After a bit of furniture shopping in Orlando yesterday we went to Gabe’s Subs for some food. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the super friendly staff, they took our order immediately, as we got there after the lunch rush. It’s a well established place that has been around for decades, interior is old school and a bit dated but super clean. Our Subs were made before our eyes with super fresh ingredients, and wonderful bread. Their sub rolls are amazing. The sandwich’s looked fantastic and tasted even better. Super fresh and the bread was to die for. I got the 12 inch Turkey-Ham-Cheese, my wife got an 8 inch Regular/Regular and we shared an order of fries, which were piping hot and good, but the star of the show were the SUBS. Honestly one of the best subs I’ve had. Outstanding overall experience.
Fantastic place the people and the taste. I got the grinder meal great price. And the bread is so soft omgoodness I will be back to try the steak sandwich. Thank you for a great experience.
The food is outstanding! Made fresh to order. It's quick & delicious. I tried their wings for the first time tonight & they are now my favorite wings bar none! Their tuna sub is the best & I've been eating it for the last 20+ years! Kyle Gabriel is a sweetheart and makes my dining experience more enjoyable every time! Visit them you won't regret it! The prices are amazing! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Holy crap that was good. The dude who made the sandwich was awesome. What a great sub! Fries were great too
Honestly surprised by how good the food was. We stopped by after seeing the best survivor sign and were not disappointed. Staff was really friendly and helpful answering our questions. The bread was so fresh. This shop is definitely from the 50s and they’re good at what they do. We ordered a regular grinder, a buffalo chicken sandwich and an order of fries.
Drove over from Melbourne for a doctor's appointment and after we googled chicken wings and subs, it was 20 minutes away, as soon as we walked in I knew we had found the right place! I had a ham and cheese, my wife a tuna on pumpernickel. Fantastic! My teriyaki wings were very tasty too! We will be back!
Very friendly, helpful staff. I ordered a 12" Philly Cheesesteak sub and asked for sweet peppers on the side - it was delicious. Also turned it into a combo ($3.64 more) with curly fries and a large soft drink. This vintage old-style subway shop has been an Orlando favorite since 1958 and feels like a welcome step back in time. // I think next time I'll try their BBQ wings & a milkshake because it all looks delicious!

This place has been here forever and I pass it every day on the work commute. Have to thank my frat brother Mario for introducing me to the wonderful food. It's a College Park landmark and always full of locals every time I've stopped in. Would definitely recommend pulling in here to grab a sub or 2. Subs are always on point here. My favourites are the turkey sub and now the cheese steak with hot peppers. Brought my son here for his first visit today and he loves the mozzarella sticks and grilled cheese. He kept stealing my fries too. Also try the Arnold Palmer (unsweetened tea option) or the Winnie Palmer (if you like sweet tea). Best drinks they have 😁 Staff has always been super friendly and helpful every visit. Real old school mom and pop neighbourhood sandwich shop and you can tell they know their customers.
Probably the best customer service I’ve had anywhere ever. The whole place just gives off local, family owned, authentic, friendly vibes. Can’t beat the price. Food is great! Would definitely come here every day for lunch.
Ate at this place many times in the 70s and early 80s I haven't been there since 1981 or 82 and the food is still phenomenal! Highly recommend one of the oldest sub places in Orlando
Kyle had such a welcoming vibe and the subs were totally delicious! Definitely coming back asap!! Place was super clean and the family owned feel was so comforting.
I’ve been coming here since I was in high school since the early 2000’s. Came back tonight after not going for a few years and I’m always so impressed with them. Kyle is super sweet, they’re so appreciative of your business and they make sure to tell you that. The food is always amazing, the place is clean. I need to make it a point to come in more often and support this long standing family owned College Park gem!
Gabriel’s is a true gem. It was our first time coming and from beginning to end the service was warm, friendly and fun. The place is nostalgic, keeping its family history in tact with cozy vibes. The owner was up front at the counter with staff at hand, giving us recommendations and asking about our days as if we were regulars. My fiancé and I each got a sub combo and they did not disappoint. This was a real treat and experience and we will definitely be coming back!
Best sub in Orlando brings you back to how things were made and the taste is just like the old days forget about the low star reviews there more than likely new generations and don't know any better

I've been going to Gabriel's Sub Shops since the early '70s. The quality, taste, and service is still just as wonderful today as it was 50 years ago. The College Park shop is the last Gabriel's Shop left. Please don't ever go away - Gabriel's cannot be replaced.

