Honestly, this may be the best Thai food I've ever eaten. Pad see ew is my favorite Thai dish. Daisy Mint has the best pad see ew hands down in Pasadena and I dare say LA. I like it just with just a bit of kick so make sure to ask for chili powder. If you think there's better drop me a message and I'll contest it and thank you if true.
¡LOVE LOVE LOVE! Must try: Summer Rolls - ask for extra sauce. Garlic string beans w/tofu or chicken - I prefer tofu. Chicken sate is a large portion, feeds two. Spring rolls are always fresh and super hot - be careful! Steak salad & Honey pork are my favorites. Btw, buy their curry as a side, put in the fridge and reheat with brown rice for a later day. Yummmmm! I miss dinning at their restaurant and drinking their especial brews. I LOVE DAISY MINT :)
I love this place better than the other favorite Salandang. It is smaller but has a better ambiance and their food is amazing. My favorites are the green curry, pad see ew, garlic string beans and of course the pad Thai! Andes mints for the dessert are a plus. It can get real busy weekend nights so either make reservations, get there early or just be prepared to wait.
Daisy Mint is one of my favorite places for Thai food in Pasadena. It is a small, no frills, no thrills restaurant, but the food is authentic and DELICIOUS and the service is fast. Daisy Mint is also very clean and affordable. Their fast service is very convenient for lunch.
Great food friendly staff, we talked about Thailand and many wonderful places. Totally recommend this little cozy joint. Everything was absolutely on point.
This is my favorite thai restaurant in Pasadena! Everything is so flavorful. Try the standards like the sauteed green beans, pad see ew, basil/chili stir fry, pad thai etc -- but also try their crab puffs and pineapple fried rice (a personal favorite, and this is coming from someone who rarely eats fried rice!) It's also a super cute place with antique furniture and a lovely ambiance.
Very cute and relaxed atmosphere, the staff were informative on the menu and polite, the food was very fresh. I had the salad rolls and pad see ew, the noodles were a bit salty and the broccoli a little bitter but it's out of season so overall it was excellent.
Thank you so much Daisy Mint🙏🙏we had such an amazing meal at home... This is our favorite Thai food restaurant in Pasadena... You can taste the love and craftsmanship from the food... The breath of the walk is wonderous here 😋😋!!!
This is my favorite Thai spot in Pasadena. Everything is flavorful. The prices are more than your average Thai restaurant but the service and the quality of the food is superb! I only wish the portions were bigger!
Great food, chill spot! I've been coming here for some years now and I've always had a good experience and yummy food at Daisy Mint! Cool little patio to sit out on in the back. This place can get very busy but if you have the time, it's worth the wait! It's kinda small but comfy. Probably not good for large groups as seating is very mom and pop restaurant style. Give it it a try and I promise you'll enjoy the food! (Maybe I shouldn't be giving away my secret Thai food spot...LoL)
Grew up in Pasadena eating their Thai food, and I can say nothing compares… they are not only the best Thai food in all of Los Angeles (in my opinion) but also the nicest people who work there! You need to try Daisy Mint, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all the Daisy Mint staff for making every dining experience amazing and feel like I am at home! You all are the best, and so if your food!
Awesome Thai food, I eat here often! Love the pad see you. The eggplant is simply the best I've ever had, and the drunken noodles are delicious! Nice staff.
Delicious food, fast and friendly service. We odered 3 different appetizers Curry puffs, peanut dumplings, and summer rolls. All three were amazing, my favourite was the peanut dumpling. We also ordered the eggplant salad and chicken fired rice, both were very tasty. The portions for their dinner plates are big enough to share. Also, if you like tea make sure to order a hot pot of tea. We got the raspberry lychee and it was so good.
Generous family size portions, the dishes we had (Salmon + Mushroom Scallops) were prepared to culinary perfection! To die for! 🤗 Truly highly recommended, all dishes priced reasonably. Sorry, I was too busy eating and failed to take photos 😬
I had dinner with my dad here about two weeks ago and it was delicious! We shared the chicken satay as an app, then shared the duck noodle soup and the Pad See Ew with Shrimp. The portions are very generous, so be ready for leftovers. Everything had great flavor and the prices weren't bad.
