Los Tacos is praised for its authentic tacos, generous portions, and friendly service. Standout dishes include the Menudo, fish tacos, and breakfast menu. Some find it pricey, with a few complaints about greasy al pastor and inconsistent quality.

Tip: Try the fish tacos, praised for being fresh and not deep-fried. The breakfast menu is also a good choice if you're on your way to work.

I had the potato taco and rice. It was the best potato taco I have ever had. The rice was good as well. Not dry or over cooked.
Loved the clean atmosphere, customer service and the food! The help yourself condiment bar is uniquely fantastic: try the spicy guacamole sauce!
Love this place. Wet burritos and tacos are top notch. It's not fancy, but the food is awesome.
Tasty food to either take away or enjoy in there as the place is quite cute. Loved it! The prices are also quite good
Love the tacos!! We always get a variety of soft tacos when we go! Service is usually pretty quick even when they are busy
Good Mexican food near my job I ordered chorizo with egg, with a side of beans with cheese & chilaquiles with cream, warm & delicious food, definitely will be coming back.
The bunelos chips hit the spot after a nice homemade Mexican food.
Friendly staff, food made fresh and quickly, good size portions, and most importantly food was delicious.
SERIOUSLY THE BEST TACOS IN PASADENA! Delicious and very nice employees. Their taco selection is impressive! Try one of each!
The best tacos in Pasadena, bar none, really first class food in an inexpensive setting. Super clean. The tortas and burritos are also excellent.
We go there for the fish tacos and mini ceviche tostadas. The seafood tastes fresh, the fish is nicely grilled and plentiful. The ceviche sparkles without being too acidic. The salsa bar has a nice selection of home made salsas conveniently labeled for spiciness.
Best nachos hands down. I always get the half asada. It is very filling with tubs of real guacamole and fresh sour cream. Don't forget to try their Mexican flan; it is very delicious.
Chill environment, Delicious Food, Good Service.
Best. Potato. Tacos. Ever. So buttery and delicious... a game changer. Their soft tacos are also really tasty, and be sure to try the spicy avocado salsa too!
I love this place other than king taco and la estrella BEST mexican food in Pasadena. Been going here since I was like 12 soo good. Lots of vegetarian options and I believe there was a sign that said they don't use lard.
This place is a comfort food spot. I've been coming here since the late 90's. My 17 yr. old somn loved the carne asada tscos.
There plates are extremely generous. Bring your appetite. Just ate the full size nachos with asada , I'm ready for a nap. Super delicious 🤤
Great service. Delicious food. Excellent salsas.
Place your orders at the counter and pick up your food and carry to your own table. Restaurant was clean. The 5 star rating is for the food! It was excellent. Generous portion guacamole, serviced nice and cold. Carne Asada torta was huge and delicious. El Pastor taco plate was great. Cheese enchiladas plate was fabulous. Loved the refried beans and rice.
Excellent and filling machaca with egg burrito with green chile and half order of nachos with machaca, sour cream, and guacamole. Various salsas all very good and with various intensities of heat.
The cashier was super nice!!!! I liked that the food tastes like homemade. I liked that you can get your own salsa. The place is very clean.
Been a patron here for over 30 years. Always fresh n delicious. The chicken mix is always a favorite. Try it in a quesadilla or tacos. Parking is tight, but there’s usually a spot somewhere in the communal parking lot.
The food is great! Even when they are super busy the wait is never long. The gals handling the counter are very nice and always have a smile on their face This means a lot to me, especially when someone is serving my food. I recommend the potato tacos and the Chile relleno. It's as close as I can get to my mom's cooking.
Chill place. Good machaca & chorizo breakfast burritos and carne & lengua super burritos and tacos dorados de papa. I only had those so far. Business hours are very generous for when we can't make it ourselves. My family's favorite Mexican food since moving to Pasadena.
Amazing place!!! Too many people sleep on this staple of Pasadena. Everything I've gotten here has been excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. It's like walking into a small town restaurant where you feel welcome from the minute you walk through the door
Best hard shell deep fried tacos in Pasadena area. A little bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. Haven't tried the hard shell potato tacos yet, but hear those are great as well.
Crispy tacos with piping hot ground beef, tasty and well-seasoned tostadas. Don't forget the spicy (or mild, if you're into that sort of sauce) salsa! There's always a very good reason when a restaurant makes it into the L.A. Times news! 😋🌮🫔
I've said it once I'll say it again. This is the best taco 🌮 shop in Pasadena by far. 🏆 I prefer their asada tacos with their spiciest sauce. 🔥 Three does me just right. I will say that I think the taco truck 🚚 up the street on the east side of Fair oaks might one up them a tiny bit, however, they're only there at night and whenever I'm in Pasadena during the day, los tacos is definitely the place to be. ☝️ There's a pretty wonderful Italian 🇮🇹 deli next door as well to grab some sweet treats. 🥐🍺
Forgot to take a photo of my fish taco and chicken mole taco to add to this review but they were both very tasty. From reading reviews, I knew I wanted to try a fish taco since it is fresh, flaky fish, not the typical fried fish. Los Tacos has a salsa bar but I didn't need to use any of those sauce options. The tacos were moist and tasty as served. We got there at about 1:45 pm on a Wednesday. I didn't find a parking place but others in my group had no trouble finding a spot after other people left. I ended up parking at the Von's parking lot and walking over. Los Tacos doesn't stand out signage wise but it was worth finding. Others in my group had nachos, combos and chile rellenos which all looked delicious and ample. They also have sopes on the menu which you don't find everywhere. They serve beer and wine in addition to sodas, horchata, tamarindo and jamaica. Alas, I was driving so didn't have an alcoholic beverage but it's available for those who want it.
Great food. Myself and babe love the hard shell tacos accompanied with beans and rice. Nice portions and affordable. Diamond in the rough. Been going here 20+ yrs.
Antiquing or shopping for art? 🎨 This is a great hole in the wall place to rest your body while you plan your next move. And, only steps from four of the best antique and art galleries in Pasadena. Try the TACOS. 🌮 TRUST ME.
I live in the area and absolutely love this place. Its a casual neighborhood taqueria, that does the trick. They have great vegetarian options and the service is phenomenal. We love coming here. Been coming here for over 10 years and have not once been disappointed. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
I like the place, the food, the owner even gave some time to talk with us.
I was taken to this place for the first time by my brother there's a hospital right down the street so my other brother took me to eat here and he told me it was the best tacos ever
Omg must try the hard shell ground beef 🌮 DELICIOUS 😋
I've been coming here for years. I love their nachos, tacos, and taquitos! Always fresh, always delicious. It's nicer inside than the average take-out spot, because they have a number of booths and tables where you can eat your food. The place is clean and the restroom is kept clean as well. It's my go-to place for Mexican food.
One of the best tacos I have ever had. They are packed with loads of meat and are so delicious. The interior is really nice and chill, and the staff are great. They have a deal of 4 tacos for $15, which is nice value. An extensive menu with all of the Mexican favorites, including breakfast options. Very solid option for some tasty and quick Mexican food.
The fish tacos is great! Unlike most fish tacos which are battered and deep fried, theirs are just fish meat in the tacos with toppings and sauces. Really excellent. Their restaurant is pristine...as in spotless. I couldn't stress it more. Lots of nice mexican decor, very nice ambiance. The crew are very nice too. Will come back to taste the other food they offer in their menu.
An authentic look location, it was a quiet time when I was there, I enjoyed my time over there. I got the birria, and it was tasty.
Breakfast Menu is what we came for and I was surprised with the flavor they put into the meals really good choice if you are on your way to work, really good customer service and always a smile for everyone.

