From its prime location near the beach to the inviting entrance through the hotel, this restaurant is an absolute gem. The ambiance was impeccable, and the chic décor created the perfect upscale vibe. The customer service was truly A1 — attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. I ordered the crab cakes and the lobster cavatelli, and both were absolutely delicious. Every bite was memorable. This place is a must-try, and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

I’ll admit I was a little concerned at first when I saw the menu was somewhat abbreviated — I wasn’t sure if I’d find something I really liked. I decided to go with the garlic Caesar salad with added chicken, and oh my god, it did not disappoint. The chicken was clearly prepared just for my salad — not something leftover from earlier in the day. It was fresh, tender, flavorful, and definitely not dry. The salad itself was slightly overdressed, but that actually worked for me since I love bold garlic and parmesan flavors. Altogether, the dish was delicious and well-balanced. The service was laid-back, which matched the beachside vibe, but I did notice one drawback: no one offered a refill on drinks. That small detail is the only reason I’m docking one star, because a drink top-up would have made the experience perfect. The atmosphere, though, was beautiful — right by the beach in Oxnard. I never even knew this place existed, but now that I do, I’d say it’s definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area.

We had a wonderful dining experience here while celebrating a special occasion. From the moment we arrived, the level of service stood out. The valet Brennan greeted us warmly, introduced himself, and let us know he’d be available all evening if we needed anything – a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the night. Our server Aga was fantastic – full of energy, incredibly helpful with menu recommendations, and attentive throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with exceptional flavors and beautiful presentation. My taste buds fell in love with the smoked strawberries that come with the half chicken. The hotel campus itself is stunning – modern, sleek, and beautifully maintained, adding to the overall experience. This was a celebration to remember, and we’re so grateful for how special the team made it.

Aga was a character and a fantastic server tonight. She made our anniversary truly special. Her customer service was exceptional—she made us feel so comfortable, almost like family. Despite a minor inconvenience, her professionalism and warmth stood out. We would definitely come back just because her service was that great! Ps: the burger and fries were phenomenal!

4.5/5 stars Made a reservation for dinner on Sunday, but it wasn’t busy, so I don’t think a reservation was needed. This restaurant is located inside a hotel. Parking in the garage was free with validation. The menu has a mix of small and large plates that can be shared. My bf and I got the yellowtail aguachile ($21), short rib bao buns ($24), swordfish ($39), and lobster pappardelle ($48). I was pleasantly surprised with all the dishes, but I wish the dishes came out one at a time instead of all at the same time, because some of the dishes were cold/lukewarm. The yellowtail aguachile was fresh and tender. The short rib in the bao buns were quite tender, although could have been warmer temperature-wise. The swordfish shocked me because some pieces were super tender. Swordfish is usually dry to me, so I was impressed by the tender parts. The swordfish was cold when it came out, but the waiter was able to warm it up for me. The sauce was yummy and light, and I liked the turnip and eggplant. I was impressed by the large lobster pieces in the pappardelle. The lobster was pretty tender. The sauce for the pasta was not very strong. Overall, I would recommend all 4 dishes we got! On the pricey side, but good for a special occasion.

Our server Aga was absolutely wonderful! She really made the experience dining here x10 better as the food were also really tasty. Everything we had was really beautifully presented and tasted great. Scallop dish with the carrots however was too salty, but everything else was perfect. Highly recommend the Crab croquette and the fries with the O&O Burgers were soo good. Again recommended the Strawberry Hand Pie dessert and she was on point, it really was delicious and I don't normally eat a lot of desserts. Highly recommend if your near the area or staying at the hotel.

We enjoyed our nice Easter dinner here. We had Sunday Roast, Brussel sprouts. Everything was great but the best was our wait person, Aga. She was very friendly and welcoming us - made our dinner extra special.

Aga and Michelle were the best and most fabulous servers ever, always with the best smile and caring for us, besides the food was good. I was a little bit disappointed because they don't have the Paella on Thursday that we were looking forward to, besides that, the service was excellent. Hoping they can be able to update the Menu.

The service was phenomenal our server AGA was super sweet and patient. She provided high standard service with a sweet smile and created a welcoming atmosphere for our birthday celebration. The food as well was to die for. We did family style with my girls and were able to taste a bit of everything and we enjoyed every single dish. I highly recommend coming here!

Visited the resort for a lovely Valentine's weekend and had dinner at Ox & Ocean. It's comfortably located on the property, with views of the courtyard and pool area. Fare is surf and turf with unique flavor profiles and a wide assortment of sides and appetizers. Cocktails are cheeky, fun, and delicious without too much pretense. The best draw of the evening and the whole reason the visit was so wonderful was our server Aga. Her bubbly personality, wit, and attention didn't falter once. She made enthusiastic recommendations, explained the menu in an enticing way, and kept her energy for our service up constantly. She was friendly every time we spoke, while also giving us plenty of time alone to enjoy our meals and conversation. If you have the chance to visit I would recommend trying to get a seat in her section, because it will elevate your entire experience.