We recently took my dad here for his 84th birthday. I contacted staff early in the day and they were happy to reserve a table for 8 for dinner. We enjoyed Pad See Ew, Daisy Noodles, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai, and Veggies with Tofu. Servings were very generous and each dish was delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Nice lunch time place. Had curry pork with bamboo shoots, pretty spicy but if you don't like very spicy you might ask to tone it down. Came with side salad which was basic but nice.
Hands Down one of my all time favorite Thai restaurants! Whenever someone is visiting Pasadena and wants to eat thai food I always recommend this place. The Pad see ew is one of the best I've had. The seasoning is not too heavy or salty and the beef is tender. The yellow curry is delicious. They use chicken thigh so the chicken is juicy and soaks up the flavorful curry. Another highlight is the spicy eggplant. It's cooked to perfection! Whenever I feel like treating myself to Thai food this is the place to go. Also parking is pretty easy to find on the street.
Really tasty Thai food! Very flavorful noodles in the Pad Thai, and the Crying Tiger beef was perfectly cooked. Wait staff was attentive and non-intrusive. Saturday night at 6:30ish, not a long wait for a table w/o a reservation. Street parking was simple to find
This is the best local Thai spot in Pasadena. We love the garlic string beans and the chicken panang Curry is second to none. They add pumpkin in the panang that just takes it to whole another level. Service is great and it does get busy here. Is a small quaint spot and the location is not the most ideal place but people come from all over to taste the goodness.
Great meals. Very fresh. Had the green curry, spicy and great with eggplant. Paid Thai was one of the sweetest we've ever had, slightly bbq - fantastic. Roti bread appetizer is great! Good came fast
Have eaten here multiple times and the service and food were great. The place is slightly on the smaller side, but the staff and ambiance are very welcoming. The crying tiger dish is a must try!
My first time trying this place I ordered on the phone and picked up the order for my family. We ordered the Panang curry, pad see ew, and spicy eggplant. The portions were a good size and what we ordered was enough to feed 4-5 people with some leftover. When we came to pick it up, the staff was so kind to each other, laughing and joking when one of them accidentally dropped a box of rice instead of getting mad or frustrated over rice. They seemed very hardworking but enjoyed being there and their smiles never left their faces. They were very generous to us as well, giving us two free drinks (thai tea and coffee) as we waited! As soon as our food was ready, the lady informed me of the mango sticky rice that had just come back on the menu. It is one of my favorite desserts so I had to get it and they prepared it right away so I didn’t have to wait any longer. The food was satisfying and comforting. The mango sticky rice was lovely and well balanced. As delicious as the food was, I couldn’t help but appreciate the seemingly positive environment they had fostered at the restaurant and it left me feeling warm and positive the rest of the evening. I hope they always extend that positivity to all their customers.
Small yet very awesome place. Seats about 30 people on 2 top tables. The staff is just real, they want to be there, they care about the food and your expérience Très bonne We've had 3 different items, and al have met our expectations for quality, consistency and flavor. Plus the prices are not outrageous.
This restaurant is a must for any Pasadena resident! The food is amazing and the prices are really good. They have done an excellent job during the pandemic as well! Food is always ready on time and they are extremely covid-safe.
Daisy Mint is always a treat. We love the spicy eggplant and the tofu fried rice is the best I’ve ever had! Both takeout and dine in have large portions that are great for sharing and I recommend adding the peanut dumplings as an appetizer.
Exquisitely delicious food. We had the shrimp pad thai, steak salad with an incredible tangy dressing and a mind blowing chicken curry. We drank a refreshing and delicious thai ice tea and a chamomile tea with their exclusive blend, such a nice treat. We sat in the cozy back patio area and really enjoyed the ambiance. We were in heaven and can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious dishes.
I’ve been going to Daisy Mint since I think 2007 and it’s still my go to Thai place. It’s super cute inside but the food is really delicious (also helps my Thai friend approves of it too). My go tos are the pad see ew, basil eggplant, and crying tiger. Curries are also good too! I’m writing this review finally bc they forgot the rice when I last had a pick up order. I live close by so I was able to pick it up for my leftovers. The server was so kind and apologetic, he offered me a Thai tea. They didn’t need to but he also gave me a fresh squeezed lemonade (I told him I can’t have caffeine). They were so kind and thoughtful! Definitely recommend!