I had some fish tacos ... nearby there are two food trucks with big long lines, BUT NO FISH TACOS!!!! And being lent, what more Catholic thing to do that this.... ? Plus you have some nice tables.... and really the rice is soooooo home-made tasting!!!!!! Plus the drinks are nice and big. Had two fish tacos, rice chips and I big o'drink... maybe the taco truck offerings are cheaper, but much smaller AND sit wherever.... I highly recommended... just the rice alone is super-fresh and tastes incredibly home-made. Plus the ladies are so nice and gratious.... oh also had a TV...
I didn't think I would find an authentic taco shop in this area of Pasadena. But this one is. I ordered one carnitas taco and one hard-shelled ground beef taco. They were both so flavorful and juicy. The salsas were excellent. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things.
They have the BEST Menudo I have ever tasted, and they are not stingy with the meat (tripe, etc..). The service was A-1 and I will continue to visit this restaurant as much as possible.
I first went to this restaurant for service when I worked for Coca-Cola several years ago. I have been going back ever since. I get the burrito de lengua, it is tasty and generous portion of meat. My wife enjoys the #8 chile relleno plate and #9 Chicken Mole plate. Try the Jamaica if not your taste they have a selection of fountain drinks. Enjoy.
Best hard tacos I ever tasted gonna try my items next time

