Fabulous BBQ place! Excellent location right off 101 on route to Bodega Bay. Excellent bone-in beef ribs. Tasty and juicy. Sold out quickly on weekends. The pork ribs are also good, but we love beef better. The tri-tip sandwiches was a bit too saucy for me though. Very efficient service system with ordering, paying, and picking up in separate lines. Salads, baked goods, and drinks are easily accessible on the open cooler displays like in the grocery stores. So we could just grab, pay, and start with small bites outside while waiting for our ribs to be done. Spacious outdoor seating with a lawn for picnic if you bring your own blanket. Clean bathrooms. Overall we had a great experience and will go back again.

Came to this place from out of town, my boyfriend insisted I had to try it! This place was a 10/10! The food was so good, fresh and delicious! I ordered the trip-tip sandwich, and we also got the chicken sandwich. We ordered some asparagus, beans, and mashed potato. The asparagus was one of the best ive ever had. The seating is nice outside especially when the weather is nice. The inside has a bunch of snacks and drinks. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Absolutely amazing food. The customer service was just as good. I tried barbecued oysters for my first time and absolutely love them. We had the pork belly sandwich which only is offered every two weeks. It was amazing. I highly recommend Lombardi's for anyone who is hungry or just wants to stop for a bite to eat and enjoy some amazing barbecue!!

Review based only on BBQ beef ribs. They are delicious and reasonably priced at $29 for a full rack. Lots of meat. Lots of drinks to choose from and sides if you're into that, like deviled eggs, potato salad, mac salad, cookies, desserts and much more.

What can I say about this long-standing staple in Petaluma the town I grew up in. This is easily the best barbecue house in the area hands-down. I’ve been coming here for quite a while and I have never been let down. From the meats to the sandwiches to the macaroni and potato salads and all the local fair it is all top-notch. Now let’s talk about the quality and quantity of the food you get for the price. One word…exemplary!! I bought two barbecue meat plates for my recent trip. This totals a half a chicken two smoked sausages and four ribs for a total cost of $28. I’ve been some places for half of that would cost $28. They are 5 minutes from my work so I live to go and smell the Smokey air and try new things. Keep it up folks! Winner winner…chicken dinner!!

We come from Sacramento to get this barbecue. It is worth the price and atmosphere. There’s not enough shade The staff could be nicer inside but the guys at the barbecue are really cool. I suggest you don’t order inside, It’s kind of a lot of eye rolling. Maybe just order your food on the phone ahead of time. Keeping interactions with the counter staff to a minimum.

Overall great deli. Sandwich was very large and at a decent price. I tried the pesto chicken and pesto pasta salad to go. Large area to hang and lots of options to spend money on. Definitely worth another visit. Although seems like the weekends probably get crazy busy there.

They killed it with the BBQ! It was on point, the meat was amazing and the chicken as well SOO GOOD! Great smoked also highly recommended the pulled pork sandwich!!! And everything I saw people making big order so everything should taste good. The service it’s great, they already have a system and easy to follow! They also have clean restrooms. They have a big area to go with your family, friends and pets and eat there right next. Great spot definitely will go again!

I was super skeptical when I walked inside and saw that the staff was using microwaves to heat up almost everyone’s orders, but when I tasted my sandwich I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh and delicious my pork sandwich tasted. It’s a bit crazy on the inside, but worth the chaos. The place could use an extra table or 3 outside on the lawn, but we also visited during peak lunch rush on a Saturday afternoon.

As a very critical barbecue eater, especially since barbecue isn’t light and every bite counts calorie-wise, here’s my honest take. Chicken: Cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy, and packed with smoky flavor. This is a 5 out of 5. Oysters: Large and juicy. Slightly too salty, but still very flavorful and something I’d order again. Brisket: Good overall and very tender, but it didn’t quite blow me away. Pork ribs: These may have been an off batch, but mine were a bit too dry and overly salty. Overall: I like all the flavors. The gigantic smoker definitely makes the barbecue outstanding. It was just leaned a bit too salty for my taste.

I LOVE BBQ and this place has the best ribs! Super moist, meaty and so tasty. Their chicken? Not so great, kind of dry. We ordered a full rack of baby back ribs and half a chicken. We got 2 chicken, so had to go back and show our receipt and the boxes and they were a little annoyed with us. But half chicken is $8 and the rack is $30, so we definitely wanted it. All their other food is pretty good though salads, deviled eggs, pies, cakes, sandwiches. We will make the drive for those ribs. If you go though, be prepared for a busy place, this place is a gold mine!

Smelled the smoke from the grills at the intersection and had to try it. Food was great. Great service, the cashier helped out with what to order because everything looked good. The atmosphere was was great. Definitely recommend if you're in Petaluma or just down for an adventure for good BBQ.

This deli and BBQ spot was great. The chicken was amazing, but the rest was just okay. The baby back ribs were cooked well but needed more flavor. The tri-tip was chewy and our least favorite. The salmon was a big hit. You can buy fresh salads from the deli and enjoy a picnic at the outdoor tables on the lawn. Prices are fair.

The food here is incredible! You will not be disappointed in the BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich. The bread is so soft, meat cooked to perfection and it’s very filling. Substantial portions. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The guys on the grill were very very friendly and do a great job. Atmosphere is take out or sit at one of the outdoor tables on the patio or lawn. It’s next to the road so if you like watching the passersby it’s a fun environment. There are a lot of really nice pre packaged salads and to go items. They also have wine, beer, and a nice selection of local sauces and other fun items to purchase. Highly recommend for a delicious sandwich.

I’ve always enjoyed Lombardi’s and have been a loyal customer for years, but I was disappointed by the lack of response after I reached out about a possible food-related issue. I visited on October 19th around 1 PM and ordered three BBQ oysters, a half pound of tri tip, and a spinach salad. Earlier that day, I’d only had black coffee, and later that evening I became ill and unfortunately lost my meal — it seemed to be a short-lived case of food poisoning. I emailed the team the next day, mainly to let them know so they could check on the oysters or salad ingredients and ensure everything was safe for others, but I never received any acknowledgment or reply. I’ve always liked Lombardi’s and hope this was an isolated incident, but it’s disappointing not to hear back after sharing a concern that could impact customer safety.

Don't be fooled by all the smokers outside. Baby back ribs were Lukewarm and definitely microwaved, could've done better myself with Costco and the oven. Sandwiches are slathered in sweet barbecue to cover up the taste that they are also microwaved on soggy buns. Sides lack flavor and character. Overall was so hopeful and left so sadly disappointed. The only redeeming quality was the staff was very friendly and helpful.