Eating at Ox and ocean was a very enjoyable experience, our waitress, Aga (she said, like Lady Gaga without without the G) was wonderful, and went over and beyond to make our experience amazing! Excellent service! The food was really good! And to top off the night they gave us free desserts, to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary!!

Excellent option for date nights with indoor and outdoor seating. Dinner is amazing, especially the Jidori Chicken with polenta (and I'm not typically a fan of polenta). Would love to see a dark chocolate option on the dessert menu. Would definitely eat here again and try out more dishes

This place was pretty good! Especially for a motel spot. It was pretty busy on a Saturday. We sat outside by the pool. There were heaters to keep us warm. There's a bar outside and plenty of seating indoors and out. Fairly easy to park and the parking is validated. The service was nice. Our waitress, Aga, greeted us with a smile and was very accommodating. The food: We ordered the yellowtail aguachile and maple bourbon brussels to start. The aguachile had a nice spice to it but needed more avocado to balance it out. The brussel sprouts were a bit dry but had a nice crisp to them. There was barely any maple bourbon added and we did not see the toasted pecans. The bacon and dried cranberries were a nice addition and were definitely needed to add some flavor. I'm not sure if the topping was parmesan cheese?! That should have been noted because I'm lactose intolerant and the cheese was not mentioned on the menu. We also ordered the grilled pork chop. This was good but needed more salt, especially in the squash purée. It was served with sprouts instead of chives - Another random discrepancy in the menu vs what they actually serve. Overall, it was worth checking out if you're staying there but not sure we'll go again.

Great restaurant but if you are curious about the almonds, here they are! Just almonds and not super special or worth the price. Tri tip sandwich is excellent and everyone else loved their food. The ambiance is great. Comfy and spacious seating

This is an on-site restaurant at the Zacharie Dunes on Mandalay Beach resort. The service and atmosphere was excellent. We ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunch was the best tasting. They have a bar and an outdoor area with gas fire places to sit when it is cold. It is overall a great restaurant. Definitely give them a try.

Great meal overall. The salmon, crab cake, and hamachi were all standouts, and even the hamburger was surprisingly good. Looks really nice. Staff is actually really chill. However.... Let's get into it. Wasn't busy at all. Bad sign. Got my food order wrong. Another bad sign. Got my drink order wrong, ANOTHER bad sign. Asked for them to make a different drink. That one went ok. Staff was messing with climate control behind me not even knowing how to use it. Causing bar area to be uncomfortable. Then the manager came over and started causing a scene about f'ing things up in front of customers. SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Talk to your staff behind the curtains. Absolute embarrassing and insanely unprofessional. Overall this was a really bad experience. I'll write a different review for the actual hotel. But the bar area and food was probably some of the worst I've ever had in my entire life. Got fish tacos. Bit into the smallest tacos ever. Spit it out on second bite. Couldn't even finish one. Hopefully I don't get sick. Needless to say. I would not recommend this place for happy hour or bar food. Ever. Hopefully it improves. Because the location is excellent. All a miss managed issue usually and that's how it goes. I get that it's a chain under Hilton ownership. Let's hope they get their act together In the future. Staff: chill. But really need to speak amongst themselves and NOT in front of customers. They do it the whole time making everyone uncomfortable. Cleanliness: very clean. Food: horrible. Decor: nice with a beach vibe. Bathrooms: N/A didn't use them.

Absolute Disaster – Do NOT Eat Here This place is a walking health hazard wrapped in the most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced. We ordered the chicken wings – it arrived looking pale and rubbery. One bite and it was crystal clear: completely undercooked/raw in the middle. Pink, cold, straight-up dangerous. Sent it back immediately. No apology. No “sorry about that.” Just a blank stare from the server like we’d inconvenienced them by not wanting salmonella. Then the basics started falling apart: • No napkins or forks brought to the table (had to flag someone down twice). • They dropped the final bill on the table… with no pen. Just the check sitting there like we were supposed to magically pay with our minds. • Asked for salt. Server comes back with an empty salt shaker. Dessert? It was basically a hockey puck – burned black on the outside. Inedible. Only after I finally asked to speak to the manager (because at this point we were just stunned) did anything happen. The manager was actually cool about it and refunded the entire bill right away—no pushback, no attitude. The staff (aside from the manager) acted like we were the problem for expecting edible food, basic table settings, and human courtesy. Zero accountability from most of the team. If you’re in the mood to gamble with food safety and sloppy service, sure, come here. Otherwise, literally anywhere else is a better choice. Avoid at all costs. 1 star only because 0 isn’t an option.

Christmas Day brunch was not good. To pay $130 plus a mandatory 20% tip for the mediocre food they served is ridiculous. The best think was the prime rib. Everything else was OK any most of it was bad. The temperature of the food was barely warm verging on unsafe. The waiter was wonderful and the room was nice. Very few people were there and now I know why. One of the worse dining experiences I've had especially at that price.
