I attended a 25th wedding anniversary here last night. Great food, amazing ambience with live music and friendly staff! The live music is played outside on the front patio which is a great idea so you can hear the music but it isn’t so loud inside the restaurant that you can’t have a decent conversation. Looking forward to coming back sometime soon.
This place is amazing! Bianca was great and took care of us well. She was so attentive and met our every needs, the drinks were DELICIOUS… highly recommend the bottomless mimosas (never saw the bottom of that!) Bianca made sure we were all good and stopped by often to check in. 11 out of 10.
My wife and I went to see a mid-week jazz performance (no cover charge). Nice, cozy eclectic vibe. I ordered their chicken sandwich, which was very large. The chicken breast was panko-coated and very crispy with lettuce and tomato. Fries were good, also. The server was very attentive and helpful.
Bottomless brunch bliss thanks to Bianca! She was absolutely amazing, so attentive and always made sure my drinks were topped off with a smile. Her energy was just what you want on a weekend outing, and the food was delicious from start to finish. The whole experience felt easy, relaxed, and super well taken care of. Shoutout to Bianca for making it such a memorable visit!
Met up here for a birthday dinner with my girls and we had such a nice experience! Drinks were beautiful, food and service were excellent, and the vibes were relaxed and fun, especially with the live music outside - a really great meetup spot in Old Pasadena! For drinks our party had The Empress (gin cocktail), Lavish Hibiscus (tequila cocktail), Lola Fairy Berry (vodka cocktail), and a Pineapple Coconut Mojito. Their drink presentation was definitely gram-worthy - and our party loved all of them except the Lavish Hibiscus (too bitter). But they happily exchanged it for another choice (no charge for the untouched drink) - so definitely high quality customer service here! For food we shared a bunch of their appetizers - the Mac ‘N Cheese, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Breaded Zucchini, and some fries. Everything was plated beautifully and utterly delicious- especially the Brussel sprouts - they were my fave! Our server was fantastic as well - very attentive, helpful, and friendly - my water glass was never less than half full haha! The vibes are so cute too - sort of rustic, shabby-chic style with some really beautiful paintings hanging all over the walls and splashes of color to break up the wood theme - very Old Pasadena - loved it! Truly a place to take your time and have a relaxed catch-up sesh with the gals (even on a busy weekend evening)! Prices are mid range and comparable to the surrounding area. Parking is nearby in one of the numerous public lots or on the street but that’s difficult to find in Old Pasadena. I usually use the De Lacey garage - always find a spot there and it’s super affordable!
Took my nine year old out for a daddy/daughter date night and came here for dinner. This was my first time in. The menu has low carb options, so I was intrigued. Our waitress was very polite, attentive and sweet. I ordered the salmon steak. Seeing as how I'm used to these steaks from Japanese or Korean markets (where they are ut as steaks), I was not sure what to expect. I also gave cooking specifications: crispy on the outside, moist and juicy inside (basically seared/rare). The salmon delivered on both counts and even had crispy skin! A delicious cut and they gave me more vegetables in place of the potatoes. It was bomb! My daughter's plate looked real yummy. Beef bolognese and she was very happy with the flavor. My girl LOVES pasta like her mom, so I know if she digs it, it's good. The place is not too big. Cozy and comfortable although the interior is a little too dark for my liking (as you can tell from the pictures). I do recommend this joint and I will definitely be back. Now I'm really curious about their Sunday brunch! That is next to try.
Brunch was good! Got here right when it opened and it was empty. Still recommend making reservation incase. 2 hour limit for bottomless mimosas. The Fidel's Pancakes were really good with my side of crispy potatoes that I would definitely order again! The all American breakfast is also a good choice and you can add pancakes on the side or other sides. For dinner I got the "old town" a simple classic burger with a juicy patty! My wife got the short ribbed tacos and those were also delicious 🤤 The staff is chill, Very attentive. The atmosphere was chill. Great place for brunch or date night! Was full when I went for dinner so expect to wait if you go in big groups. Im Glad they had lights at the tables to take these awesome pictures.