Thank You Daisy Mint for keeping us safe & fed, especially during the last 2 years. The yellow curry is THE best! Love the papaya salad, garlic green beans & noodle dishes. We have a competitor who’s just opened in Altadena. We will continue to favor your delicious food & friendly service.
Booked a reservation for party of 4. Good food, nice staff, & nice patio in the back too!
This is one of my absolute favorite thai places. It’s always fresh, fast and delicious. The honey pork is soooo yummy and the pad se ew is a must. The pumpkin curry is phenomenal. I can’t think of a bad meal i’ve ever had there. They even have the small square ice that keeps drinks super cold. it’s also just really cute inside. I love the decor, it’s homey and cozy.
Very good authentic Thai food and service. Cute decor. Had the green curry, Tiger beef, and Thai tea. All delicious and great local spot if you are in the South Pasadena area.
My husband and I love eating at Daisy Mint! Our friends introduced us to this restaurant and we've been thankful they did. First off, I have food intolerances and they have accommodated it well and have never messed up my order whether it was dine in or take out! They are consistent, delicious, food comes out hot and well prepared and presented. I've introduced my mom to this restaurant too and she loves it! Thanks Daisy Mint! We will continue to patronize your restaurant.
Amazing display of Asian cuisine. Always fresh and quality tasting products. Never seems to disappoint. Every time I introduce someone to this spot they are blown away. Make sure you look at the menu and read it well to make the best selection for yourself. With so much variety I end up always ordering two or three items at a time. Lunch time specials are worth the value. During peak hours order in advance for take out via phone or apps. Staff is always super nice, quick and smiling. One of my favorites when I'm in the area.
This place gets crazy busy and on an off weekday you may even see a celebrity. The staff maintain politeness even when swamped and the food always tastes fresh. I freaking love the papaya salad! Don't expect the flavor of Chinese fried rice when ordering any fried rice dish.
Really excellent food. I ordered the Pad see ew with chicken and the Tom Yum chicken soup. Both were excellent. The Tom Yum soup was very flavorful. I ordered my food for pickup and everything was on time. I put Daisy Mint right up there with Nine & Nine Thai and President Thai as some of the best Thai food I have had.
My nephew and I ate here a couple of weeks ago and we both found the food and service amazing! I've been to Thailand a couple of times and have eaten some really good Thai food. I would place Daisy Mint right up there. Not sure which we liked best, the Honey Pork or the Crying Tiger and they offer sticky rice. Only the best Thai restaurants do. This place is not decorated as you would predict a Thai restaurant to be and I love how eclectic and comfortable it is. It's small but the seating is arranged well so as to offer many options. You will get wonderful service, no matter how busy it gets. I must warn you about the Red Velvet cake they serve. The most amazing cake I've ever put in my mouth and they have the best ever Carrot Cake. Not your typical Thai desserts but in keeping with the comfortable charm of this restaurant We're going back next week. Yummmmm. What will we try next?
The Steak Salad & egg rolls are so yummy!!!! It has the right amount of steak & the dressing is fresh and mouth watering 😋
Had a wonderful early dinner with a friend here. Tried the coconut shrimp ramen and got the Drunken noodles with beef to go for my husband. Both were delicious!! I also tried the Thai Green milky tea and really enjoyed it!
Great food, always hits the spot. I've had everything on the menu over the years and it's all really good. This is our usual order when we're feeling like Thai food in the Pasadena area. You can't go wrong with their curries, noodles, veggie dishes, it's all awesome.
The Daisy Mint noodles were delicious. Cute place with very kind staff.
Our experience was awesome. We were greeted and welcomed. They accommodated our party of six pretty quickly. All do our food came out quickly and they were very nice to us. They asked us if we were going to eat family style or individually which I really appreciated. We got the Thai tea and green milky green tea. Both were delicious and tasted good. We ordered the daisy noodles, pad Thai, drunken noodles, wonton soup, Thai mushroom w/ chicken, yellow curry, and crispy shrimp. Everything was good and had good flavor. I especially liked the daisy noodles. The red curry with everything mixed together was so good we finished it so fast. We will visit again to try other dishes.
Fantastic food! Highly recommend the Thai tea with sea salt foam
Really good food. Cute place. Extremely affordable lunch specials.