This is our go-to taqueria in Pasadena. They have really great potato tacos and the vegetarian tostada. Whether you are dining in or getting it to go this taqueria is one of the best in Pasadena.
Visiting Pasadena and Googled local Mexican food. Very happy with the food service and decor. Nice change from corporate fast food menus. Clean restrooms are a plus. The vegetarian burrito is the bomb. Really, it's huge!
I got birria tacos. They're small street tacos. Flavor is good, but a bit pricey in my opinion. Over $4 a taco. I got 2 tacos and a drink and spent about $12
Good food but pricy. It's next to another great restaurant which I wont name here but I expect the competition between both to be high since they both use premium/good produce. It's not my go to place and I do try to avoid it because of the higher than what I expect prices but when I do pay the higher prices it's a good buy.
Food was decent I enjoyed the chicken mole my husband had the asada plate which he said was okay and he didn't like his potato taco at all I would definitely eat here again if I'm in the area
I've been going there for 20 + years. Unfortunately the last time I went there my chili rellano was old and burned on the bottom side which they tried to hide with extra sauce on top. It was thin and soggy with greese . After taking my second bite, I looked up to see both chefs looking at me to see if I could tell how bad it was. No sense in telling them and expecting anything to be done about it. I sent an email out of consideration to the owner and never got a reply.
We usually get tacos for takeout: a good variety. I especially like the softshell chicken mole tacos and green-chili pork tacos. A cheese enchilada was overcooked and tough to slice through at home. But we'll return for the tacos. Free parking onsite.
This is a nice little restaurant that my wife brought me for lunch. I got the super chili renello burrito that was really good burrito and wife got the two chili renello plate she enjoy it..
Can only comment on the fish tacos and nachos as those are the only things I've been eating here over the years. Fish tacos are made of tilapia and have the soft tortilla, onions, tomatoes, and radishes as well as sliced lemon. Each plate comes with four tacos. Nachos are my favorite and come loaded on a plate with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, breaks, onions, tomato and cilantro.
Friendly staff but tacos are a little pricey and super greasy. Stay away from al pastor, but the carne asada and lengua was pretty tasty.

Ordered the carne asada soft tacos. Very tasty. Plenty of meat. A little pricey but overall good is good. Inside it’s clean and staff are friendly.
I called my order in. The Host was polite, friendly and knew the menu well enough. I ordered the machaca breakfast burrito with beans and their award winning hard shell potato taco. I'm not the biggest fan of machaca, but this was not good. The beans were bland. The meat was bland. The bell peppers were hardly grilled. The potato taco is not for fans of Mexican food. The only saving grace here was the salsa bar. Although the picked jalapenos were not spicy at all. I visited 5-10-25

