Genuine, delicious well prepared Indian food. I am really happy to find this place. We ordered a vegetarian Palak Paneer which is literally the best I've ever tasted, and the Lamb curry was amazingly tender and flavorful. We shared a garlic naan which was succulent, as was the gulab jamun dessert. Service was wonderful and from the heart. I definitely want to go back!
If you're looking for genuinely delicious Indian food in the I-Drive / Universal area - this is the place to go! I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted - I basically told him I was stuck choosing between chicken tikka masala and a biryani (my favorite traditional meal) - and after a polite conversation with the owner, he knew exactly what to do! After prompt delivery of a tasty Taj Mahal beer and some fresh garlic naan, out walks this BEAUTY of a sunset-colored biryani - and you could smell that tikka masala influence before it even got to the table! Aside from how amazing it looked and smelled, I could not have asked for a better blend of my two favorite Indian dishes. The spice level was perfect, the chicken was tender, and the aroma was just shy of intoxicating - and on a side note the consistency of their raita is perfect, not too runny!! Apart from the amazing cuisine I was about to indulge myself in, the service was awesome. From the owner down to the kitchen staff, everybody was so kind and so accommodating! On the way out, the owner caught me and told me to wait - he rushed back inside and grabbed a bottle of water for me, saying it was necessary for me to have water to accompany my leftovers. In a world of tired and burnt out restaurant staff, you don't see an act of service like that too often anymore and I'm very grateful for that consideration! Bottom line, if you're in Orlando and you're on the prowl for some good food - PLEASE make the trip, you won't regret it!
Honestly, I had never had Indian cuisine in my entire life, and this was actually amazing. My girlfriend and I decided to go on a whim to try something new that we've never done before, and this was perfect. It was pretty empty dinner time on a Sunday night, but the waiter, who I believe is the owner, was amazing. He stood with us, talked about the meals, and even informed us of the proper way to eat our meals. They were wonderfully seasoned and filled us right up. I truly am not a fan of spicy food, but this spicy food is worth it! The only true complaint I have is the temperature of the restaurant. Definitely seems like they don't have a central A/C system, and when you're eating spicy food, it'd be nice to be in a cooler environment. Other than that, 10/10, will definitely come again!!
Ok total foodie here! Yep that’s me I don’t leave reviews unless the quality and the service is worth my time. From the time I approached the building until the moment I left. I have not one bad thing to say. There was a very friendly gentlemen that came outside to greet me as I looked over the menu outside. This definitely encouraged me to enter. When I entered it was very clean (A+) The waiter seated me and assured me that he would assist in anyway if I needed. And he did My food selections did not disappoint my pallet was pleased! I ordered the Aalo Saag and Lamb Balki w/garlic naan and HOLY HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY the lamb was cooked with perfection super tender and well simmered and saturated in all of the spices DIVINE! I recommend 100% I will definitely be back to visit Oh and yes I ordered my husband the bitter chicken and he had not one complaint
Definitely worth a place to visit! The food is amazing. We actually had a very tiring day and ended up coming just for tea. The owner was so kind to make us a big cup of tea. It was so kind! We ended up ordering food as well and it was beyond delicious. The server was so courteous.
Absolutely terrific! We ordered delivery from Uber eats and we ended up driving to go get another round of food! Yes that good people! I’m sorry, didn’t think about taking a photo. My only regret is I did a medium vindaloo instead of spicy.. Pretty sure it’s the owner working. He is super friendly and a pleasure to meet! Very welcoming atmosphere! ps if you’ve never had Indian food, like my husband once upon a time, start with tandoori chicken! But also start at this restaurant!
Was needing food at 10:00pm. Passed this place, checked Google, reviews were good. Stopped in. Very impressed! The food I ordered was perfect in its spice level and very flavorful. The owner personally came by to make sure I was pleased. I’m very particular about Indian food l, and this place didn’t disappoint! Don’t hesitate. Go here!
This place is a hidden gem. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing. If you are near by you should stop in with an empty belly. If you are unsure what to order, the staff is very knowledgeable and will help guide you to some amazing eats.
This is Samir Mansy, resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. My wife and I go to Taj Mahal restaurant every time we visit Orlando, annually. We have the best Indian food ever. Excellent chicken tikka masala. My wife had a saag alloo. Our experience has been always the best food one may have thanks to the owner, Perez Sheikh , and all the workers in the restaurant. Thank you again

