First day on our hike through the Val de Lys. What an amazing culinary start! Self made pasta with light touch, very refined. Great handcut tartare. And don't miss the dolce, the pistaccio tiramisu is yum. Last but not least, a lovely service.

Well worth the hike up and thru the ancient streets to get there. The other review was right... You are close when you find the cloud of cow 'aroma'. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is equally beautiful. We had the molten cheese for starter. I had the seasonal vegetarian pasta with wild fennel. My husband finished with the pistachio tiramisu and loved it. If you are in doubt about which wine to order, ask the waitress for a recommendation. There are delicious by-the-glass options. Totally recommended.

It’s a beautiful place and the food was incredible. It was a bit challenging to drive to and then also to find but it was well worth it. The pistachio tiramisu is amazing.

You find this gem after driving several kilometers into the mountain past Pont-Saint-Martin town and then walking through dark stone city smelly of cattle like in the middle ages. Until you bump into an old 1965 barn converted osteria where you are immediately greeted with light and warmth. The place is real experience. They cook local fare, have extensive wine list and speak good english. What else to ask for a hungry traveler in the darkness of the winter night? While menu contains different dishes they absolute best are meats. Try Carbonade con polenta - succulent beef pieces cooked in earthen pot with white wine and onion or Stracoto al Montefalco con polenta - piece of beef cooked in red wine sauce. In both cases it will be accompanied by polenta (cornmeal) . Ask for polenta conca in that case you will get it baked with butter and local Fontina cheese. Lots of both. And do not forget to ask for accompanying wine since they have many by the glass. To finish tiramisu with pistachio is something to die for - airy and just with the right amount of sweetness. Worth making a detour on your way to the mountains. The bill will not disappoint (116 Eur for a family of three in Feb 2025). Highly recommend.

Though a bit challenging to reach by car and tucked away in a small village, it’s worth the journey for its delightful, folkloric atmosphere and delicious cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone eager to experience the authentic flavors of the Bassa Valle D’Aosta! The fresh pasta is exceptional, served with homemade sauces featuring wild game and high-quality regional ingredients. The service is very friendly—though a bit slow, which was understandable given we visited on the night of October 31st at 9:30 PM. Overall, it’s a solid 4.6 out of 5 for a regional Italian restaurant!
