A tiny place in the center of Pavia, nestled beneath stunning arches surrounding a beautiful square! A precious little gem for my short vacation… I was truly struck by their kindness and cheerfulness, which immediately made me feel welcomed and at home after a long journey. I had a small appetizer called a "cicchetto" and a fantastic aperitivo to accompany it, which kept me hooked for the rest of my stay. It's precisely for their unique and delicious spritzes that I highly recommend "l'ombra de vin Bacaro Poetico." So if you find yourself in Pavia looking for a moment alone or with friends… they're the perfect place!

An innovative and delicious venue, it revisits the Venetian tradition of cicchetti (slices of bread with various garnishes), paired with ombrette (house wine in small glasses), beers, or cocktails. The space inside is limited, while there are plenty of tables outside in the piazza. Overall, the quality is good: the original and unusual aperitivo concept for Pavia is also worthy of praise. Prices are fair, and the staff is very helpful and courteous.

I go there every now and then when I'm downtown for a glass of wine. I've never had anything else. In the winter, they also serve mulled wine and other hot drinks. A while back, they even offered a glass. I think it's cheap, €2 or €3. The other prices are normal, but still cheaper than another wine shop nearby. It's very small inside, basically just the counter; there are tables outside and under the porticoes. I like it for the view of the square and the atmosphere. It's left-leaning, but I don't mind.

Located in the center of Pavia in Piazza Vittoria, this bar is famous for its spritzes: it's one of the rare places where you can drink the original spritz with Select, truly excellent! The menu also features numerous spritz combinations, some very interesting ones that I hope to try in the future, perhaps during an aperitivo. I highly recommend Xena; I wouldn't have given it a cent, yet it was a real discovery! The service is quite inconsistent; one waitress rudely responded to us, for no apparent reason, after we told her we'd be moving tables, while another waiter was very kind and willing to make a joke. Compliments for the cocktails, expertly crafted. I recommend it.

As the name suggests, it is a wine bar with a strong reference to Venetian bacari. The owner, a young, sociable and polite person (and also quite knowledgeable), is very helpful, his passion for this job shines through, congratulations! The place is not very large and tidy but it has tables under the portico in the main square of the city; the service could be improved, perhaps the unchipped bowl, a napkin under the glass or two pieces of bread to mop up the "excellent green sauce" we tried, wouldn't hurt. The wine and cicchetti are excellent and reasonably priced (also considering the location of the place). With a little more attention, this bacaro could really make a leap in quality! Overall, it was a very pleasant stop. Thanks

Original and delicious Spritzes, excellent cicchetti, a nice selection of natural wines. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the service, which, at least yesterday, was really, really slow; there was only one guy waiting on the packed tables who, understandably, couldn't possibly (no one could!) keep up with everyone without forgetting something. From ordering to receiving the second round of Spritzes, half an hour passed... a bit long. In any case, the staff is really kind and they all go the extra mile. It was definitely a bit of a mixed bag, but I'll definitely be back and I'm sure it will be a five-star experience.

Pub in the center of Pavia exactly in the main square! Top service (very fast and kind). They make good cocktails and a good selection of beers. Very honest prices! €24 for 3 cocktails, 1 beer, 2 cokes

A beautiful venue in Pavia's central square, quiet and, as the name suggests, poetic. The Spritzes are delicious, the reinterpretations are interesting, and the Cicchetti are noteworthy. Friendly staff. Good value.