Whats not to love about Gabriels!!!!! Cheesesteak sub, AMAZING. Customer service, BEYOND AMAZING. Kyle and crew make you feel like family. Been coming here since I was a kid, and still just as great as before!

Me and my fiance ordered one of their specialty subs the crispy chicken sub andone of their regular subs the meatball sub the regular subs come out quick and taste delicious the specialty subs take a minute or 2 but we'll worth it the sub was loaded and flavorful. We ordered water but their machine mixed it with another drink so it was sugary when I told them my fiance was diabetic they immediately offered him a free zephyr hills bottle l.
Things have never changed at this establishment. It’s always a staple when visiting college park.
I got a cheesesteak sub. It was good, but I expected it to be toasted. The cheese itself wasn’t fully melted. The staff was very friendly and obviously they’ve been around for a while so they know what they’re doing. I definitely will try them again.
Very good flavor, clean sub shop. I order their LARGE size "Regular" (their menu item referred to as a "Regular" refers to an Italian type sandwich - not the size). I enjoyed it but did not find it particularly outstanding nor particularly big.

A long time running sub shop that is one of the few things that hasn't changed in the college Park area. My grandmother used to live in college Park so I grew up going here and not much at all has changed. Super friendly staff but the sandwiches are just kinda mid. I give extra points for the nostalgia as it's a place I like to stop when in college Park and it's a trip down memory lane for me. With that said I would encourage anyone stop and by if you're going through college park to give it a try. It's one of the few things left in College Park that hasn't changed in over 40 years, I would say Jersey Mike's is better but they're everywhere, this is something that's unique.
The staff was genuinely nice and informative. I went to this shop and first tried the Italian which didn’t look like much but had a very intriguing taste with the oil and oregano, so naturally I came back two days later to try something else. Second time I tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and this is the first I’ve ever had a CHEESEsteak sandwich where the cheese was a footnote! It was bad enough that the onions couldn’t be separated but , come on now ! I didn’t see it taste any cheese. That was truly disappointing

Moving from 1 to 3 stars. Food was good. ... I've not eaten. Can't review the food. Ordered ahead and picked up my meal. Food not ready upon arrival. Finally I got my order and it was incomplete. Went back inside and told them I was missing fries. Stood there forever why they handled a phone call of another person missing food (onion rings). Finally left and asked them to keep my fries. I'd trade for a review. Ordered ahead as I was short on time. Check your order before you leave!!
If you are comparing these subs to Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, or Publix, the quality is below all of those and with less variety to customize. If you would like to support a local restaurant in the area then the subs are passable and there are better options including nearby bar/restaurants. The inside is alright with plenty of seating and a classic feel to it. Not the cleanest but not bad. Prices are pretty good. Whoever appeared to be the main owner/manager there was friendly, another teenager looking employee was working there and was robotic, seemed anxious did not smile once. The steak and cheese/philly cheesteak, the meat was luke warm and was stringy and looked/tasted microwaved. The cheese wasnt mixed into it well, actually cannot say I even tasted the cheese. Not good and didnt really want to finish it. Peppers were thrown on the top, a little bit lazy. It fell right apart after one bite. Soggy. The buffalo chicken sub was a little better in the taste, but the chicken was hard in parts like it had been sitting there from the day before and had sauce dumped on it to make it softer. A slice of cheese was slid in underneath. This sub did not break apart. Maybe the cold cuts are better than the hot subs, but with other options nearby you are probably better off going there.
I drive by this sandwich place often and finally got to try it. The menu states staked meat so Im thinking this will be a mighty sub, well... the bread was good and soft but there was no meat and no flavor to my sub :( the Buffalo sub was really spicy too.
