What a wonderful experience! The food is outstanding. I had the biggest glass of bubbles ever for a great price. The sushi was so delicious and fresh. The prices were really good, service was great and the atmosphere was chilled with nice electronic music in the back ground.
Stumbled on this while walking around Downtown with a friend for a weekend getaway. Service was great and it wasn’t too loud that you can’t have a conversation. We got several $5 and $7 sushi’s and they were all good and fresh. Will definitely go back.
Cute place on the smaller side, but fun fact it turns into almost a nightclub vibe in the afternoon. We went for happy hour, and the prices are really good and the roles are big and they’re lychee martini is also very nice.
Deeeeeelicous. Quality is excellent. Variety is impressive. Drink pairings are perfect. Its a great idea for date night.
As a Japanese person with high standards for Japanese cuisine, I can confidently say that Shakai Sushi is the best sushi I’ve had in Orlando. I’ve tried many sushi restaurants in the area, but nothing compares to the quality and taste here! One of the highlights is their Happy Hour, where you can enjoy amazing sushi for just $4–$6. The freshness of the fish and the perfect balance of rice make every bite exceptional. Their rolls are also creative and delicious, offering a great mix of traditional and modern flavors. If you’re looking for authentic and high-quality sushi in Orlando, I highly recommend Shakai Sushi. The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the experience is truly worth it. Don’t miss out!
We just happened upon this restaurant. Honestly, by accident. We were having dinner before a performance of My Fair Lady. This was the Perfect "accident". We ordered a sushi appetizer, some sushi rolls, and a bottle of wine. Everything we had was excellent. The service was great! I will definitely come back again. Forgive the photo of the app, we dug in before taking the picture. It was phenomenal (probably the best thing we ordered)!
This place is beautiful. The food amazing. But i wish the seat could be more comfortable lol
This was the best sushi place in DT Orlando! I'm a big advocate for supporting hidden gems in any city I stay in and coming back to Orlando, I'm shocked by how affordable but high quality the food was here. There were a ton of options to choose from and the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail sashimi (my must have at any sushi restaurant) were very fresh. The eel and sweet shrimp were my favorite though, I'd definitely come back for that. The service was incredible and so friendly. Our server Brian was knowledgeable and even recommended our party a sake to specifically pair with our sushi. We had such a wonderful experience, if you're ever in the Orlando area I highly recommend checking Shakai out!!!!!!!!
I have come here a couple times and its sooooo good! And you really cannot beat their happy hour. I definitely recommend the coconut mojito and the spring rolls 🤤.

Very nice Asian atmosphere with classy decor, great service, and Sushi happy hour deals that rival Publix prices but taste far superior!

Jerrit absolutely made our night fantastic; his service would make us come back and request him as a server again! Sushi was great and fresh. 10/10 Ask for Jerrit!

Great option for a quick lunch at downtown Orlando. The Bento boxes are delicious! They include a protein (chicken or stake) sushi, tempura vegetables, fried rice and they come with soup or salad. Highly recommended 👌
You really cannot beat their happy hour. They opened at 5pm on Thursday so when we got there it wasn't too crowded. By six the place was pretty much full. Great sushi and appetizer options on the HH menu. Drink options were okay, and their tap water was pretty awful but I ordered pellegrino. Bill was only $70 for five rolls, two apps, and 6 drinks so that's a win. We did notice food service getting some what slower as they got more crowded but was a minor inconvenience. Bathrooms are small and can probably benefit from a deep cleaning.
The place was nicely decorated and set the tone for the occasion. We came for Happy Hour. The drinks were well made, and we had spring rolls for appetizers, very good! I gave it 4 ⭐️’s, because the service was a little slow, but polite. Shakai is conveniently located in Downtown Orlando.

We left because they didn't have a good selection of food. We had just left fun-spot and walked over for dinner and wasn't pleased at all. I gave 2 stars for the restaurant being clean
Last time I was there they didn't have much for desserts except cookies. They need to keep the kids out of the buffet nobody wants their dirty snotty hands on everything.yuck!

I've seen this restaurant For a while never had the chance to visit and I wouldn't say it was a let down it was more portion wise was overpriced I had the spicy krab and tuna bites and 14 bucks for 4 little pieces was insane they were delicious but doesn't justify that rest of the sushi was okay small pieces for the price I definitely don't like to bash restaurants But I wasn't satisfied for sure not coming back.
Chicken was good and spring rolls were very fresh. Waffles unfortunately had no flavor were soft and cold. The atmosphere was good but we would have liked a change in music, no variety, the speakers were too loud.

The food was mediocre at best and the sushi offerings were limited and that's being kind
We ordered the sumo steak with "fried potatoes". What we recieved was a steak and French fries. My suggestion is to indicate what you are actually serving, in no way is fried potatoes supposed to be French fries. On top of that the fries were cold. I am not sure who's idea it was to make tempura asparagus, but it was a big disappointment. We also ordered the Teriyaki chicken, which was decent. But the temperature of the food was cold. Not sure if the food is already made and sitting there 🤔. It seems like everyone raves about the happy hour. I think you need to do better on your food game. I would put a hard pass on this restaurant.
Food is good and fresh. The packaging could be a little better for the price you’re paying for. If you’re ordering delivery, receiving utensils and napkins to eat can be a hit or miss depending on if the restaurants feels like bagging it with the order.

Poor quality. Not one person in my party liked the food. One did not eat at all and we were charged anyway. I will never go again and cannot recommend this place.

Came for Sunday brunch with ladies for Bday celebration. Did the brunch and unlimited mimosas for $45. Drinks served not on ice in plastic (scratched to hell) glasses. Food was served in pieces and hella cold. Sent back 3times an still couldn't get it right. Ordered med steak which came well done in what looks like barley 2oz serving. Fries cold, eggs not correct, grits laden whit grease, tots burned. All brought out well after main dish. Pissed off and hungry. Waited damn near 2hrs for messed up
Was really excited to go to Shakai for the first time as a sushi lover but was so disappointed at the service. After paying $100 for the meal I was so frustrated about the entire experience. It wasn’t super busy but once we ordered we waited 20 min for appetizers - they were cold. The server said she was also bringing back sauces but didn’t, so we ate cold calamari with no sauce. Then every dish she brought to the table she sat in front of the wrong person. It was like she was just sitting things on our table with no regard. Then our food took over 30 min - it was 2 sushi rolls! There was no apology. The server got the soups wrong after our long wait and my daughter’s bowl of rice took forever….it was just rice. My friend ordered two shrimp appetizers and one was $5 more and the server said nothing about the up charge. It was simply one of the worst “service” experiences I’ve ever had and I eat out a lot. I felt like they literally had no focus on the dining experience. The food was 4 out of 10 but prob would have been better if the service had been better. Definitely not recommending this place to friends.
