Gelateria Arzano, an ice cream parlor on the edge of the pedestrian zone in Tortona, has very pleasant seating under a covered passage. The outdoor seating consists of simple plastic chairs. The ice cream parlor itself is modern and understated. The selection is sufficient, from milk ice cream to fruit ice cream, coffee, and cold drinks. The staff was reasonably friendly. My amaretto cherry ice cream was very good, the yogurt ice cream was okay. My wife didn't like the two chocolate ice cream flavors. The ice cream parlor is very busy, and the ambiance on the edge of the pedestrian zone was also very pleasant. Conclusion: The ice cream parlor is very nicely located on the edge of the pedestrian zone, with, in our opinion, a variety of good ice creams. The price-performance ratio is reasonable, and the staff is reasonably friendly.

November 5th, around 10:00 PM, we sat inside because the temperature outside was understandably unpleasant. We politely asked the girl serving us if we could close the door, but she asked the owner, who responded with a firm no. After we had consumed our food, at the time of payment, I asked to know why we had to stand in the cold, and the owner replied, "It's just the way it is, you don't have to come back, I don't need you." Just so you know! The owner replied: "Don't worry, never again!"

The customer service was disappointing. They made our friends at the table with us get up and only ate because we'd only had coffee. The service was rude, and the ice cream was barely adequate. I don't recommend it.

Terrible experience, you are forced to eat the ice cream outside and the staff is rude and they kicked us out because we were occupying a table for only 5 people. The ice cream is really terrible and they should close it down.

A terrible experience, one I'll never forget. We were sitting at the gelateria, everyone was enjoying gelato, and one person at our table had ordered a simple coffee. However, as soon as he finished his coffee, the staff forced him to leave the table, while we hadn't even finished our gelatos. Furthermore, the place has an absurd rule: gelato can't be consumed inside, but they force customers to eat it on the terrace. This behavior is incomprehensible and completely ruins the experience. This attitude was rude, discriminatory, and totally unacceptable. This is not how you treat customers. We will never return, and I strongly advise against this place to anyone looking for a serious and respectful place.

The man here is awful at customer service. Even though I spoke to him in Italian and asked if I could try one of the gelato flavors, he said no. I politely asked him why, and he didn't even give me a valid reason; I told him it's normal for a gelato shop to let you try flavors, and that others have done so. He continued, "Go there, then!" in Italian. If you want more customers and increase your profits, you have to treat them with respect. No wonder the place is so empty; the gelato must be terrible. ANSWER: I'm not stupid, I tried it so I could buy it—I even bought your gelato afterward, and it was significantly below-average. That's why trying gelato is good manners. You're clearly very stingy if you can't let anyone try even a gram of gelato. How sad.