The food is good, and the price is ok. Every time i eat in there is a FLY or 2. That is very annoying so i dont go as often.
Service needs a huge upgrade. Beware, NO refills!! You will get bit if you ask. Yet, it is still tasty. (shrug)
If their employees were a little more pleasant and were more appreciative of your business I wouldn't mind eating there more often. The prices are higher than the next marginal Mexican restaurant.too. Wouldn't recommend highly. Sorry.
The food wasn't that bad but the customer service was! They are in a hurry to get you out of the door and not polite at all. I don't think I'll be returning here for any reason. Not even if the were giving away free food. Thank you but no thank you!
Food is average. Lack in flavor. Three salsas available and they are all bland. Food is slightly overprised, torta for over 8dls? Cup of Guac 6dls? Nachos are good. Okay service. Its an ok place.
Nice selection, clean, pleasant staff. Value for your money however a distinct lack of flavor. They do have a nice setup for social distancing and they offer a few outdoor tables.
I don't want to hate, or discourage others, but at first visit I was not overly impressed. $4 for an 'average' Street Taco seems a bit steep. Perhaps because of the time of day, the meat was not fresh. And pricing for other items also seemed a bit high. The menu options however, were plentiful. The service was nice, and the place was clean. That said, I would maybe give it a second try for some of the other items?! If I do, I will certainly come back and amend this review.
Not overly excited about this place. The food has been either bland or too salty. Gave a tip the last time I was in there (1-2 weeks ago) thinking if you dine in they bring the food to your table only to have to pick up my order from the counter. I have eaten here approximately 4-5 times hoping I'd find something I liked. Do not recommend.
Decent. I really like that they have a “mini burrito” for those times you’re not super duper hungry. Also, oddly, the bathroom door is really unclear if it’s locked or not. Super minor thing but enough to write about I guess? 🤷🏻♂️
The food was okay. But the Hispanic women who takes the orders ... she was rude all the time. My husband and I went in 2010 to 2011. She spoke Spanish and little English. We stop going because the service sucks. She had bad attitude and not very happy to work there.
This place would have got five stars if they had spicy salsa. I got a carne asada burrito super delicious I asked for spicy salsa I got some red sauce and there was absolutely no spice to it whatsoever I'm talking not even a hint of pepper or something to give off some type of spice. If you're a Mexican restaurant you should have spicy salsa. I understand there's people that don't like spicy make a salsa for them but if someone requests spicy salsa you should have spicy salsa you're a Mexican restaurant.a Mexican restaurant with no spicy salsa is like a car that is missing two wheels.
Nothing to write home about. The hard tacos were good, but not award winning. The chile relleno burrito was long on promise and short on chile relleno, all beans and rice. Good luck...

If this are the best tacos in Pasadena I don't want to go to any other place for tacos here. Not bad but definitely not the best. I guess I'm just used to the L.A. tacos or O.G. Mexican tacos.
The street tacos are not the best , I will come back to try something else , I don't recommend it if you had real street tacos , the price for a taco is 5.50 each . It's not worth the price.
Food is not as good as before, maybe new cooks, carnitas hard and old, enchiladas came out more like a burritos, really sucks. Used to love this place.
Got the enchilada plate, beans and rice were ok, the enchiladas were cold!! Definitely wasnt freshly made given I placed my order 10 minutes before arriving. Probably wont go here again
any order are very expensive, 1 taco is $ 4.75. special $15. for 4 tacos. burrito is about 15 $$$. taste ok. I don't recommend!!
My favorite Mexican food place was a real bummer this time, and I'm always bragging about how they take pride in their food in taste and presentation. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up, and the quality is down. I like the mini burritos with ground beef-light beans-and cheese, but this time they were so greasy, not juicy, but greasy; leaking out of the foil and the bag which has never happened before. I don't digest grease well, so I couldn't even finish it. The cheese was skimpy, too, so I took it back and was told it was there, but the meat is so hot it desentegrated and was given an extra piece of foil to catch the grease instead of remaking it or at least putting it in a fresh tortilla (since it was soaked in the grease). By the time I got home, the grease had soaked through the double foil and the paper bag and out into the plastic bag they put it in to go. A messy mess!!! SO VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTING.😕
Food is not authentic, expensive and you have to get your own food from the counter then they expect a tip
I used to love the tacos here. But lately the Carne asada is extremely dry/burnt. And unfortunately, if you're getting tacos you can't really tell until you bite into it. Considering they've raised their prices (which is understandable coming off of these 2 covid years), I expect better from a $6 taco than dried out meat.
Lady working the front was really rude. Food was more expensive than it needed to be
"While the burritos were satisfying, I found them to be quite expensive for what they were. Additionally, the salsa lacked any real flavor and could have greatly benefited from better seasoning."
Their hard shell tacos are delicious. Unfortunately since the quarantine was lifted, their prices have skyrocketed. Though I understand why they have been forced to increase charges, it is not like consumer incomes have increased dramatically. This is a photo of a burrito I paid $14.33 for. Not enough value for what they're offering. This is my last visit. There are better and more moderately priced venues.

