I assumed since my entree of choice was under Favorites that it came with chips, so I decided I would do the substitution for the salad. After I asked the male bartender to make the switch, he asked if i wanted the salad as a full or a half, and I said “no, I would like the Caesar side salad”. I noticed he gave me a weird look from my response but I just figured that’s the way he was and entered it into the POS as requested. I soon collected my meal, including the salad which looked abnormally large for the typical side Caesar salad. I proceeded to eat it assuming it was a side salad. After i ate my tacos, i asked for the check. I was charged for a 1/2 salad ($8) versus a side salad ($3). I politely stated to the manager that was i charged incorrectly and it should have been $3 not $8 for the salad. She opens up a menu, starts running her finger up and down the menu, and asks me where do I see that. I point to the top of the menu (see picture) of it stating how favorites come with house-made chips and that I wanted to sub them for a side salad, and was wondering why I was given the 1/2 salad instead. Her demeanor changed from happy-go lucky to having an unprofessional attitude. She told me that tacos don’t come with chips and only sandwiches in the favorites do. I asked her, “where does that say that on the menu? Tacos is listed under favorites so i expected chips to come with it.” She said (with an attitude) she would honor it “just this one time, as that’s just how it comes. She reluctantly took off the difference of $5, and adjusted my bill. She was not happy about it (which was clearly displayed by her facial expressions and body language), and I felt like she took it personally as if she had to pay for the difference. Change your menu design or verbalize that to every one of your customers if you want to avoid confusion.
Went here for NYE and received the most rude, hostile, and racist encounter with one of the female bartenders. She was very impatient and had a very bad attitude from the jump. My boyfriend asked for a shot and he asked what kind of tequila they have and she said "There is a whole wall to choose from" then for the five secs he was trying to decide she walks off. Then I try to get her attention by saying "excuse me" in a polite manner and her response totally takes me aback. She says "don't excuse me, I'm busy" ????? I said I'm aware, then tell my boyfriend she has an attitude...she processes to say if you have a problem with my attitude you can leave -- trying to make a scene. We left. I refuse to spend money where I'm not welcomed. This is my first and last time visiting because of this one bartender. It was blatant racism because she purposely ignored us before we had to flag her down. What a way to ring in 2026... Brunette, black shirt with bows in the front showing a bit of midriff, hair in a hair claw. Never again.

At made in Tahoe the show this weekend we ate here both days and the first day a great we had great service and the food was on point but the second day we sat at the table with no napkins and no drinks for almost 20 minutes they charged us and extra because they messed up the fries for chips but over all the food is great but not so much the service
I can’t recall a time that I had worse service than this afternoon at 22 Pub. Beers took over 25 minutes to arrive, then apps took another 20 minutes. Had to go find my own plates and napkins, never brought the extra sauce that we requested, order had to be sent back because was wrong and the check was incorrect. What was supposed to be an enjoyable time after skiing ended up frustrating and angering me.
