Try it yourself castro valley, Oakland, SF, Walnut Creek. Can't touch this. Soft bread fresh the steak marinated steak fries super yum. Pinole has the best cheese steak! Remember fresh bread marinated steak. King of Philly was on hit. Don't forget tip your makers.

It's the closest to a real "Philly cheesesteak" you can find in the West Coast. Which isn't saying much, but speaks volumes to those who know. It reminds me of the sandwich I had with my dad as a kid in West Chester Pennsylvania.

Pretty good sandwiches. Curly fries are okay. I recently tried the steak fries to change it up but I had to spit it out because it tasted like mold. I would still rate 5/5 because that’s the only issue I ever had over the few years I’ve been coming here.

I like the food here. It doesn't take long to get your order. It's a better fast food place than others. I love the sweet potato fries. It's a good place to run into when shopping on the area. A quick bite to eat and your on your way. The girl working at counter was nice and had a good attitude.

I was missing the days walking down the streets of Philadelphia & popping into a Philly Cheesesteak Shop. I used to love watching the chef grill the food. I am a meat eater & love the smell of sizzling beef, peppers & cheese. I came here to try the King Philly & was not disappointed. I was barely able to finish this scrupulous sandwich. To make the perfect lunch I indulged in an order of sweet potato fries, which where fantastic. I am still drooling. The folks behind the counter were nice & the price was right. What else can I say except I will have to moderate my new addiction. 🥰

The staff keep an extraordinary clean sandwich shop, are friendly and the cheese steaks here taste better than the other locations of the same restaurant. Probably made with extra commitment to customer satisfaction. I'm picky, do not like condiments and so on. This place is great!

I just doordashed a large size motown philly cheesesteak. This was perfect. I did american cheese, sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms, and mayo... omg it was so good. Got onion rings with ranch too. Ordered a salad and it was really good. Too many odd ball greens, but had lots of other things that made up for it. Staff were very friendly and busy.

Food is still really good (and messy). My wait today (Monday 1pm) was less than 10 mins, good for lunchtime. I like the advancement of a screen menu but could do without the "trendy" nicknames for the sandwiches, it makes looking for my regular order confusing. And the on line rewards program thing is just a joke. Signed up an no where does it say how to claim the rewards for the meal just purchased go back to the card and stamps.

Unique delicious taste! I almost stopped going though bc service had become really really slow once they started filling door dash orders. I waited close to an hour for 1 sandwich, but it seems like they got it together now...I'm still a customer!

I have definitely had a better cheese steak sandwich before. Very skimpy on the meat on your sandwich. Poor customer service. Got our order wrong. Will not be going back to this cheseteak shop.

My first visit. I lived in Wilmington DE just south of Philly for 3 years and visit often. I know subs and steaks. The cheese steak here was bland and tasted steamed not griddled. Maybe meat was too lean or too little oil was used, not rich enough for my taste. I like my steak, mushrooms and onions all to be slightly browned and caramelized, none of that was happening in my sandwich. I'm willing to wait 10 minutes for it to be cooked correctly.

They have changed a little bit. The new look on the inside is nice but they have changed the size of the sandwiches. The large size "King" gives you extra meat but the size of the roll doesn't accommodate the meat as well as the previous large Roll and makes it difficult to eat.

I went in the pinole store was disappointed that they didn't have the stamp card, wacky wednesday , fried vegetables, 7 and 15in philly's sandwich any more. I didn't want a 10 in because that was to much so i order a 5 and they shouldn't even have that on the menu they should have just on the kids menu cause that who is for. I will not be going back there. The only thing that would make me come back is the excellent customer service I give them a 10 and that's why they have three statrs. I feel if it ain't broken don't fix it that's why the Original owners was in business for 35 years. Made their customers happy.

It's ok. Portions are generous, ladies at counter are nice. Wish the cook seasoned the steak. You do get salt n pepper packets to do it yourself but it's just not the same.

coming from N.J I really wanted to try something close to home but was dissatisfied. We waited 34 minutes for our cheesesteak sandwich (time frame for lunch from 1-230) if you are in a lunch brake this is not a fast food place. 2nd, the price was not as advertised for the convo and a single sandwich is 11.59$ which would not be as bad if it didn't take so long as was so small and unfulfilling. Everyone waiting looked mad so it's better to call and take out I suppose. Will not return.