Fav Thai spot. The coconut chicken soup is my all time fav
Had a lovely birthday dinner here on a Sunday night with my cousin. Service was polite, friendly, and attentive. There’s free street parking and a parking lot at the back of the restaurant. The portions were good and flavorful. The vibe was chill. We had a great time and everything tasted delicious!
The charming place is small but cozy, comfortable and warm with an inviting staff. The Thai food is top notch with plenty of flair and good portions. We had miscommunication on our final number for lunch but staff was on top of it. I will be back.
A small cozy café with excellent Thai food. Not much seating, the salmon wraps is my personal favorite. Lunch specials are good value. Dinner options are very good. Parking can be challenging. Street Parking are all one hour limit, so eat fast if park on street.
had my birthday dinner here, and it was a lovely experience! the staff was so accomodating and kind, and we really loved the patio seating with heaters that kept us warm even in the cold rainy weather. the atmosphere is quaint and the food is delicious. amazing portions for the price! we thoroughly enjoyed pad thai, pad see ew, tom yum soup, kimchi fried rice, and crying tiger (an amazingly tender, smoky steak served with sticky rice) along with a handful of appetizers like salmon wraps and fried tofu. everything was really yummy, and we had plenty of leftovers. 6 of us feasted for about $200, with tip included in that amount. I tipped extra at the end because the staff was so kind and patient with us, even though we were the last to leave after their closing time.
Fantastic Thai restaurant that offers authentic flavors and incredible value. The food is very delicious and I was quite surprised by how large the portions were given the price. They are not stingy with the meat nor the vegetables and the flavor is perfect. I have gotten delivery from here before but dining in is way better. The interior is a bit small so seating is limited, but well worth it and the staff are very friendly.
Cute charming local neighborhood thai restaurant. It appears pretty small. However there is back seating area which can serve a group of 10-12 people. Food portion is generous. Seasoned well. Love the thai spice condiments. Well be back!
Annual update and still incredible!!! 10/10 An absolute favourite of mine when I am home. They can do no wrong with anything on the menu. But my favourite is the yellow chicken curry as it is heaven on earth. They also owned “Apricot” a Thai/French fusion place also Pasadena that closed years ago, this same dish was served there and blew my socks off then as it does now. I love Daisy Mint it’s my all time favourite Pasadena restaurant and where I go as often as I can when I’m in town. Recommendations: Pad Thai is 10:10, Salads are 10/10 and the Thai tea is 😍😍😍😍😍
The food was great especially the honey pork, drunken noodles with beef, papaya salad & the prices reasonable .Our server was so friendly & attentive & that made our dining experience a favorable one.
Delicious fresh food, generous portions, so flavorful.
Cute little Thai spot in Pasadena we love. The food is great but the decor on the inside is very cozy and trendy. We love the atmosphere. On our most recent visit, we had Pad Thai and the grilled eggplant. I loved the Pad Thai, but the eggplant was covered in garlic, a bit too much for my girlfriends liking. We’ll be back :)
Daisy Mint is always a hit! Lots of very good thai options on the menu. Very flavorful and balanced curries, wonderful noodle dishes, and awesome meats (the honey pork is the best). Staff is always friendly, prices are reasonable (especially for lunch specials), and the environment is cozy but not cramped Parking is difficult sometimes.
I had the best wonton soup and garlic beans and chicken. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet, charming dining experience. Priced were also very good.
Was looking for a place that reminded me of my favorite Thai food back at home, and this place brought me back in time! The food was delicious and you could never go wrong with Thai Tea on the side :) ! Menu is reasonably priced. The staff were so kind, accommodating, and lovely 💕 Even remembered me and my order when I came back the next day. I think this would be my favorite place to go to during lunch breaks. :))

Nice pad see eew. Needs a little brazing, but excellent flavor and texture. Excellent salmon and curry plates.
My wife and I love eating here, dine-in, take-out, whenever we can have it. Our favorites are the coconut chicken soup, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, and BBQ chicken. It's hard to go wrong though with any of the other dishes.