Delicious everything! Indoor and small outdoor seating with live music outside on most days. We visited on a Monday for happy hour, and they had a Monday madness special where all appetizers were half priced, pretty much half price on liquor drinks and specials on the beer. It's not a special menu, with smaller plates like a lot of places like to do for happy hour, no, order from the regular menu and the cost is subtracted on your receipt (see photo). Food was great, lots of good choices, with a unique twist to traditional bar food. Services was wonderful as well.
Sweet live jazz in the alley. Solid appetizers and cocktail happy hour. Great Black-n-Blue burger! We sat outside, but the inside looks cool. Definitely give it a try.
This place is an all-around great find, tucked away down an awesome little side street in Old Town Pasadena. The wine list and spirit menu are truly exceptional, with a thoughtful and impressive selection. The food is consistently delicious, especially for meat lovers—it is definitely a meat eater’s heaven. There are not too many options for vegans or vegetarians, but their fries are really good if you need a simple snack. There is often live music, which adds to the fun, laid-back atmosphere, and they have some great happy hour deals too. The staff is super friendly, and the venue has both indoor and outdoor seating, making it easy to find the perfect spot to relax. The space itself feels really original and was clearly created with a lot of love and care. Whether you are coming by for drinks, a meal, or just to enjoy the music, it is definitely worth a visit.
We got to sit outside as it was pretty busy and you needed a reservation but then we got seated at a bright table right away. Our waiter was great and so was the food, they had live music and it was pretty cool to listen to also relaxing. Went to the bathroom and it was pretty busy inside too. I want to bring my best friend here I know she will enjoy it. Definitely will be back to try more tasty dishes.
We came here yesterday, and while the atmosphere was nice, the overall experience was just okay. The food wasn’t bad, but it lacked flavor — definitely could’ve used more seasoning. The drinks (beer and mimosas) tasted watered down, which was a little disappointing. When we checked in for our reservation, the staff at the front weren’t particularly friendly. Not rude, but also not welcoming — no smiles or warmth. Out of the five servers we interacted with, two were genuinely sweet and attentive, which we really appreciated. We also believe the owner was there. He walked around and greeted other couples, but never stopped by our table. Instead, it felt like he just stared at us, which was awkward. We thought he might come by to introduce himself or at least check in, but that never happened. Overall, the place has potential and a cool vibe, but between the underwhelming food, watered-down drinks, and so-so hospitality, it just didn’t hit the mark for us.
I was just going to leave my star rating on this review, but the owner response was a little confusing. Yes, it is me? Just perhaps not the one you're thinking of? I came with my family (4) for brunch on Saturday and we simply didn't really enjoy the service or the food. To be fair the prices were reasonable in 2025, and the photos and other reviews brought us here in the first place but it didn't really meet our expectations. So if I'm needing to defend my review: Food: It was fine, nothing special, but not terrible, probably wouldn't come back for anything in particular. Service: The server didn't really seem to care if my family was talking and would interrupt to ask us to do minimal tasks like hand them plates or pass the pitcher of water to the other side of the table so they wouldn't have to walk around.. all things again not really worth mentioning, which is why I initially only put in a star review. The main thing that bothered me though was when the bill came they were commenting on the tip amount (somewhere in the 15-20%range) my father was leaving as he was entering the payment info, and was kind of just hovering over his shoulder the entire time. It just seemed weird, and made us uncomfortable. Atmosphere: We sat outside, didn't really step into the establishment.
I wanted to like this place because I love live music but their food was ABYSMALLY bad. I ordered the snapper and my boyfriend is ordered a burger. The fish was tasteless and accompanied by the greasiest spinach, which was sopping wet for some reason?? The whole dish was an odd pairing. I was hoping I just ordered the weirdest thing on the menu and the burger would be better. But nope! Also slimy, I literally had to spit it out. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
A burger was served to us on a broken plate. After raising the issue with the waitress, we were offered only a 15% discount on the burger once the bill arrived. This is completely unacceptable treatment for customers. We have been coming here regularly, but unfortunately, this will be our last visit.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The waitress looked drunk and was completely inattentive, the food was disgusting and barely edible, and the prices were outrageous for what they served. The calamari was hard like elastic and are you kidding me what restaurant serves calamari with out cocktail or marinara sauce!!!!! The potato skins were microwaved potato skins!!! Burger was the only decent thing. I came here because of the positive reviews. DONT BELIEVE THEM! Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values customers and food is edible.