Cheesesteaks are really good. The problem here it's just downright filthy. The last few times i've been here the dining room has been disgusting. No clean tables, garbage overflowing. Makes me wonder how clean the food storage and prep areas are.

This place is managed very poorly. Lots of orders up and no meat on the grill. The girl on the grill looks like she has no clue on how to be efficient. Looks like no experience and no help. Every customer is mad about the wait. How can food go out if the person cooking doesn’t know what they are doing. Where is management? Why doesn’t anyone care about the customers time? I will never come back here. Small portions and way too long of a wait. Very bad hiring and training of staff. People are leaving. There is no line, just 20 people waiting for food

I was on hold for 20 minutes !! Do they not realize that almost somebody’s entire lunch break? Do not order from this location the employees don’t even care to be on time to work and that’s why I was on hold for 20 minutes because there was just the cashier and one cook. It’s sad that this is the only location, the owner of the SUISUN, CA Insurance by his customers time is valued & offer a much better customer experience, clean easily accessible location AND THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE ON TIME TO WORK !!

Absolutely abysmal. A 45 minute wait for a simple classic cheesesteak, there was a(very intoxicated) man yelling inside about how China controls GMOs which the staff did nothing about. That 45 minutes wasn’t even the full wait time—that’s just when I left, with at least two people still to go before my order came up. Food was tasteless on account of the fact that it never showed up. Avoid at all costs, it’s cheaper to buy ingredients at Target and go home to make it yourself—it’ll take the same amount of time.

Me and my kids were starving we wanted to get cheesesteak. online it says the store is open until 10 p.m. we showed up at 8:45 p.m. they turned us away a little tiny sign at the corner of the in the front of the store says close at 9 p.m. how hard is it to change your website so that we don't waste our time going out to a store that supposedly closes at 9 p.m. now but if you walk in at 8:45 you get turned away by a bunch of rude ladies

This Philly cheese steak use to be real good, but after tonight, I will have to try the Berkeley store on University and see if their is still the same, because the Pinole store just doesn't have the flavor anymore, it's bland, the meat has no seasoning, tastes like someone who doesn't know to season the food, it was much better when Brothers ( Black Men ) were cooking. They have lost my dollars !

Poor customer service. One of the female employee took my wrong order through the phone and when i got there she gave me nuggets instead. When i requested saying i never ordered a nuggets instead i ordered a sandwich. She started shouting back at me like crazy instead accepting her fault. What a disgusting customer service.

In the past orders were great, with good prepares. My visit this Friday was not so good. Steak was rubbery. Meat for multiple sandwiches are cooked together resulting in steamed meat. Will not go back to this shop.

I been coming here literally for 16 years I’m a 2 to 3 time a week customer and I always get extra meat and cheese it called the king if I ask for extra meat and cheese and I’m paying extra money for it I expect it to be that way and its always a problem this place is to high for yall to be doing that I will not be returning til it’s new staff working this is unacceptable not to mention I got sick one time and still came back and gave it another try so now I have to drive miles from my house to find a better location

Worst experience ever! No fountain drinks-although they advertise it- they just have you pick from a few bottles options. Bathroom out of order, place is gross-everything dirty...tables, napkin holders, chairs-nothing wiped down. Gnats all over. Says a lot about what the kitchen looks like, if the lobby/restaurant is gross.

Ordered through doordash. The order arrived stone cold. The extra cheese sauce i ordered was congealed. There was an issue with doordash but they should have remade it after it has sat for so long that the tray was soggy on the bottom. The shop is under 10 min away so i know the dasher came straight to me so there should be no reason for the sandwich to be this cold other than they let it sit. They knew they had messed up and gave me also an order of fries but the fries were even colder so this was just laziness and a disrespect to the customer.

Horrible customer service!! I called to place an order over the phone and was immediately placed on hold! After being left on hold for over 10 minutes I drove to the store while still on hold. Walked I to the store and there was none in line. I waked up to the counter and was met with and EXTREMELY rude employee by the name of Luna. I asked her if she forgot about the person on hold and she she tried to explain it away and asked what I wanted like my time ment nothing!! Horrible customer service and working attitude!!