A nice well decorated hole in a wall place. We ordered friend tofu and duck roll for appetizers. The chicken satay is very tender and tasty. It comes with a salad. The crying tiger is basically a grilled beef but the sauce is awesome. It is a combination of fish sauce, lime and spicy. It came with a sticky rice. The Panang is one of my non-favorite. It is basically full of butternut squash and the squash is not even totally peeled. The beef is tasteless maybe because it was just a regular beef dumped on a boiling sauce. Comparing this place to the one I went to last week, Chim, not far away from Daisy Mint, I think I like Chim better price wise and taste of food. Parking is limited at the back of the restaurant. There are street parking too.
My bf and I frequent this place often. The portion sizes are generous, the taste is great, and the price is totally reasonable for what you receive. The overall ambience isn't bad at all either. Parking can be a bit tricky, but that's just the nature of the beast of what is Hollywood. My only "complaint" with this place is sometimes they're a little slow to give us our check but it's totally forgivable considering everything else.
Daisy Mint ! Well prepared and portions that are large enough to share family style. If you like Thai food that is fresh and delicious you should give Daisy Mint some love. The folks who work here are friendly and willing to make your meal a easy and tasteful experience.
A cozy restaurant just short of candlelit with decent Thai food. The Pad Thai was on the sweet side, but I thought the shrimp was done well. The food portions do seem a bit on the small side however, considering the price.
We got the tofu pad see we and the duck noodle soup. The tofu was perfectly cooked and the duck was extremely tender. Portion size is good and I ended up having leftovers. I wish that they had a little more sauce on the noodles of the bad see ew, but overall good experience. The duck noodle soup reminded me of Chinese noodle soup. Friendly staff
A small Thai restaurant in Pasadena is a rare find. Especially a good one. We had the crying tiger steak among other dishes. The name sounds depressing, but the meat was delicious. They also serve mexican coca cola which puts them even higher on my list. The interior of the restaurant is decorated nicely, they have a glass display used as a table, with old silverware inside. The walls are made of brick, decorated with some nice art pieces and other trinkets. They found a way to stand out from other Thai places through their decoration, food, and service.
Daisy Mint has some good dishes. I wouldn't just come here and blindly order though. Do a little reading beforehand. FOOD: Duck Roll - pretty good; try it Beef Salad - good too. try Curry - I like the curry but i'd like it more if it were spicier. can you get it spicier? I'm not sure. but for those of you that don't like spice, don't be afraid to get this SERVICE: Not bad; friendly and somewhat efficient PARKING: Street; parking lot behind
One of my favorite restaurants in all of CA. I lived an hour and a half away and they still knew because of how often I'd come here. I've tried different appetizers and entrees and I still can't pick a definite favorite because everything was superb. Smaller place and always filled so I'd recommend a reservation. Best service to go along with the best food.
I've been coming here for years and have always admired their good Thai-fusion eats, excellent service, and quaint decor. It's a great spot for dates or low-key dining. Per my last visit, they no longer offer the BYOB or the outdoor patio, which is greatly disappointing. However, I still plan to pay occasionally visits. Their naan and curry appetizer dish is a must-try! Expect prices to be just a bit higher because they're not a typically hole-in-a-wall.
So first for the positives. The restaurant itself was really cute. I really liked the inside. The service was really good and the staff was super attentive. That being said, I've had way better Thai food. Like way better. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. There's probably better in the area, but this one can suffice.
Daisy Mint is my go to Thai place for an after work dinner! I always order the red curry with tofu and the portions are larger than normal for entree Thai prices (around $10.50). I always go home with leftovers which is perfect for lunch the next day. Missing the one star due to the service. Seems to take forever to get a check or to be paid attention to once you are halfway through your meal. I appreciate not being bugged, but more attentive service would be nice - especially when you are in a rush to leave. Other than that, worth a stop by! Delicious food and a super cute, cozy atmosphere.
I picked up food from here for the first time yesterday. All the food I got was really good but I was kinda surprised that none of the food was spicy. I understand having mild options for people but, when I'm eating Thai cuisine, I really expect for it to be at least a little spicy! I ordered the Red Curry *very spicy* and it really was quite mild. Coconut Chicken Soup (Tom Ka) also usually has thai chilies in it but this one had none. It all tasted really good and I probably would have given it 5 stars if it was just more spicy!