Very quiet on a Saturday night at dinner time. Service was very good, with our waiter explaining the different dishes and spice levels. We started with a cracker like bread made from lentils with 2 dipping sauces, a spicy (green) and a sweet (red). We shared the lamb curry with basmati rice and a garlic naan. Curry sauce was flavorful but lamb was overcooked. The dish had a few small pieces of carrots and peppers. Garlic naan was enjoyable but basic. Most Orlando restaurants have the AC on "meat locker"! This was actually too warm for me. Felt like no AC.
First time here. Small diner setting. They were not crowded on a Saturday night which was awesome. Wait staff was very friendly and suggested a few items for me to try. I love Indian food. Portion sizes were smaller than I expected for the price. O-town is all about that bottom line. The rice was excellently prepared. Garlic naan bread came out delicious.
This was the best Indian food I have ever had in last 10 years. This was recommended by a friend while we were visiting Orlando. You can't go wrong w this place. Don't know what to order? Ask for recommendations to the staff. Although a bit pricey, it's totally worth the food. <3 I'd really fly to Orlando just for this lol

We dined in at this restaurant on our Orlando visit - Day 1 when my wife craved for some Indian food. There were only two staffs and a few tables when we got there. The guy wearing a shirt with his glasses on who was probably the manager said that there will be a 20 minutes wait-time, but we were seated pretty quickly. The ambience was good, but the table that we were seated on was a little sticky. The manager was bragging about how good their food was, but I would say it was mediocre at best. We ordered some samosas, chicken saag, butter chicken, naan, and peshwari naan. Food was okay. I did not like the butter chicken. Not sure how that gravy was made. Also, I have had some delicious peshwari naan in other Indian restaurants. The peshwari naan they serve here was something else - I didn't like it. Chicken saag, samosas, and naan were good though. Props to the guy who was clearing up tables. We were amazed to see how he was clearing tons of stuffs at once.
• likes: 1- I ordered chicken tikka masalla, it was delicious and fresh. (just the chicken need to be more fresh). 2- The owner and the staff was wonderful and kind. 3- Good prices. • Things need to be improved: 1- The back of the bread has parts of an old bread. 2- The spoons are not clean enough. 3- The restroom need more improvement. Thanks
This restaurant is a decent place for indian food. We only tried Chicken Tikka Masala , which tasted good and was really creamy. We also ordered plain naan and garlic naan, one of which came cold. Upon complaining, the staff quickly replaced it. Both types of naan tasted good.

Okay food with good customer service. They serve halal meat. Edit: for the person who is saying I was never there please look at the pics. Hopefully you recognize your own food. In addition, please take reviews as an opportunity to get better NOT to get offended. As a reviewer I’m doing a favor to you to help improve/grow your business. Hope this helps!

We came here of 7 people. They told us to wait outside for 30 mins. Then after 30 mins they say no food. Worst ever. Such a bad experience.
We had the worst Indian food in the US. The chicken pakoras are fried with a besan/chicken peas floor coating. The Chicken biryani has absolutely no taste. The chicken curry is made up of tomato puree only. If you have never cooked Indian food, you may prepare better food than this by watching YouTube. Additionally, the prices are too high for this quality food.
The most bad food experience ever in my life. The food is so spicy and tasteless. Food was very expensive compared to other restaurant in Orlando. and was very less in quantity . 100% cut ur pocket.
Nothing from the area I came across this place and decided I wanted food for dinner. I parked at the place and went on my phone to check out the menu online. I am assuming the owner an older Indian guy came out to my car and asked me what I was doing, I told him I’m looking over the menu and he went back inside about two minutes later he comes back out and tells me that I’m blocking the parking spaces for his customers. There are two cars in this entire parking lot area near his restaurant, one of which I’m assuming might be his and maybe the other one is his cooks. He just stood there and stared at me and made me feel very uncomfortable, so I decided to look at the reviews of his restaurant. After reading some of the reviews I decided this place probably isn’t that good. Judging by the attendance he is probably not doing well with his business. What a jerk. Don’t take your frustrations out on someone who might have been a customer. I’ll never eat here!! Picture attached of how “ busy” they must have been lol. What a joke!!!!
We were one of the 3 customers that night, and it took them 30 minutes to bring our order out. I am a South Indian and I clearly instructed them to make it “spicy” and the curry (shrimp korma) was sweet and not at all hot. We then ordered masala chai, and it was nothing but “MILK” and there was no “masala” in the chai. We didn’t want to leave any tip, but their card machine, conveniently, didn’t have a custom tip or a no tip option - was either 10% or 20% or more. Such a slow service and bad food.