Almost 5 dollars per street taco. The tacos are average and nothing incredible. This must be the “gringo” prices bc no taco should be that much. Salsas are good but the tacos are so small. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Tacos are very expensive at $4 I could have gone to Alberto's which is a franchise Taco Mexican place and and had me two big tacos for that price there was nothing special about that restaurant if they wanted to charge me $4 a taco I should have been served I should have been seated like a real restaurant at $4 at Taco that's ridiculous fast food the most important part the tacos did not taste like $4 tacos they tasted like dollar tacos I won't be going back
I know we are in the middle of a pandemic. I know things are tough for a restaurant owner but... we ordered two bowls of menudo and it what we got back was two cups. Not enough for the $20 we spent. Oh...it was chewy!
Food was ok but was serve like if they give you a bit more they gonna go broke the girls working there act way to clingy about everything they give no courtesy at all we spent 40 bucks an asked for tortillas they said no i cant say they purposely put a gang of salt on my girls menudo but they were acting unpleasant ill never go there again an the potato tacos taste horrible i suggest if anyone does go here be prepared to get plain wack service from maria de la pata fria
It's not the worst Mexican food, but imma need them to get a better vendor for the meat they use. YUCK! The service was great and the place was very clean. The rice was good...
Pricy for what the taste of the food is. Their service at the cashier to order is bad, rude and not friendly at all. I vould have spent the same $50+ on a different fast food place and I would have been happy with it. Never again!
My burrito meat was basically raw didnt taste very good and on top of that, they couldnt wrap a burrito. Salsa tasted pretty good though so it help me eat the burrito but it wasn't enough to help me finish it. Wouldn't reccomend to anyone... >:(
Not a very good place to eat. The carne asada was gamey, food was cold, flour tortillas were stiff. Food was expensive, they were cheap about refills and stared at me about a tip. Avoid this place!!!
The cashier had so much attitude. I don't think she wanted anyone to order anything. So unwelcoming. To add to it, You order at the counter and pick up and take the food to the table, which is fine. But she could not be bothered to speak in any other tone but a rude one. Food was ok, rice lacked flavor. No pico de gallo, by default. The food was out real fast. We were the only ones there. Never going back, There are 10 Mexican food spots within 3 blocks, easy to lose business due to a rude cashier
First time here and I will not be back. I experienced two things that are also in the other reviews. There are small bugs flying around while you are eating. I feel like this should be able to be controlled. Obviously it's a problem. Also, I feel like I was profiled getting out of my car. I didn't existence friendly service. And of the other two tables dining, I was the only one that they didn't bring the food to my table. They called me to pick it up. And the food was definitely below average especially for the price. The taco was just ok but not a lot of meat. The enchilada was dry and the sauce that was on it was not good at all. It tasted sweet. The beans were ok but no cheese and didn't like the rice.

I had driven by Los Tacos for years. It's on a strange corner and difficult to get in, unless you're heading down Fair Oaks, which I rarely do. However on this summer day, I had the opportunity, so I stopped by. Many people have recommended Los Tacos to me, so I was expecting something special! I stepped up to place my order. Hmmmm,, what do I want. The gal at the counter was impatient (I could see if there was someone behind me in line, but there wasn't anyone). I asked her how the tacos are and she told me that people come back for them. Okay, two tacos and a Coke. Over $16? This better be good. I sat down and waited for my meal. It's ready! Wait, I ordered two tacos and there's a plate with almost nothing on it. Two street tacos? I asked the gal if this is what two tacos are? Yup! Yes, it tasted good, but it's not $16 worth of food. I left hungry and disappointed.
Honestly the staff crew did show a great hospitality environment . Very clean , but Honestly the wet burrito was out of my liking. Not very pleasant