Very good food. Plenty of parking We had the green curry, the yellow Curry, the pad Thai noodles, and the papaya salad
The pad see ew was a solid dish—smoky, flavorful, and well-executed. The pad Thai was pretty standard—not bad, but nothing special. The papaya salad was disappointing, lacking depth and the bold flavors it should have. On the bright side, the Vietnamese coffee was excellent—strong, rich, and exactly how it should be. Overall, a decent spot, but I’d stick to the stir-fried noodle dishes and the coffee.
One of my Fav spots for Thai Food in Pasadena. It's a smaller restaurant, so I've only gotten to-go orders, but the interior is quaint. The service is fast and friendly and the food is delicious 😋. Thank you!
Tom yum was a bit cold by the time it was brought to our table. Pad thai was quite enjoyable. You should really enjoy coriander;)

We ate at the restaurant and then a few days late ordered the same food for 'pick up' to eat at home. We compared the dishes we ate in the restaurant verses delivery/pick up. The food they serve when you eat in the restaurant is much better. The stir fry veggie dish in the restaurant was flavorful while the one that came in the delivery/pick up was lacking substantially in flavor, plus you get less for the same price with pick up. The curries (we ordered three - red, green, and ponang, were thinner in texture and not as flavorful. The string beans were the same. The chicken squewers were the same. The noodles had less sauce. The padThai was stuck to the container with almost no meat, and little flavor. We will not use them for evenings with friends via delivery/pick up (we meet weekly, so probably every third week we would have ordered from them), but we will come in to eat (probably once a year or so).
If you know what good Panang curry is, it's not here. Flavorless with too much coconut milk. Eggrolls and Thai tea were good. I really enjoyed the decorations and vibes of the restaurant but disappointed with the entree. I'd return for the tea and vibes.
Food was edible, but missing key ingredients, making it bland. Papaya salad didn't have the green beans, basil, fish sauce, dried shrimp, garlic, or chilies typically served in this dish. Green curry flavors were balanced, but also not spicy at all. Pad see ew was satisfactory. Cute and clean atmosphere but not the place to get thai food.
Limited menu. Pretty good. I like to support this place because it's not a chain.
I had the kao soi with no meat and was disappointed. Friends say this is their favorite Thai place in Pasadena so I will go back and try something else. I hope other choices will be wonderful.
The tangy sauce with a hint of fire on the Shrimp salad is just right, so are the larger than normal shrimp. Don't miss the mango rice dessert. Warm sticky rice with a bit of condensed milk on top and at least a half of a ripe sliced mango. Cashew chicken was ordinary, service was adequate. Atmosphere: neighborhood budget.

pad see ew (beef) - gristle meat = poor review pad see ew (chicken) - flavorful and well presented. Summer rolls were excellent but I still prefer traditional egg rolls. This is from a delivery service so service and atmosphere are not reviewed.

Ordered delivery. One of the dishes was my favorite Thai dish - Tom Yum soup. This execution was a total joke. A brown broth with three shrimp and some mushrooms. Literally nothing else: galangal, ginger, lemon grass, Thai basil, tomatoes, onions, fresh lime??? Nope. It was literally the worst thing I have ever ordered from a Thai restaurant. I have had ok (never particularly good) food from this place before, but it’s over now. Avoid.
I ordered the yellow chicken curry. The chicken and potato was not cooked properly. This was my second time coming here. My first time coming there the yellow curry was delicious and so full of flavor. However, when I went to go pick some up today and ate the food, the chicken was still a little raw and the potatoes were still crunchy. The curry was not as flavorful as the curry I had the first time. It was like as if they were still cooking it and they just gave it to me without any regard. I tried calling them to talk to them about it but it seems like they don’t even have a restaurant number. I’m very disappointed.
Wery unfrendly emploee, never got this Experience. Asking For more money to dine in, when i start Eat inside. Employee never asked me, do i want dine in or take out.
They didn't tell us that they changed the recipe of the glass noodles with shrimp. It went from great to inedible because it is now extremely spicy and tangy. Went into trash.
We ordered pad se ew that ended up being bitter and yellow curry and it was just gross with giant chunks of weird looking meat, no flavor and overcooked rice. How are you even a respected place for people to eat when you can’t do the basic dishes taste decent? Everything went into trash. Don’t waste your money like we did. Gross food
